This was our 1st ever adult only inclusive accommodation that we stayed at. We were here for a co-ed bachelor and bachelorette celebration, July 4th weekend. Prior to our arrival, we had filled out a section about mixology and pillows, and we were welcomed with it on our arrival. We were on the 4th or 5th floor and had a balcony view with a tub. If you had a stay on the 1st floor, you would have a little pool section to yourself outside of your room. Staff was friendly anytime we encounted them. The rooms had a stocked mini-bar (drinks - soda and beer along with snacks). They have an app which you can make reservations through and also see what hotel activities were going on for the week.
The food places were nice, some requiring reservation prior. All locations have QR codes, one for drinks and one for food. As it is a all-inclusive, you don't need to pay anything or charge anything to the room, unless you chose one of the food choices that have a $ sign next to it on the menu. The restaurant workers' do very much appreciate tips in either pesos or USD.
Food presentations were nicely done when delivered to the tables. Restaurant and poolside alcoholic drinks were watered down, unless you ordered a solid shot of hard liquor. Room service was definitely a high point from our group who also stayed here. We had only taken advantage of ordering breakfast early by leaving the selected menu choices outside prior to 2am, after a night of drinking.
At the pool. ORDER THE OCTOPUS CEVICHE. It definitely has a kick, but it is SO GOOD! We placed an order for this several times whenever we were at the pool. Members of our group were also a fan of the wings. If you go to the quiet pool, that's right where they cook the food so you'll get your food faster there.
Mura House | DINNER | We had a show of the teppanyaki, yakitori, and sushi. This required reservation for us as our group was huge. We ended up having to divide our group as we had 20+ people and had different times. The meat was super tender and the drinks were tasty. We had a set menu and had the choices of ordering drinks and desert. Everything was tasty.
20.87 | BREAKFAST | This was the place to go for AYCE Breakfast/Brunch Buffet. There was always a line. The options were decent with breakfast options all around; pick your toppings for your omelette, fruit area, yogurt area, pastries/bagels/bread area, bacon/scrambled eggs/potatoes, and agua frescas. After a night of drinking, you would want to go here. After a regular night, it's also enjoyable to go here. Due to it being busy, sometimes it might also be good to sit outside to eat so you don't need to fight for tables. Just make sure to get a table in the shade.
20.87 | LUNCH| They serve a bread basket, different breads to try. Because we liked the octopus ceviche, we decided to try their version here. I prefer the pool one as it was much tastier. The sashimi is quite fresh, but comes in quite miniscule pieces. Make sure to order due to sizing. I thought the food selections we chose were okay. We ate here after finding out that the breakfast we had at Mi Carisa wasn't enough, and we were still hungry.
20.87 | DINNER | The team there sat us down due to whomever arrived (in 3s, 4s, 5s) as we had reservations. They served bread in the beginning and took our drink orders. We ordered crabcakes, argentian empanadas, beef filet, rib eye, fish of the day, grilled octopus, and the creme brulee. I enjoyed the crabcakes and the empanadas.
A table next to us ordered the Grill 20°87° Style * $62.00 USD | Cowboy, shrimp and caribbean lobster accompanied with a selection of roasted vegetables marinated with our chimichurri sauce, which looked like a big ass order. It looked pretty good, as it definitely smelled amazing.
Mi Carisa (Italian) | BREAKFAST |They do serve mimosas besides their fresh juices, smoothies, and coffee. We ordered the chilaquiles, rancheros eggs, and something else, along with a side of bacon. Make sure to order more if you are sharing family style.
Mi Carisa (Italian) | DINNER | Bread that they serve in the beginning is dangerously good with the balsamic. They have one that looks similar to pita bread cut into fours. I ordered the mushroom risotto and really enjoyed it. It was creamy and flavorful. A lot of members in my group enjoyed the Truffle Tagliolini.
Cueva Siete (Mexican)| DINNER| The High Tide Tuna Tostada and Rib Eye tacos were hits in my table. We ended up ordering too much appetizers/tacos so didn't have space to jump into main entrees.
Cafe Inez | Open until 12am that served pastries, paninis, and coffee. They also made smoothies and had pudding choices available. This was so great! You can take a things to go when leaving the hotel.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would want to return, but we have other incoming life events that will prevent us from doing so.
