A far cry from the former helveti diner that once inhabited these halls. The burger was not up to the standards of today's Zurich burger scene. Bun had no fluff and was overdone, meat needed more seasoning as had little taste (dare I say even a bit dry) and condiments were not to standard (salad leaves that had dried up in my burger for instance). Not sure what the cheese was, perhaps a local one, but it was neither a classic American or Cheddar and wasn't properly melted. Some people might be into that, but I'm not one of them. The fries were fine and had a nice crisp to them. Sauces tasty too especially garlic mayo.
Price is also okay - 25 francs gets you a burger, fries and a drink. I understand it's the concept, but it was a bit tricky to have to go order at the counter and again pick up the food when done - the place is small and booths are not super easy to get out of if you are in the back end of them.
Loathe to give an average rating, especially with the seemingly quite friendly staff, but unfortunately I can't justify more for this burger. Hope they step up their game.
