Where do I start. So we reserved our table in advance but as we entered the restaurant, we weren’t even greeted. Instead, we received rude looks. A lady asked us what we wanted. We told her the name under our reservation. She looked unconvinced but later saw that we did in fact reserve. She then with an unenthusiastic expression showed us to our table. After viewing the menu, we went to order. The cooks kept giving us side eyes and yall we were dressed normally so 😭. Anyways as I paid she made a mistake with the payment. As I went back to explain she apologized so all good. Now the food. As we went up to bring the buzzer back and take our food, the cooks just kept on having a very judgy look. Like full on staring the whole time. It made us uncomfortable fr 💀. We asked for medium well but the patty was so dry. The bun, meat cheese was dry after 10-15minutes which was disappointing considering the amount of ingredients they had in them. Either way the atmosphere in the restaurant was very diner like. We were disappointed because we saw great ads on social media. Either way I wouldn’t recommend 😔🤚🏾.

Food was freshly and delicious (meet from CH) and fresh ingredients. Very much American! Very quiet without music so it was kind of very quiet. You can order online and pay online.

A place i really appreciate for lunch. Casual yet creative and very tasty. First time i ever had a veggie burger today (since this November is veggie special), and it was just delicious.

Great burgers in a well themed diner setting. The burgers were juicy with lots of topping combinations to choose from. Both the rosemary and sweet potato fries were delicious! Very friendly service too.

I had the Big Lebowski Burger. Asked for medium rare, but it was closer to well done. Meat is not delicious, mediocre. Free sauce for fries was not offered, although the fries were tasty.

A far cry from the former helveti diner that once inhabited these halls. The burger was not up to the standards of today's Zurich burger scene. Bun had no fluff and was overdone, meat needed more seasoning as had little taste (dare I say even a bit dry) and condiments were not to standard (salad leaves that had dried up in my burger for instance). Not sure what the cheese was, perhaps a local one, but it was neither a classic American or Cheddar and wasn't properly melted. Some people might be into that, but I'm not one of them. The fries were fine and had a nice crisp to them. Sauces tasty too especially garlic mayo. Price is also okay - 25 francs gets you a burger, fries and a drink. I understand it's the concept, but it was a bit tricky to have to go order at the counter and again pick up the food when done - the place is small and booths are not super easy to get out of if you are in the back end of them. Loathe to give an average rating, especially with the seemingly quite friendly staff, but unfortunately I can't justify more for this burger. Hope they step up their game.

Amazing burger place in central Zürich. The food was amazing and the view of the river only helped the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I have tried many burgers in my time but haven’t come across such a quality product in a long while. The patty was juicy, the bread freshly baked and the homemade sauces top end. This is definitely the best quality burger I have had in switzerland. I will return 100% but next time I will bring some friends for sure. Thank you Union Diner for the blast!
