I visited Union Hill with a friend before going to a show in Baltimore. We had a fantastic visit and I cannot wait to return when I have more time to sample the menu! From the moment you step into the restaurant, you can see how much thought went into every detail. The vibe is welcoming and classy but not stuffy. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We even spent time chatting with the owners who are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Since we didn't have much time, we only had starters. The goat cheese stuffed peppers and the short rib bites were phenomenal. The flavors and textures blended perfectly with every bite. If you are a fan of dirty martinis, I highly recommend their version on the seasonal cocktail menu. We also had their pistachio pisco cocktail which was a perfect after dinner drink. Can't wait to visit again soon. If I lived closer to Baltimore, this would definitely be my go-to restaurant!

I had the best experience celebrating my birthday at Union Hill. The customer service was impeccable. From the planning via email with Matt to our arrival everything was just perfect. We utilized their beautiful private room upstairs and it was the perfect amount of space for our group of 20. They even added linens and came up with a playlist for our group! To top it off they were so accommodating and split the check by 20!! Such a seamless and wonderful brunch experience. Also how could I forget the food was delicious!!

We recently visited Union Hill with some friends and brought our dogs to sit outside for dinner. It also happened to be our dog's 6th birthday, so we asked our server if it would be possible to have a pup cup made to celebrate. Instead of a pup cup, a group of staff returned with two full-sized dog charcuterie boards with whipped cream, blueberries, bone broth, peanut butter, and prosciutto (one for each dog in attendance)! The gesture was so genuine and kind it made our night. This was my second visit to Union Hill and the service has been amazing at each visit - definitely worth checking out if you haven't been!

We were excited to try this new spot that replaced Blue Hill and it did not disappoint. The setup is similar to the previous place, but it still feels like new and different. Union Hill is a scratch kitchen and truly the food is made with love and care. We started with the Goat Cheese Baby Peppers which were stuffed generously with a savory goat cheese. We also had the Fried Calamari which was some of the best calamari I've had, in that it was a bit different. It was nice and crisp but the breading had a bit of a sweet flavor to it and paired so nicely with the sweet chili sauce. For our entrees, we had the Steak Frites. The steak was a perfect medium and that chimichurri sauce was so fresh! The shoestring french fries were so delicious too, perfectly crisp but still potato-y. We also had the scallops which came with a tomato risotto. Scallops were cooked so nicely and the risotto was so flavorful. It was spicy however, which is something I can't tolerate, so my partner and I ended up switching dishes, but I did not want to because it did taste so good! We ended the night with the biscoff cookie skillet which was topped with ice cream. All of the ice cream is from Taharks Bros so you know it was good. The cookie skillet was warm and gooey and not too sweet which I enjoyed. Not pictured, the bottle of wine we ordered because they offer 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. The chef came out to greet us and tell us a little about the menu and some changes and was looking for feedback. He and the staff were so kind and accommodating and we look forward to returning!

Went to Union Hill last night and it was a great experience starting with a warm greeting from co-owner Dreama to excellent drinks delicious food, attentive service, and a top of the house tour with Matt the other owner Starting with a drink menu – the craft cocktails are innovative, creative and delicious. The wine menu is very good, and the beer selection includes many craft beers – shout out for a great local selection. Starting with a small plates on the left side of the menu… We really could’ve ordered the entire left side of the menu no joke. But, we started with the grilled halloumi, the shrimp with toast, which had a really great sauce, the short rib bites, which packed a flavor punch, and finally, the citrus avocado soup, which was perfect for a warm evening outside. For dinner, we had the salmon with spinach on top of polenta, which had great flavor, a kale Caesar topped with salmon which I ordered specifically at 125° because I hate overcooked salmon and they got it perfect. Also a pasta dish with beef that was so savory and tasty, and finally a perfectly cooked Seabass. Our server -Diane- could not have been better, and the other staff was so helpful anytime they came by and we needed something. We chose to sit on the patio because it was a nice night and it is on the east side of the building so even as the sun goes down It’s very pleasant. There’s no sun in your eyes… They do have a balcony with several table so that’s a nice alternative, and the inside furnishings have been updated from the prior restaurant. We also got a tour of the upstairs by Matt, and it remains a great space for a small private party or event. Highly recommend you make time to visit Union Hill – it will be one of the best decisions you make for your week!

Google
Place seemed nice so we decided to try it out. Sat upstairs view was nice Ordered food which took 30mins to come out, the chef came out to apologize, the waitress forgot to put the order in. We got the food eventually. The food was good. Before we left I ordered another beer which took 20mins to bring out when I went to cancel the order so we could pay and leave she finally brought it up. We left and went to another restaurant because the service was supbar and nothing was offered for the wait....

Went here with a friend for happy hour yesterday and it was so lovely! All of the staff were very warm, welcoming, and helpful. Great service, wonderful ambiance! We had the grilled peach & burrata, as well as the crispy short rib bites and honestly both were so tasty! The drinks were also on point (I had the El Jefe and the OnlyFans Martini lol). I really like the bar area that actually opens up to a cute patio area outside. 10/10 recommend.

Came here for the second time, this time for the Preakness brunch. The vibe was amazing. There was a DJ and all the doors and windows were open and it felt like I was in Miami or somewhere like that. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The food and drinks were delicious. We had 9 people. The ladies all got espresso martinis and hibiscus spicy margaritas. Everyone had a blast and raved about the food. It was very healthy and fresh tasting. We all want to come back.

Yelp
The service was amazing and they accommodated us and our 2 dogs so we could participate in the Patio Passport by Dogs of Charm City. The cocktails were made well and tasted fresh. I enjoyed the only fans, which comes with a rose shooter so to speak, so you can add it to your drink or sip it separately. I enjoyed the tuna tartare more than the halloumi because the halloumi felt like it was missing something. The peppers on the tuna and the sauce were a great combination. For dinner I had the salmon with risotto and I loved everything in it but the asparagus as I'm not big into it. My fish was cooked to my requested temperature and seasoned beautifully. The risotto was cooked perfectly. My spouse got the scallops and loved that they were thick and meaty while also being cooked just right. We're used to getting scallops half the size elsewhere. He enjoyed his dish but wanted mine more and I said no, haha! They brought out fries at our request for our dogs as we ran out of treats and provided water bowls for them. For dessert I had the key lime pie and it was very good. I'm very picky about key lime pie and this didn't disappoint. He got the peaches and cream dessert and he enjoyed that with the fresh ice cream from Taharka. We also took home bread pudding that was delicious. We will absolutely be back with and without it dogs. Our server was fantastic and she complimented how well behaved our dogs were.

Yelp
I finally tried Union Hill last weekend and we had a fabulous time. The bartender was super friendly and so funny, she was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The inside is well decorated and moody with warm lighting. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar with the breeze and sunlight blowing in. The food was great, we started with a dozen oysters which were delicious. Then we split the tuna tartare, which was sooo freaking good. The grilled halloumi was the perfect appetizer to finish with. We didn't try entrees this time, but we can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I normally don't give 5 stars but I thoroughly enjoyed lunch with my wife at Union hill located in canton. Ambiance: beautiful. Upon walking in you are greeted to black wooden floors, high rise ceilings, lighted bar with a waterfall wall and a staircase up to a private area. We were welcomed by the hostess and she directed us to our booth which was very comfortable. First off: shout out our waiter John he was excellent. He was friendly and gave us amazing recommendations that did not disappoint. We started off with the spicy pepperoni flatbread. Delicious the red sauce was fresh and had a similar sweetness to that of ledos. My wife had a lemonade and I had a hard ginger beer. It was a bit lackluster not better than actual ginger beer. Next entrees: Short rib Pappardelle pasta - very light and garlicky the short rib was braised and my wife highly enjoyed the entree I ordered the hazelnut crusted sea bass. It came with Parmesan risotto and sautéed spinach. DELICIOUS FILLING ALL AROUND SEASONED. The food was so good we didn't even get dessert. Yall please come

Yelp
The store's outside is brimming with personality, well decorated and lights up the street. Upon entering, the atmosphere is a mix of modern bar and cozy classy restaurant. The salmon was extremely well cooked, layered with well portioned rice and the green beens had some of the best sauce for green beens I've ever tasted. Sweet and sour to a great degree. The mocktail was delicious, made quickly, and well presented. The salad however was a shocking surprise. Feta, crumbled, arugula distributed, and portion balance was amazing. The shrimp was extremely well seasoned and distributed on the salad, just like the other ingredients, with amazing precision. Overall, must visit place.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday here in a group of 11 and everything was wonderful. We started at the bar with cocktails and apps and everything we tried was delicious. Cocktails were inventive and quick to arrive. We were taken good care of when we moved to the table to order our main courses and more drinks. The food was all fresh and delicious (although I am not sure about the gouda on the tacos with the shrimp) but other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
The service was good, our waitress was super accommodating. The host sat us next to the door which was open so I kept getting bitten by flies but our waitress moved us with ease. The ambiance is fine -- it's a really big space so it felt quite empty during Monday dinner. The food itself was okay. I enjoyed my cocktail and my boyfriend's beer was also very good. The shrimp toast was an interesting amalgamation of flavors. Not sure if this is a western take of Vietnamese shrimp toast? It's a sweeter dish if folks prefer that. The entrées are what kept us from ordering dessert. I've never had a risotto that tasted doused in oil? Butter? I'm not sure but by the end I had a puddle of grease in my bowl. The sea bass was fine though! The chicken forgione was salty. I know this place is new so definitely some time to improve. One of the chefs went to a table next to us to ask for their thoughts and skipped us over.. but they seem receptive to feedback...

Yelp
Every time I come to Union Hill, I am blown away. This was our first time here for brunch and it's easily my new fave brunch spot in the city. The service is unparalleled- everyone checks in on you multiple times. This happens every time I come here, no matter who is working. The iced horchata matcha is literally the best drink I've ever had and will always come back for it. The green revive juice was great for a pick me up as well bc i finished my matcha before I even ordered food We shared the Chantilly dream toast which was truly a DREAM. Such a good crunch with flakiness on the outside and such a rich softness inside. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The breakfast burrito (without steak) was DELISH. The aioli in it is EXCELLENT and brings the flavors all together. The breakfast tacos are also divine!!!!! The potatoes were cooked so well with a nice crunchy outside and soft inside. Spent 4 hours here because we kept picking at the yummy food!!!! Barely had any leftovers bc it was so freakin good. Sunday brunch vibes were immaculate and I am so appreciative at how accommodating the staff was for our dietary needs, pregnant friend, and my need for proper seating while recovering from surgery. Best place to gather with friends!!

Yelp
First time visit for us. Sunday lunch hour. First things first: Yvette, our server - outstanding job. Pleasant, friendly, and just enough attention. I'd ask for her WHEN we go next. We have driven by the location frequently on our way to and from church. Parking is..parking. We were able to find a spot within a block. The food was well prepared and presented with care. Our group had the tacos, the French toast, Belgian waffle and steak burrito: all were exceptional. The restaurant has been around a bit, but it has a more polished atmosphere than other corner spots in Balt. It is family-friendly; Highly recommended! Definitely a return visit is in store.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening to celebrate an anniversary dinner. We sat outside on the balcony, which was mostly nice. The service was greatly disappointing. We had to wait so long for the server to check in on us and if we ever needed to order something else, they were nowhere to be found. We got the lemon shrimp toast and asparagus to start. The lemon shrimp toast was my favorite item I ate all night! The asparagus was incredibly bland and dry. For my meal, I got the burger with fries. The server forgot to bring me my fries, and I eventually was given them about 6 minutes later. Overall, the food was decent, but the service was awful. I will not be going back

Yelp
Service was awful! The hot chicken sandwich was marginal at best. Blue Hill was much, much better
google avatar

Janel T.

Yelp
For the price I paid which was over $100 the taste of the food was not good. Nothing was seasoned. The drinks were the only things that were good. This was to celebrate my friends bday and I paid for both the meals. I was disappointed because Baltimore food is typically good. For her to be visiting and to have this experience was sad. I regret going there. The aesthetic is cute and the waiter was nice.

Yelp
First, the food was AMAZING!! And the owners/staff really made the whole experience. The owners made my family feel like VIP! I recently moved to Canton and had family visiting from out of town. When we arrived, my family and I really loved the atmosphere this place gave. We didn't know it at the time, but when being seated our hostess was one of the owners! We expressed our liking for the place and she was open to showing us around. (GREAT PLACE FOR PARTIES, RECEPTIONS, DINNER REHEARSALS, you name it.. upstairs bar and seating is amazing). My family shared various meals and desserts. Drinks were top tier. Also.... Don't skip Wednesday's here bc it's 50% off the BOTTLE. You will not regret coming, I promise you that. These are hardworking people who truly care, you don't find that often and I will be coming back!!!

Yelp
Great food and service! We had Brussels, hummus, guac, and the wings and all were really good! Our entrees also were really flavorful and came out great! I ordered the golden hour drink "up" and the beverage person came out and thanked me personally for my decision and hopefully incorporating this new way of serving the cocktail. I will be back!

Yelp
The food was very good! A lot of yummy choices. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back.!

Yelp
A buddy of mine lives right next door to this establishment, and he had great things to say so we tired it for dinner. The hot chicken sandwich and the burger were both amazing, but what really convinced me was the customer service. They did not have honey mustard on hand but the owner went back to the kitchen to have some made from scratch for my toddler. Great food, great service, 10/10 overall, would highly recommend.

Yelp
I Love the look of this locations and the staff was very sweet , all the food was good but I found the portions to be small for the price and left still hungry after ordering 4 separate things , Everything was clean and lighting was perfect

Yelp
We ate at Union Hill tonight and we're blown away. Our server Jonathan was super nice. AND..... the food was awesome. We had the Calamari for an appetizer and it was super fresh and delish. My main dish was the Sea Bass and it was the best I've ever had. We really wanted to try a dessert but we're too full, their dessert menu had alot of really delicious options, we have show tickets tonight but may stop back on way home to try a dessert. I rarely leave reviews so that should say something about how good their food is. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try another dish.

Yelp
The food was so DELICIOUS and our server Genesis was so efficient! She gave amazing recommendations, knew the menu incredibly well, and was very responsive. We had the octopus, the tuna tartare, the the broccolini (my personal fav), the kapnos flatbread, and the Dulce dream toast (absolutely phenomenal)! 10/10, highly recommend! Drinks were nicely mixed as well!

Yelp
We started with Sweet and Sour Brussel Sprouts and Crispy Baby Potatoes. The brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and not drenched in oil. The baby potatoes were golden and buttery with a delicious aji pepper cheese sauce. So yummy! My husband ordered the Union Hill Burger and said it was the best burger he has had in a while. I ordered the Chicken Forgione, which was described as a crispy chicken breast. Let me tell you. It was crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. We only ate half our dinner because we wanted to save room for dessert. I had read the description of the Dream Toast and new we needed to try it. It superceded my expectations. Soooo good! Overall, delicious food and drinks. This place will definitely be in our rotation.

Brianna B.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I ate here and it was so good! Highly recommend their food. Calamari, burger, tacos, and the fried cheese appetizer were amazing.

Yelp
Great food and good prices. The cocktails are delicious. Service was quite slow but they are brand new and still working out the flow. It was very busy so I recommend a reservation.

Yelp
Visited Union Hill Kitchen and Craft Bar for an impromptu date night/celebration with my wife. The service, ambiance, attention to detail, immediately caught our attention, as most importantly did the food and beverages. I ordered the Spare Ribs Small Plate and the Flatbread and my wife got the Warm Kale Salad with Salmon and everything was truly outstanding. The spare ribs w the green sauce hit the spot, the flatbread was a 10 out of 10 and the salmon and quality of the veggies on my wife's salad was off the charts. To make matters better, we were able to meet one of the owners, Dreama, who took us on a tour of the restaurant and showed us the soon to be opened top floor which is going to be an absolute hit for us on our next visit and for everyone else in the neighborhood. This is really a unique spot in the area, as it has the looks and vibes of a DC area bar, but the charm, prices, and vibes of Bmore. Do not hesitate to pay this place a visit before everyone else finds out about it!

Yelp
One of the most memorable experiences we have had. Good flavor, quality and service were excellent. You have to try this. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was very good. Server was very kind, attentive and helpful. Food was outstanding. Owner even came by and we had a nice chat. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Went here for a date night & it was fantastic. The vibe/environment was great, the service was friendly, bartender crushed it, food was outstanding. One of the owners swung by our table & he was really friendly and wanted to ensure we had a good experience. Multiple seating options; tables by the bar area where it's more social/upbeat, a dining room sectioned off, & an upstairs area more secluded for private parties. We will be back.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
We had an amazing server Naomi! She was attentive, she answered every question above and beyond! We had the burger and chicken sandwich and the food tasted great! The ambiance is chill and tables are well spaced out.

Janice Byrum- J.

Yelp
The food is amazing! Seriously, so good. I have celiac and the staff was very knowledgeable of what I could and could not have. The bartenders were attentive, knowledgeable and fun, and the drinks were delicious. Highly recommend !

Judy B.

Yelp
Dining at Union Hill was the best experience I have had in years, thanks to their gluten-free options. Peach burrata appetizer and tropical salmon with risotto and mango chutney was the perfect combination. Great staff. Love this place!

Alex T.

Yelp
What a terrific dinner! The food was excellent (highlights to the steak frites and Veggie Stack), drinks were great, service was phenomenal and attentive. Not only that, the head chef came around multiple times, chatting with our table about the food and future additions. We live right around the block and Union Hill is a terrific addition to our neighborhood, I'd recommended to anyone coming to the Canton/Brewer's Hill area.

Spenser B.

Yelp
We have been here a few times and enjoy it every time. The food overall is always consistently yummy - my bf got the meatball sandwich & chowed down, we also loved the Brussels sprouts. The dream toast - dessert menu - is hands down the most yummy thing I have tasted in a long while & keeps us coming back. Service is always fantastic too!!

Arianne C.

Yelp
Allison, Yvette, Amari were amazing! Food was great, happy hour was the best! We will be back. Didn't catch the bar tenders name but his Strawberry serenade was on point!

Kim A.

Yelp
We were in Baltimore for the night and came across Union Hill while looking for restaurants near where we were staying. Made a reservation and when we arrived spoke to the owner who sat us. This was their 3rd week open! All I can say is the food was amazing, the service top notch and the ambiance perfect for any occasion. The bar tender/server Neko was fantastic! Plenty of options for vegetarian, gluten free and anything in between! This place will not disappoint!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Crystal was the most energetic and personable encounter I could have ever experienced. She kept calling my friend and I 'sunshine' every time she looped around during the espresso martini competition. I begged for her name specifically to write this review because of how amazing she was and wanted to rave about her. A must-experience personality that will for sure brighten your day!!

Eric R.

Yelp
Service was great, but the food was lackluster and disappointing. We got the yellow fish Tuna which was good the avocado was a little off. The crispy short rib was pretty good. I got the steak frites and she got the short rib Ragu. Might of been the saltiest steak and some reason salty salad of my life. The short rib ragu totally lacked flavor and salt, noodles were cooked well. For $140 big let down on our first night out in a while.

Jen S.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The depth of flavor and presentation of each dish was incredible. The service is superb. I will definitely come back when I visit Baltimore. Thanks to the staff for making my visit memorable

Michael B.

Yelp
The restaurant was very good! Great vibe, outstanding service; mixed on the food reviews, but apparently the place has only been open one week. Definitely a place to go back to. Haloumi was outstanding!; flatbread excellent; olives excellent; mushroom tacos -- we'll skip that next time; tuna tartar, so-so.

Erica C.

Yelp
Excited to have Union Hill in the neighborhood. Great espresso martini from Nico. We got apps and entrees and everything was great

Shantelle D.

Yelp
Love this new restaurant! Drinks were amazing. Yvette & Nico provide wonderful service!

Caleb B.

Yelp
Amazing service and fantastic cocktails we had Nico and Yvette they were both incredible 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sean D.

Yelp
Celebrated a friend's birthday at the new Union Hill. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. All our food and cocktails were great. Make sure you get the Burrata with house pita appetizer. Will definitely be back.
