Went to Union Hill last night and it was a great experience starting with a warm greeting from co-owner Dreama to excellent drinks delicious food, attentive service, and a top of the house tour with Matt the other owner
Starting with a drink menu – the craft cocktails are innovative, creative and delicious. The wine menu is very good, and the beer selection includes many craft beers – shout out for a great local selection.
Starting with a small plates on the left side of the menu… We really could’ve ordered the entire left side of the menu no joke. But, we started with the grilled halloumi, the shrimp with toast, which had a really great sauce, the short rib bites, which packed a flavor punch, and finally, the citrus avocado soup, which was perfect for a warm evening outside.
For dinner, we had the salmon with spinach on top of polenta, which had great flavor, a kale Caesar topped with salmon which I ordered specifically at 125° because I hate overcooked salmon and they got it perfect. Also a pasta dish with beef that was so savory and tasty, and finally a perfectly cooked Seabass.
Our server -Diane- could not have been better, and the other staff was so helpful anytime they came by and we needed something. We chose to sit on the patio because it was a nice night and it is on the east side of the building so even as the sun goes down It’s very pleasant. There’s no sun in your eyes… They do have a balcony with several table so that’s a nice alternative, and the inside furnishings have been updated from the prior restaurant. We also got a tour of the upstairs by Matt, and it remains a great space for a small private party or event.
Highly recommend you make time to visit Union Hill – it will be one of the best decisions you make for your week!
