Union Hotel Prague 2

4 stars 🌟 hotel with no warm water in the evening. How is that even possible?! We had a small child and went there in December for a few days. In the morning there was warm water for 1 time. When coming back from the Christmas market there was never warm water. The location is good, right next to the tram, but it has poor insulation and the tram will wake you up early. Half a star from me!

I loved my stay here! The room was just right! The mattress was a little too firm but I slept on top of a soft comforter that was available! The location was great! There is a light rail stop just outside the hotel! The trains are cheap and easy to use! Great housekeeping service! The desk was super! And so was the service in the restaurant! I loved the breakfast! I stayed a week and it felt like home! There was a nice little market across the street. And the onsite Thia massage place was good and inexpensive too!

There was no hot water throughout the entire stay. This serious issue was reported multiple times to the reception desk. We were repeatedly assured that hot water would be available within 20 minutes, or at the latest within an hour. These assurances proved to be simply a lie. There was no hot water the next morning, nor the following evening, nor the morning after that. The reception staff provided clearly false information. A manager was supposedly scheduled to appear the next morning, but never did. That morning, we were informed that the manager would also not be coming that day, but only the following one — which again did not happen. At no point was a responsible manager available. The room was dirty. The toilet flush buttons were not functioning properly and the issue was not resolved. There was no remote control for the air conditioner. Television was not available (unless specifically requested from reception). Hotel slippers were not provided. During the entire stay, the room was not cleaned and the towels were not replaced. The breakfast was unacceptable and far below any reasonable standard. The conditions described above, as well as the way complaints were handled, are unacceptable. This hotel is not recommendable, and we will definitely not return.

We wanted to shower when we just entered the room. No hot water - staff said it will be fixed in an hour. Next morning still cold water. Well, we decided to turn on the heating. What would you know - doesn't work!! So we tried to turn on the air conditioner- what would you know? Doesn't work:) So we covered ourselves under a blanket and watch some TV - WHICH ISN'T CINNECTED TO ANYTHING! I guess price-wise it's OK, but the staying in that hotel is a nightmare, counting the days until our stay ends which is luckily enough tomorrow... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T STAY HERE

Had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Reached late at night but was pleasantly welcomed by the reception staff. The ambience inside the hotel is simply wow. The staff n housekeeping are amazing in their job. Big sized and ventilated rooms. Love to be back again

No issues throughout our stay. Tram line right outside with regular transport links to the centre. Not in a very busy area, but nice cafes/breakfast spots open. Beds were a little solid for my liking, but personal preference! Coffee machine was equipped daily, and towels could be restocked as you wished. Very clean and spacious room. Modern bathroom. Did not engage with staff often, but receptionist friendly on arrival and they kindly stored our cases for us after checkout in a secure area. Perfect for those needing a basic but reliable hotel close to the centre of Prague!

There was no heating. The room was freezing cold and the staff member I spoke to was very unhelpful. He clearly had a problem with me which made me uncomfortable to approach him again. Maybe it was the way I looked or where I was from but I hated the thought of having to stay there a tad encountering him. TV didn’t work. Paper thin walls. Bed uncomfortable.

Union Hotel Prague is a convenient and comfortable place to stay. It’s located very close to Vyšehrad fortress, making it perfect for sightseeing, and right in front of a tram stop for easy commute around the city. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great choice for anyone wanting a central location with hassle-free transport access.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during a meeting at the Congress Centre. I was really, really happy with all aspects of this hotel. Here is a summary of my experience: LOCATION: The hotel is approximately 10 minutes walk from the Congress Centre, 5 minutes from the scenic Vyšehrad (Hilltop Fortress), and around 30 minutes walk to the Old Town. It's also a few steps from a major tram stop, which will take you to the Old Town in 10 minutes. ROOMS: I admit, my review may be coloured by the fact that the hotel upgraded me to the double room. They originally said I would have to move midway through my stay, back to a single room. However, I guess because of a cancellation, I was able to stay the full time in the double room. The room was comfortable, quiet, and very clean. There were two beds, which could be pushed together. These were very comfortable. The air conditioning unit worked very well (it was a very hot week in Prague). The bathroom was clean and modern. My only negative comments: 1) The television was quite small (although I almost never used it - there were only 2 English channels), 2) It would be nice to have a shelf in the shower to place shampoo, soap, etc. A quick note to the reviewer below - they have darkening curtains now! SERVICE: The staff was friendly, attentive and very helpful. In addition to the upgrade, they were helpful by: bringing an iron and board to my room immediately when asked, supplying me with extra hangars, and lending me a power converter for free. FOOD/RESTAURANT: Breakfast was included in our stay. It was adequate, but not exceptional. There was lots of choice (eggs, cereal, breads, cheese and meats). Otherwise, the hotel restaurant is very good - I had a quick bite, or beer at the restaurant, and the staff is very pleasant. It's also a nice place to get work done. WIFI: Fast and free - no complaints. Fast enough to watch Netflix. Overall, I had a very good stay at this hotel, and it is very reasonably priced compared to the Holiday Inn at the Congress Centre. I will certainly stay here again, next time I have a meeting in Prague.

Stayed here 2 nights...that's enough.!!.. Pros: outlets INSIDE the bathroom, yes ma'am! !!! Cons: the bed decent but not comfortable. .got up with a backache. Bathroom adequate, but the shower and tub are together so when you shower no curtain no door..hello, splash, splash..on the floor! Window curtains, very thin fabric, come VERY early dawn they let in all the light...PLEASE GET SOME ROOM DARKENING CURTAINS! !!! or a least thicker darker fabric! Also, there was a strange gurgling kind of noise that happened every so often not sure where it was coming from, AC?, waterpipes??? I had to wear earplugs to try and muffle the noise. Will not be returning!!! :(

Good location. Clean. Street side rooms are noisy. Hairdryer is not very satisfactory. Beds comfy. Service is pleasant and polite. Really needs someplace more satisfactory to hang wet towels. The bathtub has a handheld shower but not a curtain or a door. It's a little awkward for this American
