In about 3 years the building has noticeably gotten worse in every aspect and metric, it is unfortunate. There are some great folks who work here but they aren't running things. It was a lot better when Toll Brothers was still managing everything. The guy in charge if maintenance is not knowledgeable or respectful. Like we had a water incident with a sprinkler system today and they are "inspecting" everyone's apartment for damage. The head of maintenance isnt even using a thermal camera. Like you arent seeing any water damage just by seeing if its has penetrated the drywall. Without using a thermal camera you will miss moisture that will manifest itself eventually as mold. Excellent maintenance lead for a luxury building.

Diamond went above and beyond to ensure I had an exceptional experience. she consistently answered all of my questions and kept me well-informed throughout the entire process. She was always available to take my calls, and even accommodated a last-minute request to show me apartments late in the day. Her knowledge, professionalism, and pleasant demeanor made the experience seamless from start to finish. After my move, she followed up to ensure everything went smoothly and to see if I needed any additional support. I truly appreciate the outstanding service she provided. I love the union place team

THIS: Union Place is just terrific in every way, but beyond that, DIAMOND is the shining face of Union Place, working with an attitude, drive, and assistance created in excellence!! Ms. Union Place herself!! From the great tour, to the quick correspondence, to her patience while being thorough, to getting us in the door to our new apartment with complete ease, Diamond was a stand out. She is the very model for how customer service should be. We were greeted with the welcome wagon from the concierge, Keith, as if we were family. How kind of him to brief us on the city with info, tips, & fantastic recommendations. A huge help with all of our delivery packages. The night concierge, Majenta, could not have been anymore helpful and kind as well. I highly encourage all interested tenants to take a tour of Union Place. Diamond will take care of you and your needs professionally, making you feel at home. How awesome to have a fabulous apartment in a SAFE area, with an attentive staff, and a high quality apartment. We are BLESSED!!

I’ve been living at this apartment complex since 2023, and honestly, that alone should tell you something. I even moved away to Ohio for about 10 months, and when I came back, I didn’t think twice—I came right back here. That says a lot. One of the biggest perks is the location. If you work on the Hill, the commute is super easy, and being close to the metro makes getting around the city effortless. Union Market is right nearby, which is a huge plus for food, events, and weekend vibes. On top of that, having Harris Teeter and Trader Joe’s so close is incredibly convenient. Everything you need is basically at your doorstep. The front office staff truly sets this place apart. Taz, Aeriel, Diamond, and Danae are AMAZING. They don’t just do their jobs… they genuinely care! It honestly feels like having four sisters who want the best for you. Anytime I’ve needed something, whether big or small, they handle it immediately and with professionalism and kindness. That level of support makes a huge difference and is something you don’t find everywhere. The building itself is great, but the rooftop during the summer, Top-tier! It’s the perfect place to relax, hang out, and enjoy the city. And when July 4th comes around, this place has one of the best views you could ask for. The fireworks view alone is worth it. Overall, this apartment complex feels like home. Between the location, the community, and the incredible management team, it’s hard to beat. But when you stop by the front office, tell them Rod sent you so I can get that resident referral 😉 But seriously, if you’re considering moving here, do it. You won’t regret it.

Strictly from an external appraisal... I would say that I'm actually rather taken by this apartment complex. It's courtyard is awesome. Awesome in the sense that it's an...oasis. It's a garden. And it's inviting. A place away from home... without actually leaving home.

Just moved here and it was all because of this nice young lady named Diamond. Throughout this process she was professional and persistent. I applaud her for the tremendous Amount of work she did to help me. Diamond went above and beyond and even waited when she didn’t have too she is the best leasing consultant I have met. I love my new apartment and it’s quiet

Moved in about a month ago and so far we are loving it! We toured ~15 properties across the city and our tour with Tazz in the Union Place leasing office was the last on the list. She showed us half a dozen options in the building and had answers to everything available for immediate recall. Very smooth process all around and we are very happy. The whole team here is great.

My experience at this residence has been extremely positive. Diamond Burks was the leasing agent who helped me through my moving process and she is the best! She is very knowledgeable and helps me with anything that I need. I feel very comfortable and safe at Union Place.

I took one star off mainly for lack of parking availability upon moving in because residents do deserve to have a safe garage for our vehicles as soon as we pay our rent/deposit. Otherwise I have used all the amenities and been good since my arrival. Rooftop & Infinity Pool - I enjoyed the views and the water was sanitized and clean each time I entered the pool with guests and by myself. (it's open during the normal pool season in this area like any other place I've lived in.) Rooftop is a great space for hosting and for privacy if you just want to sit outside and read or work during the day. Work from home areas are convenient although I prefer being in my unit for a more intimate work experience. Free WiFi - could be stronger connection wise but I've been just fine with the service working remote 6 of 7 days per week. Gym - everyone doesn't workout, however I do and I absolutely love the quality of our gym! Way more equipment and fitness options available than the average apartment gym. Parking - If you are unfortunately on the waiting list, my biggest advice is try not to park on L St unless you can see your car from the window. (the dmv area has criminals targeting Honda builds right now, hence the 4 stars for no garage access upon move in). ** If you are waiting for parking, there is a monthly pass available at the parking garage on 77 K St about a 5 min walk away. Best option for safety! ** Good Luck!!

New ownership, same issues? Me and my hubby have been living with our adult sons in this building for a little bit now. I've been severely disappointed about the amount of safety/security issues in the building. Every day, my hubby or I see police rushing into the lobby. Someone was killed in the building a few weeks ago... scary Ownership and staff refuse to give us any details. The only thing they seem to care about is smoking indoors. (I always go outside for my tokes..) Also, why don't the elevators ever work? I'm old and frail..what am I supposed to do? My hubby has a bad back and as much as I love for him to carry me, he can't. My sons can't either. I've tried to form a tenant union with my neighbors, but whoever runs the online bulletin board deletes my messages (which is illegal!!). What should we do? I am FED up

Like nearly everybody else leaving a review, I can't emphasize enough how poor the living experience is at Union Place. A former Toll Brothers building, it has since been taken over by Bozzuto Management, a company that's been investigated on several occasions for price fixing. Nothing about this building justifies the hefty price tag of renting. First, and undeniably most important, safety in the building is abysmal. Vehicles consistently tailgate residents into the parking garage; non-residents loiter outside the building and follow closely behind residents to gain access to the lobby; and a steady police presence confirms that safety is not a priority for management. Second, the building is always dirty. Residents with pets often let them urinate and defecate on the floor without cleaning it up, and unidentified substances coat the elevator floors. Third, the amenities are outdated and rarely work. Elevators are constantly down; gym equipment is old and run down; and the trash chutes are often out of order. This leads to refuse rooms piled with smelly garbage that festers for weeks. Additionally, the building's free WiFi crashes constantly, leaving those of us who work from home scrambling to find alternative internet. And last, but certainly not least, many of the tenants in the building violate their lease terms and cause problems for lease-abiding tenants. Many use illicit drugs in the building, smoke cigarettes in their apartments, illegally house more persons than are allowed in their apartments, and otherwise are noncompliant with their lease terms. And, like in every other facet of living here, management does nothing. So, that's what you can expect from this place. An unsafe and unclean dumpster fire of a building coupled with unresponsive management who has no interest in improving the lives of its tenants (or even making living at Union Place bearable).

*if I could give this place less than one star, I would. This is absolutely thee worst place I've ever stayed at on my own. I gave a 60 day's notice to vacate my unit but because of the current global pandemic (COVID-19), I had emailed management asking if they offered current tenants extensions on staying in their unit. I was immediately told by the assistant property manager, Teona that they do offer 30-60 day extensions but I may not get to stay in my unit as someone has applied to my unit (I was in an ADU unit). It would be dependent on if their application was approved. In less than 24 hours, somehow magically the person's application was approved and she had to check with upper management to see if I could be granted an extension. I noticed the inconsistency of information/response. I immediately contacted DHCD and told them the situation. While waiting to hear back, I received an email stating that they could not accommodate my request because I gave my notice and they have NO ADU units available to move in. DHCD contacted the assistant property manager several times and finally got in contact with her. She gave them false information saying she was unaware of my request, she was out of the office when I requested it and that they don't have any units available for me to stay in temporarily. The building at the time was nowhere being at full capacity (probably because several tenants have moved out and/or no one wanted to live there). I sent a photo to show several unoccupied units. The management staff lies so bad! In addition to that, DC council passed legislation stating that tenants cannot be evicted yet UP wasn't trying to help me. I believe the retaliatory treatment stemmed from my previous complaint about UP with the regional director, Jane Ashwood. I listed several issues that I had since living there from false advertisement about utilities being included in the rent, wine on tap, free coffee, broken elevators, doors and amenities, maintenance randomly deactivating my key and garage fob without any explanation, acknowledgment or apology, dirty elevators and hallways, lack of communication from the leasing office, no move in checklist, someone randomly opening my door and hurrying to close after hearing people inside, the apartment not being ready for move in, overcharging residents for water and sewage and no printer in the business center (it's been over a year and they haven't installed one). She wanted me to meet with her and the property manager, Drew but I told her that I spoke with him about some of these issues and there was no concern or accountability and he made the situation worse. I sent her a list of the issues I've had and never heard back from her even after following up with her. There was a time when myself and another tenant complained about the water always being cold and we were given the response that we have to submit a maintenance request for the hot water to be turned up because they keep it a warmer temp so children wouldn't burn themselves if they are playing near the tub or sink. Like what?! I also noticed that after complaining to corporate, anything I submitted on the building portal was never approved unless I asked why it wasn't. I was told that they only approve the "good" ones. I never bashed them on the portal and wanted to post something I was trying to sell so the answer didn't make sense (weird I know but I have email receipts). I could go on and on about this horrible situation but I'd rather not raise my blood pressure. There were a few good things about UP (like having a place to stay) but the many bad things outweighed them. I do hope that they do a revamp in getting different management staff (some leasing consultants were cool and the concierge staff who isn't apart of Toll Brothers were great) because I think some people could have stayed had they received better service despite the poor construction, cheap appliances, broken amenities, etc.

We lived at Union Place for 18 months and loved the experience. The lobby and common spaces are beautiful and feel like an upscale hotel. The cleaning staff does an exceptional job at keeping the place look like new. The concierge staff is welcoming and should be given a special kudos for the amount of packages they deal with on a daily basis. The leasing staff is responsive, friendly, and helpful. Maintenance went above and beyond with any issue big or small and we never had to wait more than a day for something to be handled. The work from home spaces are plentiful and very convenient. Our apartment and the pool had some of the best views of the capital in my opinion. This place is top notch and we would highly recommend to future residents.

I met with a guy named Clyde. He was my maintenance technician assisting me with my dryer. He was extremely helpful, and courteous. Not only did he fix the issue with my dryer, he asked me how my day was going, and was extremely professional. Clyde definitely deserves his flowers & a promotion!

Unsafe and incompetent management. I read the awful reviews before I moved in and figured it couldn't actually be that bad so I moved in anyways. Please don't make my mistake. The initial leasing process is long, horrible, and confusing. I had already moved in, then someone from the leasing office decided she actually wasn't going to accept my application? It took a month of talking to 5 different people to get it figured out so I could stay. The WORST PART IS THEIR LACK OF SAFETY. Over the past couple of months, several tenants have witnessed one specific tenant (with photo evidence) stealing packages, stealing a DOG, roaming the floors and ENTERING any apartments she finds unlocked, pouring tea on the front desk attendant, stalking tenants through the garage presumably to steal something else and she has proceeded to live here for months. Management rarely answers the phone and are always "in meetings" aka laughing behind their closed office door when you try to have someone address the issue. My understanding is that Ashana who has been responding to reviews is in charge, but she is a dismissive eye roller who offers insincere vaguities to your concerns (when she deigns your respond). The police have been called numerous times to no avail (not necessarily union places fault), but it was only within the last week that they decided to bring in security who so far is more often gone than there. When finally forced into communicating with the building, they offered us "safety tips" that mostly included telling us to not let unauthorized people into the building as though the issue wasn't already within. This is in addition to the constant issues that before now I assumed were common to most buildings (trash chutes broken and bugs festering where piles were stacked, pool they belatedly got a license for, 2/5 elevators not operating and still electing to shut down two of the three remaining to clean during peak leaving for work hours), but now I'm not so sure any other building could at least handle these understandable snafus better. Fortunately I'm leaving when my lease is up but those who resigned are facing exorbitant price hikes while management laughs in their face and are blatantly rude about how easily they could be replaced. I'm looking forward to leaving and you should think twice before signing.

This is hands down the worst building I have occupied. I have moved 17 times in my 11 1/2 years in DC - due to jobs, break-ups, school, etc, so I have dealt with houses, apartments, basements, dorms, and other living situations. I have lived in two frat houses and I dislike this place more. We filed a Better Business Bureau complaint when we moved in... our lease was not correct, they insisted we only be issued 2 mail keys when there are three occupants and the lease specified 3 keys would be distributed. We received our lease fewer than 48 hours before we were set to move. The elevators have broken so many times I cannot count. There were times where everyone in the building was using 2 elevators on one side. I watched residents break the elevator up/down glass arrows and reported it immediately - it was fixed maybe 3 months later. Residents have been asking for blind spot mirrors in the tight corners of the garage since August and they keep getting promised "at the end of the week." The package system has been down at least 5 times. I didn't receive notifications for my packages - only my roommmates' - for 3 months. There was a glitch in the system where I received 67 emails about a package I already picked up (this is prior to me not receiving alerts). Emailed and went in person multiple times and they couldn't fix it. Luggage carts are often broken, gym equipment often broken, grills often broken, the automatic doors in the front become dysfunctional in medium - high winds. The fobs would only work if you touched them just right the first 2-3 months we lived here. I was on a trip out of town for 10 days and left my key at the desk for a dog walker. The desk lost my key and took an hour and a half to locate someone to make me another key. On their side, they did finally give us a mail key. Amenities get fixed but usually break shortly after. Another tenant and myself complained and he brought up rent abatement, and since then they have more often communicated what they are doing in terms of repairs, as opposed to leaving us in the dark the first few months. Their "systems have been down" for about two weeks. It was explained as systems, phones, and internet. The second and third were reactivated on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, but they still say systems are down, without defining what this entails. I really do not recommend this building.

I keep trying with Union Place and it keeps getting worse. I've updated my post with a video showing the condition of the rooftop trashcans today. They are completely flooded even though they are sheltered from the rain and built into the wall. These trashcans are adjacent to the rooftop grills- one has been out of order for weeks and the other is down to one working burner. This is typical Union Place. Items are broken and never fixed. New amenities have already fallen into disrepair. There has not been a single day in my months of living here that all amenities and essential functions of the building (elevator, package hubs, etc.) have worked at the same time. This is my fourth residence in DC and I know this is not normal. I have never had such recurring, systemic problems at a building. Avoid at all costs!

This review is for Union Place & the Toll Brothers. TLDR: Don't live here, not safe. I moved into this building at the end of July 2021. The leasing office what quite difficult to contact and short staffed, like most places these days. Mid-fall Toll Brothers contracted out the concierge staff and now you never know the front desk staff and who will be working. More recently my hallway had suspicious power outages that were not caused by Pepco, followed by calls from "maintenance" requesting to enter your room. Even if you said no, they still entered saying they needed to reset your breakers. A week before Christmas my neighbor was completely robbed and I returned home to my apartment being unlocked multiple times. I have contacted the leasing office and the Toll Brothers through multiple avenues with no response and no commitment to resolve the security issue. The stress is not worth living here and I don't recommend it.

This place was awful and dangerous. This apartment is severely mismanaged and there is an extreme lack of communication and action. The three worst incidences out of countless incidences: 1. Drug users passing out in hallways: Towards the last several months of our lease they rented to certain individuals who made living in this building miserable (we think to just fill units). The hallways always stunk of weed and very strong cigarette smoke that would seep into our unit. It got so bad that we had to put a towel under our front door and an air purifier right next to it. Our across the hall neighbor was a constant violator of the no smoking policy and would blast music all day. Despite the warnings management claimed to have sent him and all the complaints from residents on the floor, management said they couldn't do anything more than warn him. The week we were finally moving out, that neighbor collapsed right outside our door from a drug overdose (confirmed by paramedics). At least I got to test my old EMT skills to help keep him alive before the paramedics got there. 2. Shooting across the street (management never sent out a PA emergency warning, notice or even acknowledged that there was an active shooting right outside the front of the apartment. They didn't even close off the entrance. And this was early on when anyone could get into the building because the side door didn't properly close and people who accidentally unhinge the front doors leaving them permanently open until fixed. 3. Our bike was stolen from the "secure" bike room. Despite notifying the front desk and management and the fact that our bike was right in front of a security camera in the room, the building never did anything to help. Don't give weight to the reviews who left 5 star reviews for a tour, this place is very much a superficial facade where most amenities are for looking, not touching since they are always broken or never functional to begin with. We moved in right when they opened and lived there for 15 months. Things were broken and in disrepair almost immediately and were never fixed (like the elevators) or took forever to fix (entrance doors, glass panels, gym equipment, amenity equipment, grills, coffee machine, lockers, internet, etc.). There is also a significant and growing homeless population in the area if this is something that concerns you. Most keep to themselves but we did notice an uptick in harassment and violence the last couple of months before we left. This place had so much potential, but is just another overpriced apartment with terrible management. So glad they refused to provide a discount on rent if we renewed since we found a much safer, cleaner, cheaper, better managed apartment in another part of the city.

I have lived at UP for nearly a year, and have really enjoyed the experience. The building is in a great location, the staff have all been helpful and friendly, and the amenities are great. My only complaint would be some inconsistencies with package notifications, which can be expected in a building this large, with so many packages coming in day in and day out. Would definitely recommend and will likely re-up my lease.

I've been a resident at Union Place for several months. I really wish I loved this place - it would make the high price tag easier to swallow. Unfortunately, there have just been too many unresolved issues for me to look past. 1) The garbage chutes have electronic doors that often don't open. I would say at least twice a week they don't open. That means that residents put their garbage bags on the floors of the refuse rooms. Sometimes the stacks of garbage pile up high, resembling a dump. Over the weekend, the garbage might accumulate for a couple days, but if it's a weekday the garbage is usually cleared the next day (I feel awful for the cleaning team). 2) Sometimes the garbage chutes are completely full. Imagine this: opening the door to the garnage chute from an upper floor and seeing a column of garbage filling up the chute. 3) The TVs in the gym don't work. This is a big deal to me and something I specifically asked about when touring the building. I was told that because it was a new building the cable wasn't yet activated, but that it would be. Well ... it's been more than six months and the best they could do is add some sort of transmitter that provides very basic cable. Except it's pixelated to the point it's impossible to watch and the sound doesn't work on many of the machines. I need to watch national news in the morning for work and I'd hoped to be able to use that time to work out. Now I can't, which is unacceptable for the price we're paying. The basic amenities should work. 4) The elevators. Oh my gosh the elevators. So often they aren't working or they are reserved for moving. I get that people need to move in and out, but there needs to be more thought to how the elevators are booked. For example, if one of two elevators for the L Street entrance is broken, don't block the second one for moving. Because then the hundred or so residents who use that entrance don't have an elevator. Also the lights are shattered in some of the elevators and were left that way for months. 5) The roof. It has a gorgeous view. Indeed, it's one of the reasons I was initially sold on this building. But it isn't kept in good repair, which is really unfortunate. I love the location of the building, and the units are pretty. I'll likely be moving when my lease is up, though. Moving is never fun and I wish these issues could be resolved (quickly) so I could justify staying.

I am a current resident of Union Place Apartments. I felt compelled to write this review as a way to help warn others if they are considering a move to Union Place under their current lack of respect for residents. I also hope this review helps enact change in how management handles situations with their residents. My wife and I moved to Union Place at the end of January 2022. On the surface, everything looked amazing. We were shown the rooftop, pool, gym, common spaces, and bike room, along with other amenities during our tour that we were very excited about. There have been several issues already (that have been previously mentioned by other reviews) - one of which is the garage access being a mess, and so many people parking illegally that people (like us) who want to pay for access currently can't because they don't have a good handle on parking inventory. However, I mainly wanted to focus this review on a recent issue of my personal property (Electric Scooter) being stolen from Union Place, and management's refusal to do anything to rectify the situation other than emailing me back and telling me they aren't going to reimburse/help me with my stolen property. The most alarming thing about this issue is that it seems to be a reoccurring problem. I saw another review from someone whose bike was recently stolen from the same "locked" storage room. Stolen Property Issue: One of the things we liked about this building when we moved was their "secure"/"Locked" indoor bike room. I HAD an electric scooter that I used every day to commute to and from work. I knew the building requires a fob for entry, and that same locked fob entry system was also required to enter the bike room. I knew I should still lock my scooter up while in the room anyway. I had a combination lock system that secured my scooter to a metal pole in the room that was bolted to the floor. One day I went down to get my scooter to go to work, and the only thing that was there was my broken lock system laying on the floor. Someone that had access to our building with the fob (resident or none) entered the bike room with the intent to steal. They had to have some kind of hammer or weapon to smash my locking system in the way they did to break it. It also must have taken a few minutes to do this, which shows you how emboldened these thieves are in this building. I reached out immediately to management to report the theft, and also to request them to make this right, as it was properly stolen from a community space they offer their residents as an amenity. I heard back from Ashana who is the Property Manager at Union Place, and her response was basically this wasn't their issue and I should reach out to my renter's insurance for resolution - even though this didn't happen in my apartment, but rather in their "secure" community bike room that they offer as an amenity (part of our high rent). This falls under your responsibility Union Place, and this should be something you resolve for your resident since you aren't able to offer a secure building for your residents. My wife and I don't feel overly safe in a building that allows this kind of theft to exist, especially without any reconciliation for the grieved resident. That is why we are giving Union Place this public review, and hope we can receive appropriate reconciliation for our stolen property.

This building is nice. It practically sells itself from an amenities standpoint. However, at the price point, in NOMA, they aren't just trying to rent apartments but also luxury service and living experience. This place misses the mark completely. First, we called the corporate office listed on the website to setup an appointment. They informed us the local leasing office would give us a call possibly the same day. No call for 3 days Second, we figured no big deal and decided to drop in. Once we arrived the concierge was eating fried chicken and rice at the front desk. He didnt even bother to close it up while we were talking. Just left it open and on the desk. He asked us to fill out the same form we filled out over the phone because he doesnt know what happened. Fine. Form #2. One of the leasing agents (a woman) comes over and says we can make an appointment for you but were all booked today. No worries. Appointment made. For reference she looked annoyed we came in at 5:15 PM and her attitude was showing. Third, we show up for this appointment and are asked to fill out the form a 3rd time. I explain we filled this out twice already but alas Form #3. Different concierge this day and she was fantastic. Helpful and prompt. Once on the tour (with the leasing agent and his pet) we saw the building and honestly its amenities are lovely. But its apartments are sub par compared to the building amenities. The washers and dryers are not front loading but your traditional stackables. One of the units floors were not level (in a brand new building really?).The appliances were stainless steel but again on the lower end of quality. There was something causing flies in one of the units bathroom toilets (guess no one checked it before the showing) Lastly, we received no debrief after the tour but a card from the agent stating he'd email us the floor plans we looked at that day. No follow up was ever done. Steer clear.

Units aren't ready when they say they'll be ready. They'll put you in temporary apartments until the unit you signed is ready. Which means you can't unpack because they leave you in the dark about when the units will be ready. And the reason they're not ready is because they didn't pass DC inspection. There doesn't seem to be any building wide cleaning services on weekends. Elevators are dirty, hallways dirty. Concierge is never at the front desk, even at night. Loading dock was double booked when I moved in, making me have to pay my movers extra for things taking too long. It's a nice building and the common spaces are truly beautiful, but the services are just not where they should be for a "luxury" building.

The reviews are true! This building is pretty bad. Be prepared to deal with noisy neighbors, systems being down etc. If you complain, management won't help you. The only attribute is the neighborhood. Not much more to say about this place but i'm sure there are better buildings in the area which provide better services and peace of mind. Overall, I don't recommend this building and I must say this is the worst place I've lived in DC. Once you move in you don't matter! Or maybe that's only regarding certain individuals.

Nice apartments with minimal luxury finishes. However, this rating was prompted by sub-par customer service. I toured an apartment and basically had to find out all the information by asking. The leasing agent/sales woman had very poor customer service skills; not being knowledgeable of the amenities, pricing, and availability. The lack of knowledge can be forgiven but the bland poor attitude lead us to another apartment across the street. The leasing manager needs to do a 101 on customer service, starting with a welcoming smile.

I could talk about how beautiful Union Place is, and how great all of the amenities are (and they are - go see them for yourself!). As someone who has lived in new communities in DC in the past, what has really made Union Place stand apart is the management team, specifically Teona. Compared to my experiences with other management companies and 4 previous buildings in DC, Teona has left a strong positive impression of my first Toll Brothers community. She has gone above and beyond to address every question I had, always faster than expected, and is by far the most responsible, accessible, and helpful management staff I've interacted with in the city. She's made it very evident that we're going to have a great experience living here! :)

Fell in love with the building upon walking in. The building had all new features and the modern apartment look at reasonable pricing with these amenities are hard to find. The gym alone is top notch (though I'm hoping they'll eventually install a few stair masters) but... how many apartment gyms do you know have a rock climbing wall? It honestly feels like a luxury hotel with apartments. Derek has been extremely helpful. Always responsive and he will help you find the apartment that is suitable for your needs... if you want it, they have it. The website is always being updated so I recommend you go on and take a look for yourself. I'm excited to live here!

Fine place to live and staff are very accommodating, but company misrepresented leasing terms to us and attempted to hit us up for more money after we already negotiated final payment for the end of our lease. Watch your wallet.

Very dangerous apartment at the moment. While I love the decor, and the majority of my neighbors, there is one neighbor that is a danger and the apartment has done nothing about it. I recently witnessed this individual walking completely naked down the hallway attempting to break into apartments. I yelled at them, called 911, and notified the leasing office. This person has since stolen 2 dogs, stolen wallets, packages from the building and assaulted a concierge person by throwing hot tea in her face after she asked that the person no longer steal packages. The icing on the cake was that the tenant was watching the children through a hole in a gate at the playground of the daycare that is located inside union place. There is a video of this and the building did nothing. It also took the leasing office MONTHS to send an email out to let people know that there is a known thief wondering the halls unclothed and who is dangerous.

Union Place started out as a beautiful building that, in less than a year, has already fallen into disrepair. I am a current resident who has lived here for more than two months and there has yet to be a day when all amenities are working at the same time. Currently, the rooftop grills are broken for what must be the fifth time since I moved in, light fixtures throughout the property burn out and are never fixed, brand new rooftop furniture is singed with cigarette burns, elevator outages are a part of daily life, and the list goes on. The staff do their best -- Omar is particularly kind and helpful -- but senior leadership does not seem to genuinely care about residents' concerns and Toll Brothers does not equip on-site management with the tools to be successful. I have lived in Greystar and Bozzuto properties and I cannot imagine they would ever have the recurring, systemic problems we have here. Look elsewhere for your next place -- I sure wish I had.

Broken amenities, unkept common areas, lack of communication from property management, absent amenities altogether like a business center (i cannot believe a new building with so many other amenities does not have a simple printer for resident use?), loud train noises outside - these are just a few of the things you can expect to find at Union Place. This is not a happy place to come home to and I will be looking at all other options when my lease is up for renewal.

One year later and I felt compelled to revise my review of Union Place. Suffice it to say that this building had major issues at the start of my lease, but those issues have all been addressed. It took time for management to get everything up and running smoothly, but after several months of growing pains I'm pleased to report that Union Place is running well -- and when Union Place is running well it is a great place to call home.

For better or worse, I am PAINFULLY picky. Union Place exceeds my wildest wishes. The finishes are beautiful, the workmanship is high quality (I can't remember the last time I was able to say that!), the amenities are amazing and the staff are superb. Highest praise to Derek and Daniela in the leasing office who made a sight-unseen long-distance move as smooth as silk. We're thrilled to be here!
