25 Places Reborn Through Graffiti and Street Art

"Little history exists about this once-bustling mill.  It’s believed the site was constructed during the early 1900s as a textile mill that used wool and paper, drawing its source of power from the Hockanum River. Unfortunately, while in operation, it began to pollute the nearby Union Pond and was forced to close. It was eventually purchased by the Boticello Corporation to be used as a recycling center. However, this plan did not last long and the facility once again closed. The mill is now home to Manchester youth, who utilize the site as a graffiti museum and a makeshift skatepark. There are rumors that the mill is owned by the CL&P Corporation and is for sale, however, the mill has remained abandoned for quite some time." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

I've been coming here for years by myself and with my kids. Love seeing the geese (hate stepping in the poop). The fishing pier is always a calming activity. Watching the water on a sunny day is so relaxing. Recommend it for those that want a nice place to unwind. Only downside is parking if you are driving there.

The dam os being worked on so the water looks like the apocalypse. Very sad looking. Hope to come back once the dam is fixed. This used to be a beautiful spot to sit on the dock.

Nice parks, I fish here often, I've caught some nice bassa and blue gills. Beware of turtles, maybe carp and catfish. I wish there was more fish around There is always trash on the shoreline which I hate the most.

This is a beautiful park!! Kinda small, but really peacefully, very good maintenance, nice gym bars, and a decent parking lot. What a gem I just found! Good for walking and relaxing nearby.

Love this place. We usually come here in the evening. Very calm and serene. Beautiful pond and places to sit and enjoy the view. The wooden deck where you can stand and do fishing or photography. People catch fish but do not eat the catch (as per the message on board). Due to the small parking space, only a limited number of cars can be parked. But across the street, there is a big parking lot, so accessibility is not an issue. Dominos pizza is not too far from here..in case you want to bring your pizza. :-)

Union Pond Trail reminds me of the long walks along the St-Lawrence river. The trees and the water really brings you out of your daily routine. Lucky to have such a place and be able to forget about all the malls, highways, and traffic.

Union Pond has a very nice hiking trail around it that goes through Northwest Park. There is also an exercise trail inside the park and a platform with a beautiful view of the pond. In the winter there is an ice skating rink, if the weather stays below freezing.
