Unique Hotel Innere Enge Bern

This is a truly great and charming hotel! I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation. It has a unique personality that sets it apart from mainstream hotels — warm, welcoming, and full of character. I’ve seen some comments suggesting the hotel needs updating, but I couldn’t disagree more. The building feels thoughtfully preserved, showcasing its history in a way that adds to the overall experience. Everything was in perfect working order during my stay, and the presentation throughout the property was tasteful and inviting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable place to stay. Staff was friendly, free parking and extremely quick access to old town on the bus.

Absolutely lovely hotel, warm and friendly staff, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the dining room, and the highlight was Marians Jazz Club. Do not miss a chance to go to Marians!

The staff were so friendly and decoration was cute. The breakfast was awful and doesn’t worth it at all. The room is full of insects and spiders. It’s more like 3 star hotel than 4 star

not only UNIQUE by name but TRULLY! and I make myself clear... What makes it unique was firstly the personnel (all of the them and specially Stefanie!) eager to help in everything(they even responded immediately for a small problem with coffe machine) , for the parking place , for information needed etc. Secondly the decoration, the atmosphere and the background music (which was very well chosen and could be heard all over the hotel) makes it so relaxing and warm-cosy Another thing is the location which is so quiet, with the garden around and only 15 min walking from city center! In the spacy room there were many facilities ,coffe machine, closet, welcome tray with apples and water! , many towels., VERY comfortable mattress and pillows.. , tasty furniture and table, TV, fridge, nice view with big windows and other... the entrance,the floors and the restaurant area was very well decorated mainly with objects related to jazz history and music.. making the stay very pleasant... the bus stop is opposite the hotel for those interested in. the food at the restaurant was very good Everywhere was extremely clean! Very convenient hotel located just outside of the main area of the city of Bern free parking. Easy access to the main downtown area via a public bus located just outside in front of the hotel.

Very well presented hotel and the junior suite (room 25) is spacious. Beds are comfortable, and the amenities are great. Not far from the main town of Bern, and it's easy to get to on a local bus. Recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Sunday brunch at the hotel, and it was truly exceptional. The staff was incredibly attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that felt both unique and authentic. The venue itself is stunning, with a beautiful terrace that adds to the charm. As for the food, it was not only delicious but offered a great variety that exceeded my expectations, especially considering the reasonable price. A standout was Manager Lena, whose warm smile and attentive service enhanced the experience. She also shared fascinating insights about the hotel's history and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the surrounding area. Overall, it was a fantastic visit, and I can't wait to return. This place is an absolute must-visit!

Nice romantic hotel with a great jazz club downstairs. A perfect weekend get away. Bistro style restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were spacious with a slightly retro feel. Beds were firm and comfortable and everything was clean and fresh. The jazz tents with students performing alongside the ongoing professional jazz performers in the club make it a destination rather than just an accomodation.
