The 6 Best Hotels in Stockholm (Updated 2025)

"I found it cozy and full of early 1900s character, with a small library that's perfect for relaxing with a book. The breakfast buffet is decent and the Wi‑Fi is super fast. While the rooms could use more natural light, they come with a desk, great water pressure, and comfy beds. Located in quiet, more locals-only Vasastan, there's plenty of green space, a small park nearby, and lots of places to eat and drink, making it a solid, affordable stay." - Matthew Kepnes

Great location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. But the room was cold in November, the heating was very weak; the shower water was either freezing cold or would become warm only after letting it run for 10–15 minutes. The room wasn’t cleaned on the last day of our stay, and that day we didn’t receive clean towels. The WiFi signal was poor from time to time

Stayed here for 2 nights as solo traveller. Pros: The room is clean and spacious for solo traveller. I really like the windows as it gives more sunlight to the room. Breakfast was nice, provided basic items. The location of the hotel is near to central station, so it’s very convenient to move around in the city. Cons: The bathroom is a tiny one and doesn’t have separated wet and dry areas. Sometimes the toilet flush itself, it’s a bit scary.

We stayed in a twin room. It was quite small. It had a window, albeit a small one. Hot water took five minutes to arrive. We didn't understand how the room's heating system worked. There was no air conditioning, and I don't think the central heating system was working, so we had to sleep in a cold room. I thought the breakfast was good. Even though we checked in late, the staff emailed the door access codes, and we got in without any problems in a thoughtful way. The location is quite central. Stockholm is generally an expensive city, so if you don't want to stay in rooms with terrible amenities but don't have a lot of money on your budget, I think it's a good place.

Terrible hotel... Stayed in a strange room in rooftop. It was freezing cold.. couldn't sleep first night. I asked for a room change next morning, they refused. Receptionist (Shady) said she will send someone to check the room. I arrived back in the evening, everything was same. I asked help from receptionist, she gave me a small heater. I had to stay again in this terrible room the second night. The same lady in reception didn't care at all. Even if you stay in this hotel, don't accept the room 511. It is not a room.

I’m an older woman, and I rarely ever write reviews, but what happened during my visit on [date] has stayed with me and truly deserves to be addressed. I came in that day with my mother, hoping for a pleasant and respectful interaction like anyone would expect. Unfortunately, the receptionist’s behaviour was completely unprofessional. From the moment we arrived, her tone was condescending, and she made several remarks that were hurtful and unnecessary. Instead of offering help or even a simple smile, she seemed irritated by our presence and made comments that left both of us embarrassed. I was shocked, especially because as someone who has lived a long life, I’ve always believed in treating everyone — customers and workers alike — with courtesy and kindness. What happened that day felt personal and disrespectful. No one, especially an elderly woman, should ever be made to feel small or unwelcome in a public place. I truly hope management takes this matter seriously and provides proper training to their staff. Respect and empathy should be at the heart of any business that deals with the public. I’m sharing this experience not out of anger, but in the hope that no one else has to go through what we did. I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, but I believe in honesty and accountability. Please, take the time to ensure your team treats every person — no matter who they are — with the basic dignity and kindness everyone deserves. Very bad irani worker she’s so rude to any one

I enjoyed staying here. Staff were friendly, was right near the action and transport links were nothing but a short walk away. Breakfast was nice and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Stockholm.||I will be booking a room here again the next time I am in Stockholm - which will be in a few months from now.

Nice hotel close to the main shopping area of Helsinki approx. 20 min walk to old town. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok but busy. Check in was easy and efficient

The services are not commensurate with the high price. "Deluxe suite"? In reality, more than half the space has a ceiling under 1.70m. The apartment is poorly insulated with cold drafts and inadequate electric heating. You have to ask for extra blankets. No sofa. The shower water isn't really hot... very high price for mediocre quality.
