The 6 Best Hotels in Stockholm (Updated 2025)

"I found it cozy and full of early 1900s character, with a small library that's perfect for relaxing with a book. The breakfast buffet is decent and the Wi‑Fi is super fast. While the rooms could use more natural light, they come with a desk, great water pressure, and comfy beds. Located in quiet, more locals-only Vasastan, there's plenty of green space, a small park nearby, and lots of places to eat and drink, making it a solid, affordable stay." - Matthew Kepnes

This hotel was well located. Close to transit and major shopping areas and attractions. There are extensive renovations underway so the experience will likely continue to change. There appeared to be a large range of room styles from very small ‘pod ‘ style rooms. To much larger suites. We had a larger suite with a full kitchen which was great to spread out and give us a separate bedroom from our son for more privacy all around. The renovation to our room appeared recent as not everything was fully functioning and there was some construction plaster on the counters. While the kitchen was fully equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher fridge and freezer there were very limited dishes. No pots and pans or cooking utensils . Not really usable. We look forward to European style breakfasts in hotels. This one was decent. But the quality of the hot dishes eggs, ‘potato cakes’ was low. Parking was an extra cost (expected) and while the and spaces were tight it was very convenient in the courtyard. Last of all was stairs!! Sooooo many stairs. We expect that in European older hotels. But it was a lot after a long day of walking and sightseeing. And for carrying luggage up and down. Staff were friendly. Overall it was a good location and ‘unique’ experience!

Excellent value for money a hair outside the most central part of Stockholm. Like one bus stop from the Central Station stop, even closer to shopping streets. Friendly staff really making us comfortable, clean room with good beds. A simple bathroom, but all you need. Kettle, tea/coffee in the room. We had a view into the courtyard and thus no view to speak of, but silent. I would think the neighbourhood anyhow is silent, a little park close by. Breakfast also surprisingly good value for money; bacon/eggs/pancakes/yoghurt bar etc.

Good location, basic breakfast. We had the suite for 3 people and it was good, spacious and fancy. However it was in the 5th floor and the elevator only went till third floor.

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, but Rooms were little conjusted, no place to keep suitcases. Ladies at reception were nice and friendly. Location is excellent.

Terrible customer service with poor communication. As others have said, the staff is unhelpful and when things go wrong just push you away. Unfortunately, my flight to Sweden was delayed which meant I'd arrive one day later. My booking was non-refundable but I quickly emailed the hotel asking if I could also delay my booking one day (I checked, and there were still rooms). I was promptly told to tell my booking agency (Agoda) to contact them instead. Why? I don't know. Agoda tried several times to request a change, but they waited to respond until *after* the original booking day had passed and then finally responded with "we are strictly enforcing our cancellation policy". I understand that rules are rules, but the poor communication, sending me back and forth and not giving a clear answer, as well as the inflexible nature of the hotel means I would not recommend. I've never known a hotel with availability not to agree to change a booking after unforseen circumstances.

I walked into the hotel at 11pm at night, the night before national day, thinking I had a booking. Unfortunately my travel agency messed up but Fahim, from the desk, was insanely kind in trying to get me a room in the hotel and their other location even when they were fully booked, letting me stay until I could find a new place, offering help and ideas. I would recommend them, not because they fulfilled their service offer (which I'm sure they do), but because they went the extra mile even if I wasn't a formal customer. I'll be 100% staying here when I go back to Stockholm.

Great customer service! I lost an item and contacted the front desk for them to help me, they were super responsive and attentive to help me find it. The hotel is also great for hosting big groups (I traveled with ~20 people and had a great experience).

The hotel was close to the city center. The room was spacious, bright, and had a view of the street. Tap water is drinkable in Sweden, but there was no bottled water in the room. It was also a bit cold. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and the staff was very kind. Despite arriving an hour early, they helped us with check-in
