While on vacation in Adelaide, we wanted to take some souvenirs and gifts with us to Algeria. And we made the best choice by coming here. We were very well received and advised. Tim was Very attentive to our needs and offered us exactly what we wanted. It's also more than just a jewelry purchase; it's a whole experience, as you can take a peek into a kind of small mine under the store to see how opal mining is actually done. I highly recommend it!

I was traveling in Australia in 2024, Adelaide was one of our first stops. I was very interested in opals since they are particularly Australian. Adrian at Unique Opal Mine was such a great teacher, and considerate helper in my mission to find a unique opal. He showed me how opals were cut and polished in their little museum, sent me to see one of the world‘s greatest opals at the Adelaide museum, and helped me make a choice about what I would take home. I bought two loose stones and had them set by a jeweler here at home. They are both unique pieces and get lots of compliments. If you’re looking for an unusual opal you can’t go wrong with unique Opal mine.

Must visit for tourists and locals alike. Friendly, informative, good value, wholesome experience. Allow time (about 30 minutes or an hour) to get the full experience, not a place to rush. Unique Opal Mine did such an amazing job with my ring! The opal was originally my Granny's before she passed away and I've always wanted it made into a ring I could wear. So happy with the result!! Huge thanks to Elijah who was such a big help!

Going here was a dream experience. There is a good exhibit to learn about opals and the shop is very well organized and easy to browse. Customer service was above and beyond. Every little question I had was answered and I felt very taken care of. Elijah patiently helped me go through everything and suggested many good ideas. Steve created custom creations for me and did an amazing job, very quickly. Everyone who worked in the store was fun to talk to and they made my opal dreams come true!

Fabulous handmade opals of the highest quality! My husband has 250+ cufflinks and these are definitely in his top 3 now (that is high praise as I’ve had several made for him bespoke). Also a beautiful, delicate silver bracelet for our daughter with small flowers and beautiful stones. The owner/artisan maker is a lovely guy who made us welcome and no pressure purchasing etc. underground mock up of an opal mine under the shop which is where he makes all the products. Great find.

My partner purchased this beautiful white opal ring for me in December. I recently noticed that one zirconia on the side was missing. They fixed it and polished the ring for free on the day I brought it back to the shop. Amazing service. My partner and I are so happy. Thank you so much.
