Unique Village Resort

We recently stayed at Unique Village and had a mixed experience. The hotel is a charming, small property located right on the beach, offering a serene and picturesque setting. It’s a very quiet place, except for the noise from the air conditioning unit in the room, which could be bothersome. Our room was clean but quite outdated, though it had all the essentials we needed for our stay. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the room we booked through their website wasn’t available, and we were downgraded to a different room, which was disappointing. During our two-night stay, we encountered several issues. On the second day, there was no warm water, which made things quite uncomfortable. More concerning, however, was that on the morning of our departure, we discovered that all our cash had been stolen from both my wife’s and my wallets, along with some earphones and cards. When we woke up, we found the patio door slightly open, even though we had double-checked and locked it before going to bed. This led us to believe someone entered the room while we were asleep. Additionally, the hotel’s restaurant was very basic. The food wasn’t special and was quite expensive, which added to our overall dissatisfaction. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, they seemed overwhelmed when we reported the theft, which made the situation feel even more unsettling. Given the room downgrading, lack of warm water, the theft, the underwhelming restaurant experience, and the overwhelmed staff response, we cannot confidently recommend staying at this hotel despite its lovely location. Our experience left us feeling uneasy and disappointed.

We visited Unique Village the first part of March, 2024, primarily for lunch. The food was excellent. Try their Unique hamburger. It was 'to die for'! Afterward we spent an hour walking on Unique beach. All kinds of Atlantic debris had washed up - bouys, coconuts, floats, lines, and so forth. All-in-all, a very pleasant visit.

The room was very clean, the beach view and the sounds was the best. The maid was very pleasant and helpful. The outdoor beauty of the property is a 10. It was too cold for the pool, will try UT on our next visit.

We checked-in same day. Room was lovely. Small touches that I no longer take for granted in the Bahamas made it enjoyable. (Nice beach towels, soap, coffee maker, tv ect). Staff was friendly and the beach is gorgeous. Had to walk a ways to find a safe spot to swim at low tide...there are many rocks, but having the beach to myself was worth it. Overall great stay. Note that as we were only here 1 night, I can't comment on the food.

Our family of 3 needed a one night stay before we could check into our rental house and Unique was the perfect choice for us. The online booking process was easy. After several airline delays, we didn’t get to Unique until almost midnight. While the front desk was obviously closed, they left a sign with a phone number for late check ins. We were in our room less than 10 minutes later. We were exhausted the next morning, but when we opened the curtains we were greeted with the most beautiful view of the pool and ocean and all of our travel frustrations melted away. The restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast, so the front desk gave us some recommendations in town which were wonderful. Afterwards, we came back to spend the day at the pool and beach as well as have lunch before checking into our rental house. Every employee we came into contact with was very helpful and kind.

This was my first time staying at the resort the rooms are very big very nice they have a coffee machine a mini refrigerator cable TV tea bags sugar coffee for the percolator and the rates are reasonable they are doing some upgrades to the outside and it's very nice and tropical. This was my first time eating at the restaurant the chef I don't know his name but the appetizers and drinks were very very good I will definitely be going back we also use the pool and the view from the deck of the ocean was beautiful I will definitely be going back here for more lunches appetizers and The View

We had lunch great large salad with fabulous house dressing with lightly batter grouper tell it was prepared by chef.Excellent service would highly recommend on deck overlooking ocean.

The staff is absolutely awesome, they will go the extra mile to ensure your happiness. No staff at night, it felt like my family was the only one there. No microwave in my room, don't expect American standards, world class beach centered around family. Relax and enjoy!
