"Universal Orlando Resort refers to Volcano Bay as its third theme park, and with 18 attractions spread across 25 acres, there’s plenty to fill your day. It’s all centered around Krakatau, a 200-foot-tall, hyper-realistic volcano that houses four different water slides and shows off with fiery lava at night. Universal hotel guests have a dedicated entrance and receive one-hour early entry, so plan an onsite stay if you want to conquer Volcano Bay in all its glory. The park is open year-round, and the water is heated to a comfortable 85 degrees during the cooler months." - Valerie Marino

Volcano Bay in Orlando is a tropical water park with thrilling rides, relaxing rivers, and Polynesian vibes. It offers something for everyone, from adrenaline-pumping slides to family-friendly adventures. The TapuTapu wearable lets you virtually wait in line, freeing up your time for exploring. With delicious food and rental options, Volcano Bay offers a complete aquatic experience. Remember, arriving early helps avoid crowds, and don't forget sunscreen and water for the Florida heat. Overall, Volcano Bay is a fantastic water park for a memorable day of fun in Orlando.

This is such a fun water park! We stayed at the hotel next door which gave us early access, which was fantastic. We were able to ride the roller coaster twice and do basically all the other rides in the first two hours before it got busy. Then we enjoyed using the arm bands to reserve spots on future rides while being on rides that had no wait. There’s plenty of really fun rides, two lazy rivers, pools, and good eats across the park.

This park was simply fantastic. This is the nicest water park I've ever been to, and the design and ingenuity blew me away! I definitely recommend visiting this park while in Orlando or swinging by to view the other two Orlando theme parks. We were able to go down all of the slides twice each and spend two hours in the wave pool. In addition, we enjoyed an excellent supper at one of the park's restaurants. The water is crystal clear and clean, and the staff members are friendly and helpful. Lockers are available at this location for a fee of $25. Overall, it's the best place to visit with your friends or family members.

We had a blast here! We came with a group of 2 families, each with 2 adults and 2 children (ages 4-7) and it cost $372 for our family if 4. It was a perfect place for a sunny Florida day. The activities were great and safe for kids of all ages. There was plenty to do. The lines weren't too long. We would come here over the other theme parks any day - especially a hot day. You can pay for a locker but we didn't. We just found a beach chair (there are more empty ones if you go further back in the park. If we ever found ourselves getting bored or hot, we'd jump in the lazy river and the kids really enjoyed it. Make sure you try the river when the waves and stuff are going. We used the watch on the big water roller coaster at the start of the day and went on rides that didn't require it the rest of the day and the lazy rivers. The watch was fun for the kids to keep track of time. You can get all your pictures at the end of the day with your watch when you leave the park. My only tip would be to be extra nice to the ride attendants where you tap your watch. We found some of them would let us in rides that you needed the watch for and some didn't.

Volcano Bay was fun! We went on a weekday. The park was pretty full, but we got there early and found some chairs right in front of the sand beach with a view of the volcano. I liked that there were a lot of staff members and lifeguards around the park. The tapu tapu wristband was cool, but I saw a lot of people asking how to use it and doing the line without having reserve beforehand. I saw staff members having to explain how to use the wristband in almost every ride line. We walked the whole park barefoot. They have sprinklers that cool down the floors. We had to leave early because it started raining and lighting. Overall, it was good.

Google
This place is a good time. You can bring your own water bottles but you can also get the reusable/refillable cups which is a good deal. They have little shops that you can get all your water needs from sunscreen, water shoes, waterproof containers, towels and spf shirts. Getting to the park early so you can grab an umbrella. There are lots of places to eat. Snacks are available all over. The slides are so much fun. There are a few that are drop slides, family/friends can ride together. Racing slides and single rider. The pool in front of the volcano is nice but does have waves from time to time. There are two rivers one lazy and the other is a river rapid which gets a little crazy but still fun. My son and I have annual passes so we take advantage of the parks when the weather is nice.

Google
Love this place and love the drinks 🫨😮‍💨😂 My partner and I have been maybe 5 times since it has opened. I don’t recommend waiting for the day of your trip to rent the premium loungers. If you stay all day pick the loungers behind the palm trees ☀️ . I like that the loungers have a small locker and offer table side service.

Google
Simply, this place is fantastic - we had a super great time. There are several water parks in Orlando. We carefully googled all, and we all chose Universal Volcano Bay. Accommodating all family members - thrill rides lovers, and simple rides fans. I would definitely come back again - I strongly recommend this amazing water park.

Yelp
We had such a good time here. We've been debating whether or not to visit this place for several years. We finally gave it a try and were not disappointed. Arrive early, as soon as they open! Immediately use your Taputapu to get in line for one of the attractions that has the longest wait: KRAKATAU, or one of the drop slides. Next, go get a locker, food, chairs, etc. We LOVED the taputapu system. I wish all theme parks used this. I wish there has been a bit more shade in the actual Bay Area near the volcano. We were able to get some chairs, but we had to walk through the burning sand to get to them. Also, do not wait until the end of the day to leave--this is when EVERYONE leaves and you will be waiting at least an hour and a half to exit the park. Food was pretty good, the $20 souvenir cup was a great deal given that you get free refills for the whole day.

Yelp
Honest opinion here. I live in miami, FL and took the drive of about 3 1/2 this past weekend of 05/11/2024. I had recently been to aquatica a few months prior to Volcano Bay and it was completely different. This was my very first time at Volcano Bay and I had very high hopes considering I had already been to a touristy water park. Volcano Bay was PACKED. granted it was mothers day weekend. but holy cow was it PACKED. i cant emphasize it enough... We spent most of our time in the lazy river and just waiting to get on a ride. Put it like this, in the whole day I got to only go on 2 waterslides. that is insane! one of the popular slides had a 90 minute wait... felt like i was at Universal.

Yelp
Volcano Bay in Orlando is one of our favorite water parks to come to. Very well run and plenty to do for an entire day of fun in the sun and water. Recommend to come early if you want to get on the popular rides. We stayed at Cabana Bay next to the park so we had early access which was great as the the park can get a bit crowded towards the middle of the day. Also coming early allows you to get one of the shaded beach chairs which is nice if you want to take a break from the water activities. The sand and concrete can get hot so bring water shoes or waterproof sandals to help your feet from getting burned. The food is good and we opted for tacos, nachos and poke which is served with nachos. There are two lazy rivers of which one is standard and the other is fast which seems to be the more popular one and requires a life vest. Overall 5 solid stars for Volcano Bay for a fun day for the whole family.

Yelp
There's a lot of bad reviews???? Why?? I can see if you are just purchasing a one day pass it could be pricy but if you have a season pass, it's totally well worth it! In my situation, that was the case. We were able to experience volcano bay multiple times and it has always been a fun time! I can't wait for my next fun adventure here!

Hope K.

Yelp
We had a blast here!! There is a bunch of different rides option to choose from for all ages! We loved the lazy and fast rivers!! The tacos were tasty, unique experience having plantain chips instead, which were pretty tasty. Something different! The tortillas were purple which was fun! The water temperature was perfect! The tapu tapu was confusing, but thankfully it wasn't busy and we didn't really use it other than to get on the rides. I love the interactives with the Tapu tapu, super fun! Scanning it for pictures was also amazing! I wish there were more maps, I found I very hard to find the rides. Once we walked 1.5 hours we were finally able to located rides, but that's a lot of walking around to find things. Overall it was very fun!!

Yelp
I'm astounded by any low reviews of this place. We had the best time and a full day here at Volcano Bay. The worst part of the experience was that the address on the tickets did NOT lead me to parking lot - universal should fix this as there was a sign saying "this is not the right spot to park" so they must know it's a problem. On to the park.... You will be parking and taking a bus to Volcano Bay. Pro tip : stay and visit city walk after to get the most out of your $32 outrageous parking fee. We got a large locker for the day $12 and also expensive but we brought stuff with us so had no choice. The rides were very fun and the Tapu Tapu system worked really well and allowed us to maximize our time at VB. We road every slide including the new aqua coaster. I feel like there's something for everyone here if you're looking for less thrills or extreme thrills. The fearless river was a pleasant surprise. We could see it from other attractions and were intrigued by how fast people were going. Once we got in (life vests mandatory and provided) we could have spent half the day in here - it was so much fun. We opted to buy lunch (check out my Bambu review) in the park and had snacks with us the rest of the day. Overall I can safely say I would be excited to return. The only downside is the cost - it's very expensive to bring your family here and just get in to the park (not considering parking, lockers, food). I loved the island vibe and universal did a great job creating an immersive experience.

Yelp
We went on a day that was meant to be pouring rain but go so lucky with the most beautiful day! We parked on the first floor of the city walk parking garage then hopped on a shuttle that dropped us off at the entrance to volcano bay. It was a spacious bus with A/C so it was great - we took this back to the garage at the end of the day and had no issues either time. The beach wasn't too crowded so we were easily able to find a seat. The rides were almost entirely "ride now" with no wait times except Krakatau which had a wait time of 235 by the afternoon. Make sure to bring sandals or water shoes to wear throughout the park as the floor can get hot. The food was great and there was a lot of seating available. It was all great portion sizes and we thoroughly enjoyed it. One thing to note is that there was one main line for all stations but then individual lines for each station. Meaning, everyone waited in one long line then got split up depending on whether they wanted pizza, burgers, etc. So keep that in mind if your party wants different options.

Yelp
We had a great time at Volcano Bay. Their time reservation system is really amazing. No standing in lines. But please do some research! Download their app and check out what slides you want to go on. The best slides have the longest wait times so I would reserve those first. Don't forget your waterproof phone carrier or you'll pay $35 for one there. Bring lots of sunscreen and I'd recommend getting there right when the park opens.

Yelp
Our first time visiting Volcano Bay and we actually had a pretty fun day -- just me and my husband. I'll start off by saying that we are locals and are not really waterpark people, so we haven't been in rush to check it out in the last 6 years (wow, has it really been that long already?!). We decided to go on a whim on a random Sunday in September. Not sure if it's because school was back in session, but they had pretty reasonable Florida Resident rates that day. We really lucked out with nice weather that wasn't too hot and the park wasn't overly crowded. Those two factors alone can make or break your experience at any theme park, so we were grateful. I didn't realize you still had to park at Universal's City Walk, but they have plenty of busses running to transport you from the parking garage to the park entrance. That part was a breeze even though parking still costs $30. Once you make it through the park gates, they give you the TapuTapu waterproof bracelet to wear for the day. This is how you tap into the virtual line queues for the slides and if you setup your account & payment info on the Universal app, you can also make all your purchases throughout the day just by tapping your wrist (so you don't have to carry your wallet around). We unfortunately could not get ours to work with the app. When we first arrived, there were employees trying to upsell us on premium seating and cabanas. We asked how much a cabana costs just for kicks and they start at $619... um we're good, thanks. Based on other reviews, it does sound like seating can be an issue during peak season/high traffic days, but we were able to easily find chairs in any area we went to that day. Be sure to BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS. If you don't have one, they charge $7 each for towel rental. Additionally, lockers to store your belongings are also not free. Large lockers are $20, but we managed to cram our things into a mini one for $10. It does feel like they nickel & dime you for every little thing. We had already spent an additional $50 from just parking and getting settled in which was annoying. We rode a few raft slides and the wait times were never more than 10-20 minutes. The longest wait time of the day was the Krakatau Aqua Coaster which had a 220 minute wait. It was still early enough in the day when we tapped in to join the line and were able to find plenty of other things to do in the meantime. I think our favorite attraction of the day was the Fearless River though. Opposite of the lazy river, this is a more fast paced adventure and everyone is required to wear a lifejacket before entering. We had so much fun coasting around, we probably did like 6 loops that day. We grabbed lunch from the Whakawaiwai Eats quick-service counter. Pro tip: Place the order through the app and skip the line. It was much faster. We got the pretzel dog combo (foot long hot dog, pineapple salsa, and bacon on a toasted pretzel bun) and the jerk shrimp mac & cheese (pan-seared shrimp tossed with pasta shells in a creamy white cheddar cheese sauce). The food was decent for theme park food. I also got a flaming hot cheetos corn dog later in the day which really hit the spot. SKIP the shaved iced from the ice cream kiosk. It was basically an inedible snow cone with no flavor... just terrible and I had to throw it away. Getting a cocktail from one of the two bars was also a challenge. They must not want people to drink lol. One of the bars even closed early at like 4pm which we thought was strange. We ended the day by walking through the volcano which was pretty cool. We were not brave enough to do the Ko'okiri Body Plunge (125 foot drop slide) in the volcano, but it was fun to watch others do it. Maybe next time!

Yelp
We added Volcano Bay as part of a 4-day family park visit to Universal Orlando and we SO GLAD we did! This isn't just a water park, it's a city! Every ride was better than the last! TapuTapu makes it easy to enjoy the park without waiting in traditional lines, your wristband will buzz when it's your time to return to the ride! The grounds were AMAZING, so gorgeously maintained! Tube escalators bring your tube up to the top of the ride for you! WHAT?!?! AND...the walkway misters meant you never had to burn your tender feeties walking between attractions, too! We liked the lazy river, and LOVED the crazy river! Plenty of tubes, chaises, white sugary beach areas, and room to play, relax and enjoy here! I'd also like to give a #UOFistBump to Karl, the concierge locker attendant who was a shining example of friendly and personable guest services! Staff like him make a difference in a guest's stay, keep him!!! This park exceeded our every expectation and now makes our hometown waterpark look like a sad little kiddie pool LOL! If you have a chance to add Volcano Bay, DO IT! Very different vibe and great change of pace from the crowds & coasters, it felt like a vacation day!

Krissia G.

Yelp
Amazing park!! First time coming here and we had an amazing time. Just want to give you an FYI if you're coming around this time of year be prepared as it is super busy. We arrived at about 9:30am and the line to get in for parking was already long.... We didn't wait long to get into the bus or get into the park itself. The lines move pretty fast. Tickets are on the expensive side at this time. We asked a worker there when is the best time to come and of course they said Sept/Oct/Nov lol which is considered "fall" here in Florida and a little colder of course. The rides were fun and I loved the fact that we can scan in for the rides with your tapu tapu watch to be able to jump right in line when it's your time. The food wasn't really the best for me, we ate at Kohola Reef Restaurant & Social Club the only thing we enjoyed was the pizza which it has been said to be the best thing at the park to eat. Hawaiian ribs wasn't the greatest and neither was the bacon burger. I really loved that when you purchase the park cup you could bring those in whenever you come and refill your drinks. Alcohol drinks were amazing at the dancing dragons bar. We purchased specialty drinks, Volcano Bay Rum Punch and Blue Hawaiian which was a great deal because they come in souvenir glass so when you reorder you receive $3.50 off your next drink! All in all will be coming back sometime beginning of September to see how busy it is!

Christopher B.

Yelp
I had an absolute blast at Universal's Water Park! There were lots of food stations and options that offered both meat and non-meat items. The rides were plenty and I liked the diversity of couple, family, and solo attractions. The park also has a cool wristband (waterproof of course) that allows you to tap in and out of rides that have a long line that informs you when your turn comes up, allowing you to hit up the other rides or relax by the beach in the meantime. Yes I said beach! Awesome idea to put sand by the lounge chairs! Makes it truly feel like a Hawaiian vacation with the themed rides and general scenery. I would recommend some maps around the park and it is easy to get a little lost but still 5/5 hands down! Also important to note you can go through the inside of the volcano for a nice walk from one side to other too! Great work developers!

Alycia H.

Yelp
Our family had an amazing time at Universal's Volcano Bay water park! From the water slides to the relaxing lazy river, there was something for everyone. The centerpiece volcano added a unique and exciting touch to the park's ambiance. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lines for some attractions were extremely long, and we didn't get to ride. Nevertheless, the fun and enjoyment we had makes Volcano Bay a definite must-visit for families looking for a day of aquatic adventure!

Michelle C.

Yelp
The Universal Volcano Bay park is beautiful and very fun! The staff is friendly. The food is delicious! The attractions are a lot of fun! We paid $75-80 per person for just a day at this park. Parking $30- a shuttle would take you to the park. No waits in Feb and no crazy crowds!

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Visited this beautiful water park while vacationing in Orlando. The entire park was well designed and has some amazing attention to details. The park is very well kept and clean. There is no overflowing of trash containers, or trash on the door. And the bathrooms smelled good and was already well stocked. Be careful in bathroom the floors are very wet but there is wet floor signs each time I went in. I'm sure it's impossible for maintenance to keep the bathroom floors dry as it's a water park. We stayed at the adjoining hotel owned by Universal so we had a private entrance to enter and experienced no long wait. All of the slides are fun, some more intense then others. The big pool was fun. There is an abundance of chairs to lay out on but I was annoyed at the amount of people who simply "claimed" their chairs with towels in the morning then left the park for hours. Only gave 4 stars for a few reasons. 1. I felt the water park was small and could have been bigger with more. I'm from Virginia we're we have Water Country USA so I'm comparing to that. 2. There wasn't a major price different for adults and children. We had a three park pass but when I did the math there was a $70 difference to add on this park. And only $5 price difference for adults and children. 3. It's extremely pricy in the park. The food in park is expected to be pricey I get that but I was kind of disappointed in the lack of food options and the I just felt like I wasn't getting much for what I paid for. The lockers were $20 for a large one for the day which was able to hold two backpacks. 4. Lastly, the process to go into the virtual que and wait your time doesn't allow you to ride any other rides while you wait. You can only go in the lazy River of the big pool. Wait times were like 30-60 minutes for most rides. Overall a very nice water park that I highly recommend you visit while in Orlando if you have the time and available finances.

Yelp
Felt like I was on island time at Volcano Bay! Escape the ordinary and dive into a tropical paradise right here in Orlando. Volcano Bay is the ultimate destination for thrill-seekers and relaxation enthusiasts alike. With stunning water attractions, sandy beaches, and the iconic Krakatau volcano, you'll feel like you're on a permanent vacation. Whether you're conquering daring slides or simply soaking up the sun, every moment at Volcano Bay is an adventure. Don't forget to sip on exotic drinks while you're here! Let me know how your experience goes

Yelp
We went here on the first Saturday of Spring Break for the kids. As expected, it was super crowded. Since it was our first visit ever, (we just upgraded our tickets the evening before) we didn't know where anything was. With the amount of people there, on top of being super crowded, it wasn't the most pleasant experience. We didn't worry though since we had passes and could come back anytime! Anyways, we found a couple chairs and made that our base. The Tapu Tapu system is interesting. Not sure I'm a fan, but it's something we'll have to get used to. We did arrive after lunch and the virtual queue for the most popular water coaster was clocking in at 245 minute wait. Yes- we waited. You are able to ride other rides quoted as "ride now", but are unable to queue in another line that ISN'T until your first reservation is completed. We ordered a couple sandwiches for dinner. The burger was off- the patty wasn't good at all, but the fries were great. The pulled pork sandwich, on the other hand, was quite good! We're looking forward to our next visit to explore more.

Kari C.

Yelp
Such a nice surprise! Our vacation package included free admission to Volcano Bay. We went on our last day at Universal and we're so happy that we decided to take the trip. Volcano Bay is huge. Pictures and video don't do it justice. We spent our time in the toddler, little kid area and loved it. Good seats are occupied and hard to come by. Lots of fun for children. Food options are not as plentiful as one might thing for such a large park and can use improvement and management with the lines. We would visit again.

Derrica E.

Yelp
10/10 Only issue was the wait times for the slides you only can get on the waitlist for one slide

Sofyan S.

Yelp
Wow, this may be my new favorite Universal Park because it's so chill and repeatable because it's basically a really nice beach with tons of slides and river rides. My favorites are the water coaster, fearless fast river, and the facing forward raft rides. I'm not a particular fan of the body slides because I did one and many of them are so fast and so much water is shooting at your face that it's hard to enjoy. However, the other rides and attractions are quite fun. The wave pool connected to the main volcano is warm and nice to dip and do a light swim in. Just make sure not to jump and accidentally scrape your knee at the bottom which I did because the pool is quite shallow. Overall a super awesome experience and park that I'd love to go to and enjoy again.

Chaveli G.

Yelp
We've gone here couple times and it never fails to be so much fun. The prices are great and we just happen to go when it's not extremely crowed. It's one of the best water parks we have visited so far. Such a fun experience and it's definitely worth staying there all day and renting a tent area. 100/100

Emely R.

Yelp
Have not been to Volcano Bay in almost 2 years and I'm happy to be back and the service has improved a ton! Maybe it was the staff there that day throughout the park. Friendly, nice and attentive staff wherever you needed them. The park has the same great atmosphere and water rides. The reason for the four star review and not a five is because we ordered at the Bambo Cafe section a chicken sandwich and the entire sandwich was cold and not cooked. The chicken was a block of chicken patty. The taste was bland but I expected at least my food to be hot and ready or warm. But other than that everything else was good.

Vincent R.

Yelp
Great food and beer at this location. The bartender Brian was absolutely great and the owner ran home to get me a sticker. I will definitely be back tot his location when I'm back in Florida.

Nathan M.

Yelp
I would've given this property a 5 star rating, but some of things we experienced during our time there made me rate 3 stars instead. First off, is how difficult it is to navigate through the park. I get that like this waterpark is themed as like Hawaiian but if you ask one of the employees where one of the rides is you don't know how to pronounce it or you can't understand them because of weird names of rides. Another thing that was super annoying was that it was nearly impossible to know what time it was because they only show the time in like 4 different areas, it's on those big screens that show certain rides and their wait times. They are like difficult to find because they're like tucked into corners. I feel that the TapuTapu device that you get should also display the time. Something that was really cringe was how we didn't know that the lazy river was closed until we got there. If you look on the Universal Orlando website under their "Temporary Attraction Closures" section underneath the park hours tab, it's blank, indicating that everything was open which I had been keeping an eye on days prior to our visit only to find out that the lazy river was closed upon arrival at the lazy river entrance. Point being, don't believe the website because it's not accurate at all. Probably better off to call ahead to see if anything is closed that day. Finally, the lifeguards in the "Fearless River" ride. There is one part of where the water becomes more intense to create the waves and if you're close enough to it the water will suck you backwards towards the grate that the water flies out of at intense speeds. Now, you'd think the lifeguards would just be watching you to ensure you make it back out of that area safely to you know make sure you don't drown. But no, instead they're up on edge saying "come out from the wall" and swinging their arms. Like- you don't say? Thought I'd drown instead! Thanks for the help, majority of lifeguards in that park are useless and need to be retrained properly. Except for the ones we had who were operating the slides, they were good. We stayed at Cabana Bay Beach Resort so we didn't need to pay for parking, as there is a guest entrance plus a shuttle. But I'm pretty sure for those who are outside of the universal resorts it's just as expensive as other parks which is $30+ dollars. Also, the locker is $25 which is insanely overpriced for the size of it, all these theme parks are money grabbers more so after the pandemic LOL. Speaking of which, the park closes at 6pm for what? Overall, it was an ok experience, but things would need to improve in order to return.

Armanda L.

Yelp
Great time but pricey. If u want u can bring something to eat but I didn't know. I'm not sure about drinks but I did enjoy myself.

Mindy B.

Yelp
Great park- so much to do! There are things to do for kids of all ages. There is lots of shaded seating available and the watches are very efficient to tap into rides to reserve a time. Can't wait to go back!

Mya B.

Yelp
Best waterpark ever!! The staff were very friendly and helpful! the food was amazing and the slides were like no other!!

Melody F.

Yelp
Impossible to contact. If you call the number it just sends you round and round on the phone menu from hell. No number you select will ever get you to a person. And if you try to email them it wants you to give freakin' microsoft access to your gmail (or other email) account. Um. No. Absolutely not. You can't see the hours for more than a couple months ahead so it's impossible to plan a vacation. The website shows different pricing depending on if you're on your phone or your desktop. The park looks lovely, but I may never see it because they've decided to make it impossible.

Yelp
This our 2nd year renting a cabana for the day and I have nothing but good views. From checking in to checking out. Service is outstanding with a Goodmorning smile to welcome us early entrance family checking us in our cabana was quick and easy with such great staff that literally told us everything we needed as Ramona our cabana attendant walked us to our cabana with a welcome snack basket she was a delight made my family feel at home but let me tell you about Seline out cabana server she is AWESOME so friendly and happy love the personality. I do recommend you reserve a cabana when you spend the day at volcano bay you will not be disappointed you don't have to worry about anything. Oh you can bring your own chargers for your phones our whatever because the cabana has outlets. Please share with me how your cabana experience was MAHALO

Yelp
First time here & loved it. There were a few things I didn't like about the park. 1. U can't put multiple rides on ur watch but u can switch rides on it 2. The wave pool wasn't as intense as other wave pools & finally the park closes way too early. We went on a Thursday 10 to 5pm. Anywho. We had a blast, it's hawaiian theme so u definitely felt like u were on the islands. They play Hawaiian music thru out the park and I heard a few songs that brought back memories of when we used to live on Oahu. The aqua coaster is a blast the best ride they got.

Yelp
Universal would not let us book a cabana until about 3 weeks before our visit. Price was outrageous ! - $699 for one day!! All that was provided was a tray of dried up pastries and some fruit, plus a fridge with water and a safe. Not even a choice of soft drinks. Waiter/waitress service was spotty and expensive on top of tickets, cabana rental. The cabana was in the shade so no sunbathing either. Definitely would not waste our money again. The ride from the parking lot is lengthy and you have to wait for a bus - no sense of urgency so each bus is packed. Universal just can't match Disney !

Yelp
Great water park in orlando. It was a bit busy at times but would definitely recommend. They give you watches to stay in a digital line.

Yelp
The true happiest place on earth!! Universal's Volcano Bay is an incredible water park that offers a truly immersive and unforgettable experience for guests of all ages. From the moment you step into the park, you're transported to a paradise with the Krakatau volcano as the centerpiece. One of the best things about Volcano Bay is the sheer variety of attractions available for all ages. Whether you're looking for thrilling water slides or more relaxing activities, there's something for everyone. The park features a number of exhilarating slides and raft rides, as well as a wave pool, lazy river, and an innovative water coaster that takes you through the heart of the volcano. In addition to the attractions, the park also offers a range of amenities that make your visit all the more enjoyable. From the private cabanas and premium seating options (for an additional cost) to the delicious food. Overall, Universal's Volcano Bay is an exceptional water park that offers a one-of-a-kind experience for guests. With thrilling attractions, beautiful sights, and top-notch amenities, it's a must-visit destination for anyone visiting the Orlando area!

Yelp
We loved this place. A wonderful use of a day while in Florida. We got a downpour for about 2 hours. A ton of people took cover, but we were already wet and the rain was warm so we just kept playing and had a blast. The lazy rivers were so fun. They have one that you wear life jackets in and the water just takes you- no tubes. I could've been in that all day. We didn't hit any of the volcano slides or body slides because I am 20 weeks pregnant, but we still did most of the others and had a blast. The rides with the "rafts" (5 seater tubes) were our favorites and we never had a wait. The food was significantly overpriced in my opinion. We started off by trying to go to the Malibu and arrived at about 2:05. The app said they closed at 2:30. The guy said "nope the app is wrong. Sorry. We are closed." And it turns out that most of the food closes between 2-3 which was lame we thought. So we ended up at the main food place near the entrance and got the jalapeño burger and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious. I wasn't thrilled to pay $20/each meal, but it was good so at least there was that. We also got a churro and a rainbow ice cream cone. Again, both very yummy but overpriced. If we had been there with lots of kids or other family, I would've definitely recommended to bring food with, because the price tags on food was ridiculous. All in all, we will definitely make this a staple anytime we are in Florida!

Yelp
My family had so much fun! They have a kid zone for big kids and toddlers. The pool floats for the lazy river were free so that was a plus! The wave pool was nice and the waves weren't that bad. The food is a bit pricey but we're locals so Im sure it's nothing for tourist. They do allow you to bring in soft sided coolers and non hot food. The staff was really nice! Everyone was open to questions and they all had smiles on their faces even in the heat! We'll definitely be back! May even try a cabana next time!

Yelp
Most beautiful scenery and theming. Felt like I was in Hawaii with tiki huts, tropical plants totem polls all around. Staff is very friendly and care about safety. Rented a cabana and staff there went out of there way to accommodate us. Food is very limited and not too many good options. However cabana food was great. Rides were great. Thrilling and felt safe. Everything is clean and in good order. Even the bathroom. I did feel like something was missing in terms of attractions. No hot tub. No diving boards. A rope swing or climbing wall would have been nice. Also a fish pond or aquarium would have been nice. Need more gourmet or fresh food options instead of prepackaged foods. Tapu tapu system is great but when it gets busy you still may need to wait in 30-60 min line. Cabana was nice but overpriced for what you get. No televisions like most cabana. Also no loungers or way to tan as it is completely covered. Just have chairs that you can fully lay back. A lot of open space o in the middle of cabana that needs furniture. I probably wouldn't rent one next time I came. I would do premium chairs instead.

Yelp
Love this park. Although it can get really packed, early admission (9am) gets you about an hour of peace and reprieve from the crowed. The lounge areas in front of the wave pool are the busiest. If you don't set up parameter clearly, people will move your items away and take over your spot. Unfortunately there are a lot of rude and ill mannered people to contend with. It can also get very hot in the middle of the day. Small oasis of shaded bliss are scattered around. A few toward the back of the volcano or by the kiddie area. Cabana's you have to book weeks in advance, just be prepared to shell out several $$$. Line to order food can also get very long so order online. The line is way shorter, you can get your food in a few min vs. 45 min during lunch time.

Yelp
After spending a great weekend at Universal, including the purchase of VIP Tickets and a Cabana at Volcano Bay, we needed to leave a couple hours early. I wanted to let a family enjoy the remainder of time at the Cabana. Universal wouldn't let me do it. They wanted to rent it out... even though I already paid for it! I am offended by Big Business's inability to allow a moment of kindness. No, let's always be mindful of the almighty dollar.

Yelp
Lazy river was cool , they should really add more pool floats tho. I really liked that you're able to hold your place in line with the watch band that was pretty cool. The park is kinda big could be kind of confusing, over all I like the look of the park feels like you're on vacation. Sad part is you have to be really early because it gets crowded , I arrived about a hour after the park opened and couldn't find any seats , to be fair it was spring break so maybe that had something to do with it ?

Yelp
I have never been here and was excited to check it out. I will share some important information I learned from my visit. First the Tapu is very important as it allows you to wait for 1 ride at a time and counts down, it allows you to sync the universal app to it for purchases and it allows you interact with fun things around the park. I arrived, got my Tapu and walked all the way over to the Aqua Coaster, and went to scan it but it said deactivated and I was told I needed to go get it exchanged it was dead. I was pretty frustrated as this was the early entry, and I just arrived, and they gave me a dead one. I went and got it exchanged and saw towels. Well, towels are not included. You pay a $7 rental fee for towels. Lockers are also not included, and you pay $5-$25 based on the size. This is OK because if you just sync your universal app, you can leave your shoes and sirt on a chair. I put my phone in it too, but waterproof phone cases are highly recommended. I got back to the coaster, and they were experiencing some issues, so they were not checking anyone in. When I got in line and made it to the top I was a single rider (sorry no single rider line) if you are single they have to get a couple to agree you can join or find another single rider because of weight distribution. This can be awkward, and I rode this 3 times the first time with another single rider and the next 2 times with couples that were reluctant. The ride with me and the other person was way more comfortable. The ride itself is very fun! It's just the right amount of thrill for someone who is reluctant. You definitely should try this it's not scary and very fun! I also got some very expensive food. I got the chicken sandwich on coconut bread. I have never had coconut bread it was pretty good, but the tomatoes were going bad. Another tip is wearing water shoes or flip-flops. They spray the ground everywhere, but the pavement is still hot, and some areas it will hurt your feet. They do have little areas to put your stuff for most attractions also. Don't miss going into the volcano. There is a talking rock that you can interact with, and it sprays water and is a lot of fun!! I did not see any hand sanitation at the restaurants, which I was disappointed by, but they are in the bathrooms. The slides are fun and thrilling. All in all, it's fun. I think the only way I would return would be it included with my ticket or a gift. If you found this review helpful at all, please mark as helpful and follow me for more reviews around the world

Yelp
Best water park I have visited till date! The price is great we paid almost 95 with taxes per person. Food is priced well around 20 per person for sandwich fries and drink. It was honestly really good. Usually I'm not a fan but I was definitely impressed. They have everything for everyone. My personal favorite was the fearless river. Had a blast with the family will definitely return.

Yelp
Great water park, get there early for a more convenient spot or you'll walking all day to get from slide to slide....

Yelp
Amazing day at Volcano Bay in July! Tapu tapu system worked wonderfully. We rented a cabana & spent the full day at the park. Shout out to Ashley for amazing service!!

Yelp
We have been to a lot of water parks, but none make us feel so relaxed so quickly upon entering. From the Tapu-Tapu which allows you to do everything from paying for food and drinks to holding your place in line so you can go play somewhere else, to the lack of clocks around the park, to the fact that the scenery makes you forget you are just off I-4 and instead on a tropical island, Volcano Bay has quickly become our favorite water park. Just the fact we enter and relax immediately will keep us coming back again and again.

Yelp
Second time here and last. Too crowded. The Tapu Tapu things actually delay your entire day and were probably designed to make you spend more money and keep you there. Rides weren't good enough to make me wait that long. Too crowded.

Yelp
Universal Studios Volcano Bay was quite underwhelming. The park boasts of its thrilling water rides, but unfortunately, there's only a small amount of them. We got there at 9:30 and in just 2 hours, I managed to try everything they had to offer. For the high ticket price, I expected a lot more entertainment and variety. Also, you need to park in the city walk garage and take a bus to the park. This went smoothly but it was kind of annoying. Disappointing experience overall.

Yelp
Super super Fun! We came here for Spring Break as a family of four... we opted for the premium seating since all Cabanas were sold out.. we had an amazing time! The staff was very accommodating.. premium seating was a good addition to our experience, since we get to order food and drinks from our seats and the lounge chairs come with an umbrella.. the pools are heated to 80degrees although it felt super cold to me, but really on a hot day it's refreshing. The fast river is so much fun, they provide life jackets for everyone and it's mandatory to wear one on this attraction.. the rides are all fun and appropriate for children. Overall we had a blast! we will return soon!

Yelp

Yelp
As the part is beautiful and the theming is great as well. The only flaw is the wrist band they give you for water rides. It doesn't tell you the current time and throughout the park there is no clocks to see what time it is. The other flaw is that you can only reserve one ride at a time. Another issue is when you walk around the concrete can be really hot to walk on and walking throughout the day the door and floor and sand can do a toll on your feet. The highlight was the drinks were really good, I got a pina colada. They don't really have good snack for being in the hot Florida heat. Just salty pretzels and popcorn. I wish they had more fruit or hydrating options for food and drinks. I also think they should include multiple refillable water spots for water bottles in the park to hydrate. My favorite thing was the lazy river and the fast river. They were super fun and well themed. I will be back again to ride more rides and check out more food options.
