SCARY! We arrived to find individuals in the parking lot engaged in using drugs. We went into the lobby and were hit with a horrible smell of mold and cigarettes. Once in the room, you could see that they tried to update. It was painted cute, but the smell of mold was in EVERYTHING. The floors were sticky, and the smell was overwhelming. I told the front desk about the smell and they informed me that homeless people camp in the corner of the parking lot and smoke so the rooms smell. They also walk past the rooms at all hours of the night. While walking back to our room there was a violent police confrontation in the abandoned lot across the street. We were booked for two nights but could not stay. We checked out and asked for a partial refund for our second night, which we were denied. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. VERY UNSAFE, VERY SMELLY.

Excellent place to stay. I'm surprised with the room, the service and the place. I read some review before telling that, there are homeless people around and it's dangerous at night. That's totally NOT TRUE. This place is at the safer side of Tucson. There is a park beside and we have families coming to that park. The whole area is safe and sound. The rooms are a big surprise. They are big, the bed is huge and comfortable. It's quiet and cozy at night. I slept well after a long flight from Malaysia. The Hotel is so accommodative and friendly. My baggage got lost in the transit and when the airline sent it to me, I had already checked out from the hotel. The owner kept it safe for me. A lot of eatery nearby and extremely convenient to move around from here.

This hotel is somewhat rundown and directly next to a park that is occupied by a fairly large homeless population. The pool is small, unshaded and directly in the parking lot next to the park and homeless community, making it completely unusable. The manager of the hotel explained to us that many of the high ratings of the hotel come from people who he offered low rates to for longer stays, and then asked to write reviews as if they stayed for a shorter period. No one looking for a place to stay for a short period, and certainly not with children for safety reasons, should consider this hotel. The manager offered to reimburse us after we complained, but then stopped answering all emails and phone calls once we departed. UPDATE: I appreciate the hotel's lengthy and thoughtful response, but it is in part deceptive and dishonest. We did not stay at the hotel overnight, we decided to leave after the manager gave us his word he would refund us for our reservation. No one from the hotel ever responded to our follow ups when we did not receive the refund. We are still waiting for the refund to come through. In addition, the manager became very agitated and angry when we mentioned the homeless community in the park, stating he would "pay 10,000 dollars" to anyone who was threatened by them while at the hotel. Instead of accepting this risk despite the generous offer of compensation, we decided not to stay at the hotel.

In the context of an affordable room in close proximity to the concert venue for which were there, this place checked all the boxes. If you want the Sheraton or the Ritz, go there. This is a beautifully simple place but has obviously been updated across the board. The place is covered in solar panels! Great investment and says something about the commitment the owners have to staying viable for a long, long time! The room decor was surprisingly modern and funky! And SUPER CLEAN! We talked about it as we drove away: what could we point to to withhold a ‘fifth star’? There was even free EV charging in three parking spots! Nice surprise that allowed us to get on our way first thing in the morning. Check out Bumstead’s across the street for breakfast! Great food and service (thanks Carolina!!).

When we pulled into the hotel it looked dated and we were a little worried what the inside of the rooms might be like. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was totally remodeled, very modern, comfortable & clean. Beds were very comfortable & room was big. No issues at all. Close to our concert venue & shopping & restaurants. Would definately stay here again.

The only problem we had was that even though we booked this room with Booking.com. My husband was asked to put 100. Deposit hold on the room with the room rate. We had never heard of that. The room was very modern and very clean. We were a little apprehensive when we pulled up, but it turned out to be a delight. They did reimburse us a day after we left, so that was awesome, just strange. All in all, we would go back. There is an EeeGee's, Starbucks, and a Hot Pot right around the road on Speedway.

Two adults and three kids, rooms are simple, it was nice to have the family room with a separate bedroom for us parents. Pool small and unheated but still nice in the heat. Good central location, close to downtown restaurants and 20 minutes east or west to Sonoran desert parks.

Room is a great size and clean. The decor is boho contemporary 🤣, and I loved it…. No corny desert photos of cacti and cowboys. It was quiet e Celt fir o Casio al car on Main Street. And the split heating:air conditioning system was perfect for getting room temperature r Schlueter how you want it quickly.
