University Inn Tucson

As always I had a great stay at University Inn. This hotel surpassed my expectations in every way. The room was spacious, clean, well-furnished, well-lit and comfortable. The cable TV service offered a really good selection of programs. The hotel staff and manager were super nice and very professional in their dealings with me. There is a good Mexican restaurant which lies about 15 minutes walk away.

My wife and I stayed during NASCAR Weekend, and it was great!! Very well kept, and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The only minus is that there were no luggage carts anywhere to be found!

As a motel in Tucson, I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean and spacious. There are no non-sketchy areas in Tucson unfortunately, but the owner at University Inn has made good effort to provide security and comfort to his guests. He carefully watches who enters and exits the property, so this is a great place for non-locals, especially visiting academics who might otherwise feel wary of Tucson.

Owners were very nice. Room was interesting, very clean and well maintained. We will stay here again. The only thing lacking was a hand held sprayer in the shower. Otherwise it was perfect! ……………………………………………………………………………………,……..,………..

University Inn is a 60s era motel that has been refurbished and reconditioned. The rooms are clean and quiet, the facility is secure, the staff is friendly, and the price is fair. It is also only 5 minutes away from the historic Presidio district and downtown Tucson. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a basic, no-frills place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is very close to campus, which is why we were in Tucson. It is on a busy street with a park next door but they have a large fence around the parking lot so anyone coming on property would have to go by the cameras and lights of front office. We saw no one who shouldn’t be there, so we felt safe leaving our car. They have EV charging if you need it. Our room was clean and a good temperature. We got there several hours before checkin for a football game and they were in the process of installing a brand new big screen tv in our room. The owner was very friendly and we left all our bags in the room and headed to the game. He described this hotel as “his baby” and I believe it. We got the room with 4 beds so it had an extra bedroom which has its own AC. Nice bathroom with modern fixtures, mini fridge, microwave, ironing board, coffee maker. Big screen tv in the main room. They blend in well so I missed them at first, but there are USB and outlet plugs in the middle nightstands. The beds and pillows were all comfy. They give you the login for the WiFi. Nice little small business owned hotel very near campus and we would stay here again next football game visit.

I stay here for Tucson events and the upgrades since last stay are remarkable. |Very well maintained, comfy beds and pillows, and big screen entertainment.

Stayed here one night. This is a two story, motel type place. It was an in expensive place but you got your money worth. I was delighted to find that the interior rooms were recently renovated and appeared much better than the outside. All the areas (inside/outside) was kept very clean. Everything worked fine and appreciated that they had black out and regular window covering. It had microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, etc.||Breakfast was served in their office area which was simple which was coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, bread/bagel and packaged pastries. It was ok, they had trays so I was able to take the breakfast back to our room since there wasn’t much room in the office area and it was already taken.
