I stayed at University Inn Tucson for a full week and it was an excellent value. The room was clean, updated, and clearly well cared for. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful anytime I had a question, which always makes a place feel more comfortable. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it if you want a solid, no-stress stay in Tucson.

If you’re a seeker of all things of the highest quality at an affordable price then this is THE BEST PLACE. Really huge big screen TV,super comfortable beds and rock solid security. They also have a charging port for charging electric cars. I travel a lot and none of the more expensive chains come close to the overall extreme excellence I experienced during my 1 week stay here December 2025. 1 million ⭐️

I booked this based on other reviews and was pleasantly surprised! I was a bit skeptical because it is a motel but the rooms are all updated and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the linens are wonderful! You can tell great care is taken with the property. The staff is welcoming and happy to help with whatever you need. I did see a bet of sketchiness happening at the park across the street but the property itself seems safe. I would stay here again.

Had a lot of fun clicking the next button and watching the price of this hotel increase with every new page. Went from $496 -> $571 -> $601 -> $697. Even though I chose the original option to include taxes and fees, this place somehow found a way to tack on an extra $200 in taxes and fees after that. Super cool!!!!

Excellent place to stay. I'm surprised with the room, the service and the place. I read some review before telling that, there are homeless people around and it's dangerous at night. That's totally NOT TRUE. This place is at the safer side of Tucson. There is a park beside and we have families coming to that park. The whole area is safe and sound. The rooms are a big surprise. They are big, the bed is huge and comfortable. It's quiet and cozy at night. I slept well after a long flight from Malaysia. The Hotel is so accommodative and friendly. My baggage got lost in the transit and when the airline sent it to me, I had already checked out from the hotel. The owner kept it safe for me. A lot of eatery nearby and extremely convenient to move around from here.

This hotel is somewhat rundown and directly next to a park that is occupied by a fairly large homeless population. The pool is small, unshaded and directly in the parking lot next to the park and homeless community, making it completely unusable. The manager of the hotel explained to us that many of the high ratings of the hotel come from people who he offered low rates to for longer stays, and then asked to write reviews as if they stayed for a shorter period. No one looking for a place to stay for a short period, and certainly not with children for safety reasons, should consider this hotel. The manager offered to reimburse us after we complained, but then stopped answering all emails and phone calls once we departed. UPDATE: I appreciate the hotel's lengthy and thoughtful response, but it is in part deceptive and dishonest. We did not stay at the hotel overnight, we decided to leave after the manager gave us his word he would refund us for our reservation. No one from the hotel ever responded to our follow ups when we did not receive the refund. We are still waiting for the refund to come through. In addition, the manager became very agitated and angry when we mentioned the homeless community in the park, stating he would "pay 10,000 dollars" to anyone who was threatened by them while at the hotel. Instead of accepting this risk despite the generous offer of compensation, we decided not to stay at the hotel.

SCARY! We arrived to find individuals in the parking lot engaged in using drugs. We went into the lobby and were hit with a horrible smell of mold and cigarettes. Once in the room, you could see that they tried to update. It was painted cute, but the smell of mold was in EVERYTHING. The floors were sticky, and the smell was overwhelming. I told the front desk about the smell and they informed me that homeless people camp in the corner of the parking lot and smoke so the rooms smell. They also walk past the rooms at all hours of the night. While walking back to our room there was a violent police confrontation in the abandoned lot across the street. We were booked for two nights but could not stay. We checked out and asked for a partial refund for our second night, which we were denied. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. VERY UNSAFE, VERY SMELLY.

Great Motel. Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great location to UofA - few blocks walk brings you to the tram.
