Annie was a great guide and we had an excellent time. She was very knowledgeable about the palace and even more informative about the King Louis’, Marie Antoinette and the Hamlet (which is why we really wanted to go on this tour). She came with an added bonus of several fun/interesting architectural facts about the buildings as well as the “must-sees” to save time if needed. The biking was manageable for anyone; about 5 miles on flat ground at a pace suitable for a diverse group. There are E-bikes available if needed but I didn’t feel necessary. All in all, if you have the opportunity to do this tour over just going to the palace, I highly recommend. Thanks Annie and Fat Tire Biking Tours for an unforgettable experience.

We had an amazing tour with an awesome tour guide Simi. We did the Highlights of Paris 3 hour tour. By the luck of the draw, our tour only had Simi, my husband and I. It was the very best overview of Paris! We did a trip on a boat on the Seine on a different day from a different tour company and there was no narration. So thank goodness we had toured with Simi first and knew which buildings were which. Two notes. First, we originally signed up for regular bikes. They they asked if we wanted to upgrade to electric bikes. I explained in the text or email that we only needed one electric bike. When we arrived they had charged us for two electric bikes and said there was no way to correct that. So if I desired one electric bike and one regular, I would try to call and reserve. The other thing to note, I assumed we would be on a path separate from the road. But mostly we were on the busy Paris streets in a designated bike lane which is right next to the car lane. While I absolutely loved the tour and felt Simi kept us safe, I would probably not have done it had I known that. I think it’s just important to be aware of that. Simi was the very best tour guide and an excellent photographer!

Google
We had a fun and informative tour with our guide Jen. It was a great way to see Paris, as it’s spread out more than some other European cities we’ve been to. We’ve been to Paris a couple of times and we learned many new things on this trip. I would highly recommend this tour. And ask for Jen if you can, because she was truly fantastic.

Lucy S.

Google
Highly recommend this company. Lovely staff, fantastic tour with Ogulcan showing us some lesser known spots and sharing so many snippets of history and local stories. The bikes were great for getting round, lovely gentle riding in bike lanes and quiet streets. Loved it so much, will definitely use this company again. OG was a great guide, thank you!

Google
FULL DAY TOUR - Palace of Versailles. Nick led our tour. He was a great guide with excellent knowledge and a little bit of humour thrown in. Very relaxed day. Nick was always checking the group was together. Don’t forget to take cash to the markets. Or bring your cards to withdraw at the ATMs. Market vendors do have cashless but require a €10 min purchase. I found a bakery on the outside of the market that sold pre-made baguettes. I didn’t have a card so didn’t have cash. The fruit is fresh. The Palace was packed at 3:30pm. Really hard to walk around with other tour groups narrating each room. The cycling in the park around the palace was really easy and the picnic on the grass was relaxing. To see the palace garden was another €11/person. Great way to see the palace and hear about the history.

Google
Vladimir is an excellent guide. Intelligent, great sense of humor & kept our trip so fun and interesting . The e-bikes are a wonderful way to see so many incredible sights around beautiful Paris. 5 Star Tour ‼️

Google
Excellent experience with a very knowledgeable, friendly, and energetic guide. Versailles and the grounds are amazing and need to be seen to be understood. The bike tour was a really cool way to see more then you ever could walking. Jen(our guide) did a fantastic job of leading the group, providing tips and specialty gear we needed (like a tarp and corkscrew) for a very enjoyable picnic lunch, and had a lot of knowledge of the history of the events that took place during the French Revolution. Very enjoyable day for the family.

Just D.

Google
Great experience riding through the grounds of Versailles even with the rain that came halfway through our bike tour! Our guide Annie was amazing and full of historical, architectural and local knowledge. The inside palace show, walking through the gardens with mulled wine and fireworks at the end made it a spectacular evening.

Yelp
Our family of three (including my 11 yo son) chose the Paris night bike tour. Even though it's recommended for 12+, and is a late-night excursion, he's an excellent bicyclist and regularly bicycles in longer trips at home, so I knew he'd be fine, and he stayed up by the tour guide in front the whole time. We heard a lot of compliments from other tourists who enjoyed him, but beware, if your child is NOT a good bicyclist, or well practiced in bicycling, please do not subject other tourists to them-we heard a couple of horror stories of other bicycle tours where this was the case.) This bicycle tour was fantastic! The guide was knowledgeable and the locations were spot-on. Highly recommend if you (like us) only have a few days in Paris, as you can see so much on this tour! The sunset boat tour was absolutely stunning as we boated past the lit up Eiffel Tower, but my highlight was riding around the Louvre (also at sunset). Stunning tour was definitely a highlight!

Yelp
A fun way to go around the main tourist area of Paris and get a glimpse of the sights. As I go around Europe for work a lot, I am always looking for somethink to do different on down time, an easy bicycle ride on a beautiful day was a great think to do. I don't recommend this currently with all of the Olympic venues up. The roads are too congested and you can't get to some areas because of the street closures.

Yelp
If there's one touristy thing I'd recommend to do in Paris, it would be this bike tour! Even if you don't do the tour, biking around the City of Love & Lights is such an experience. We came a bit early since we had a lot of time to kill and the staff was nice enough to check us in early and let us use their restroom. Since we had an hour before the start of our tour time, they gave us a recommendation for a light snack and coffee just a 5 minute walk away. Coming back, we were able to get our bikes and test each of them out before setting off on our bike tour! Our tour guide was Chaitya (Chai for short!) and he was AMAZING. So unbelievably knowledgeable and charismatic. He is a student studying acting (I believe?) but you'd think he was studying history with the amount of stories and knowledge he had about Paris and it's rich history. Before setting off, he made sure we all knew his signals while navigating the Paris streets and while we were on the tour, he always made sure nobody was left behind the entire time. Biking around the city might be intimidating but with the amount of bikers and pedestrians in Paris, it wasn't too scary. Something about seeing the city on bike is magical, especially during Fall with the crisp air & sunny skies. We made several stops, learned and even got to take some photos in scenic areas along the way. I believe our tour was about 2 hours and it flew by. So grateful we had beautiful weather on the day we booked this tour!

Yelp
Cory was an amazing host and we had an outstanding time at Versailles! The biking in the area mixed with a great history lesson was fantastic.

Michael G.

Yelp
Great experience / nice way to see the sites while staying active. Tour hit all key parts of Paris we wanted to see which include a boat ride, gelato, and a route that got us moving a good distance around town. Andrea was our guide.

Kirit S.

Yelp
Our guide, Tess, was amazing. She did an amazing job guiding my family of 4 through 10 miles of bike riding through the streets of Paris during a Nighttime Bike and Boat tour, showing us pretty much every important landmark and many interesting neighborhoods. She would stop every now and then to explain the history and significance of what we were seeing, illustrating with colorful stories. Tess was also very hospitable during the boat ride portion of the tour. I'd be happy to take another Fat Tire Tour, possibly to the top of the Eiffel Tower with a fast pass.

Shelley S.

Yelp
Amazing Eiffel Tower tour led by Amir, filled with interesting and surprising facts and inclusive trivia. He made this tour incredibly fun and exciting. Great for all ages and a super great way to spend time with your family. Thank you, Amir! Would recommend!

Yelp
ThIs Tours was one of the highlights of our trip. What a fabulous three hours. We saw all the sides by bike and picture. Perfect weather. Absolutely loved our guide Amir. He was incredible so sweet and the Best photographer. I highly recommend this to her and will be doing it every time I visit Paris.

Yelp
My 15 year old son and I took the Versailles bike tour today with Cory. she did a great job making the day fun, informative and interesting. Yes, the main palace and grounds of Versailles are stunning and impressive, but we also really enjoyed cruising on the bicycles around the other parts of the town and property. She took us to an open air market where we picked up food for a picnic, and we ate a picnic on the canal with beautiful views. The other people on the tour were fun to talk to, and it was a very pleasant day. It was nice to have pointers from an expert plus some good stories and then at the end we toured the main Versailles Palace on our own. but taking a bicycle, we got to see so much more than if we have been walking. thanks, Cory!

Yelp
We did the Paris Bike Tour and it was the highlight of our trip!! Aaron was so wonderful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a wonderful guide with Rory, who made our day while we enjoyed the lavish Versailles palace and gardens! He went the extra mile to make sure we had an opportunity to see the Olympic torch as well. Such great memories with my family and another epic trip and tour with Fat Tire!

Yelp
Paris Versailles fat tire bike tour! amazing! 5 stars are not enough! a great leisurely ride through the countryside. first stop though is of course the outdoor market to pick up supplies for a wonderful picnic in the gardens near the lake. what will it be, so many choices! hmmm well a baguette is a must and of course cheeses and olives and a few cherry tomatoe, many a bit of meat, wait don't forget the wine and maybe a sweet treat! the guide, an amazing story teller with each stop a better story, Marie's "farm" so fun, watch out for the chicken... did I mention the amazing country pride and Omgoodness the picnic was so special. a cherished memory for sure

Yelp
We selected the longer tour with lunch. First off, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone we interacted with spoke excellent English. The bikes were well maintained and were selected based on height. After a quick test ride we left with two other groups for a total of 12 people with our guide. Our guide was an American student on an internship who was very affable and attentive to everyone and their safety. He had only been in Paris a few months. This was a little disappointing for my wife who had hoped for more local color and knowledge, but it did not detract substantially from the experience. The ride was quite easy with numerous stops for lights or sights and so it was not physically demanding for an early 50s couple and their not so active 14 year old. In fact, it was the highlight of the trip for our youngster. We liked it so much we tried to sign up for the night ride, but they were booked and it was our last day. We definitely recommend it just for another way of experiencing the city in a relaxed way.

Yelp
Did the bike tour at Chatteau Versailles with O.J. and had a wonderful time! OJ was an awesome guide who took time to get to know everyone and made sure we all had a great time. Would highly recommend this tour.

Yelp
This was the best tour I've ever been on and I highly recommend it as a way to see the city and palace of Versailles. I was on the Versailles Bike Tour, our guide was OJ also known "Turkish Delight." He gave an excellent experience. For those who want to experience several different experiences all at once, this is a great way to do so. It includes a tour of Versailles palace and its beautiful architecture, history, and artwork. We also visited a lovely farmers market where we bought supplies for a picnic lunch in the gorgeous Versailles grounds overlooking the lake and palace. We also visited Marie Antoinette's private home, garden, and "pretend village" that she made just to experience life as a normal person. Once we arrived in Versailles city, we got our bikes and used them all throughout the tour. The biking pace was leisurely and not overly strenuous. We biked some in the city but the majority was around the palace grounds away from cars.

Yelp
I'll keep this review short but first let me start off by saying I am not a tour type person. I like to explore things at my own pace BUT we did the Paris half day bike tour and it was the highlight of our entire trip! My daughter (age 12) and I had the best time. It was at the perfect pace...lots of stops for photo opps, good historical information, and literally flat road the entire time! Even a novice bike rider could do this tour. I loved stopping at the Tuileries Garden for lunch (on your own euro) Don't forget to get a photo of yourself on your bike in front of the fountain! Helpful Tips... -Request JACK for your tour guide! He was so much fun! I'll never forget his awesome jokes! -Book online and put the tour you want in your cart BUT do not check out just yet. Wait a couple days they will keep emailing you discount codes starting from 10% off, 15% then book it when you get the 20% off code! -Do not book a tour on the day you arrive in Paris. You will be tired and jet-lagged. Book tour on day 2 you will be more rested and it will give you a nice foundation of the city. -Book the Eiffel tower sunset tour. Seeing the tower light up at night is just magical and not to be missed!!! Plus with this tour you get to skip all the lines!

Yelp
I've done this tour 3 times and it has never disappointed! Dave was an incredibly knowledgable, funny, and friendly tour guide. He offered to take photos for everyone at each location. Highly recommend if you have a limited amount of time to spend in Paris. The 3.5 hour day time bike tour will take you to ALLLLL of the hot spots and teach you some fun facts :)
google avatar

Kris A.

Yelp
Wonderful tour! John, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He kept us safe. His knowledge of the history of Paris was never-ending. We would highly recommend this tour company and the bike tour.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I did the Versailles Bike Tour. Richard was our guide and he was fantastic. The history of Versailles was shared in an engaging and interesting manner. Breaks were well timed throughout the day and the sequence of locations visited is well planned. Versailles is amazing and Richard made the experience special. I highly recommend this tour and Richard. The host guided tour on bikes does allow you to see so much in the time

Katalina V.

Yelp
Amir was such a great guide. Our safety was his main priority, never once did I feel intimidated or scared riding a bike in Paris. We made 11 stops where he shared some history and fun facts. Also Amir is a really great photographer. Highly recommend this tour.

Yelp
These guys are very much the best Do you like being outdoors? Do you like biking? If you answered no to either of these questions, I'm not sure we can be friends, but if you answered yes, do I have the tour company for you. I did the Paris night bike tour many years ago and figured it was time to get back on. Bonus, as we were heading to Versailles this time around, we could find a fun way to check out the giant gardens. let me tell you, neither tour disappointed. Starting with Versailles - it's, admittedly, not my favorite place. I didn't do the gardens last time (mistake) and found it to be room after room after room of old beds and chairs...read; boring. This time was oh so different. We had a great tour guide who made the chateau fun and alive with history. The best part for me though was riding down to the local market, picking up lunch and wine, and then the ride back into and through the gardens. It really is a beautiful space, and being able to zip around on a bike was so so cool*. Note that we did this in reverse due to weather (it was to rain in the morning), not a huge deal but yeah, figured I'd mention Then there is the Paris night tour/wine boat. This really is one of my favorite things to do in Paris. This city is so fun to see on a bike. Not only is it beautiful, but it's exhilarating to be on the streets on a bike (kinda like riding in NYC but less scary). The tour guides are amazing and are always fun, but the joy of this tour is really just riding around and seeing the sites. Yes, you end up stopping and some of the main tourist places (the Louvre, Berthillon ice cream on Île Saint-Louis), but it's mostly just about riding around until you get on the boat. The boat is super fun too, touristy as it is. There's nothing quite like riding up and down the Seien at night and seeing the famous buildings lit up. They also supply a few bottles of wine, which makes everything even better. TL;DR, if you're in Paris and/or hearing to Versailles, both of these tours are worth doing. The staff who run Fat Tire tours are always fun and laid back, and as such both tours are engaging and chill. __________ *Even if I managed to blow a tire out - thanks again to the team for fixing for me as I casually ate lunch and drank wine....and if that's not Louis the 14th level living, I'm not sure what is.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because everything about this tour was absolutely amazing. --- --- --- Joseph was probably the best guide for any tour that I've ever taken. He was funny and informative - he basically felt like he was everyone's new best friend. Many of us asked him if he ever considered stand-up comedy because he definitely had everyone cracking up the entire time. Seriously, I really do wish he was my best friend. As for the tour itself - first off, I loved the bike. Certain bikes can really mess up my neck and back, but these were super comfortable, despite being on them for hours. I honestly wish I could buy this exact bike. There were a couple of places that I wished we had stopped at to snap a couple pics, but I made mental notes and we hit those spots up on our own, the next day. But we DID stop at a ton of places, and I really felt like there was no better way to see tons of Paris, in such a short period of time. One of our stops was Berthillon, which was possibly the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. I would have visited Berthillion anyway, based on the reviews, so it was just another reason that this tour was so awesome. At the end of the tour, we got on a boat and cruises up and down the river. It was the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day of bike riding, and the city looked so beautiful at night. It didn't get dark until around 10pm in early May, but once it did, the Eiffel Tower looked really amazing when lit up. I can't recommend this tour enough - it was one of the most memorable moments of our two weeks in Europe!

Yelp
We had a wonderful Paris Day Bike Tour with our guide JF. We had one child in tow in a trailer, and one child riding tandem -- both options were fabulous. JF was amazing at keeping the group together and helping us feel safe as we rode on bike lanes, trails, and roads. He was so informative and we loved hearing the history of such a beautiful city. We would highly recommend!

Yelp
The Paris bike tour was one of the highlights of my trip. It was a perfect way to see the sites and hear interesting stories and fun facts at each stop, including of course the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Les Invalides, Place De Concorde to name a few. It was a leisurely 3 hour bike ride with a break for lunch as well. The tour guide was American but he knew so much about French history and my fellow bikers ranged in age starting at 9 yrs old. So no need to hesitate if you think you're out of shape. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Rory and the entire team at fat tire did a great job. We learned a lot and had fun in the process. We enjoyed the bike tour so much, we came back for a Segway tour .

Bob M.

Yelp
We did the day time bike tour of Paris today. We had a great tour, and our guide, Eliza, made it exceptional. She was friendly, knowledgeable, fun, helpful and supportive of everyone, plus she had a great sense of humor. She was a joy to ride with. The rest of the staff were also extremely helpful and friendly. All around a great group, and very well organized. The bikes were 3 speed cruiser type bikes that were in very good shape. The tour was very enjoyable. Saw all the local high points and got a history lesson at each one. I'd highly recommend the group and the bike tour.

Yelp
My husband and I bought tickets for the Skip the Line Eiffel Tower tour with Fat Tire, which ended up being my favorite thing that we did while in Paris. We met up with our amazing guide Eddie a few blocks away from the Eiffel Tower, where he introduced himself, found out where everyone in the group was from, and then provided all of us with earpieces so that we could hear him throughout the length of the tour. As we walked to the Tower, Eddie ran through the history of the building of it with us, took questions from the group (and maintained a lot of patience as some people asked questions that he had already answered), finishing up with more history as we arrived outside of the line to access to the Tower. Prior to accessing the line to get up to the Tower, we were walked through exactly what we needed to remove from our bags to expedite the security line process - also as an FYI if you're wondering if it's worth it to get a skip the line ticket - the line to access the Tower was LOOONG, so being able to breeze through security and into the base of the tower was wonderful. We headed to the top of the Tower first, where some of the views/sights were explained to us (the headsets really did come in handy since we didn't need to be right on top of each other to hear what was going on, and then we were given time to explore on our own. The views were so breathtaking, and being able to see so much of Paris from such an iconic landmark was truly remarkable. We then headed to the second level, where we walked around the entirety of the perimeter and were told information about what we were seeing and were able to asked questions about various sights/views from this level. The views here were just as good as the higher level, and you could see certain landmarks more clearly. I cannot say enough positive things about Eddie - he was warm, his English is absolutely perfect, he had a tremendous knowledge of the history of the Eiffel Tower/Paris, and he was hilarious. Basically anything you could want in a tour guide, you found in Eddie. The tour stretched for longer than anticipated, never felt rushed, and gave us the best sights of Paris we could have imagined. It was such an incredible experience and we will absolutely be recommending Fat Tire to our friends and family, and using Fat Tire in future trips to Paris. Thanks again, Eddie, and Fat Tire for an unforgettable experience!

Yelp
This was the most fun that we had in Paris. Our guide, Thomas was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had been concerned about riding the busy Parisian streets on a bicycle, but Thomas was a great guide, whether in "domination " mode, or single file on the side of the road. We caught the 9 pm Seine river cruise and saw the Eiffel Tower sparkle twice on the hour! Thomas narrated the river cruise as well as the bike tour, giving us interesting historical perspectives all evening. I would definitely recommend this to friends and recommend they ask for Thomas! The only negative of the river cruise was my wife and I weren't overly impressed with the wine. Quantity was fine but taste was not to our liking. Possibly riding around for 2 hours had shaken the wine just a little too much! But this was a great time and I'd even consider another tour sometime.

Yelp
A MUST Do First day in Paris!! We had a super guide who taught us so much about the city's history and charm which in turn helped us decide how to spend the rest of our trip! English speaking tour so we had folks from Ireland, Canada, USA, and New Zealand which made chatting along the way loads of fun. Our guide helped us navigate the city like pros even though most of us were nervous about cycling through the streets of Paris. The folks here take care of everything- they fit you with the right bike and helmet and the guide makes sure you stop for the best photo opportunities along the tour. There's even a stop at a cafe in the middle of the tour to purchase a snack and visit with everyone. Love, Love, LOVE this company and the entire experience!!!

Yelp
The Versailles all-day bike tour was one of our favorite things we did in Paris. Eddie was our guide and kept us informed and laughing all day. We were able to see much more of the grounds and hear about the cast of characters that make up its history. One highlight was picking up fresh cheeses, meats, bread, etc. at the farmers market and then picnicking in the grass at Versailles. I would take the same tour again on our next trip it was so great!

Mike M.

Yelp
Just had a great time a few days ago on the 3.5 tour in Paris with my wife and daughter. A fun group and easy ride around the city, with a stop in the park for lunch. Our guide was very attentive, even with about 20 of us moving through the city, giving us some neat information about the main sites. A good pace and well run group. Completely worth the time and fee!
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
We did the Versailles tour about 10 years ago and loved it! We brought two of our kids back to experience it - but it is completely different now. It's a walking tour, not a bike tour. We walked over 10 miles that day - we walked more than we rode. You train/walk to the bike shop in Versailles and pick up the bikes. Then you ride around the grounds, have a picnic, and then drop off the bikes at the shop so you walk back to the palace. And that's it! They leave you once you get back to the palace and your are on your own to tour the palace then walk/train back to Paris. They don't "guide" you - we learned almost nothing about Versailles. Super disappointing.

Linda L.

Yelp
Fat Tire Bike Tours never disappoints!!! On our first tour with them several years ago, a bag was stolen and they not only helped recover it but they brought it to our hotel! We continue to be loyal to them and are never sorry. We just finished Versaille today and will do the Eiffel Tour later this week.

Yelp
This was the best Segway Tour, our tour guide OJ was the absolute best. He was very kind and helpful and provided so much history about this wonderful city. I recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you OJ and Fat Tire Tours!

Steven S.

Yelp
We booked an Eiffel Tower tour that was supposed to be two hours with an ascent to the top. our"guide" was a nice young man but didn't seem to know the Eiffel Tower either historically or where we needed to go for our tour. when we were told the summit was closed he said that the second plat form was as good as the top and it's not. Other than about his personal life I didn't learn one thing from him about the Eiffel Tower. I didn't pay what I paid to have someone walk me to the Eiffel tower when my hotel was 10 minutes away. Definitely not worth what I paid and I would highly not recommend fat tire yours for an Eiffel Tower tour to any one. Just go buy your own tickets and save a lot of money.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow!!! This was the most amazing bike tour ever!!! Highly recommend if you are visiting Paris!!! We met at the South leg of the Eiffel Tower for the Midnight Bike Tour (no reservations necessary). Look for the guys with the Fat Tire sign; they'll show up a few minutes before 7pm. The midnight bike tour included a 5 hour tour guide of Paris and the major attractions, an ice cream break at Berthillon Glacier (bring cash), a boat ride on the Seine River, and lots and lots of red wine on the boat! Our tour guide, Pete, was amazingly funny and did an awesome job of explaining the history of Paris. We had a few people in our group that hadn't rode a bike in a while *cough* (me!!!), but Pete made sure we all stuck together and everyone managed to stay in one piece. Seriously, book this tour!!! For 30 euros it is a bargain. You will see so much of Paris, eat the best ice cream cone in your life, see the lights of Paris while floating down the Seine, and drink several plastic cups of wine. This was our favorite night in Paris and we were so glad we took this tour! TIP: Bring your camera! We took so many amazing pictures, especially on the boat cruise.

Yelp
I booked two tours with Easy Pass during my stay in Paris, and I am very happy I did. They had a 20% off sale online which was perfect for our time in Paris. They do offer a 10% discount if you Check-In on Yelp on your phone. They also offered a 10% discount after purchasing your first tour to return for a second tour. I used Easy Pass Tours for the Eiffel Tower and Catacombs. I highly recommend using them for both tours and more. You do gain immediate access to both places, skipping the lines of people as they say. The best part was that they gave you a headset to listen to the tourguide. What a great feature! That way you are not required to be so close to the tour guide to listen to them. It gives you a little more freedom and the enjoyment of a "private" tour per se. The price of the tours are definitely worth it. If you have any questions, the tours are offered in English, and their headquarters office speaks English extremely well.

Yelp
Our 3rd bike trip. Today is Monét Garden Tour, in Giverny. Our last two over the previous 2 years were the Paris Day Tour and Versailles. The guides are amazing, knowledgeable, funny, entertaining. We will always use Fat Tire to explore on bikes when we do our visits to France or elsewhere, highly recommended!

Yelp
An afternoon bike tour through Paris is a great way to see the city. We took an afternoon tour and almost missed it. Our flight arrived late that day and after checking into our apartment, my 18yr old nephew and I had to literally run to the tour's meeting point. We got there huffing and puffing. Our tour guide had been expecting us, 'Are you Rodriguez?' When she saw that it was me and one other person she just automatically started referring us as the Rodriguez Brothers for the rest of the afternoon, even though Austin is my nephew and his last name is NOT Rodriguez. She didn't care, it worked for her. "Hey where are the Rodriguez Brothers?", etc, etc. We had to laugh about that. So the tour is a great way to survey the city and get a better idea of where you might like to go in the subsequent days of your visit. The tour was fun, and we felt very safe riding as a group through Paris.

Yelp
We did the Versailles bike tour and overall would recommend it, but there are areas that can be improved. Pros: - organized - they remembered we had a kid and had a bike trailer available and helmet - friendly tour guide + funny stories make history more interesting - smooth check in at Chateau Versailles/no line up at tour completion - good handling of technical issues - one guy got a flat and another broke his chain during our tour Cons: - group size too large - 20ish people is hard to manage and people go at different speeds/get stuck in lines. I had to rush through part of the Marie Antoinette buildings because I was last in the bathroom line up, for example. - awkward starting and stopping. There were several times when we would stop after less than a minute of cycling. Super had to get a good momentum. - cut down on time at the Versailles market (doesn't take an hour to buy food) and leave more time to explore the grounds and Trianon buildings Overall it was a good experience but could be even better with some tweaks.

Yelp
We took the Paris Day Bike tour with Dadou (David) and had a lot of fun. As with most bike tours, it's an efficient way to see many of the major sites in a short period of time (the Louvre was the only advertised stop that we didn't visit), with the bonus of getting some interesting commentary at each of the stops. Tour guides met everyone right at the Metro and walked us to the starting point. There was the choice between step-through or flat bar bikes. A rack of helmets was in the back of the shop, though helmets were never offered and almost no one took one. I did snag a helmet with a GoPro mount on it. That was pretty cool. One thing to note is that route on this tour can be a bit dicey at times. Unlike the London Fat Tire tour which is almost all in parks and off-street, the Paris tour had a lot more segments in the street. The reason this gets dicey is that French drivers do not yield. There was a very nice stretch along the Seine toward the end of the tour that I really enjoyed. Overall great tour. I'd recommend it.

Yelp
A friend recommended we try the Fat Tire bike tour while in Paris - she said the day and night tours we're both her favorite things that she did on her trip. We're not the "bike tour" type of people though...so by day 3 of walking all around Paris, our feet decided that we would try to become the "bike tour" type of people. Because of the great discount you get from booking the day and night bike tours together, you should just go ahead and do them both. I can tell you first hand that after doing one, you will want to do the other. Jack and Eddie were our tour guides. The day tour was our favorite of the two, but the value of the night tour is too good to pass up - you get wine & a free sunset boat tour on the Seine. All of the guides were so funny, nice, and knowledgeable. Really, the best way to see Paris if you don't have 6 weeks to walk around and explore everything! And your feet will thank you :)

Yelp
Easy way to skip major lines at the tower and get up to the summit. We didn't have tickets before we got here and when we went online to book directly everything showed sold out. We were able to book through Fat Tire, get a nice little tour, friendly and informative guide, and very easy. Highly recommend this tour for easier access and a nice time.

Yelp
We opted to do a guided walking tour around the Château de Versailles' surrounding gardens (which are a highlight - think the most immaculate, spectacular, amazing and beautiful gardens you will ever see in your life!). Bonus points about doing a tour: meeting our guide at a designated spot, with everything organised including our train ride out to Versailles, not waiting in line (mega highlight), and learning a lot about the history of Versailles, as opposed to just wandering around and not having a clue what you are admiring! We loved the tour, and Christine, our guide, was great. She gave us the low down on the history of Versailles, she talked about the four kings of France (funnily all named Louie) and pointed out to us the many statues, fountains and monuments. She was very humorous and kept us all interested. We were then given an audio guide to wander through the Château at our own leisure. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I found Fat Tire Tours Paris while watching Youtube videos refreshing my memory on Paris (we were last in Paris in 2005) where I happened upon a video of Julie & Crissa talking about the Metro. I was trying to find out more about the Montparnasse area where we were looking to, and eventually did, wind up staying. This random happenstance led me to looking up their tours. (I would suggest since they've rebranded their multiple companies into 1 name, they update some of their videos) I read many online reviews of Fat Tire Tours Paris and was impressed. I called Parker at their 800 number and she was incredibly helpful. I also talked to Casey and she was likewise super helpful. My wife did a bunch of online research (since we'd never heard of them) and was impressed, too. These things led us to book with them. We did: The Behind-the-Scenes Versailles Tour with Nassim The Latin Quarter Night Walking Tour with Janica The Classic Paris Walking Tour with Sonja We also purchased discounted Bateaux Parisiens Seine River cruise tickets that wasn't a tour, but just a 5€ savings per person over just buying them at the dock. Eva, the manager in the office was great to us, as well. We've been all over the world and we've done tours in many places. We've had great experiences, mediocre experiences, "WHY DID WE DO THIS" experiences, and some that were just bizarre... like the time we randomly were introduced to one of the biggest movie stars in Egypt, at a gas station by our tour guide. Nothing odd happened like that on our Fat Tire tours, but we had a great time. The tours were extremely well put together and well-paced. Having Sonja on our final tour really helped put that into perspective. We wound up being her only people that tour and she explained the mindset behind how Fat Tire puts the scripts for the tours together and how they focus on what to show their guests. It was great talking to her about it. We travel in a manner where we frontload any tours we do, so we can actually ask questions and use that info on our own later. All three ladies from Fat Tire bent over backward to help us in that manner. We really liked them all in their own ways. Nassim was a spunky, tiny ball of fire! Janica was the straight-A student who nailed her tour. Sonja was the one you wanted to hang out at the bar with all week. Each of them brought so much to their respective tours. If you visit Versailles, do the Behind-the-Scenes tour. It's sooooo worth it. The tours were small and skewed younger than most of the tours we've taken from other companies. That was nice. We're tired of being the youngest people on every tour. There were less than 10 of us total on the Versailles tour, just 5 of us on the Latin Quarter tour, and we had Sonja to ourselves on the Classic tour. I strongly suggest to anyone reading this to use Fat Tire. We found it to be a high grade company to work with and don't throw that around lightly. The ladies did solid work and also didn't do the organ monkey dance for tips. Although we also tip for good guides, we didn't get the annoying begging that the overwhelming majority of tour guides do for any random stuff they do. These guides deserved them and got them.

Yelp
My sisters/SIL/BIL bought tickets with Fat Tire Tours to skip the line at the Eiffel Tower, our tour guide was Jade and I 100% recommend her and the company, they were GREAT! I'm usually a backpacker and not one for tours usually but I'm SO SO SO glad I did this one. Jade was funny and full of super interesting information, she joined us all the way up to the top and kept the long line for the elevator fun and we were all having a good time despite being unable to skip that portion of the line (there is no tour that is allowed to skip the elevator line to the top), and once up at the top she actually led our group and several other tourists in singing Happy Birthday to my sister. She made our trip fun and we will always look on it with fond memories. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FAT TIRE TOURS if all there guides are as good as Jade, also: Fat Tire Management if you read this, give her a raise she was AMAZING!!!!

Yelp
Great relaxing ride and perfect to do first thing while in Paris. Good to get your bearings of the beautiful area. Our guide was from Scotland and was awesome. My only complaint is that they should group riders by their level. We were grouped us with 2,tandem and three bikes with carriages. This made the tour brutally slow. They need to group riders by their levels. If they fix this it would have been perfect!

Yelp
This was a highlight of our trip! Our guide, Thomas, was so informative and funny. I feel like I got to see so much of Versailles that I would not have seen if we had done it on our own. I would definitely recommend this tour.
