This café blends retail and dining, though the seating area is relatively small. We visited mainly for the food but left rather disappointed. The mushroom soup was watery and bland, and the Korean lemonade had an acquired taste (more sour than sweet) so it may not appeal to those wanting something refreshing and sugary. The croissants were average and unremarkable, while the chicken and mushroom baked rice was unlike anything we’ve had elsewhere.. and not in a good way. The rice had a glutinous, almost dumpling-like texture that didn’t suit the idea of baked rice, and it was overly salty with a noticeable hint of MSG. Much of the food also tasted as though it had been reheated in a microwave, leaving us unsure which parts were freshly prepared. Portions were on the smaller side, and the prices didn’t feel justified, even though we understand the rent in the area is likely high. On the positive side, they use a number-calling system for food collection, and orders are prepared fairly quickly.

My children and I went into the restaurant for a quick meal. I told to them to find themselves seats, while I went to the counter to order food. Just when I was ordering food, I turned to see that someone was talking to them, apparently to ask if they have gotten themselves food from the cafe. It was only like a less than one minute that they were seated and there were so many empty tables. Fortunately, they knew how to point towards me. My sons commented that the baked rice tasted better home-cooked. The chocolate yogurt sultana reeked a rancid oil smell and the oil had seeped through the paper bag when I left the zoo after two hours.

If you're going to call yourself a café, then your dishes should deliver! When I ordered the “Chicken and Mushroom Baked Rice,” it felt more like something straight out of a pre-packaged meal than a freshly crafted café experience.

Bought a packet of organic longan here. I tried one of the longan and found that it smelled off. I showed it to the staff for her to smell but she insisted that it was good. The flesh at the stem end had turned brown. It should be nicely translucent. I tried a few more and found that they were all like that, smelled sourish with brown flesh at the stem end. It is a pity I gave the entire bag of longan back to them before I took a picture. I didn't ask for a refund because the staff refused to acknowledge that the fruits were not fresh. She couldn't tell the difference between fresh longan and stale ones. So, just my bad luck I lost some money. I just hope they will discard the bad fruits and not put them back on the shelf to sell them again.

Was looking for brunch options and decided to check out this cafe. The mac & cheese is yummy, baked nicely, but portion is not big. Coffee not bad just that hot version is bit small cup. Sandwiches toasted just nice. Price wise i would say ok, close to neighborhood cafe pricing

This cafe is a gem find at the bird paradise. Food is freshly prepared (we had the egg croissant and latte - the egg mayo is delicious! It comes with a salad with juicy heirloom tomatoes and spinach leaves - well worth the price of the food) and the service staff are able to provide explanations about food when we had questions. The farmers market in the shop provided a good browse and the children playground just next to the cafe was a good find for the kid. It’s also a social enterprise :)

I had a really good experience at Unpackt! The bagel with freshly grounded peanut butter, decorated with berries (surplus from imperfect fruits) was my favourite. It was really tasty and addictive. The key lime tart was zesty and tangy while the matcha tart had a really strong tea flavour. The drinks we tried also tasted great, came with a super cute teddy bear, very IG-worthy. The Acai bowl is also a must try! Super aesthetics and it was served in a cute coconut husk. After dining, we could shop around at the retail section which was selling a wide variety of handicrafts and sustainable products. Definitely a unique and wonderful experience, will be back soon :)!

My child was hungry, so we stopped by to grab a snack and bought some tomatoes after one of the staff highly recommended them. While waiting for my child at the playground, the paper bag for the tomatoes leaked. I went back into the shop to ask for another bag, but the cashier was unexpectedly rude and reluctant to help with my damaged bag. The leak occurred due to condensation from the cold tomatoes, and it seemed they hadn’t considered proper packing for their customers, instead blaming me. It was an unpleasant visit, and the cashier’s attitude really spoiled my mood. Additionally, the heirloom tomatoes, which were recommended to be eaten like cherry tomatoes, were all very sour! Replied to unpackt I am not the lady who walked away; I am the lady you suggested I purchase a recycle bag from, but I requested another paper bag to double up.
