This café blends retail and dining, though the seating area is relatively small. We visited mainly for the food but left rather disappointed.
The mushroom soup was watery and bland, and the Korean lemonade had an acquired taste (more sour than sweet) so it may not appeal to those wanting something refreshing and sugary.
The croissants were average and unremarkable, while the chicken and mushroom baked rice was unlike anything we’ve had elsewhere.. and not in a good way. The rice had a glutinous, almost dumpling-like texture that didn’t suit the idea of baked rice, and it was overly salty with a noticeable hint of MSG. Much of the food also tasted as though it had been reheated in a microwave, leaving us unsure which parts were freshly prepared.
Portions were on the smaller side, and the prices didn’t feel justified, even though we understand the rent in the area is likely high.
On the positive side, they use a number-calling system for food collection, and orders are prepared fairly quickly.
