Another important community facility, that you should make the effort to visit, given its operated by a small team of dedicated volunteers. Entry fee was minimal. Lots of interesting displays, and we learnt about the Canary Girls, the back story of Shetland ponies and the history of peat collecting. Had fun with the VR goggles.

A great snapshot of history from Shetland. £4 will get you entry (2023). There is information pertaining to Vikings, Shetland way of life, WWII, Agriculture & Textiles. Allow 30 minutes to go through the exhibits. Restroom facilities are available for paying customers.
