Up & Away Ballooning

Why not 6 stars, Google? Mike, the owner and pilot was amazing and charming. We got to be a part of set up and watch the entire process from beginning to end. The crew was also amazing and charming. I thought Iight be scared but felt steady and safe the whole time. The view is incredible. We even flew about 6 feet over the tops of a vineyard! And a couple of glasses of sparkling wine at the end? Wow. I will remember this experience forever. Thanks, guys! Got me thinking about buying a balloon now! Lol

My flight was exciting, inspiring, unforgettable and full of laughs. I was especially impressed by pilot Armand and the ground crew. They were professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Watching their hard work was enlightening. I learned so much from Armand. I appreciate his patience. He answered the same questions from me and other passengers as if it was the first time it had been asked. The most important thing I experienced with the ground crew and pilot was a feeling of confidence. At all times, I was comfortable and felt safe. I sensed the same from the charming family on my flight. We had loads of laughs and many quiet moments. The flight itself was smooth sailing with vineyard and city scenery. I loved flying over Santa Rosa airport. Something very cool about hearing the control tower telling the little prop plane to wait for us to fly over. Our champagne brunch at the Shed was excellent. We sat outside by the creek. We had warm and professional service with over the top food. I will go back. You've got to fly with Up & Away Ballooning. They do it right.

This hot air balloon tour was amazing! It was about an hour long and not only do they ensure it will be nice (ie fog and weather) but the service here is amazing as well. It started early with coffee and scones, and ended with an excellent breakfast. The tour was scenic and a great experience to try!

We had a great time. Mike Kijak was a great pilot. This was a very special trip on our 20th anniversary.

Would give Up and Away more than 5 stars if I could. Mike and crew were great. I have a fear of heights but never once was I nervous. Mike was in communication with the air traffic controllers at the airport. He knew where to go with the wind currents. The ride was very smooth and especially the landing. Mike gave us some very informative history on balooning. After touchdown we were offered a glass of champagne and a souvenir glass to take home. I will never forget this ride. Highly recomended.

Our Up and Away hot air balloon ride was great. The experience start to finish was well-orchestrated and executed. Armand is funny, attentive and a skilled pilot. The whole crew was fantastic as was the communication received from the company. The early morning nibbles were dynamite and the brunch after was delicious and plentiful. The views were stunning and the ride safe and smooth. A gorgeous day and a fun family adventure.

Do not recommend, had scheduled and they called me the first time to cancel due to weather. Then the rescheduled day received two confirmation text messages one from company at 430pm and then at 530 pm from the pilot that we are confirmed and still going. We called the pilot and no answer. We show up and no one is there at 6 a.m. call pilot no answer. Found out at 8 am after we were supposed to fly that it was canceled. DO NOT waste your time with them!
