This was our first time stopping in. It was Friday night and super busy. Allison was our server and she was 5 star!! 10/10 recommended! The nachos were by far the best item we had out of all our dishes. Shrimp and grits were average (being from the deep south I'm a little biased), chicken quesdilla was average as well. But we would definitely eat here again and the same dishes. Thank you again Allison for your great service!

Here's another top notch in Greenville SC. This is our rooftop experience and is more than exceptional!!! Those appetizers were exquisite but our entrees aight🤷🏾‍♂️. I don't drink but but those mocktails were phenomenal. Our waiter was spot on with the menu and drinks. The view was absolutely gorgeous. This is a place to definitely take ur significant other on a romantic date. My Lady had graduated with her Master degree that afternoon and this is place she chose. The weather was so nice, we've walked there from our hotel. We located downtown and everything was walking distance. Looking forward to seeing you'll again in the future.

We didn't order any food so cannot rate that. Stopped by for a couple drinks due to the Elf'd Up on the Roof thing. Drinks were very good. Bar area is really tiny with not too many seats in the cold season. They have a great outdoor patio which has great views of downtown. Decorations was good for the theme.

Our experience did not start off great but thanks to Duke, the manager and our server, the night was a wonderful experience! We had a large party of 20 and had a reservation for outside. When we arrived we were told we were bumped due to a larger party. We were very disappointed. We specifically chose this location for the roof top dining experience. The hostess did not help the situation. I did not get her name…I’m hoping her attitude and passive aggressive manner is due to her being inexperienced. Duke came out and explained the situation, went over alternative seating, and once we were seated…he sent over nachos for the table! Throughout the night, Duke made himself visible and frequently checked in. Duke even brought out the chef! Our server, Allison, was great. She was patient, kind, and very informed. She is a fantastic server and handled our large party flawlessly! I only took a pic of the small meat and cheese platter…wish I took more! We had the nachos, Brussel sprouts, scallops, lettuce wraps, and so many more delicious dishes! No one was upset about their food choice. Drinks were great too! I had a Tito’s and unsweet tea…you could tell it had alcohol in it…which is nice! No watered down drinks! Overall, I’d recommend this place! They have an outside area that is first come first seated. Lots of tables and chairs all around the balcony. Would be a great date night spot! If you make a reservation for the other outside seating area, I’d call that morning to confirm you did not get bumped.

We had a great time went for a late lunch/drinks. Our service was great. The food came out hot and on time. The drinks were made right. The view was great of both mountains and city. A wonderful place to spend a sunset.

We had high expectations for brunch at this rooftop restaurant, but everything except for the view fell short. We were the first to be seated and the last to receive our food. French toast, with its beautiful presentation, bamboozled us about its bland taste. The French toast was overcooked. The chicken thigh was dry. Both Full Throttle Burrito and Grandma's Hangover Helper lacked flavor. Service was friendly but sparse. My daughter ordered extra bacon, and it didn’t arrive until she finished her French toast. The server didn’t notice that the bacon was missing until we pointed it out twice. Besides the beautiful view, the one bright spot were the delicious biscuits that were brought out before we ordered. However, we were told the biscuits were complimentary even after verifying if they were. Then, they showed up as a charge on our bill.

This place and its atmosphere for christmas never disappoint. Our server Alyssa was spot in her knowledge on the menu and her hospitality. All and all the food and drinks are both tasty and worth it. Ill be back next christmas 🎄

It is my first and last one. My server was bad at the beginning. Also, the glass on the table is dirty. When pour water I’m refusing because not clean, just ordered sparkling water. Thanks to Felisha. A new girl was taking care of me and saved my night. Food is ok. The place is good, I believe it's much best restaurant around to spend Good money.

Yelp
Up On The Roof is where the fun begins, located inside the Embassy Suites downtown Greenville. Up On The Roof boasts beautiful views from all angles way up overlooking everything. JOURNEY was our server, she did a wonderful job with our table. I ordered chicken quesadillas and they were some of the best I'd ever eaten. I also had brussel sprouts they had a very good flavor if I could change one thing I'd like them a tad bit tender, now this did not take way from the flavor at all. I'd definitely order them again. Although the sun was shining beautifully I ordered a Purple Rain in the cutest little bottle ever actually I ordered two :) Oh I forgot to mention the food came out super fast. Whenever I come to visit Greenville again I am coming here because I had a wonderful afternoon, great food, great service and great views.

Yelp
Great place. Great food. For Mother's Day a few weeks ago we took my mother here. Where to start... It was a nice clean atmosphere with a great view of the city. It was my mother's first time in Greenville and she loved the view. The food was amazing. We loved the calamari and biscuit appetizers as starters. They didn't last long on the table. Eating my breakfast burrito I got jealous of watching my son eat a mountain that was his nachos. I sadly didn't get to try any. He cleared the plate. The burrito itself was good, but the corn ratio could be lowered. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose indoor based on the weather that day. The only real ding would be the tables themselves. We don't have an option for a low table for my mother so I had to help her up and down from the chair.

Yelp
View is nice, hated my drink it has tequila so got it replaced with a reg margarita. It's really all about the view. Sorry to say service was slow even when it wasn't busy. Order the charcuterie board which was really good and had a variety of stuff, different cheeses meats and fruit and garnish. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was not crunchy but the fish was fresh. The slaw was ok and they are small portions. Ambiance 8/10 Service6/10 Food 7/10

Yelp
Trying Up on the Roof for the first time. We came at the tail end of restaurant week and after receiving the "Restaurant Week" menu and ordering, we were told that was not available during the brunch hours. We changed our order. The crabcake sliders were delicious, the French toast Holla Back Girl left so much to be desired. They were out of strawberry compote that's a key component of the dish. The toast was overdone. The chicken was dry. When brought to the manager's attention, there wasn't much he could do so it really impacts how our experience is being received.

Yelp
3.7 for the food. 5 for the views. I made a reservation online for 6pm because of sunset views but decided I didnt want to be downtown at that time. I made the right choice. You can either street park for free and walk if its close enough OR you can pay to park across the street for a few hours. The restaurant is at the top of the Embassy Suites Hotel. Take the lobby elevator to the first floor then take the guest elevators to the roof. The food could've been better as my asparagus was hard to cut with the butter knife provided. The sparkling rosé was wonderful.

Yelp
A regular stop for me while I'm in downtown Greenville. Tonight was extra special because Charis & Lily were making craft cocktails and serenading the bar. Literally Hand juicing the mixers. Tons of servers, fast service. And one of the best views in Greenville!

Kemia B.

Yelp
Service was a little slow but understandable for a Saturday brunch food was great with the exception of the biscuit being kind

Yelp
SAFETY HAZARD ALERT! I usually enjoy this rooftop for the restaurant but this time we went for after dinner drinks. Complete disaster! Tonight my chair leg got stuck in the gap between the tile on the outside patio and I fell backwards on the ground. Luckily I didn't hit my head but this could happen to someone else and they could really hurt themselves which is absolutely not okay. The worst part about this situation is when we told the wait staff they said they knew about the gaps on the floor and did absolutely nothing to warn us before sitting down. And they also didn't even care that someone fell backwards on the ground at their bar. A manager was never sent over and no one from the staff came over to check on me to see if I was okay. When you have people drinking on a rooftop safety has to a priority. This could have been a disaster accident and thank goodness I wasn't injured. Not worth it for the drinks they have anyway do NOT get an espresso martini here it was a watery consistency and no foam top. I also don't like that they pre-make cocktails especially for the price you're paying you should at least get a fresh drink. If this place didn't have the view it wouldn't have a nightlife which is sad because it is beautiful up there. You can tell it's losing people's interest when a group of 6 can walk right in and grab multiple tables at 10:30pm on a Saturday night. The other popular restaurants downtown were slammed which is why we came here in the first place. I'll stick to only coming here for the restaurant thank goodness they have good food!

Yelp
Dirve an hour for brunch. Started with a spicy bloody mary good but could be spicy-er. The fried calamari was cooked perfectly but enough for 4 people. The chicken lettuce wraps were crispy and thin. The sauce was great and not overpowering. Pickled onions were perfect. BLT was HUGE! The bread was strangely overloaded and hard to chew but plenty of thick tomato and bacon cooked thru not chewy. The smash wagu burger was sorta strange. First you think smash burger two smaller burgers thin and crispy hence the 'smash' and these were much thicker and the wage bacon burger was very dry. Taste was chargrilled and ok but disappointing. Now, I must say DO NOT PASS UP THE SHRIMP AND GRITS- HOLY SHIT BATMAN THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! 6 huge shrimp not overcooked. And the grits and sauce wowwie. Enough to share or bring home but will come back just for this!!! Not instant grits. Creamy and well seasoned too. We added a fried egg that wasn't runny but we didnt care because the grits and shrimp were absolutely perfect!! Sweet tea was perfect. Oj was served cold and not mulch pulp if any.

Yelp
Friends invited us to dinner last night and we chose Up On The Roof. I've been here before but it had been a long time ago. Located in the Embassy Suite hotel downtown Greenville, SC, this spot offers beautiful views of the city from a rooftop perspective. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, a bar and rooftop seating with plenty of windows and open spaces to enjoy views of the downtown area. To our surprise we came during restaurant week...don't was pretty busy. Our dining selecting included the Trout, Chicken Flatbread, Lobster sliders and Cobb Salad. We ordered Brussels Sprouts for an appetizer. The men orders Peach Cake for dessert which they thoroughly enjoyed. Up On The Roof is a great place for a meal, a birthday party, and a space to have drinks with friends.

Yelp
It took them forever to assign us a server. We got impatient and went to ask a front door girl, but she acted like she's offended. Very rude The food is ok. I liked my scallops but the pasta that comes with it was not great. Calamari is over fried, very dry. If you come for the view, the chance is probably you won't really see the view during your meal.
google avatar

Krystal G.

Yelp
We came here just for a few drinks. The staff and patrons were all very nice. They were pretty busy but we were invited to sit on the couches with a group that was already there. Drinks were decent. The Charcuterie Board was very tasty and shared between 4 people. Not bad for the price either! It was interesting watching all the drones fly above in the sky that night lol. We had a comfortable and relaxing night.
google avatar

Yelp
I only had one cocktail here, because it wasn't great I didn't opt to order a second. I had the bottled "Smoke & Mirrors" which basically comes pre-made in a small coke bottle and lacked any distinct flavor, or ice. Overall, pretty disappointed and also $14 (without tax or tip). However, I guess this is one of those places you don't come for the drinks, you come for the amazing views of downtown Greenville, on their outdoor rooftop patio. There were nice seating groups on the patio and some of them included fire pits.

Yelp
Had a reservation at 630 got seated at a dirty table outside. We decided to switch table. But then went back inside cuz it was so hot outside. Went to bar area. Took 10 minutes for someone to talk to us. Server was nice but thought he could take our order without writing everything down. Strike one. Came back a minute later to make sure he remembered everything correctly. He didn't. My wife ordered vodka soda. He thought she said tequila. The drink tasted like nothing. No vodka. Strike two. She got the " flash fried" Brussel sprouts and cauliflower which came out soggy. I got the calamari which was very tough. Also I ordered crab cake sliders which were cold and falling apart. Fries were worthless. Came out in a mini fryer basket cold and smashed. They didn't charge us for the food. But $12.95 for a low end vodka soda. Strike three. We gone. Very disappointed. Great view though.

Yelp
Terrible service and drinks! Food is ok. Such a shame because the view is beautiful!

Yelp
There is a lot to this review but the main issue we had tonight was that my pregnant wife was served an alcoholic drink and was told adamantly that it was NA. She had ordered a Paloma while I had some spicy tequila cocktail. She was handed the margarita style drink and was told, it tastes like there is alcohol but there isn't any in there. I was given the virgin Paloma which I immediately tasted just straight grapefruit. I asked the waitress numerous times and was assured the drinks were correct. My wife drank a very small amount of the cocktail before we realized the mistake. The waitress, while nice, was defensive and made slightly passive comments about how she understands not wanting to drink alcohol while pregnant. No apology was given. I wanted to say something, but the pregnant birthday girl didn't want me to make a scene. The food was lack luster at best. The crabcakes I had ordered were lukewarm at best and almost chilled in other spots. The wife's jumbo shrimp were overcooked and had the texture of rubber. Will definitely not go again. No apology for giving an obviously pregnant woman a drink, even if they did their "due diligence". I understand accidents happen, but without any sincerity or apology, calling it an accident means nothing to me. Which they didn't

Yelp
No one has tripped over the loose tile squares on the roof? My wife did and almost fell on her face but thankful she caught herself. Other than that the service, atmosphere, and drinks were good.

mary r.

Yelp
The view and the ambience can't be beat. The shrimp tacos and the calamari were way too spicy. The quinoa was so salty that it was unbearable. The cocktails were delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive!
google avatar

Yelp
The pop up bar was really fun...best part for us was we were the only ones who seemed to know about it so we had the best time up there. Fantastic views, especially at sunset. Great spot for a date or to hang with some friends.

Yelp
We had made reservations here when my friend was coming into town for brunch. We're from Florida and love a good rooftop style atmosphere or bar. There were heaters outside which is great for when it's cold out. They ended up being stronger than needed, and we were able to have it turned off. The restaurant offers a bottomless mimosas option for $25.00. I started off with the Apple Cider Donuts, and my friend ordered the deviled eggs app. My donuts were amazing! They had a drizzle of something over it taking the donuts up to another level along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I would take this over birthday cake any day of the week. My friend said her deviled eggs were very good and flavorful. Each one was topped with something different. My husband and I ordered the Cobb Salad. The dressing that came with it was supposed to be green goddess. It wasn't green, and for me, it tasted like ranch. The chicken was seasoned well and had good flavor, but overall, the Cobb was just okay. The presentation was nice. My friend ordered the "Just poutine it out there." The whole bottom of the skillet was sitting in a ton of oil. She ended up sending it back and opting for two fried eggs over medium with bacon. The bacon was nice and crispy, but the eggs were very runny in her opinion. The view was beautiful, and they played amazing 90's and 2000's music making me feel all nostalgic and very happy inside. For me, that was the best part outside of my donuts. The other side of the roof had a view of the mountains and a fire pit which looked nice having a drink sometime and chillin'. Our waiter was nice, but not very attentive and we seldomly saw him. I can't say I would return for food. They have one omelette option and no way to create your own which I think is a fail. I think it would be a cool place to hang for drinks. Getting up to the roof can be confusing. You need to go to the lobby, and use the elevators past the hotels front desk check in to get to the roof.

Yelp
Would have given 2 stars but our server Teanna was amazing! She was very attentive and provided everything we requested. I honestly couldn't believe she was working such a large party on her own, but she killed it. Came here with a reservation for a birthday party. Tables did not accommodate the party size, but Teanna made sure we had enough chairs and offered an extra table once the guests beside us had finished. Rooftop has a very nice view! A large ceiling fan was turned up, which kept us cool after we had already been sitting and sweating for an hour :) Drinks were so mediocre. I had the purple rain and it tasted like watered down juice! Did not taste a lick of coconut rum. Neither did I taste lime juice, or mint -- some of the listed ingredients. So I guess it tasted mainly like blackberry syrup. $14 wasted. Nachos (shared with a friend) tasted like they had been sitting! Queso was cold. Chips were far from crispy. Chicken was the "chef's daily meat" and was grilled and so unimpressive. Although, it was tender. Lettuce was shredded in a way that made them look like long noodles, hated that. Teanna offered us to have them remade, but we just asked for some HOT queso. She also brought fresh chips that we didn't ask for. Loved that. They're called "Nacho Average Nachos" when in fact, they are very average nachos. Another $18 wasted. I wish Teanna had more help when getting checks because it took a very long time for her to get everyone's together (not her fault though). Or maybe they should invest in the handheld devices. Maybe this was an off day. I may try this place again.

Yelp
I stayed at the Embassy Suites Greenville Downtow Riverplace, and UP on the Roof is located there. I decided to check it out since it was rated pretty highly, and from my room it looked super cute. I had not too long ago had a big breakfast, but had just come from exploring downtown on a beautiful day, so I wanted a little snack. I went to the bar and ordered the delicious apple cider donuts and the yummy truffle fries....and of course a drink! They have a full bar, but a cool list of cocktails! I sat at the window seating area in the bar area and enjoyed the view and all the Christmas decor. The staff was friendly and attentive. It started to get pretty busy a little after I arrived and my food took longer than I expected, but it was worth the wait.
google avatar

Kayla P.

Yelp
The food was very good and I'm sad that the overall service was so not. We had a reservation 5/11 for 6:30 and when we got there there was no outdoor seating so we had to wait 30-40 minutes for a table to come available. That in itself wasn't the worst part, but we didn't choose that location "on the rooftop" to sit inside so we chose to wait. So once we're seated, we waited OVER 45+ minutes to get our food. I say "over" because it took awhile for me to decide to time it! This is not including the wait time to order. This was after ordering before our food came out. Our waitress was nice but not very present. When we got her we called her from other tables she was seating/serving. My guy's sliders were overcooked and that was disappointing for him. My flounder was cooked and seasoned perfectly, however though the corn with it was minimal. I am not sure if we'd go back.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
The Food was outstanding, very flavorful and seasoned just right. Really nice atmosphere, everyone seemed to be relaxed and the alcohol flowed. The service was A-1 and the sight at night of the city is a must see. Less expensive than Ruth Crisp with a better view.
google avatar

Christine A.

Yelp
Came here for date night and sat outside on the rooftop with my fiancé. Ambiance was great, cool vibe and nice views. Service was very slow, no one came over to us for at least 15 minutes and took a long time to get our drinks once we did get to order them. Got calamari which was only lightly battered and had great flavor. Also got the fried chicken lettuce wraps, would definitely recommend those as well. We split the pork ribs as an entree, they were horrible. Taste was so full of Smoked paprika and maybe chili paste, dry to the point that we had to try to saw them apart with a knife. I'm not sure if that's how they usually come prepared and cooked but would not suggest anyone get them. Would go back for cocktails, especially at sunset but would probably not go back for any food.

David J H.

Yelp
$32 for a tall Hendrix and tonic is absolutely criminal and hilarious for Greenville, also not informing a customer on this charge while ordering is also offensive. -2 stars out of 10. Terrible experience
google avatar

Marita S.

Yelp
We sat outside where they had a covered patio and heater. Very nice set up with lovely city views!!! The spicy mussels in coconut curry sauce was excellent...so delicious!!! Shrimp and grits was also delicious and plentiful- quite filling. One snafu unfortunately, they didn't put in the order for my friend's pork ribs entree. We had to remind the server about it. My friend ended up getting her meal as a takeaway since the rest of us were finished with our meals already. That was a huge disappointment!! Otherwise it would have been a positive dining experience for all of us.

Jessica P.

Yelp
This was a hit in every aspect! What a great way to celebrate a birthday weekend. Our entire table loved our food, drinks, and the amazing view. The service was also very attentive and entertaining.

Denny S.

Yelp
Exactly what we were looking for on a sunny day in Greenville. Very little signage in the Embassy Suites lobby to help us find the way to it. But, once up there, everything thing was great. Great service. Food was good. And the view!!!! Didn't really want to leave. But, other engagements called. Can't wait to go back!! And, we'll stay in the Embassy Suites next time.
google avatar

Marlene K.

Yelp
Rooftop bar atop the Embassy Suites hotel. Stopped in for a drink and a view. There was a table by the glass walls that was piled high with dirty dishes, empty glasses and menus all over the seats. We grabbed a barstool and sat right behind it so the server could clear the table. While we were waiting, some inebriated guy came and pushed through and sat there instead. As the server came to clean off the table, she noticed he was smoking and politely informed him he couldn't smoke and he chose to debate her over it. It ended with him flicking his lighted cigarette over the glass wall to the ground below, seven stories up. She left a bit flustered and he stumbled away shortly after, maybe to go down and retrieve that lighted cigarette from the sidewalk? We sat down and she later came to clear the table and take our order. While cleaning, she took a substantial sized wooden toothpick and flicked it over the wall to the sidewalk 7 stories down. I looked, and the only thing down there was the sidewalk, no hidden trash can to be found. So weird! The drinks were ok, you clearly come here primarily for the views. There were some cute dogs sitting the next table over, so they're apparently pet friendly, so that's nice for us doggo lovers.

Laura P.

Yelp
Good location but the service was incredibly slow. Our reservation was at 6:30 and when we arrived the place wasn't crowded at all. The staff was not very friendly and our server was very slow. When they delivered our food she never even came back to check on things. The next time we saw her was when she returned our card after paying. I had the cod and it really lacked any flavor. We will not be going back. I can see where the atmosphere could be cool when it gets dark but I just can't imagine how the service will be when they get busy.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Greenville to visit a friend and the first place we went was here! She said she and her bf go all the time for brunch and to hang out on the rooftop, and it didn't disappoint! We each got the eggs Benedict and her bf got the breakfast burrito, we also got a few cocktails and everything was really well done!
google avatar

Jeannie M.

Yelp
This spot made my drink horribly. Not mixed well At All. Being a former bartender...this was awful. Waitress is (still sitting here) very rude. ALL ALCOHOL SALES ARE FINAL, she barked. She had ice and sweetener added. Now I'm paying $14 for chilled syrup. Would not recommend. We were going to get dinner. But after this, definitely not here. Leaving and going where service is better View was nice.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Severs sometimes lag a little getting to you but other than that worth it for the food and atmosphere. Great to come with friends, co-workers or for date night.

Yelp
What a beautiful night in Greenville to grab a bite on the roof top right.... Wrong. From the minute we got there it was all wrong. From trying to find this restaurant, very poor signage to getting seated. We especially picked and made reservations to eat outside on their roof top. When we entered there were maybe 4-5 other couples there. Hosted asked do you want inside or outside. Outside please it's a beautiful night. Oh I'm sorry we expecting two large parties so we only have inside. Then why did you ask? So inside we went. I asked to be seated at least next to a window. Inside there was only one other couple. The windows are set so high the only views you have are the AC units of the buildings next door. Now time to order. I ordered a drink that wasn't on their menu but had some of the same ingredients of some that were. After ten minutes goes buy they come by and tell me that they ran out of the liquor needed to make my cocktail. So no drink. Order our food. It came out in a reasonable amount of time but it was over spiced fries (tasted too much pepper) and my lamb sliders were super dry. Took it home to my dog. Threw out the potatoes. When leaving the restaurant the floors by the elevator was so sticky my shoes were sticking to the floor. I'm not impressed with this place in the least. Only redeeming factor was at least the waitress was sweet. Don't think we'll be returning even after this place was highly recommended. What a disappointing evening out.

Nate K.

Yelp
I visited twice, we really enjoyed the food and view/experience! The prices are reasonable for the atmosphere/good food. On our 1st visit, the waiter wasn't very good. He hardly checked on us and was mostly absent. No problem, I gave a smaller tip. The service was better on our 2nd visit, but nothing to write home about. Given how good the food is, reasonable the prices are, and how beautiful the views are, I can overlook mediocre service. Great spot for date night!

Chad L.

Yelp
Outdated.. poor service. The tables are so old and sticky. Apparently understaffed. Just a big disappointment. The place has just not been well kept over the years. We were leery about ordering food it was overall so dirty.
google avatar

Christopher D.

Yelp
Can't speak to the food but the drinks are great. It's my favorite spot for drinks in Greenville and you can't beat the view!
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
Disappointing. Extremely poorly planned dinner service by management. Had reservations for Christmas Eve for two. We felt so bad for the waitstaff. The kitchen and bar were unprepared for the demand. We expected some delay due to being a holiday, but waiting over an hour to hear our dinner order was at least 4 tickets out from being started is just bad management. We told her to cancel our order, and then I was presented my entree with the caveat my husband's wouldn't be ready for a while (see above time line). We politely declined his, paid for our bill, and tipped our waitress 60%. There were several other tables doing the same. Management, if you can't accommodate that many people, please review your procedures and plan accordingly. Again, the waitstaff was really trying to keep up, but they didn't have the proper support.
google avatar

Rick G.

Yelp
This place is a total sh)t show. Annoying bar music, seats are taken away from the bar after 9p. They aren't integrated into the Hotel itself, so you can't room charge. I should have went to Ruth's Chris (again). Better ambiance.

Yelp
Didn't even make it to the restaurant, I was looking forward to our reservation tonight. I have heard all the rave for this establishment. We had a reservation And I received a text message that their outside seating was half closed due to a private event. So outside seating was limited, so another words we would not have be seated outside , isn't that the whole reason why you go to eat their , because you can sit outside and watch the sun set and it's just romantic. We are extremely disappointed, in the whole situation. I understand about the private event happening. But why not text reservation people first thing in the morning instead of waiting until most of the day was gone. After this situation I don't know if we would ever make another reservation here. When I called to speak to someone about the outside seating being limited . It was an automated recording that I was supposed to respond to the automated message. So I couldn't even talk to a real live person and and ask questions about the current situation . I'm just disappointed that I didn't even get to speak to a live person. So all in all, We are just very disappointed in the whole situation. This reservation was made last week. Not just today!

Yelp
We had a large group of 8 that ate in the restaurant part (not the bar) of Up On The Roof. It was convenient because we were all staying in the hotel (Embassy Suites on the River). The place is charming with beautiful old bricks and low lighting. It was packed because of the Peace Center having a concert that night and it was one of the only restaurants open on a Monday night on the river. The atmosphere was happy and festive and our servers were young and wanted to please. They checked on us regularly and did an excellent job taking our orders, bringing our water, drinks and food in an orderly and prompt manner. We ordered and shared the following: Calamari-super spicy and overly fried. Most of the men in our group thought it was too spicy. I like spicy so no problems for me. Roasted Brussel sprouts- best appetizer. Tangy, crispy and yummy. Chicken flatbread-had a weird aftertaste and not pleasing to the palate.(2 of us felt that way). The crust was soggy and toppings had no flavor. Strange. Nachos- pretty good but needed more cheese.90% chips with 10% toppings. Chicken wrap ups- super spicy and chicken was not chopped but chunky. Flavorful but just ok. I liked the spicy! French dip-large and huge portions of meat in this sandwich. Very good. Beet salad- a complete mess. Came in a bowl and was swimming in liquid like a soup. Really not appealing and tasted very strange. The beets were chopped up very small and mixed with Gouda cheese, pecans and some weird dressing. But the consistency was like a soup. Strange. Cobb salad- my friend ordered and it looked fresh, HUGE and amazing. She loved it. We have been here before and sat by the bar and had a lovely and fun time with great apps. We will come back again knowing they may have had an off night due to the concert and large amount of people eating at one time. The views from the roof are fabulous and great for a romantic night out or just with friends! You be the judge!

Yelp
Service was great, Thank you Tori! Started off with Brussels Sprouts, yummm then ended with huge juicy Smashburgers. View is nice, restaurant is clean and lots of things to look at.

Yelp
Really wish we could rate this higher but the service was 1.5 hours till we got our food, and when it arrived it was disappointing all around, greasy calamari, salty chicken sandwich, dry and salty flatbread, overcooked wagyu, no refills, and they never came with requested dressing. We ate outside and it is the ONLY reason we give it 3 stars it is a fun atmosphere. Beautiful view and warm enough for everyone. Bring a hat to combat the sun and have reservations!

Yelp
Great space to relax and converse with friends. We did a midday happy hour- drinks delicious, fire pit was cozy and the view of downtown

Yelp
Came on a late Friday night. They offer valet at a cost. Scenery and view was gorgeous on the outside terrace. I was with a larger group and it took a while to receive our food. Some plates were lukewarm. I tried the shrimp tacos 2/5. Tastes like it was made with cold shrimp salad in between a tortilla. A few people had the chicken at the table and said it was good. Also tried the purple rain drink 3/5. Presentation was cute but the drink wasn't anything to brag about. They did give good shot pours. I would revisit for drinks and ambiance not so much for the food.

Yelp
So the view is amazing... The vibe is cool..lots of people ..locals, tourists. It's all good .. so the prices reflect the view and Vibe I am totally understanding of that. The vibe and view is a 4.5. Why the 2 star rating... The drinks we ordered..... Initially my companion ordered a mojito ... There is an essential ingredient in the "muddled mint". The drink arrived and initially it looked like a margarita...why? Lime only....no muddled mint...and per the waitress..they were out of mint..but made it anyway... WTH? Fyi sent it back and got Crown Royal neat. My drink was a specialty Ukrainian Mule... It was ok...lime,ginger...and minimal alcohol. When I ordered a second drink.... different from the first .....the waitress again brought another mule.... She apologized and went to acquire my correct drink. Food -- I ordered the lettuce wrapped ahi tuna with avocado and pickled onions.. the idea was good but ...lettuce was really wilty, and I didn't notice right away...but there was no avocado. The other food was a watermelon, tomato, goat cheese salad and added salmon. It was all pretty good ... The only complaint was the salmon.. not the taste. But the size of the piece was 1/2 the size of women's fist.. for $10 extra... It was tiny. And to top it off we ordered a dessert... And we waited and waited... It never arrived. We paid the bill for the view and left. Go for the view, a simple drink and consider leaving for another location!

Yelp
Excellent view, sliders were tasty but a bit overdone, the suggestion of the wine was pretty good and so was the dessert. Only one constructive criticism- table should be cleared before bringing the main course and not during, overall good experience

Yelp
Only good thing is the view. Went Sunday not only were the tables & floors filthy we left after 30 minutes because we weren't waited on. Wish there was a zero star option
