Don’t hesitate, come to Roberts Creek! From the first moment you feel comfortable, like at home. It’s clean and cozy. Martin, the owner, is just an amazing person and incredible host, and Maya, one of the staff members she has become a dear friend. Definetly one of the best hostels I’ve been in Canada. Is not necesary to have a car, I came with public transport from Vancouver looking for hikes and relax in nature and beach

The house is very cozy and clean, in a very quiet area. It feels like home. The staff is also very nice. However, I would like to mention that the dorms don't have what is now "basis" in most hostels : lockers, privacy curtains, some shelves (but you do have several clothes hangers)... So you're basically sharing a room with 7 people, gender mixed, like if you were siblings. My first night was good, the second was terrible! Also, I think at least one extra bathroom would be good (there is one upstairs and one downstairs). Also, I would have appreciated a commercial gesture for bringing 2 more people to rent the cabin on my first night, since I was interested in this cabin for my second night.

Martin's hostel is a 10/10. The location is amazing, easy to get to, and so close to cafes, the pier, and sunset beaches. The building itself is so lovely. There's lots of nooks to cozy into; hammocks in the front, a glass ceiling dining area, cozy breakfast couch, and living room with tons of seating, books, and a fire place. The bunk bed room is clean, the outlets are a bit hard to reach if you're at the top, but mattresses are super comfy. Bonus: free bike rental for local exploring! Martin is a great host, so welcoming and helpful. He helped me recover forgotten items after I could no longer return to get them. Highly recommend this gem!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Up The Creek Hostel on the stunning Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada, and it was nothing short of a five-star experience! First and foremost, the hospitality of the staff was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of welcome. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, offering valuable local tips on where to explore and providing assistance whenever needed. It truly felt like I was staying with friends rather than at a hostel. The interior of Up The Creek Hostel is an absolute delight. The cozy atmosphere enveloped me as soon as I stepped through the door. The common areas were tastefully decorated with a rustic charm that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the Sunshine Coast. Whether I was lounging in the comfortable living room, preparing a meal in the well-equipped kitchen, or enjoying a book in one of the snug corners, I felt right at home. What truly sets this hostel apart is its enchanting exterior. Nestled amidst lush greenery, Up The Creek Hostel offers a serene and tranquil environment that feels like a hidden oasis. The beautiful garden and outdoor seating areas allowed me to unwind while taking in the beautiful morning. It's the ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee. In summary, Up The Creek Hostel on the Sunshine Coast exceeded all my expectations. The outstanding hospitality of the staff, combined with the cozy and charming interior, and the enchanting exterior, created an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of British Columbia's natural beauty. I can't wait to return to this hidden gem on my next visit to the Sunshine Coast!

What an absolutely delightful place! The house is one of the coziest I have ever lived in. The fireplace and the cushions made the perfect setting for the evening to sit and play games, read books or just chat. It's super close to Sechelt and Gibsons but in a very peaceful neighborhood. Martin is an amazing host. They have a lot of board games of their own and other stuff like cycles you can borrow. Totally recommend!
