We stayed here for 4 nights. Worked out really well for me and my daughter as I had to do a little bit of work in the early mornings (6-8am) and the kitchen and communal space on the 5th floor was perfect. Even took one of the morning calls from the outside deck area. The room itself was large, had a desk and a little seating area with 2 lounge chairs and a small table, a fridge, and a wardrobe. Slippers we're provided and there was a whole row of hooks to hang stuff like bags, umbrellas, etc. We were on the 4th floor and there was an elevator to bring our luggage up. 2nd floor had 2 washer/dryers - free to use but had to buy detergent at the convenience store around the corner. Super close to the metro - just around the corner. Convenience store, Olive Young, coffee shops and lots of restaurants.close by. Not as crowded and definitely not as touristy as Myeongdong. Only nit is the musty smell of the room but after 2 minutes in the room I guess we got use to it and didn't notice.

Grounds For Clarity

This was our first time staying at a hostel, my friend and I. The location was perfect for us: plenty of access to grocery stores, convenient stores, public transportation. The upstairs kitchen, though we didn't use it, looked beautiful, clean and ready for use. We stole glances of it when going to the 5th floor reception for check-in questions and to see if we could get assistance to hail a cab when checking out. About a quarter to four, my friend and I still hadn't received our room information (booking told us we would get it around 4 p.m.). Friend called customer help and they said to go to the 5th floor. They gave us a room right away. We checked in the room and we immediately noticed the smell of mildew. The mildew and mold smell wouldn't go away in spite of using air conditioning and using the bathroom fan. Upon check out, we went to the 5th floor for help with hailing a cab. No one was present, however, there was a note on a landline telephone at the desk. Friend called and they said no one was working today so they couldn't help us. The rating really reflects the strong mildew odor permeating the room and bathroom and mold in the bathroom.

I rent a month here and it was not the best Check-in time is ridiculous (16.00)??? The room is not clean well (when I wipe my white towel on surfaces I can see it turned black) Also some minor problems like they didn't provide basic hygiene things like shampoo, body wash, towels, and toothbrush and if you want that you have to buy it yourself. They didn't provide the garbage bag and cleaning amenities and charge 20k for cleaning service. If you stay there only for a few days, they will provide it, don’t worry. But the good part is this place is really near the Seoul National University of Education Station, Olive Young, daiso, Nobrand and the next subway stop is Gangnam. You can buy stuff easily. They have the washing machine and dryer and you can use them for free. Bring your detergent. They also have a self-serve kitchen in the 5th floor but the free food there is expired so you need to buy yourself new ones. Overall you need a place to stay this one is fair because it is cheap. P/S: The staff is not so fluent in English but they really tried their best to help me. I really appreciate that. If you need to ask something, use the Kakaotalk channel.

There is literally nothing to brag about, the stay is absolutely wonderful! Room was spacious and clean, but what I love most is the public kitchen! Provided with all sorts of cooking equipment, will revisit next time!

Another self service hotel in Seoul. Go up to the reception on the 5th floor, call the manager and you will be provided with the room number and password to your room. Nobody is there to serve you. Should you need an exchange in towels or extra toilet papers then you will have to request it thru Kakao talk. No cups in the room, you will have to get it at the reception. The room is modern and clean. They have a cafe at the ground floor and some restaurants and convenience stall nearby.

Lovely hostel my mum, my friend and myself visited earlier this month. It has a cute cafe on the ground floor where you check in, two floors of dorm rooms, a 4th floor of private rooms and the top floor is an open kitchen and relaxing area.||||There is also a balcony and you have use of the facilities in the kitchen and can keep your own food and beverages in the fridge. The room and bathroom were both clean and it was quiet at night. Other guests seemed to be respectful. ||||The staff were friendly and you're allowed to leave your suitcases on the top floor if you want to leave them there between checking out and your bus/train/flight. ||||It's also one stop away from Gangnam on the subway. I'd recommend to head there for restaurants, bars and shops. There is plenty to choose from!

It was my first visit to Korea. New, clean room with a cozy bed. Very comfortable. Very close to a subway station :exit 1 Seoul National University of Education, and also to Airport Bus stop. Just one thing was I found a dirt on the bed sheet. I left a message about that and they changed it immediately. I wished there was a refrigerator in the room. Overall I enjoyed staying at the hotel. Good value for money.

I stayed at Upflo Hostel n Nov 2019 and cannot fault the service of the staff or the quality of the facilities. The room was spacious and really well-equipped, the common space on the top floor was clean, bright and really comfortable to spend time in, the staff were super helpful and the location was very convenient with nearby restaurants, convenience stores and subway links to the rest of Seoul. I would happily stay there again ☺️
