This is worth a visit, you spend 2hrs here to cover the entire place. We came on a weekend and it was absolutely crowded with multiple kids picnic tours going on. This is the most windy place I have ever been to in my life. Absolutely crazy winds at super speed for e that can literally push you backwards as you try to climb up onto the ruins. There is a nice tunnel walk through area as well do not miss it.

Very interesting cave city! Absolutely unreal alien landscapes, amazing view of the mountains and the valley! The child happily jumped and ran everywhere, climbed into all the caves. There are many interesting locations for photos! Below is an old ruined village, it is also interesting to walk around it. Next to it is the Old Uplistsikhe cafe, it is tasty and inexpensive

Uplistsikhe is an extraordinary historical site that left me in awe. Walking through its ancient rock-hewn caves felt like stepping back in time to witness the ingenuity and resilience of a bygone civilization. The architecture, carved directly into the rocky terrain, showcases an incredible feat of engineering and creativity from centuries ago. The breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and the Mtkvari River were mesmerizing, providing a perfect backdrop to this archaeological wonder. It's easy to lose track of time here, just taking in the scenery and imagining the lives of those who once thrived in this unique settlement. The site’s preserved remnants of temples, theaters, and tunnels offered a profound connection to history. Combined with the raw beauty of the natural landscape, Uplistsikhe is truly a place where history and nature converge, leaving visitors inspired and contemplative.

Impressive cave town and great views of the surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend to check out just be aware that it involves a hike + stairs to get up to the town. Good shoes are needed as the stones are slippery

Magnificent place with a great history. We've spend more than 3 hours walking around and exploring the place. There are halls and small chambers. There is also a museum devoted to the exploration of the site. If your ticket includes wine degustation you have the opportunity to try rare wines in a small yard.

Do not approach if you don't bring strong, durable shoes made for hiking. You'll climb quite much here if you wish to find the best spots for a panoramic view, but it's well worth it. Do not miss out on this one!

An interesting complex of caves that formerly served as people’s houses. It’s really quite an athletic endeavor to try to see them all. I hopped up ledges that were as tall as my neck, and jumped down a few waist-level drops. There was also a small church that you could visit. It really was a fun place to visit, but not meant for people afraid of slipping, falling, or doing a bit of a rock scramble at times.

Very nice place, a natural marvel Houses and different structures carved into the mountains. Beautiful location with breathtaking views. Need hiking, do consider leg work before this tour. Our tour company was very nice but don't listen to the tour guide as they waste plenty of time in telling history. Utilise that time in sight seeing and enjoying the place
