⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stunning Views and Peaceful Moments – Upper Barrakka Gardens The Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta are an absolute must-visit while in Malta. We stopped by in the morning and were treated to some of the most breathtaking panoramic views over the Grand Harbour — truly postcard perfect. The gardens themselves are beautifully maintained, with shaded walkways, fountains, and statues that offer a peaceful escape from the city’s bustle. The Saluting Battery just below adds a historic touch, especially if you catch the cannon firing at noon! Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to relax or the best photo spot in Valletta, Upper Barrakka delivers. A perfect mix of nature, history, and unforgettable views.

Lovely place to have a full view of the port! From there, you will be able to see the set that was used for multiple movies over the years. A must to check out!

The Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta are easily one of the coolest spots in Malta. The views over the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities are absolutely next level—especially at sunset. It’s a perfect mix of history and chill, with statues, arches, and quiet paths surrounded by Mediterranean plants. Whether you’re into photography, history, or just want a great place to relax, this spot delivers.

Upper Barrakka Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful place that’s definitely worth visiting and taking memorable photos. I’ve been there several times at different times of the day, and each visit has its own charm. If you’re in Valletta, you really shouldn’t miss it. It’s very close to the bus terminal and just a short walk from downtown Valletta. Highly recommended!

It was an interesting visit to this beautiful and historic public garden known for their panoramic views of the Grand Harbour. History: Originally a private garden for the Knights of Saint John in the 16th century, they became a public garden in 1800. Views: Situated at the highest point of the city walls, they offer panoramic views of the Grand Harbour, the Three Cities, and the shipyard. Saluting Battery: Below the gardens is the Saluting Battery, where cannons are fired daily at noon and 4 pm (except Sundays) as a ceremonial salute. Notable Features: The gardens feature terraced arches dating back to 1661, as well as various monuments, memorials (including one for Sir Winston Churchill), and a replica of the "Les Gavroches" statue.

Beautiful views. Came early in the day so most shops are closed. But there is a stage and small food court and good seating areas. Will come back at night to check out the scene. Great view of Malta.

A small, well-kept garden with free entry. It offers stunning views of Malta, nearby towns, and the harbor. You can also watch the daily cannon firing show. A good spot for a short break while exploring Valletta. There are also small food stands inside where you can grab something to eat. The place can get a bit crowded, especially during peak hours.

This place is the most unique in Valetta! It holds a very vast history and it serves as an observatory. Half of Malta is visible via that spot and is very graphic. Every day at 12.00 and at 16.00 they also perform the military salute via cannon fires, which is pretty unique.
