December 3.5★ A small restaurant that offers Southern foods. Catering to the locals, this place has a fair amount of take out, but there also seating for about 20. Blackened Chicken $21.50 With Jambalaya$5.00 This wasn't bad, very flavorful. Jambalaya was very good. While the flavor profile of the chicken was good, it was a bit dry which I believe is due the chicken being a bit thin. Bayou Brisket $29.95 Tender and flavorful. If you have never had bayou, it's has hints of apple cider vinegar, onion and molasses. Interesting. Seafood Voodoo Pasta $21.95 A melody of colors, cooked very well. Saucy. Great garlic bread. A nice place, service overall is good. Limited parking.

The food was amazing. Homemade cooking at a reasonable price. I love the coziness of the place. The hot sauce was delicious, I ended up buying a bottle to take home. The calamari was not salty at all despite the proper seasoning. Mac and cheese was great and the jambalaya tasted authentic. I have to admit this is better than the food I had in Louisiana itself.

Ive passed by this plaza not knowing there was a lovely restaurant tucked away. Upper Beaches Bourbon is a local restaurant that specializes in Creole food from Blackened chicken and fish to corn bread and gumbo, they've got all your classic Creole dishes. I had their blackened chicken served on a bed of mashed potatoes and side of steamed veggies. Quite flavorful indeed. For apps we shared their in house corn bread and gumbo, both were delicious!!! My wife ordered their Creole Jumbalaya, full of dense flavors with collared greens on top. For dessert had their bread pudding, perfect way to end a lovely meal. Overall, their prices are very reasonable, portions are great and service is excellent! A hidden gem in this area. Only drawback is the parking lot due to limited space

I can't believe I found this gem of a place. Very unassuming from the outside, but come in for a treat! The menu looks so appetizing, I would have loved to try all of them but alas! I was a diner of one. I ordered the Blackened Chicken, which apparently is the most popular. Let me tell you, I was still full from my very late lunch and yet I vacummed my plate. It was that good. I ordered "Hurricane" for my cocktail, cause why not? Pretty good 🙂. I didn't have room for dessert so I ordered Corn Bread to go and just had it this morning. Delicious !!! Judith was great and so attentive and really welcomes you. I've read some of the negative reviews, and nearly most of them should be reviews about the delivery courriers NOT the restaurant itself. Anywho, this place should be a Scarborough must !

This is definitely the place to go for a Cajun/Creole meal. The service is excellent and the chefs are amazing. We started with their gumbo soup. Perfectly spiced and so satisfying! Their cornbread is served fresh and hot with a side of butter and was heavenly. For our mains we had their brisket and grits and the blackened salmon with a side of collard greens. All fabulous! We had no room for dessert but I would order either the sweet potato brownie or the bread pudding next for sure. This is a small establishment in a strip plaza in Scarborough so nothing fancy but it’s clean, bustling with takeout and 100% a hidden gem.

Super hungry on my way home from work and after browsing on Uber Eats decided to try the jambalaya from here due to a promo. Food was prepped and sent out super fast, arrived nice and warm. Absolutely love the takeaway containers it came in! The jambalaya had just the right level of spice and was packed full of flavor. The portion size was perfect for the cost - I like that the meat was uniformly cut with the veggies so everything really melded together in each bite. Would definitely be interested to try more of the menu.

We ordered 3 dishes for dinner delivery. The blackened tofu dinner was delicious and healthy! Blackened tofu was served on a tomato roux/sauce, with plain rice and perfectly cooked vegetables (thinly sliced carrots, green beans and broccoli). I liked that their was some spice to the tofu and that it was firm and not mushy. Portion sizes are ample! I could only eat half of my dinner at one sitting. We also ordered the Cajun Comfort meal and the Blackened Chicken meal. I am also very happy with the takeout containers that they use (NOT Plastic...thankfully!!) Will post pics next time!

Don’t let the little restaurant size fool you, you will have a tremendous experience. The food was amazing, the service was great and prices are good for the portion size and great quality. We had the creole Mac and cheese and hush puppies for apps, a nice spin on the Caesar drink, blackened salmon and the brisket. And we got grits! Who serves authentic grits? I WILL go back - wanna try the Po boys- and I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is amazing so far!! We came for lunch and the food is fresh and great value. Would for sure come back and try other things. They even made a custom dish for our son who's too young for spicy food he's only 4. The ppl there were super friendly and kind. Really nice place to eat!!

The restaurant itself is located in a plaza by Midland and St. Clair. We were lucky to find parking as the plaza was busy at the time we went. The restaurant has some seats inside but we opted for take out. When our order was ready the worker even brought it out to our car! I haven't had much Cajun/Creole food before but i really enjoyed my meal from here! I got the shrimp po boy sandwich and my bf got the catfish po boy sandwich. We also ordered the fried calamari to share. The calamari and sandwiches all came with sauces on the side, including hot sauce. The sandwiches also each came with a side of fries. We found the value of the food to be really good.

Sorry for the "no pics", but there was no evidence left. WE ATE IT ALL . We started with appies of Creole Mac n' Cheese, and blackened chicken livers on garlic crostini. Now, I realize that chicken liver may not be on everyone's tastebuds, but our European culture, could not resist and we were having a "foodgasm". My partner had the lamb shank. The dish was stellar, with lots of caramelized onions and roasted carrots, on a bed of mashed potatoes. I had the smoked beef brisket po' boy. The tastes are so flavourful as well as the textures. The portions were, such that sharing was not a problem for the two of us. Judith, our "person", provided incredible and attentive service, while at the same time, not intrusive. This is an open kitchen concept, so you see the two chefs working and they sure produce some serious mojo back there. Even their hot sauce is a house made, bit if wizardry - smokey with enough heat to make you pay attention. This is a small gem in Scarborough. The ambiance is very friendly, and probably seats less than twenty. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING BACK, sooner than later.

Service was spectacular and the food delicious, beyond my expectations. I thought I was taking a chance on the Jambalaya (with shrimp), but it was a major winner. Would definitely go back if I lived in the area.
