Sorry for the "no pics", but there was no evidence left. WE ATE IT ALL . We started with appies of Creole Mac n' Cheese, and blackened chicken livers on garlic crostini. Now, I realize that chicken liver may not be on everyone's tastebuds, but our European culture, could not resist and we were having a "foodgasm". My partner had the lamb shank. The dish was stellar, with lots of caramelized onions and roasted carrots, on a bed of mashed potatoes. I had the smoked beef brisket po' boy.
The tastes are so flavourful as well as the textures. The portions were, such that sharing was not a problem for the two of us. Judith, our "person", provided incredible and attentive service, while at the same time, not intrusive. This is an open kitchen concept, so you see the two chefs working and they sure produce some serious mojo back there. Even their hot sauce is a house made, bit if wizardry - smokey with enough heat to make you pay attention.
This is a small gem in Scarborough. The ambiance is very friendly, and probably seats less than twenty. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING BACK, sooner than later.
