Upper House Chengdu

Had a three nights stay at Upper House Chengdu for birthday trip, and it was absolutely amazing. ||The hotel’s design is flawless — right in the heart of Taikoo Li, yet surprisingly peaceful despite the bustle outside. It’s like a chill little haven tucked away in the busy city.|Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, and I loved that the menu changes regularly. The bed was so comfortable that it made getting up each morning a real challenge! |The location couldn’t be better — it’s right in Chengdu’s CBD, and everything I needed was within a short 10‑minute walk.||A big shout‑out to Libby, Max, Kylie, and every single member of Upper House Chengdu team — your warmth and attentiveness made my stay truly unforgettable. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience.

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the unforgettable experience that my boyfriend and I had during our stay at Upper House Chengdu this week. It was truly a pleasure and a privilege to be your repeated guest.||We were greeted with warmth and genuine smiles from Kylie and Shirley who have well prepared our stay and asked our itinerary before our trip which was truly appreciative. The Guest Experience team especially Sky helped with everything and make sure we are well taken care. The check-in process was smooth and attentive; all staff are courteous and polite. Despite it is a small thing, it truly becomes memorable to our experience.||The room was beyond our expectations. General Manager put a warm hand-written card which was very warm. Our room was spacious, elegantly designed. The hotel has provided an upgrade which is unexpected. The comfortable beds ensured a restful sleep for, and the amenities provided added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. We went to Jiuzhaigou for few days in between and the hotel helped to store our luggage nicely, and pre sent to our room when we returned. It was super helpful!||The dining experience was also a true delight. I tried Mi Xun Teahouse with ALC dinner. The restaurant's ambiance was so nice. The dishes were beautifully presented and showcased the rich flavors of Sichuan cuisine. We appreciated the attentiveness of the staff, who took the time to explain each dish and ensure that we had a memorable dining experience.||Lastly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for making my stay a truly happy one. We chose Upper House Chengdu for my birthday trip, and it exceeded all expectations. The property is stunning—beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and spotlessly clean.||The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday special. They arranged a lovely cake and decoration in the room, which was a wonderful surprise. The service throughout our stay was attentive yet discreet.||A special mention must go to Tivano, the hotel's Italian restaurant—the food and atmosphere are incredible and it's a must-try for any food lover."||The location is great for exploring the city, and coming back to such a peaceful haven after a day out was a treat. Highly recommend for anyone, especially for a celebration. A truly five-star experience.

Danny, who I believe is in charge of guest experience, made this into a wonderful trip. My last visit to this hotel was in 2019. Used to be called the Temple House. The hotel is still kept up well. Every single person at the resort is professional. The rooms are well maintained. One of my friends got sick and everyone from the breakfast area to the spa asked how they could offer her comfort food and medical support. This hotel is perfectly situated in 太古里, which in my view, is THE MOST interesting shopping area. I live in Los Angeles and shop everywhere I visit with my wife. Taiguli is a perfect blend of Asian architecture with all the top brands. Hint: their Hermes store has the mother load of limited edition purses if you’re ready to spend.

The stay at Upper House Chengdu was truly delightful. The environment strikes the perfect balance between traditional design and warm, inviting ambiance, making every moment feel relaxing and refined. The staff were outstanding—attentive, courteous, and genuinely seems invested in ensuring a memorable visit. The food at Mi Xun was exceptional, with thoughtful presentation and flavors that showcased local ingredients at their best. Overall, an excellent experience that I would warmly recommend.

Firstly i would like to thank Alfred. ||He helped with all the arrangements from transport to ordering cake and decorating the room for my son birthday. He stayed back to welcome me and my family when we arrived late to the hotel. Small gestures like decorating the room with some kids friendly toys, helping me set up the delivery app and taxi app made my stay more enjoyable.||Location of the hotel is excellent as well. All the staffs in the hotel are helpful and nice!

Just had the most wonderful stay! The room was spotless, modern, and so comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the city. Couldn't have asked for a better experience—will definitely be returning! Highly recommend

The upper house ( previously known as the temple house) is a quiet oasis in the buzzing city of Cheng Du. The moment you stepped out of the car into the front entrance you are transported to a place where tradition meets modern luxury. What impressed me the most is not only the facility is amazing the service is also top notch. I have always been a fan of the house collections. Having stayed at all of the properties already, temple house is the last one to check off the list. And of course it didn’t let me down. An excellent experience was delivered as the promise of the Upper House Collections.
