Definitely one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The friend green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade in particular was one of the best dishes I had on this trip. Which makes sense, considering this (now) New Orleans staple was created at Upperline! I liked the course dinner option. Portion sizes were large. I left stuffed. I love the comforting feel of this restaurant. Felt like home.

Stopped at upperline for a late romantic dinner based on the recommendation of a local tour guide. We were not disappointed. The hostess and owner was so personable and gave us a list of her own recommendations. The food was very good, we did prix fixe which is the best deal to try a bunch on items. The stars of the show were the fried green tomato with shrimp remoulade appetizer and the duck with garlic port. The sauces were out of this world and they brought over bread to get every drop. Great special occasion restaurant with adorable decor.

A wonderful assortment of some of Louisiana's greatest dishes! The duck etouffee, turtle soup, gumbo, and fried tomatoes were everything you hoped they would be and more. The food is amazing and worth every penny.

When we were making plans to come to New Orleans, we wanted to pick a great restaurant and were overwhelmed with all the choices. Luckily, we chose right by going to Upperline. Excellent ambiance that was casual yet elevated, great cocktails, excellent service, and amazing food. We were blown away by the foie gras but everything else was also wonderful. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and we're looking forward to trying more next time we come to New Orleans.

The drum fish I ordered was fresh and delicious. Waiter was nice and attentive. Interior is decent and there are many interesting original painting on walls. The only complaint I have is the food presentation, or lack thereof. For example, the 5 piece of fried oysters(appetizer) were just placed flat on the plate without any decoration on the white dish, which you can pick up from Walmart.

This place is fantastic! Do yourself a favor and get out of the French Quarter for a trip to the Garden District. The Taste of New Orleans seven favorites tasting dinner is a must try. Enjoy!

Food was wonderful. The service was HORRIBLE . Had to ask 3 times for a refill. My extra side of sweet potatoes, had to ask twice where they were at and when they finally came I was done with my main course. Would I eat there again, NO. There are a lot better fine dining places.
