Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

Welcome back!! I used to frequent the UCB Hell's Kitchen and have missed it dearly since it closed during the pandemic. The new UCB theater is tucked away in an unbecoming spot on 14th st, and the space itself is larger than it looks from the outside. I believed this before and still believe it now; this is thr best place in the city to watch comedy. The performers are wonderful and hilarious and the cost is super reasonable. I cannot recommend this theater enough!!

This place is awesome! Every show is amazing -- but the one on Thursdays at 10pm is especially amazing. I honestly can't imagine any other place I'd rather be at 10pm on a Thursday. Seriously. Like, if there were two doors and door #1 led to a million dollars and door #2 led to this venue at 10pm on Thursday, I'd pick door #2 100% of the time. My first kid was due on a Thursday night and I was nervous how I was gonna tell my wife that I wouldn't be at the hospital, but fortunately we had a beautiful baby girl at 4am on Thursday--which left me plenty of time to get down to UCB by 10pm. My marriage has never been stronger and the show was even better!

Great affordable entertainment in NYC!

Such a fun and still cheap night out. Haven't been to this location yet but it's spacious and well-run, with an easy to navigate space. Also they have one of those water fountains that also let you refill your reusable water bottle which is so handy. Bought my tix online. There's a general admission line that's on the sidewalk in front. Someone checks in everyone while they're on the GA line outside and hands you a temporary ticket that's laminated, which you promptly return once you file into the building. Venue is small enough that there's no real bad seat. I've been kinda hesitant to go to comedy clubs since COVID because I still mask a decent amount and don't want to feel like the only one. In case others care about that as well, there were other people still masking in attendance which made me feel less self-conscious.
