nice art deco building with excellent acoustics and perfect visibility. not a bad seat in the house. nice selection of beer, wine, and spirits at the bar dinging 1 star because everyone is forced to enter and exit the theater through one set of double doors and a 4 person wide corridor. as a result, entering and especially exiting the show is brutally slow

I recently went to a show at this theater and it’s awesome. Very intimate atmosphere great for music or comedy. The seats were nice and there really wouldn’t be a bad seat in this venue. I’d recommend getting there early if you’re grabbing drinks or have a group for restrooms. Definitely a great spot worth catching a show at.

Google
Great time. Great show, Great sound. Two drinks $22. I'd go there again. Nice art deco design inside

Google
Really nice theater with about 25 rows of seat. All seats are comfortable and large enough for normal adults and even room to stand up and dance if the event calls for it. Two bars in the back with premium drinks and nice bathrooms. Saw Dark Star Orchestra there and sound was terrific. Ushers were helpful and kept drinks off the stage. Would certainly go to an show there again. Lots of free parking nearby as well.

Awesome venue. Thievery Corporation last Friday at their best. NO disappointments. Most of the concert-goers danced the night away.

Mark Schwartz

Google
Awesome historical venue with not a bad seat in the house. The decor is exquisite. Good beer selection at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff. Tons of free parking all around.

Google
It's a great place for concerts. Nicely renovated interior from the early 20th century. Acoustics are good.

Google
Great theater, built in 1930s, with extremely comfortable seats for a big guy! I had no problems sitting in the middle of the row the seats were so wide!

Yelp
Not a bad seat in the house! We sat in the left balcony and had a perfect view of the stage. The sound was balanced and filled the room. It was an older crowd so lots of up and down. They set up a couple of merch tables and had at least 2 bars. Highly recommend and will be back

Yelp
Uptown Theatre is one of Napa's top spots to visit. Its beauty, combined with the diverse and high-quality performances, makes it a standout destination in a valley renowned for amazing places and experiences. The theater is cozy enough for great viewing from any seat (with tiered rows ensuring clear views even behind tall people) yet large enough to attract well-known artists, including comedians and various music genres. Enjoy fairly priced drinks from its bars in the lobby or at your seat, equipped with a handy cup holder. Multiple-stall restrooms are available. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online, with free parking nearby. See you there!

Yelp
We have been to Uptown Theatre Napa twice. The first time we lived in the Bay Area and made a Napa excursion out of it. The second time... well, I planned the entire trip while we still lived in Hayward, but before the concert and all or our Napa plans scheduled for May 2022, we moved back to Cincinnati in Nov. 2021. That's some very interesting background, don't you think? Anyway, the first concert we saw was fabulous. The second was extraordinary. Back to the theatre itself. It's completely unassuming outside. And to be honest, it's not all that exciting inside. The decor is well.. it's interesting. It's not ornate. Rather, it's somewhat faux ornate. It's weird. But who cares?! Not us, because the sound is great! There aren't really any bad seats and it's a fabulous performance venue. Booked artists are across the board, which is good because I'd say they offer something for everyone. I always watch and we'd make the trip back to Napa for someone special. The beauty of Uptown Theatre Napa is its location. It's so easy to plan a trip to see an incredible concert as part of a delightful trip to Napa. Yes, Uptown Theatre Napa is a destination concert venue.... and totally worth it!

Yelp
Employees and hire security ( with the exception of one security young lady ) were very abusive, including the manager . Humiliated my son and myself. My son is special needs. He always holds on to a water bottle like a child hold on to a security blanket. I explained it to each one of them , they didn't care . Until one young lady with the security company allowed us in. A couple of patrons apologized and told me because of the way we were treated , they thought we were trying to get in without paying . This never happened when Mr Altamura owned the theatre

Yelp
I wish they were more understanding when it comes to people with disabilities. I was very surprised with their lack of compassion. Show was good, service not so much.

Yelp
Lovely old theatre. Comfy seats and good sight lines and acoustics. No complaints. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Another great evening at the Uptown. The venue is amazing and the acoustics are great. Not a bad seat in the theater.

Yelp
Uptown Theater is such a quaint theater in downtown Napa! It seems like there isn't a bad seat in the entire house! With the distance only being 98 feet from the stage to the last row, that is unheard of for most performing arts venues. When you walk up to Uptown Theater the first thing you will notice is the beautiful marquee outside. When you walk inside you will notice they have a absolutely beautiful lobby. They have a bar area located inside the lobby and you can take drinks inside the theater. In the theater there is plenty of seating and the seats are so comfy. I was shocked about that. Can't beat that at a music venue as that isn't always the case.  Uptown Theater has a wide range of artists on a regular basis including musicians to comedians.  There is plenty of street parking and a large parking lot located right across the street from the church. There is also plenty of places to grab dinner or a drink before the show in downtown Napa. Now that the Uptown Theater is on my radar, I'll have to go to more events and live music in the future!

Yelp
Saw Markus King perform an acoustic set with his lead guitar player. Great show and venue. Old movie theater set up.

Yelp
Uptown Theatre is the Belle of the Ball when it comes to restored theaters. It's Grand, from the marquee outside, the great lighting at the entrance & lobby to the renovated interior. The headliner may steal the show, and Jakob Dylan/Wallflowers brought the house down, but when the interior lights are on the place is breath taking, the sound system is superb, OMO a tad loud, especially when there is a guitar oriented rock band, so be prepared. There is a lobby bar & you're welcome to bring the drink into the theater, there are cup holders at each seat. They also invite local musicians to play prior to the headliner, so if you're running a bit late because you can't get the wait staff attention to pay your bill, you still will be on time because the standard is an opening act, but you may want to check with the venue so you don't miss a beat. There is parking on the street & a large, free parking lot on the corner. I've been to a few concerts here. And it always amazes me how wonderful this venue is, check their website for the latest events, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Fun NYE show! Saw Dogstar perform and celebrated NYE with drinks and a decent show. Venue was fine.

Yelp
Awesome venue, I dont believe there is a bad seat in the house. Lines for bathroom and drinks were not long, which made it more enjoyable. We will be back.

Yelp
Such a good venue! Quick service for drinks and beautiful interior! Not to mention the neon lights outside are amazing ! You won't be disappointed in this venue.

Yelp
went to a concert on Saturday night we saw Blackberry Smoke and we had some issues with our tickets. I needed to switch them from where we were sitting into more handicap style seating because I was at the concert with a broken shoulder so I wanted to be safe. Anyway , the staff went above and beyond for us. It was a bit of a snafu because we purchased our tickets through Ticketmaster and so we had to get a refund from Ticketmaster, which the staff took care of for us and then ending up getting us the tickets for the same price that we paid for the other seats, which were way up in the balcony. anyway, Anna in the box office was wonderful the manager I didn't catch her name. She was dressed of the skeleton costume with the sparkly hat. She was amazing Uncle Festus standing outside guiding people into the door when the concert doors opened was the costume was spot on. Anyway, great venue wonderful acoustics not a bad seat in the house. Blackberry Smoke was awesome unfortunately we had to leave a little early because I forgot a pain pill so anyway long story short the concert was amazing.

Yelp
Love this quaint theater in Napa. We saw Jesse Cook and company perform and it was a really good show! Sound quality was excellent. Ushers were friendly and helpful. Wine was pretty good. Event started on time. We definitely plan to attend again.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this theater. First it is one of the prettiest theaters, in my humble opinion. There are no "bad seats". You will be in a good spot no matter where you sit. We always find street parking. The staff here are the odd factor. The booth in front, which sells tickets has some of their best employees in it. They are helpful and patient. However, at a couple of recent shows/events, the staff was not helpful. In fact, appeared confused as to what they are doing outside while folks' line up. They have not known which line folks should be in. Ie. which of their own lines are for meeting artists; receiving signed books; special tix etc. They had us get out of the front of one line and get in another and then back in original line, but 12 folks back. Not in our original spot. One time, with a hundred people in line, the staff was walking up & down the line outside telling/yelling at folks, if they did not have proof of vaccination, they could not get in. And announcing their credit card machines were out, so if folks did not have cash, they were not going to be able to buy any drinks, snacks nor souvenirs. They were extremely "chilly" in their delivery. We happen to have cash and proof of vaccination. But they should have sent out emails/texts prior to folks' arrival. Once folks drove all the way there, parked and standing in a long line, is not the time to be "a matter of fact"/"too bad, attitude". The staff outside prior to show start, appear not to be all on the same page. The chick that runs the theater is unsympathetic and at times, insulting. Instead of responding with charm & people skills, you get a "too bad you can't just enjoy your evening".

Yelp
The show: 5* Venue manager: 1* The Tyler Rich show was absolutely fantastic! From his originals - new & hits ... to covers of classics, like Have You Ever Seen The Rain by CCR ... to his song "Dogs Don't Die" which he wrote about his pup Abby he had rescued 17 years ago & had to say goodbye to earlier this year - I guarantee there wasn't a dry eye in the building. However, after the show, that's when things took a turn. After every show, Tyler likes to take pictures with & sign autographs for his fans. He does this at every show. It's one of the many reasons why his fans love him so much. There was no opener and the show ended really early - around 9:45pm - earlier than most shows I've been to at this venue. He was about half way through his line when this woman, apparently the manager, came storming down the aisle-way swearing up a storm, not caring there was anyone around. She was talking to another - very disrespectful security guard - and they were saying "who the f*ck does he think he is?? this is f*cking ridiculous! he needs to leave now!!" The fans that were there couldn't believe how rude someone for this venue would speak like this. I heard a security guard was blocking pictures being taken with her hands covering the cameras. I've not once EVER seen a venue act like this. I drove up from San Francisco for this show, as I've done for other artists that play here - like Matt Nathanson ... but now I will second guess buying tickets & supporting this venue if this is the kind of people they have representing them. If they make things right -- fire this woman & her "yes mam" security & get the right people to fill this position that actually have a love for music & the experience of a concert -- & also apologize to Tyler Rich & his fans, I will consider going back.

Yelp
The Uptown Theatre is a beautiful and comfortable place to see and hear live music. All the seats have excellent viewing. Their box office is the best place to purchase tickets. The box office only has only a very small fee and if you have extra tickets which you do not need they can assist you. We have seen Ken- Mo, Lyle Lovett, and Lucinda Williams there. All the shows were amazing and delightful. The artists seem to enjoy the Napa way of being kind and generous. Because it is a cozy but bit cramped venue it can be distracting if there is a lot of cell phone use but it seems that quick pics are tolerated. The entrance and exit for the theatre is on Third Street as all the other exits are for emergencies only. Guests are welcome to use the restrooms throughout and after any performance. It's a great part of Napa. We love that it has an incredible variety of performers and is such a friendly place.

Yelp
The theater is located in a beautiful little downtown area of Napa in my opinion a little high-end area. I love the outside of the theater because it reminds me of some 1950s diner with the neon lights and the inside looks absolutely beautiful.

Yelp
Shame such a beautiful venue; however venue has very outdated covid-19 policy. As of February 2022 they require ONLY proof of vaccination and do not accept Proof of Negative Covid Test; although every single venue in California - Including much larger venues Chase Center, Golden 1 Center, SAP Center, Crypto.com Arena, Memorial Auditorium, SAFE Credit Union Theater. Website says they follow CDC recommendation; however for venues CDC is not currently recommending only proof of vaccination (covid.19.ca.gov/mega-events/#Indoor-events) Erica Simpson (Director) was very rude and lacked customer service training. Event tickets were purchased, policy changed and now not allowed to attend and no refund offered -- even though purchase policy stated must follow cdc covid guidelines, and venue is creating their own unique set of rules... seems like potential lawsuit.

Yelp
This is a late posting, but we were there in January to see The Temptations! It was a dark and rainy night driving there from SF, but the show made up for all that! I try to catch the Temptations whenever they're in the Bay Area. Love my old school R & B music. Here's a couple of short snippets. Uptown Theater is an awesome venue for concerts. Small and intimate seating for everyone to enjoy!

Yelp
Punishment for food poisoning: We had purchased tickets for the Richard Thompson show several months ago and were really looking forward to the concert. The tickets were expensive, but we thought it would be worth it. On the day of, we spent the morning with friends on the coast and then drove over to Napa. Got there in time to check into the Napa Inn (wonderful place!) and an early dinner. After dinner, we walked over to to the theater. Not long after we arrived, during the opening act, I felt a sudden wave of nausea and headed to the restroom which had a long line of women. I did make it to the sink, where I got very ill. Some women employees came up to me to help, I thought, but it was mainly to grill me and make some nasty insinuations. They did the same to my husband of 51 years, who was outside the restroom frantic with worry. Not long after, I was confronted by the manager who told me I was a "biohazard" and had to leave. I could actually understand her perspective - she couldn't know exactly what was going on with me, but it was the way that she handled it that demonstrated that she was only concerned with not having to issue a refund. She never expressed concern or compassion, nor did she seem at all interested in my well-being. She offered one complimentary pass to a future show, which even if I considered going back (which I am not) is worthless since we do not live there, and my husband was essentially thrown out as well. We were not only heartbroken at missing the show but being treated like criminals instead of acknowledging my food poisoning was even worse! I am still shocked and infuriated at their behavior.

Yelp
This is like a smaller, more intimate Paramount theater. Strict Pandemic protocols, checking ID & vaccination cards and requiring masks. I didn't see the mask police that others referred to, but I did see people who removed their mask inside. I think this theater is the perfect size for Goldilocks, not too big, not too small. Just right!

Helen Y.

Yelp
I definitely love this venue!! Was intimate enough to really take note of the artist that's playing. The building is amazing. Service was awesome. The only thing is I wish they had some food or snacks cause I was hungry.

Todd A.

Yelp
Went to Pink Martini tonight and then wanted to use the bathroom before we drove Babcock to Sacramento. The lady in charge and the security guard mentioned on other reviews on here were completely rude and bossy. He used the f word toward us saying we were not allowed to use the bathrooms. The idiots in control would not let us use the restrooms. They said they were closed at the end of the concert and we had to go to a bar down the street. The management of this place is woke and so unrealistic. Do not support this place. Awful people run this place. It's too bad because the theater looks nice but what a way to ruin a good night.

Yelp
I came here to see Anjelah Johnson for like the umpteenth time (because I'm just that big of a fan), and was really impressed with the venue. As usual, Anjelah's show (at least the 2nd show for the night, just like other venues she's performed at) had a line wrapping around the corner(s), but also as usual, the show starts about 30 minutes later than what's stated on the ticket. The lobby is quite small, which made it very crowded. And not many people wearing masks now that the mandate has been lifted. When you enter, there are bars both to your right and to your left, both with very long, slow lines, one of the few reasons I'm knocking off a star. The drink servers were not very efficient, seemed to engage in unnecessary small talk, and though I only missed the first opener due to these long lines, I think they could have done better. The venue has great curb appeal with a classic look and feel on the outside with bright, colorful, blinking lights illuminating the name of the theatre. Inside the actual auditorium, it's beautiful and majestic, with high ceilings (apparently a converted movie theater) and not a bad seat in the house in terms of viewing. The sound was perfect, not too loud or echoey, no screens for up close shots of the performer. Great lighting on stage, and lots of workers ready to help you out if you can't find your seat. They don't allow photos during the show, but I took plenty of photos before (and maybe snuck a few during... maybe). It was slow and crowded getting out of the theater at the end, and the women's restroom was out of all paper (toilet paper, toilet seat covers, and paper towels) after the show, in all stalls, because there was a long line, and the girls from different stalls were asking people in other stalls, lol. The staff probably should have checked that during the show because of course guests would be using the restroom afterward. Fail! Street parking was free and easy to find around the corner on a Saturday night. And there's lots of cool nightlife/bars nearby if you're looking to do something in the area before/after your visit to Uptown Theatre.

April F.

Yelp
If you enjoy the geriatric crowd and not being able to stand up or dance this is the venue for you! The "security guards' are rude, total snooze fest.
google avatar

Riley G.

Yelp
Cool theater and the seats were nice. My back never hurt during the show. Security and management is terrible. We were told the meet and greet was outside and they have the doors open, no way was this lobby about to hold a meet and greet line with the whole venue. Security said the meet and greet was outside then it happened to be inside. Once you go out there is no going back in and security had to push people back who had the same frustration. Not a single ounce of professionalism and let their anger and feelings get the best of them. The old goons need to retire. Only thing making this 2 stars is because the of the building.
google avatar

Kelly G.

Yelp
Beware! They will change COVID policies after you purchase tickets and refuse to work with you or refund tickets. At the time we purchased our tickets, uptown was only requiring a negative COVID test...which is why we bought our tickets. I have a 10 year old son that is unvaccinated due to personal reasons and we thought this would be a great thing to do locally with him. Erica has been very rude and unprofessional with myself as well as my family members. The condescending attitude on the phone and email is unacceptable. After voicing my concerns on the Uptown Facebook page...I was blocked from commenting on any future posts. Erica also gives out false information in regards to other local venues and their COVID policies. Uptown is not allowing negative COVID tests or requiring masks. However, they will allow a COVID positive customer to come inside of their venue as long as they have a vaccine card. What a shame. As someone that was born + raised in Napa...this is an unfortunate yet accurate representation of the town.

Yelp
I love this spot! It's got great mid century vibes with the fantastic neon sign and architecture details inside. Beautiful theater, great sound, not too big, very intimate experience. I've been to two shows recently and both of them have been great as far as viewing the stage, nice security, acoustics are on point, and my personal favorite - they let you get out of your seat and dance! Not all shows are going to be the shake a tail feather kind of vibe but when it is it is tough to stay rooted to that seat number. Both of the recent shows I've been able to dance and shake it out in the aisles with no one having an issue between the security or the other concert goers. I appreciate the understanding of the crowds and general good vibes. Super accessible parking, affordable drinks, comfortable enough seats when you are in them. Total winner for me!

Yelp
Comfy Great sound system Able to park close Great restaurants close Loved the Ann Wilson concert and can't wait to go back

Yelp
I was here for the Anjelah Johnson show and I like how easy it was to get in when the doors opened, the drinks are reasonably priced and overall clean theater l, I just think they should have more than 2 bartenders, the wait was a little long

Alison J.

Yelp
after spending $500 for Pink Martini tickets, we were denied use of the bathroom at the end of the show. Mr. and Mrs. Uptown Napa told us they had a job to do (ie deny use of facilities) and we should find a "bar" down the road. No plans to return,
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
Went to this venue to see David Sedaris' show. Nice venue and the whole art deco works well. That said, let's talk amount exiting the venue. Four exits and at the show's end three of four exits are not used. Security sends people leaving to the main entrance/exit through the lobby. Why the hell do you have a venue with four exits and then prevent the use of three of them? Makes no sense and makes for an annoying and dangerous situation. Have tickets to additional shows upcoming and I hope management figures out how to use ALL exits.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
I wasn't going to do this, but after reading some of the other recent reviews I thought I would add my two cents. Dear Uptown Theater, I understand, no I really do understand why you are being so HYPER VIGILANT about the Covid mandates. BUT when you required a 48 hour negative test or a vaccination card and also require masks while moving around the building I think the you really don't need MASK NAZIS running around the show. Between the constant tapping on peoples shoulders for cell phones and for having your mask down even while trying to enjoy a cocktail it was a bit much. Not only was it really distracting, but it was also very annoying. As much as we enjoyed the performance we say and the overall feel of the theater we will not be back any time soon.
google avatar

Del S.

Yelp
Love the venue. Feels intimate and really every seat is decent. We've been here a few times now and it's one of our favorites.

Joe C.

Yelp
We went to see the Temptations there on Sunday night. The show itself was very good. Before the show there was no announcement about not using cellphones. Many people were using their cellphones to record the show. Some in the row below us were busy using their phones to look at pictures or chat. This was very annoying! The ushers need to do something to prevent this. It was very distracting to our line of vision. It ruined the show for us. We would be reluctant to go back unless changes are made. Yelp
I had purchased 4 tickets for a comedy show that is taking place this weekend back in November. As we all know things with COVID change almost every month. Since we are around the corner from the event I searched the Uptown Theater website trying do determine what the current guidelines for attending events are. The website had a notice that states you have to be vaccinated to attend but on another area it stated a negative test was accepted. I called the box office several times with no answer. I finally decided to select the extension for Erica Simpson. I felt horrible to bug her. When she answered I immediately apologized for selecting her extension and explained the reason for my call. Her first response was "Where are you looking" I let her know the Uptown theater website. She proceeded to ask what was so confusing about what was stated on the website. I was completely caught of guard by her approach. I explained what I was looking at. She talked to me like I was stupid and could not read. I then told her I was simply trying to find out if someone needed to be vaccinated to attend or would a negative test work. I work in customer service. I have for many many years. I understand that the way that I speak to people is a huge representation of the company I work for. After reading the reviews here, it is very clear that Erica needs some training. Lady if you do not want to be bothered, remove your contact information from the website. If you hate your job maybe it's time to retire. It took every ounce in my body to not react to her extremely unnecessary rudeness. Here are screenshots of what I was looking at.... Yes Erica, it was very contradicting.

Yelp
This is a Fabulous place to see a show. Comfortable seats, easy parking. Just super.

Yelp
As a long time Napa native who has attended The Uptown numerous times, I never imagined writing a negative review. However, the new covid vaccine policy is beyond disappointing. This is segregation and discrimination at its finest, the Napa Valley way. Everyone knows you can still get and spread covid even if vaccinated and boosted(which ironically isn't required). Not following CDC or County Guidelines. Last time I went they harassed me about the mask every time I took a sip of my drink yet left others completely alone. Unless things change, we will not be spending any more money at this venue.

Yelp
I saw Steve Vai here in December 2022. Such a charming theater. Not a bad seat in the house. It's beautiful to see a room with this much character. The employees were great. Very helpful. I would love to come back to see a show here again.

Yelp
This small old town feel with the decor of a old Victorian restored. The staff is amazing and always top notch events. Parking across from the old courthouse and across from the billiards pub, other than that parking is hard to come by. The seating is comfortable and everything seemed clean. Mostly middle aged and up white peoples and a few upscale token other nationalities. Every one was treated with respect and the staff was accommodating for walkers and wheelchairs. Great experience and I will return.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect venue but you are made to feel like a criminal for .. wanting to see a show?!!? The policing of spectators by security was completely overboard . The random confrontation of ticket buyers by staff and other security was uncalled for. Patrons like me were buying drinks yet were not allowed to 1) order a drink from a masked and plexi-glass--partitioned bartender unless.. masked. 2) could not enter the theater seating area unless... masked despite the cocktails in their hands. New management is needed at this venue as well as a complete change of staff or just chill the F out!!

Yelp
First visit. Beautiful venue. Nice size. Comfortable seats. Didn't think the sound system was as great as others did. COVID vax or negative test required plus county indoor mask mandate. Unfortunately once inside many, many people took off their masks. The 4 people in front of us, who did not have drinks and therefore were not "actively eating or drinking", took off their masks immediately upon sitting down and kept them off for the duration. Noticed perhaps half the audience was maskless. Never once saw any staff approach any audience member about masks. Very disappointed in the venue for lack of enforcement. Never mind what the law requires of them, if the venue wants people to feel safe and comfortable, they need to enforce their own very highly publicized safety requirements. We paid money and chose to attend based on the venue's promises and feel the venue failed to live up to their end of the contract. If people don't like the safety measures, they can choose not to attend. Those of us who agree to the requirements deserve better.

Yelp
Just saw a kick-ass show! My first time at this gorgeous venue to experience Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and it was phenomenal. I admit after reading a few reviews here, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I found it to be quite professional and smooth. Show your ID, show your vaccine card or app, security screen, show your ticket and you're in. Masks are optional; most people did not have them. We had a really great time and I noticed no one being bothered by security or staff other than showing them to their seats or asking if they needed help. At the end of the show, people got up in an orderly fashion and left. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Yelp
Came here for a herb alpert concert, I love jazz so figured I'd see what this place was like. In a word magnificent, an old time theater with superb acoustics. We sat up in the balcony but there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Only seats maybe 800 people so not crowded at all. I would return here in a flash. Terrific venue great customer service.

Yelp
Uptown Theater in Napa has left me with mixed feelings. I attended a contemporary jazz concert here in March 2018, post-Route 91 Harvest Music Festival massacre. I was surprised but not offended by the security procedure to wand the men and check the purses of the ladies. If they're going to check, they could be a little more thorough. This process dramatically slowed entry. I never bring jacket to these shows as the body heat usually overwhelms the a/c. But I could have used it while waiting 20+ minutes in line. Maybe this will improve in time. Even though I was in Napa (posh city) and at a mature adult concert, there was rude clientele. A (drunk?) clumsy guest behind me kept bumping into me. When she did it for the second time, I brought it up to her. Her date was nasty and called me an unpleasant word I'll not repeat. He then proceeded to be passive aggressive and push himself into his date so that she'd bump into me again. She wasn't apologetic, either. This isn't the fault of the venue and they allowed me quick entry when I complained and said they would talk with him, but, don't expect the location or event to draw in a respectful crowd in today's society. The other downside is that the lobby isn't conducive to autographs and photos with the artist. It's rather small. The artist I saw usually signs autographs and does photos with fans. That didn't happen this time, probably because of space limitations. My other complaint was that the sound booth's computer monitor was too bright and a little too high. I sat in the fourth row, center of the balcony and it was distracting from the performance. And this could be just me, but the stage felt cramped with a pianist, double bass, keyboards, guitarist, drums and trumpeter. Add the occasional singer or violinist and I feel for the amount of seats in house, the stage was just a little bit small. But hey, there are positives to this venue that earned the four star rating. Pleasant and professional staff from security to the ushers. The restrooms seemed to be updated compared to other classic theaters. Brightly lit, nicely updated, fully functional, and well-stocked. But be careful of the single restroom up front ladies, shifty seat needs plastic bolts tightened and the men tend to miss the target so fold up your pants bottoms! Prices of drinks are standard for concert venues. The sound quality was good. The view (aside from the bright and highly positioned monitor) was great and would be awesome from any seat. Final notes... No cameras whatsoever - unless your artist is like mine and explicitly welcomes you to photograph and video. Except, please, no flash. The nice ushers will remind you of this. And if you're seated in the balcony, be slow and careful. Dim lighting during the show and short step spacing combined with a man moving too fast (probably to avoid blocking anyone's view) nearly caused him to crash & burn, but he saved it. So be slow and careful. Oh, bonus is close street parking, no charge. Enjoy!

Yelp
Nice venue to see a concert. Really not a bad view of the stage from any seat. The room acoustically seemed pretty balanced too.
