We held my daughter birthday dinner here last night. The restaurant was able to accommodate our large party without all the extra hassle and deposit other restaurants require. The service was top tier, the food arrived promptly, and was so good!! We had an amazing night and it was mostly due to the staff at the restaurant. They made it so enjoyable for us. Highly recommend visiting!!

Food: Appetizer- French artichoke dip (2/5). It came out hot👍🏼 melted cheese on top👍🏼 but, lacked flavor and had a hint of sour. Main- Grilled fish tacos (4.5/5) and fries (1/5) Fish was cooked well, tortilla and sauce where also pretty solid👍🏼 Fries where soggy and had no flavor. No salt nothing. Food was ok over all (from what I tried) but lacked flavor. Service: Great👍🏼 was greeted and sat as soon as I walked in. Smiles and kindness across the board. Ya'll have a great team. 👏🏼 (7/16 @ 12) Atmosphere: Seems dated but, not horrible. Overall I think this would be a great place for an older group but, personally not going to head back. My grandma would love this place for sure just not for me👍🏼

I want to start off by saying the staff and atmosphere were great. I came here with my partner, and the ambiance was spot on for what feels like an "urban kitchen". Buttt we of course came for the food. And I won't lie, and can't lie... the food was bad. But what made it worse was the price-to-bad ratio. $20 For pork tenderloin with 2 sides is a standard meal for a night out. Although: $20 for a chewy, unseasonably, unseared, non-rested small piece of meat was not worth it. The fact that sides cost $6 bucks by themselves is fine, and mine was included in the $20 price. But taking a $1 broccoli floret, cutting a 4th of the actual $1 worth, and charging $6 for it is insane. I am sharing a photo of the actual portion size - it really was that small like in the picture, and this was without any bites. My partner got the fettuccine alfredo which was $15 bucks, with chicken being an upcharge of $8 bucks. Was already skeptical cuz I was like "who charges 8 bucks for extra chicken for a pasta". Needless to say: The pasta was bland, basically a cream sauce with salt or pepper not added at all. And the chicken was a simple small breast I'd say 3 oz total, which followed the trend of no sear or season. And for the $8 upcharge? Not at all worth it. The Italian place right by the restaurant serves a fettuccine alfredo with a sauce to die for. Rich, creamy, flavorful, and unique compared to others i've tried. The chicken is included in the price and while theirs isn't the best either, it has far more flavor. Oh, and it costs $18. I got the opportunity to try that earlier this week, and comparing both is like night and day. But the biggest thing that I find odd is that the risotto urban kitchen has seems to blow whatever I said out the window. The rice used was very tender and creamy, and had a wonderful taste. Like melt in your mouth heaven. That to me was a 5 star, 10/10 dish and well worth the $6 price. Heck, despite the portion size id pay even more for it to be honest. It's like the level of time, seasoning, and ingredient prep went all into the risotto and the prep for the rest of the food was just tossed aside. It's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 for a rating. All in all, despite my love for the risotto we won't be coming back here. If a small portion of food is going to be served on a big plate and to charge that much for it, that food better all be on par with the quality the risotto has.

This was our first time here. The service was great off the top. My compliments to the chef. The food was outstanding. I had the herb- crusted salmon with steamed vegetables and risotto. Delicious! The cocktails were on point. All in all, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend stopping by if you get the chance.

I had a great experience with Jonathan at Chili's. He was incredibly patient and helpful while we were ordering our food. He took the time to answer all our questions and made sure we had a pleasant dining experience. Jonathan's excellent customer service made our visit to Chili's even more enjoyable. We appreciate his attentive and friendly approach. Thank you, Jonathan!

The staff was very friendly and greeted us immediately. The food left a lot to be desired from my whole party. My chicken cutlet was tough like steak. The grits or whatever that was I was served, did not look nor taste like grits and my friend's burger was overcooked and too well done.

Nice ambiance. The decor was modern and it was clean. They had a pretty decent Happy Hour menu. My drink was good. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Others got the Lobster Mac n cheese, Pecan Crusted Chicken and the Urban Burger. Our appetizers were the Lobster Quesadillas (I was told they were really good) and the Baked Spinach Artichoke dip. The food was decent. No complaints. I like a bit more seasoning on my food, but It wasn't intolerable. For dessert, I got a slice of Carrot cake, which I didn't like. It didn't taste fresh, and it was a bit dry. Staff was really nice, our waitress was friendly and others helped out when needed. Would I recommend? Of course. They have a large menu with lots of options. Good Happy Hour selection and good atmosphere.

Google
We ordered a Margherita flatbread and the redfish. Both were excellent. My daughter has eaten countless margherita pizzas, and she said this was the best! The vanilla ice cream is great, too. The redfish was served with green beans that still had snap and a slightly spicy papaya sauce. I recommend it! Service was great too.

Yelp
My first visit to Urban American Kitchen was last week to celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks for 2024. This meal was to sample their HRW $25 lunch menu. We were promptly seated after arriving in the large and airy dining room. After reviewing the menu, I chose for my 3 courses the strawberry salad, bistro filet and tequila bread pudding. While waiting for the first course, I noticed the full bar and open kitchen behind it. The salad arrived quickly and immediately, I noticed how large it was in that big bowl. It was almost entree sized! After about 2 bites, I realized that this salad was delicious. Oh my, those greens with the candied pecans, feta cheese and fresh sliced strawberries with some balsamic vinaigrette was so light and refreshing in taste. I am so happy I ordered it. One of the best salads that I have had in a long time (5). The bistro filet was next and consisted of 6 oz. of grilled beef on top of a bed of Parmesan risotto bathed in a mushroom sauce. Flavor wise this hit the spot. That sauce and risotto were on point. The filet was good but a little tough to chew but not too much. It was a very enjoyable entree overall (4). Finally the dessert was a large piece of warm bread pudding with some cream and glaze on it and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The warm melted bread pudding melted the ice cream quickly but it was still a very good tasting gooey mess. I liked it (4). Another positive with this meal was the fast and efficient table service. They did a good job taking care of us. This meal impressed me. For $25, it was a real value. I was told their menu entree salads are much larger than the one served to me! Everything I ate was very good tasting and filling. Honestly with the portion sizes this meal could have been in the $39 HRW dinner menu. Considering the price and quality of this meal I could almost give a 5 score. I hesitate because all 3 of my courses are not on their regular menu so for now this HRW menu is the only way to get them. I would very much like to return here have another meal from the standard menu.

Yelp
Lovely corner restaurant! American cuisine with incredible crispy French fries and fresh, delicious menu with cozy and warm ambiance! Waite staff professional and prompt! Everything an Houstonian expects and requires!

Yelp
I ordered the orange carafe of mimosas to share with a friend. It was pretty yummy. A good balance of bubbly, sweet and tart from the orange juice. We were fortunate enough to visit during HWR so I had the banana oat pancakes and the huevos rancheros. No regrets across the board. Service initially took a bit but after receiving our food the servers were diligent and friendly. For a Sunday it wasn't too packed but it was busy, nicely decorated and family friendly.

Yelp
Come in on a hot and sunny day lovely establishment walk in get seated about two minutes a server comes to seat me. First time here. Get the menu look it over and I decided to get the urban breakfast which comes with choice of eggs and choice of meat and comes with potatoes and fruit. I also get a Belgian waffle with strawberries. Get my food and drink, taste everything the urban breakfast was good eggs were cooked to perfection and bacon was crispy hard and potatoes was good also fruit they could leave the melons out but some people like melon I'm not a fan of melons. Didn't try the Belgian waffle got too full. So will try it when I'm at home. All in all everything was good for a late lunch. Urban breakfast 9/10 Watermelon cucumber martini 8/10 Belgian waffle?

Yelp
My first time there. The server recommended I get the lunch special $25. You pick an appetizer than a entrée then dessert everything was excellent.

Yelp
A cozy restaurant that could accommodate big and small groups. I would recommend making reservation as groups of people do come in fast during lunch time. I came here for HRW. I had the shrimp skewers, passion fruit salmon, and crème brûlée. The shrimps were seasoned perfectly. The habanero mango sauce was just a little spicy, and it paired well with the shrimps. My mouth was dancing in beautiful flavors of salty, spicy, and a little sweetness. My salmon was cooked to perfection. The passion fruit sauce was delicious, and went well with the salmon. Lastly, my dessert was ok. It was a little runny but smooth custard. Service wise, it could be better. I asked for ice tea and didn't get one. My server totally forgot about it.

Yelp
Food is great and service was nice. Overpriced though... Reminds me of an upscale Cheddar's.

Yelp
I wasn't wowed by my food at this location. I had the pete's Colorado omelette and i was disappointed. The omelette had nothing inside, but a little cheese and whatever toppings on top. There were only a few pieces of breakfast potatoes underneath. The biscuit and gravy were good even though one of them came looking like someone ripped the top off lol. My boyfriend had the lobster omelette which he said was tasty. We always go to the other location in the heights and never had an issue. So maybe they were just having a bad day in the kitchen? Pros: Service was good and my beer was cold and delicious.

Yelp
We ordered through DoorDash. Their side salad was one of the best side salads I've had. Very fresh spinach leaves, cherry tomato's, cucumber, thinly sliced red onion with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The Baja Fish Tacos come 3 to an order so my husband ate two and I had the third. Very tasty with cabbage and avocado. Their onion rings were excellent. Prices are on par with Mia's Table with comparable tastiness and quality.

Yelp
We arrived to this spot and there was plenty of parking. We walked in and were greeted and sat immediately on a Sunday morning. The customer service was on point. We were able to enjoy the regular menu and the resturant week menu. The pork belly was great. The waffle and omelet were good..not great..but good. The chicken fried chicken was pretty good. All was reasonably priced.

Yelp
I came here with my friend for dinner last night. She picked the place, I have never been so I thought I would give it a try. It is in a place so parking was great. The place looked typical, nothing special about it. Our waiter started us with water and gave us time to catch up instead of at some place they rush you to order. So we liked that because we haven't seen each other. Now the menu was okay. They have pasta options, burgers and other signature/dinner options as well. I was starving so I wanted carbs, I got the urban burger since I'm sucker for fried egg on my burger. Waiter ask if the fried egg was okay and if I didn't want it fried I can request it however I want the egg cook. I asked for over easy since I like my egg runny and also ask for no blue cheese because I am lactose. The burger came with fries and I was fine with. My friend ordered the Salmon Alfredo. Food looked good, key word, looked. My friend's pasta had no flavor, she had to keep putting salt and pepper and still was mediocre. My burger had no flavor as well, patty had no flavor, I think the only thing that had flavor was whatever sauce they had on the bun. I had to add salt and pepper in my burger and noticed that the egg was NOT how I requested which was over easy. The egg was fried and dry and of course they had the blue cheese spread on the burger. I had to take apart the burger and just wiped off the blue cheese and just pretty much ate all components separately. I didn't even finish the burger. The fries that came with my burger were soggy and you guess it, no flavor, not even salt. I added black pepper in the ketchup to at least give it some flavor. Lastly, I went to the bathroom and there was no AC in the bathroom and the light was flickering. Overall service was great! I don't know if the kitchen does not read the orders details or my waiter didn't put it in. Service was great but food was not good at all. I will not come back or recommend this place .

We stop to figure and i seee what a amazing flavor hiding heree!!! Try it!!!! Jhon was really knowledgeable about the menu. And outstanding

Yelp
I made reservation here for our company dept to have a team meeting lunch. Service was a bit slow, I recall only about 2 server and 1 busboy. I noticed my boss was getting antsy 30 mins in and no one have taken our food order. Food was great. I ordered the Pecan Crusted Chicken with mashed potatoes and onion rings. My only complaint is I wish the pecan chicken had a little more hint of salt. My coworker next to me was telling me how good the fettuccine alfredo was and he also added the pecan crusted chicken. I may have to give that a try next time. Food was great, they need to hire another server to help with taking order etc.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered a steak salad which was supposed to have beets and candied nuts. None of that came on it. Just a sad looking salad. Then almost choked on the stems that are from parsley. This salad has very few edible greens. Who eats whole parsley unchopped on a salad?! The entire bouquet is in here??! Horrible waste of money. Don't make a salad if you don't have the ingredients!!!

Robert W.

Yelp
Not the worst. Ordered takeout paid extra for some ingredients and got home and they left them off. Burger was average and fries less than average.
google avatar

Yelp
I made a reservation for 8pm last night and when I walked in it took 10 minutes to even be seated. When I had been finally seated I was never approached to be serviced but when someone walked in after me of another race they were seated and helped immediately. As a social media influencer, this was probably the most embarrassing thing I've had to face out of a restaurant because I had heard really great things about your food and it was the reason why I visited in the first place.

Richard H.

Yelp
Food was hardly enjoyable; I was not expecting the meatloaf to be like a sausage meatloaf instead of a real ground beef meatloaf, and the side dishes were a little on the salty side. Won't be returning and a disappointment. Let me know if this works or if you'd like any further changes!

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant, and the three stars attributes to the very nice, and eager server (zach). The ambiance and decor could use with a bit of upgrading. Restaurant entrance is confusing, and hidden by the outdoor sitting area. They have a good happy hour option on Thursdays (all day), and other days from 3 pm to 6 pm. I ordered their chicken sliders, lobster quesadilla, and tomato basil soup. The tomato basil soup was not creamy, and the accompaniment bread/toast that came with it was oil, hard, and hardly toasted. Small as you can see the bowl almost hiding it. The quesadilla had chunks of actual lobster but was soggy in the bottom side, and lacked flavour and seasoning by itself. The sauce that came with it didn't add much in the way of wow. The sliders were nothing special, looked lacklustre and the crisps that came with it was VERY oily. Overall, I was pretty miffed with the food.

Yelp
Just found this restaurant by recommendation of some friends. Casual dining, great diverse menu. The food was great and very well priced. Perfect for a casual neighborhood dining experience.

Yelp
Eh. The customer service was excellent but the menu was slightly lacking. We went around 6pm on a Saturday and while we had reservations, we didn't need them. The place was pretty empty though it did get a little busy around 7. We were delighted to learn happy hour lasted until 6 so we ordered a mojito and a martini. It seemed a bit like the waiter wasn't sure how to make the drinks and the taste showed. We then ordered spinach dip and empanadas. The dip was lacking but the empanadas were delicious. I ordered the steak because there's just not that much to choose from on the menu that enticed me. The steak was decent, the spinach was good if not a little salty and the potatoes were slightly bland. We were there for a birthday so we brought in our own cake so I can't attest to their desserts but the coffee was good and we weren't given grief for bringing in a cake which was appreciated. All in all the experience was ok though I probably won't find a reason to return.

Yelp
First time visiting there. It was a quiet cozy place. The food was good. Our server, Jose was very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. The chef was able to accommodate my food allergy with a delicious alternative and let me know menu items to avoid. We will return for sure. :-)

Yelp
This is a very mediocre restaurant. Nothing special. Nothing amazing. It almost seems like the restaurant was slapped together. There is no balance in the two dishes I got. I got to taste the southwest chicken quesadillas and the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. I also had a watermelon cucumber martini. The quesadillas- no real flavor, just a LOT of melted cheese with a sprinkle of everything else. Not seasoned. Bland. Boring. Watermelon Cucumber Melon- no garnish, just a pink drink in a martini glass, small things like that add to the experience. It was delicious though. Buffalo chicken wrap had potential but I kept biting into it and getting pure hot sauce. Just bites of Buffalo sauce. I literally spit it out. It was just TOO MUCH. this is coming from someone that is a sauce person but goodness. Fries are fresh, natural and amazing. My favorite part.

Yelp
Delicious Huevos Rancheros, French toast, burger is delicious and juicy, great service, and quick.

Yelp
Staff definitely get their hospitality from the owner. Cheese dip was owner is rude even made rude staff cry. Do not support this business. Wish I could give zero stars

Yelp
Was looking for a local place to get fish tacos for lunch and decided to try this place. Yuck. Worst tacos I've ever had. The fish were fried very soft. Weren't crispy at all, actually mushy, not well seasoned and no toppings like in description. No cabbage or avocado (???). Waste of time and money. Fries were also nasty and unseasoned.

Yelp
Came here for brunch after church. My future in-laws have been here a few times and enjoy it. I was not sure what to get, I was stuck between the pecan crusted salad and the eggs Benedict. Although not pictured it was above average, but not outstanding. The English muffin was a little too hard and it was also cold. The poached egg was the correct temperature and so was the hollandaise, but the English muffin kind of ruined it. The server boasted about the fries, but they weren't that great. They were all different sizes so they were all cooked differently. There weren't too many people there; however, they did have a large party. Overall service was not that great. We were all confused when a random server dropped off our check that we had never seen or had been introduced to us. We did not have a lot of food and it still took a little while. The kitchen might've just been backed up. Overall the food was good. The burger was really good and my future mother-in-law enjoyed the chicken sandwich. The service was just a little bit lacking.

Yelp
Holy cow! Thanks to my Yelp app for steering me in this direction whilst searching for a nearby sandwich place. I wanted something really good so I didn't want the usual Pot Belly. I have never heard of this place so I pulled into the parking lot (tons of parking) & looked at the menu. I called & asked how long would the wait be for a take out order & the very friendly gentleman who answered the phone stated 10 minutes. I quickly ordered the meatloaf sandwich with onion rings for H and a grilled chicken sandwich with fries for me. As I walked to the restaurant's door I passed their outdoor seating area. It was gorgeous. For a place that faces a parking lot, they created a private, pretty area with tables & seating areas with couches. I can't wait to come back on a nice day to dine al fresco! Upon entering the restaurant (which is very pretty with tons of booths for those who prefer booth seating, I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman (whom I spoke with on the phone) who told me my order would be ready in a few minutes. Once the meal was bagged he walked me to the door & gave me a copy of their brunch menu. Hello! definitely will be back for brunch. On that really pretty patio! The food traveled well, albeit this place is not too far from the casa. The sandwiches were outstanding. H's meatloaf sammy was topped with grilled onions a dab of mashed potatoes & gravy all sitting between thick sliced toasted bread. The grilled chicken was a huge hit with me. Juicy chicken breast grilled to perfection & topped with chipotle mayo, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato & red onions. The veggies were crunchy & the cheese super melty. The fries were standard, good but I really loved the onion rings. The batter used is similar to the fish & chips batter used in the UK. Will definitely be back. For brunch as they have an assortment of eggs benny that I want to try.

Yelp
Such a pretty local restaurant. Could host a nice brunch here, however I don't think I will come back. I did not receive the minimum customer service from the hostess who seems to also be doubling as a server. He has a friendly personality because I see him interacting with other tablets in that manner however I'm not getting that same attention and care. I was told to seat myself and he'll "meet me there" but I saw a couple walked to a table after I walked in. Also I was not asked what I wanted to drink, ever. The only question I was asked was "need more time, or are you ready to order?" 'I replied oh this is my first time here, I'll need more time' hoping to spark some recommendations out of him but nope... he just walked away coming back 5 mins later to see if I was ready now. Lobster Mac was good. Update: just found out that server/hostess was THE MANAGER

Yelp
The Urban American Kitchen is a nice place to have a meal. They are fair and treat you well.
google avatar

Yelp
First of all, we ordered a GRILLED Caesar salad which was ...not only unappetizing, but a GRILLED CAESAR SALAD!! He order the pork chop with unseasoned mashed popcorn which was slightly overcooked to me, but the only reason I knew that was because I REFUSED to eat the burnt bacon wrapped dry stuffed chicken and unseasoned fries that came with it and, to make matters worst, we told the waiter and he didn't even take it off our bill or suggest a substitute- NEVER RETURNING! If I could give negative stars, I would.
google avatar

Mahwish S.

Yelp
Came for Sat brunch today. They are still doing their restaurant weeks menu. Their spacing for Covid precautions is good. Seating every other table and there is outdoor seating. Waiters and Waitresses all work together to make sure you are being attended to. Food is really good with the exception of the deviled eggs. Those were disappointing and tasted like you were just eating a regular boiled egg. I had the Farmhouse Plate and my friend had chicken and waffles. The potatoes were delicious. Overall good brunch spot.

Yelp
Came here with lunch with my mom for the first time. Server was very sweet and accommodated my moms dietary restrictions. We ordered Pork belly bites - rich beer reduction (pretty good). We also ordered a Jicama salad and added ahi tuna which is pretty delish as well. My mom ordered the Grilled veggie as a sandwich with fries. Had a couple hiccups during service but between the server and manager, were able to get her the dish she was looking for which made the lunch better. Never got water refill (not asked) and service was slow with only 5 other tables in the restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant was not bad.

Yelp
Y'all this place is SO good. I always get the California sandwich and it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I seriously crave it all the time because of how good it is. The service is always amazing and the ambiance is always such a chill and inviting atmosphere. Love this as a lunch spot! You must try this place out. The waiter Brandon is awesome and always takes care of me! Loveee you Urban Kitchen!!

Yelp
We had brunch here today. The food was delicious as always! Great service, too. It's a cozy, laid back restaurant with a full bar. We love it here!!!

Yelp
We have been here plenty of times, today was a great disappointment. There were three tables, so a very slow time; in spite of that, our food took forever. Our waiter greeted us and told us to 'holler" when we were ready to order; he never checked on us and we literally had to make gestures to get his attention. I had finished my sangria way before the food came, and he never checked to see if I wanted another one. We had to actually make gestures again to see why our food was taking so long, no explanation. Food was ok, not great. We were never asked if the food was ok, our waiter never came back to check in us or to offer dessert. We had to 'holler' again to get the check. Sadly we might not come back.

Yelp
I decided to give urban kitchen a try for brunch because it's a local spot and close to my house. The service was good. I ordered the lobster quesadilla for an appetizer and I was very disappointed. The cheese was cold and did not pull apart. I sub the grits for risotto and it was a very salty and under cooked. The drinks were okay. I probably will not go back.

Tammy B.

Yelp
This is the worst tasting food I've ever eaten since I've been to Houston. the service was not good at all. Waitress seated us and only came back once the entire time we was there. Food was bland noo season at all and was just uuggghhh didn't even want any take out plates. My Margarita drink was spicy... I don't like spicy drinks and it wasn't even mentioned on the drink menu. $60 wasted on food and drinks. will not be going back ever and decentl definitely not recommending to anyone

Kiandra R.

Yelp
I stopped by this place once and it was ok. We were seated quickly service was great but the food was very lack luster. I ordered chicken and waffle the chicken was poorly seasoned thin chicken breast. I gave the 3 stars because the service was goods. I won't be back to this establishment again. I rarely eat out so when I do I expect my food seasoned.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered shrimp tacos with a "side of steamed broccoli". Unfortunately the shrimp had freezer burn and were over cooked, so I was kinda driven away and sent it back. We laughed at the broccoli the entire time at dinner because it was so large and not cut. Literally just a half head of broccoli that was steamed a sec, then put on a plate. Our servers were very nice and understanding and removed the tacos from our bill which was a nice gesture. Overall the prices were high for the quality of the food... I probably wouldn't come back unless I needed a bulk supply of broccoli

Yelp
How is this place getting high ratings for food?!?! Let me start off by saying I had no problems with the service. The problem is the FOOD! We went here for brunch for HRW and even before I stepped foot in here I knew I was going to be disappointed. I had looked up the ratings & reviews online before we went (which were pretty positive) but when I looked at pictures of the food most of it looked bland and unappealing, so in my gut I just knew I wasn't going to enjoy the food...and boy was I right! I myself ordered off the HRW menu. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Flatbread. Looked like the flatbread was burnt, barely any salmon and way too much vinaigrette! I took a few bites didn't finish it. The second course was the crab cake benedict. Horrible (I've had better at The Egg & I). I don't even think that is real crab meat they are serving! My mom ordered blueberry pancakes. The came out and served her (cold) pancakes with just a few blueberries on top! lol My mom was pissed but she ate (one) pancake anyway. My son's meal unappealing as well. My son loves waffles he didn't even touch the waffles here lol SMH The total of our meal came out to almost $60!! WHAT?? We will never step foot in here again. Waffle House serves a better breakfast than this!

Yelp
We chose this place after looking for something new tp try in our area. Louis, our waiter, was super friendly and welcomed us with some awesome tasting food from the kitchen. The artichoke dip was yummy, and I highly recommend the pecan crusted chicken entree. My choice of sides were mash potatoes and urban brussel sprouts. Excellent meal.

Yelp
Urban American Kitchen popped up on our radar while looking for a work lunch half the office could agree on. Their menu offers a little of everything so it's an easy selection if you have a couple picky folks in your group. I've eaten here a handful of times now, and overall have been happy with the food. The food menu offers salads, wraps, sandwiches, pasta, fish tacos, soups, steak, salmon, like I said, a little of everything. Pricing tends to range $12-$20's when you get to the dinner entrees, but you'll more than likely have a wonderful lunch for around $15. Portions are large and most of the folks I've eaten with here have been overall happy with what they ordered. The other thing that has been consistent unfortunately, is the extremely slow service. Every time we've come by for lunch, it's been a struggle to get the ball rolling on each step. Perhaps Dinner service is better but just sharing my findings from our lunch visits. If you're not in a hurry, come by for a great selection of American style food with large portions and excellent pricing.

Yelp
This is a good place to try out. There is plenty of variety and seating. The service is a bit slow for weekday lunch- plan to be there over 1.5 hours. The food was good but nothing special. I did enjoy my pecan crusted chicken. It has a nice texture and the portion was just right. The entrees from my colleagues didn't look too appetizing.... I think I will stick with the pecan chicken!

Yelp
It does not look like much from the outside, but it's a good spot for lunch. It's clean and the menu is full of tons of options, no matter what you are in the mood for. They also identify Vegan and Gluten Free options on the menu. I had the ribeye steak tacos and they were really good, and a lot of food for the price point! My friends indulged in the fish and chips and I tasted some of their "chips" (i.e. fries). Those were delicious fries!! Well done chef! And good service too!

Yelp
I ordered delivery through Uber Eats so my review is focused on the food quality , packaging and portions. In general the prices are a bit on the higher side, however the food is good . I ordered shrimp and grits, and truffles Parmesan fries. The packaging was good, the shrimp was presented well even in the box and it looked like it had stayed that way through the drive . The fries are accidentally ordered but I got those nonetheless . The fries were good , right amount of of Parmesan and truffle on them. The food was quite warm so I am happy they did keep the commute in mind and kept it hot. The shrimp and grits tasted great as the shrimps were well seasoned but not dry , and the grits were served with a pickle seasoning that added some zing to it. Overall I was happy with the order and am Curious to visit the place in person.

Yelp
My friend and I tried out the lunch menu for Houston Restaurant Weeks. The salmon cakes were really good. Good size, not too fishy, and the sauce was delicious. My friend thought the chicken was nice and juicy, but I thought it tasted a little bland. The mashed potatoes were good but nothing too special. Almond chocolate tart was nice way to end the meal. Sweet but well balanced. The poblano soup and pecan pie were tasty. Overall, the food was alright. Nothing in particular stood out, though.

Yelp
Hit this spot during restaurant week. None of the items on the menu where part of their normal menu. With each plate there one part that was liked and another that was disliked. For example the porkchop was not dry but the mango salsa didnt seem to do anything to help it. The vegetable medley that comprised of zucchini and squash (both of which I dont eat) was surprisingly good. I actually ate it all but it actually happened to be paired with the wife's salmon (we switched). The short cake was pretty good. It seem to be some fried type of breading but the cream or whatever it was tasted horrible. The bread pudding sounds way better than it tastes. Overall, take the good with the bad, hence the 3 stars.
