The staff was impeccable—I’ve only ever encountered such professionalism in Michelin-starred restaurants. The quality of the ingredients was definitely top-notch, and they were combined beautifully. The resulting dishes were truly astonishing. We visited on our second day in Budapest at Christmastime, and compared to the VakVarjú Restaurant we went to on the first day, the difference was huge. Naturally, this is reflected in the final bill, but it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the folklore museum in the basement deserves a special mention.

Very disappointing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and warm, with the Christmas decorations still up, and the overall warm design of the place, it looked promising but... The food wasn't of a high standard. We were 4 adults, we ordered for starters: salad (ok), foie gras (not recommended), salmon ( very boring) and for the main cours: steaks, fish (not good!) and beef stroganoff (ok). It is pricey without justifying the price. My steak especially was overdone, and a bit burnt. The house wine was excellent. Considering the price, I do not recommend this restaurant.

Popped in to have a drink on our way back from a long day of sightseeing. Ended up sharing a meal, large portions but pricey. Excellent service and great atmosphere. I liked the bread sticks on the table!

Very nice restaurant and the Goulash soup was really good especially if you add the sachet of spice to it. Very big establishment but it didn't feel crowded and on top of each other. I would recommend.

Wait staff are excellent. This restaurant owner is lucky to have this team. However, I regret taking recommendations from my hotel. It is completely overpriced compared to the price in many others near and even ones in Prague or Vienna I just visited. 50 ML wine was over 2200 Hungarian currency. Good dessert with pear Compote.

We made it reservation for my husbands birthday and was very surprised by the great food and service. Also visited the museum in the basement of the restaurant. Interesting place in the center of the city. Highly recommend!

Update Nov 2024: we went back to this restaurant with foreign guest and the disappointment was pretty big. I wanted to have the same dish as in March and now it was a tasteless stuffed cabbage for 20 euros. 20 euros for ONE forgetable stuffed cabbage😒. Needless to say I will not organize any more company diners here. March 2024: Super nice restaurant in the center of the city! It has a museum downstairs about Hungarian traditions. Food was very good, service was fast, friendly and helpful. Huge list of cocktails. Prices a little above average for city center.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was delicious, and everything was served fresh and perfectly cooked
