While exploring Kennington, I discovered Urban Botanica and instantly loved the combination of excellent coffee, tempting sweet treats, and lush greenery. The single-origin coffee is sourced through Horsham Coffee Roaster, where the owner previously worked, and my latte was rich, velvety, and beautifully made. I couldn’t resist the pistachio-topped pain au chocolat with its indulgent pistachio paste filling, and the counter was packed with other bakes like loaf cakes, cookies, brownies, and muffins. The café also doubles as a plant shop, with everything from rare Philodendrons to easy-care favourites, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A calm, welcoming spot with both indoor seating and a peaceful garden — definitely worth a visit if you’re in SE11.

Fantastic little coffee shop! Cosy atmosphere and lovely decoration. Coffee was delicious (ended up having two lattes!) pastry fantastic, lovely service, great background music. Wish I lived here so I could make it my regular spot!

Great local coffeeshop, worth a visit! Urban sits as my favourite local cafe in London. Their coffee selection is delicious, staff is polite and patient and the atmosphere is great. During busy times it can be slightly annoying as the place gets crowded and it is hard to find a seat, but a 10min wait while admiring the plants and pastries should be enough for you to sit.

Lovely coffee shop, with a great barista, tasty coffee and lots of lovely plants. I ordered a couple of flat whites, which were made to perfection. I had a snack also, which was nice. They have some small cakes and savoury croissants. The place is full of plants, which is really pretty. There are a few places to sit. The barista was very friendly, happy and obliging.

The Coffee is very well made and they use excellent quality beans. I had a flat white and a cake. The space is small and eclectic and they have a nice selection of plants for sale too. I was there on a sunny day and the open seating out back was super quiet and comfortable.

Urban Botanical is a beautiful small coffee shop that is perfect for plant lovers. Really nice atmosphere with seating inside and outside. The latte I had was very good, and the croissant decent (price in total: £5.55)! I visited a weekday morning, and it was not busy, but most people were getting their coffee to go. The barista is very friendly and skilled at their craft.

Happened upon this cute cafe when I had half an hour to kill and had a yummy macha latte and piece of GF cake and sat in amongst the plants killing some time. Lovely place, nice friendly staff, will be back next time I'm in the area!

Coffee is fantastic, outdoor seating is so darling, their pastries (we had two different slices of loaves) were perfect. Weirdly enough my favorite thing is the cup my latte was served in. It has indents for your thumbs to hold the cup rather than a handle and I just love that? Also, they sell plants. That’s pretty awesome.
