Urban Espresso Bar / UEB WEST

I can totally understand and respect that the staff doesn't want you to use the laptop during weekends. However, I found the way of informing about this a bit rude and Insufficient. I would like to suggest that the staff makes a big board or poster saying "NO LAPTOPS DURING THE WEEKEND", then we can all follow the rules by knowing them beforehand. Besides that, a good spot in the middle of the town to take some sun and drink coffee!!

More people should know how amazing of a ketchup they make. They should be famous for it or something. And then, they most be sued for having an addictive toast -- the sweet potato & lettuce one! I would eat it every day if I could. Good food and coffee, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere:).

Coffee and staff are lovely, there's space for both those who want to use laptops and who don't. However, the food was quite expensive and not very tasty- my toastie was 9 euros (with ketchup), and it lacked a lot of flavour/salt. For this price, I expect better.

Pro: best banana bread of my life and smoothest milk foam in a cappuccino I’ve ever had / contra: 1) takeaway coffee takes 10 minutes to be prepared (which does not include the time it takes the baristas to notice people queueing at the takeaway window) and the coffee itself always tastes burnt which must have something to do with the espresso machine.

This cafe is just okay, but nothing more to it. The ambience is nice, and the staff is helpful. However, it’s probably just not right for me. As I kept exploring more breakfast spots, I went here for a quick breakfast bite. Firstly, I couldn’t find anything interesting on the breakfast menu to try out. I’m not a fan of uitsmijter served here, so that wasn’t an option. Nothing else caught my eye, so I asked the waiter if it was possible to make an omelette (which wasn’t on the menu!), and they kindly agreed. It was sort of okayish. I tried a piece of carrot cake with my coffee (which was good!), and it was again fine, though a bit dry, but it didn’t taste like something I would want to come back and try again. I mean, the tastiest thing in the cake was the cheese frosting which is a simple cheese cream with powdered sugar, and this is not the part you usually love your cakes for🤷🏻‍♀️

Best coffee i had in Rotterdam so far, perfect temperature, acidity and overall balance. Their caramel cake was also nice

Their cake selection is excellent and lunch options very experimental and tasty. Coffee is not the best tbh, but it‘s alright! Staff is friendly and you can work there with your laptop

The atmosphere here is really nice. It's a good place to grab a coffee and read a book or open your notebook and work. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the service is efficient. They have several options in their food menu, which fits all tastes.
