Very helpful, pleasant employees. Welcoming, attentive but not overly present in the areas you are perusing, keeping the shopping relaxing and stress-free. The store offers FREE design services, and definitely having superior options within the furnishings, makes that even more appealing! What a gift!! I absolutely love the many layers of what is available for purchase, and I am always grateful to have the chance to stop in to shop whenever I am in town. Whether for our own home, or gifts for friends or family, I love this store.

I was treated incredibly rudely by an employee. My family and I went into this store, and as we were browsing, the music playing through the speakers suddenly stopped. It was replaced by a loud, obnoxious "popping" sound. Two young boys walked past me giggling, but I didn’t think much of it—until I noticed a record player that was still spinning with the needle off to the side. Apparently, the boys had been messing with it, and no one was around to fix it. Wanting to help, I carefully placed the needle back on the record, and the music started playing again. Within 30 seconds, an employee—a short, small-statured man—came over and, in a scolding tone, told me the record player was for employees only. I looked at him and said, “Okay?... Why are you telling me this?” He continued, insisting that he tells everyone in the record area that the player is only for employee use. His tone made it clear he assumed I was the one who had been messing with it. I explained that two kids had tampered with it, and I had simply fixed the needle so the record/needle wouldn’t get damaged. Despite this, he kept repeating that no one is allowed to touch it—as if he wasn’t hearing me or didn’t believe me. We exchanged words again, and I calmly reiterated that I was only trying to help. He finally walked away but not before sarcastically saying, “Well, I came to say thank you,” as he turned his back to me and walked off. I immediately turned to my family and said, “Let’s go.” And we left. No apology was offered for the way I was spoken to. The employee simply watched us walk out. That was the last time I will ever set foot in that store. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. And by the way—if you don’t want people touching your precious record player, maybe keep it behind the counter.

If you want something completely unique for your home, come to Urban Renewal!! I'm always amazed at what I find here. So glad they are successful & a crowd of buyers.

Google
Absolutely adore this place whenever I’m in St. George, I never walk out empty handed. They have furniture, decor, and cute little trinkets on one side. Then, a slew of vintage and somehow updated clothing every month or so right through an archway. Everyone who works here is super fun, and also very helpful when asking for help. I have to say this place is dangerous, but I’ve found pieces here that I keep wearing for years, and can’t seem to let go of. Highly recommend :)

Google
It’s on me for not being aware of their return policy and assuming it’s like a regular shopping experience. I purchased two clothing articles while out with my niece shopping that I didn’t try on till home. Tried returning or exchanging for a different size just one week later not used and tags still on. All sales are final. Which for the regular shopper here is probably obvious but for me it wasn’t and I don’t remember being stated in check out. Make sure you’re gonna love it and keep it before spending your money here.

Google
Had a fun adventure in these 3 stores shopping for little gifts to take home. Ended up with some seasoning herbs and a few adorable kids books for gifts to take home. There a was a lot of amazing finds that were unfortunately to big to drive home with me. The staff was friendly and helpful!!!

Google
This store is so fun, we will be back, and highly recommend you coming in and spending time in here. There's old, new, and amazing creativity all around you. It is pricy, but worth it. This place is an experience.

Google
cool store with a really good selection of pretty much everything. I've taken some great pictures in here and bought some good stuff. I am sad they got rid of the poster area. that was literally the 2nd coolest part of the store.

Yelp
I mostly shop at Nordstrom and Anthropology. At first I was sticking my nose in the air thinking this is just your average thrift shop. Boy was I wrong. Found a Tory Burch skirt, Free People jeans and much more. Obsessed! Have absolutely different, stylish, and fun clothes, home, and gift items. A must see!! Oh, and sweetest employees ever :)

Yelp
This store along with its sister stores next to each other are AMAZING!!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful from the time I walked in till I left. Amazing selection- from furniture gems to antiques to the clothes. You can tell they spend a lot of time curating everything with great detail and care. Some reviews on here say it's overpriced- but this is a curated hand picked store- it's not random thrifted items. It's very organized and displayed beautifully. I could spend hours in here! Highly recommend coming here if you're in St. George. Probably my favorite shopping store in the city. I found so many gems!

Yelp
The clothing part inside Urban Renewal is called " having been ness" This is where you can find the absolutely best assortment of women's new and gently preloved clothing. Lots of high end clothing at a fraction of retail. I always find something amazing from brands like free people and other Revolve brands that are impossible to find elsewhere. They also have cool shoes, handbags, belts, etc. I never leave empty handed. Definitely worth checking out...often ‼

Yelp
Love Urban Renewal! It's Always interesting and entertaining. The staff is great as well.

Yelp
This is a beautiful store with a well curated inventory, but the prices are high by like 30%. Great clothing section. Cool furniture. But again, items priced in line with new things. Pyrex bowl set: $150 Interesting book: $75 Pretty dress that was $50 new - still $46 used.

Lauren W.

Yelp
I got here right before 6:30 and it says closed but online it says they're open until seven. I'm really disappointed because I'm from out of town and I love this store. Either change your hours online or stay open until the correct time pls.

Yelp
On Sundays this small town so disappoints me on a Sunday. But if you want to go to an awesome place that's open. Come over here!! I saw some awesome high end vintage furniture here!! They sell some cool clothes here mostly for women. I saw some vinyl records that I can add to my collection. I would definitely come here all the way from Las Vegas just to do my shopping!! The staff is very outgoing and awesome. Love this place!!! I could imagine a lot of Realtors use this place for homes and decors for their models.

Yelp
Beautifully curated store that has three parts. The first part is a mix of vintage and modern house pieces with a record selection and poster section towards the back, and small kids section towards the middle. The second part is an array of thoughtfully picked clothing and shoes - including both woman and men apparel. Then the third and newest section is an interior designer's dream. Beautiful house pieces with newer clothing pieces sprinkled around. Highly recommend to visit if you're in town!

Yelp
3 unique stores in one: -Urban Renewal -Having Been Ness -Autobiography of Objects We started in Urban Renewal, which sells furniture, home decor/accessories (pillows, art, candles...), records, and more. Some is vintage and consignment, and some is new. "Cool old things mixed with cool new things." Everything is artfully arranged and displayed...cozy home vibes and decorating inspo all around. If I lived nearby, I'd be in here often! We quickly popped into Autobiography of Objects which sells more home decor and some fun women's accessories (bags, hats...). And we returned to visit Having-Been-Ness, the best consignment/vintage store I've visited to date. They sell pre-loved, name brand items for women and men. Like the other two store (and unlike many other consignment shops), it's light and bright inside. It's immediately inviting, like a retail store. And I was really drawn to their organization....it spoke my language! Rather than chaotic racks of all kinds dresses/skirts/shirts organized by size, they sort the store by colors/themes. You want colorful/tropical clothes? Look here! You want neutrals? Look there! It made for such an easy and calming shopping experience. I bought a Joie summer sweater and returned the next day to find an awesome shirt for my husband. Loved this store so much and love that we're giving new love to some pre-loved items!

Yelp
Absolutely awesome shop that extends through I think 4 store fronts! There's something for everyone here! From records to second hand clothes to new furniture and mixed home accessories, I spent a good amount of time here.
google avatar

Nycole R.

Yelp
Where do I start with this store? Well, I started on one end-and was surprised to find that it keeps going and going. When I finally did hit the end, I had visited several storefronts without realizing it. From the outside, it appears that you're entering a thrift or consignment shop. But once inside, you'll notice that there are also new pieces of furniture and home decor among all the vintage gems. One could literally spend hours browsing through the massive collection and not get bored. There is something here for everyone. Be sure to plan enough time to properly appreciate the inventory rather than just quickly walk through it all.

Yelp
RUDE - coming from Vegas we were looking for cool joints to checkout. This had good reviews. And I don't know why?! Way overpriced used clothes you can buy for 85% less at a DI or Savers.., no joke! That's not what prompted me to leave a review. The lil brunette Asian looking chic working in the clothing section on Sunday 12/13/20 at 1:45 pm was NASTY! Made us turn around and walk right out! Girl you need to work back of the house ONLY jobs! Boo this joint

Yelp
Where do I even begin?! My friends and fellow Las Vegans have always talked about "THE store" in Saint George. Though they attempted to prepare me for the wonder of Urban Renewal, I had to see it for myself. As such, with our most recent trek to Saint George, this was a definite stop. Upon arriving to Urban Renewal, the store stood out amongst the antiqued buildings, as it looks...well, urban. The store is chopped up into several different rooms, all offering different types of items, from clothing to furniture to decor and everything in between. Right when I thought I hit the end, another room with different items would pop up. A great deal of the clothing and accessories are name brand and (I believe) everything is new. I could easily outfit my entire apartment and myself with findings from Urban Renewal. Everything was so unique! I will definitely be returning to Urban Renewal upon my next visit to Saint George.

Yelp
Pretty much everything the thrift store shopper could hope for. A very, very large selection of items from clothing, furniture to art.

Yelp
Looking for something to do when you find yourself with a little time. This place is ideal if there isn't anything specific you're looking for but are open to exploring possibilities. The men's section is so small is is confined to one sad rack. So, this isn't a great place for men's clothing...but ideal for hipster looks for women. I've found two pairs of great boots for my wife here!

Yelp
Now, THIS is an antique shop. It's huge, spanning two store fronts, with a third smaller section off to the East, and an upstairs furniture-only area too! The front window displays are creative and fantastic and very well done. Now, if you're looking for, say, estate jewelry or the Queen's old side table or whatever that's not what you'll find here (there are other antiques stores that do offer that in St. George). This one is more on the vintage side, and honestly half the fun is wandering around admiring the displays. Everything is arranged so pleasingly you can't help but admire it. They have a plethora of different items: the aforementioned furniture, lots of prints and framed pieces and other decorations, maps, dishes, books, records (a whole little alcove of them!), and so forth. I'd say about 70% of the items are vintage or antique, but they do have new or more current used goods as well. There are even tempting caramels at the cashier! Prices are quite reasonable for everything except the vintage clothing and accessories, which really was probably closer to a thrift shop in product age, and while fun, less impressive as compared to other stores I frequent. Still, if you live in St. George this is probably your best bet for used clothing, and they did have some fun things: designer bags, 50's and 60's hats, fur coats, costume jewelry, etc. My favorite find were grab bags of various linens for $5.95. My mom and I each bought one, then dumped out their contents and took turns picking our favorites. Between the two bags there were probably about twenty pieces total, consisting of doilies, hand embroidered or cross stitched hankies and dresser scarves, pillow cases, aprons, and so forth. A few were stained or slightly damaged, but most were in good to excellent condition. Our group of ladies that visited this shop was rather varied, with different styles and interests, and all but one were able to find enough to entertain them for a good hour. You may not leave having made a purchase (though most of us did), but it's the sort of store where that result doesn't leave you feeling like you've wasted your time.

Yelp
I used to love this store. I bought a ton of stuff here knowing they marked the prices sky high, but I bought from here anyway. I found a coat on a mannequin and asked to sell it to me when they were ready. When it was time to sell it to me, I was living in a different state and told them I was going to pay over the phone with a credit card and arranged for someone to pick it up. They told me they were not going to sell it to me for that reason. Lol Such a weird flex.

Yelp
I absolutely love this store. I'm not sure if the clothing part is also called Urban Renewal but it's just my favorite. I drive up from Vegas because I absolutely love St. George and I always make it to UR. I've never had a bad experience and I absolutely love taking time to look around the cool furniture and definitely to shop around. I can't wait to go back!

Carmen E.

Yelp
Fun and unique store. Great selection of thrifted clothes. My only complaint is the overwhelming scent throughout the store. It wasn't a bad smell, it was just so strong that it made both and my daughter feel sick.

Allison P.

Yelp
I love this store!! When I visit St George it's my first stop. I always end up finding so many cute things!
google avatar

Mich R. R.

Yelp
Really cool all around thrift shop. The place could almost be a warehouse! It's Huge ! If you know what you're looking for then it's much easier. I did Not, so three hrs later I had only covered 1 1/2 of the giant rooms! I Have to go back! There is so much but it's all displayed well. There are also plenty of friendly people walking around ready to help you. Especially sweet & helpful was Taylor & Linda! Those two are the kind of people that the world needs more of!!! Thank you again girls! Oh! I almost forgot- the caramels! I'd be in trouble if they sold the pretzel caramels by the box! So delicious! See ya'll soon!

Jeanne C.

Yelp
Eclectic mixture of items new and old. Definitely the best store we went to in that area.

Sarah P.

Yelp
Brilliant and provocative displays, competent prices, generous help. Clothing darling and home habitat goods are durable, edgy, warm, welcoming. I'm a fan.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute store with great finds! Employees were helpful and friendly. Lots of variety's and prices aren't too bad for most items.

Yelp
We loved exploring Urban Renewal. Every room has a different array of items on display, with a strong emphasis on vintage more than antiques. There are new items for sale as well. We had fun poking around and ended up buying two new throw pillows for our sofa and a street sign that my daughter wanted for her room. Staff was helpful without being overbearing, which I like. I will definitely visit Urban Renewal again when I'm back in St. George.

Sherry M.

Yelp
Awesome shop that has such a great variety of items. I noticed pots outside that I was interested in and Called rather than stop! Jenny was delightful, informative and sent me pictures including other pots! WOW! I went in today to make the purchase. Her team was amazing to deal with AND they are giving customers appreciation gift cards for future purchases! And delivery!!! So impressed!!! I will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Love, love, love this store! We have become frequent visitors to St. George, we make sure every visit includes time to show here! An usual consignment shop, in my experience, the clothing merchandise is so well displayed by color, size and style, which really helps you discover the perfect finds for you! And the items are clean, gently worn, then priced at a great value. Then there is the wonderful home goods that are so well displayed, they help you see how they would look in your home. I always take how some great and unusual values, plus I brought my adult kids this trip, and they bought some terrific items. I travel here from California, and sometimes I drive, which is the best for shopping! don't miss this spot.

Yelp
I had an interesting experience here which prompted me to write this review and give them such a low rating. They had their mannequin in a really cute shirt. Everything is one of a kind because it's used. The sales lady told me that it takes them a long time to get the mannequins dressed so if I was interested in the shirt, the best they could do was put my name down on a waiting list until they change out the clothes in a few months. This seems silly to me. Why advertise your clothing on a mannequin if you aren't willing to sell the item right then and there? I needed the shirt for family pictures the next day, so that was a bust. They lost out on $30. That being said, I do like all the decor and furniture. It's overpriced for used items, but they have some pretty awesome stuff.

John B.

Yelp
We ordered a couch and loveseat in June of 2020, which were eventually delivered in August. The couch arrived with no legs, and we were missing two throw pillows. After a few weeks we did indeed get the correct legs but no throw pillows. It is now the middle of October and still no throw pillows. We have been told numerous times by the owner that it's all being worked out, but still nothing. The communication from Urban Renewal is lacking to say the least. I keep asking myself, how hard is it to get two throw pillows? From this experience dealing constantly with them in trying to get my order completed, I will never, never, never do business with this company again. They're very friendly and nice, to your face, but they obviously do not know how to get the job done. I'm exasperated with constantly sending texts and phone calls to get this taken care of.
google avatar

Nanette B.

Yelp
Everytime I'm in St. George I stop to shop at Urban Renewal. I just scored several records, cute distressed metal coasters($2.99!) and two metal and glass candlesticks. The addition of a new store front sells home goods.
google avatar

Marley M.

Yelp
My favorite place that we stopped at in downtown Saint George! This shop is nicely curated and you can find so many nice gems. There are three sections, the first one is filled with random goodies, nicknacks, and home items. The second room has vintage clothes, shoes, and accessories. The last room is full of furniture. I would highly recommend this place. I am from California and if I ever find my way back to Saint George I will stop in again.
google avatar

Sandy N.

Yelp
I love this store because of the large selection of pieces that they have as well the prices for furniture and little random items. The fashion is overpriced but everything else is usually a great deal! I actually found a book here for $5 that I sold for $120! You can seriously find some lost treasures in this place. I love how things are organized by room like kitchen, bedroom, living room, etc. They organize it like it's a scene out of a magazine making it so easy to shop for things because everything is already styled and it's easy to envision in your home. The only reason I didn't add more stars is because the customer service is seriously lacking. I've been here a few times and each time no one has greeted me or even approached me to ask if I needed help! I never know who works here unless they are behind the counter. During my first visit there was a taller male behind the counter who was super nice and gave us a little more background on the store including that they offer shipping to Vegas. During my last visit there was a Hispanic male who helped us and he was a little sassy with a bit of an attitude, I don't know he just wasn't very friendly. We bought some wooden slabs for a table we are making, and asked for some shrink wrap because we didn't want to get the car dirty. When we went to pick it up he only shrink wrapped the middle which was like a foot but the slabs were 7 feet long. We asked if he could wrap more and he was a little sassy and said "Well that's all the shrink wrap I have left but if you want I can give you the rest of the roll anyways if you want to add more" idk it's not that he was rude it was just the way he said it as if we didn't believe him or something. He was really nice and friendly to another couple that was there so I don't know what happened with us. Either way if they just had more people walking around the store offering help it would be cool or even just to greet and see if you are doing ok. I'm still going to keep coming here because it's such a great store but some little improvements would definitely make it one of my favorite places.

Yelp
Urban Renewal - how am I the first to review? Everyone I know loves this place. I'd give ten stars if I could. I live in New England and scour vintage shops everywhere I can, but I never see the gorgeous trifecta of selection, quality and staging taste that Jenny puts into Urban Renewal. My St George visits are not complete unless I've stopped in - usually a few times, because it's huge. The pieces and displays are always dreamy and inspiring. Everything is reclaimed/consigned, nicely rehabbed or upcycled, and even reasonably priced, whaaat? They have reclaimed wood boards, farm ladders, cast iron fixtures now and then, and big specialty pieces that will haunt your dreams if you pass 'em up. Take it all home and tell everyone you inherited or scavenged everything yourself. I'm completely jealous of St Georgians for having this unexpected, unforgettable gem and hope you support it for many years to come. Any visitors to the area MUST go.
google avatar

Melody S.

Yelp
If you're passing thru St George this is worth a detour off the freeway. Super cool... I bought some retro posters, a couple adorable cast iron mice, some plastic cucumbers to display in my old pickle jar and some vintage toys. I mean, fun things you can't find in normal (boring/yawn) stores.
google avatar

Kirsten N.

Yelp
I have shopped here for over 10 years. First while living here, and now every time I visit! It's fun just to wander through because you can always count on finding unique and interesting pieces! And the great thing is, there are items for all price ranges, so if you're willing to spend some time hunting then you definitely won't walk away empty handed. (I especially love hunting through the clothes and jewelry!) Cool staging, huge selection, great style. A St. George MUST. I love this place.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Being a professional Interior Designer, myself, this store is one of the greatest treasures I've EVER visited and I've been all over the country!! Jenny and her staff's talent to merchandise and create a true experience is second to none!!! The prices and value of her inventory is also INCREDIBLE!!! You must stop to see this place!!
google avatar

Jessie F.

Yelp
My favorite store in all the land, and not just because I was lucky enough to work there for years! Now that I'm in a different city, I am missing it so much. I bought almost all of my clothing, shoes and home decor here, not to mention amazing gifts. The creativity, fun and attention to detail made being in the store daily a pleasure. The mix of new and vintage in every part of the store helps to spark imaginations and see everyday objects in a new light. Truly an unexpected treasure in southern Utah!
google avatar

Susana C.

Yelp
This is the place if your a treasure hunter of all things you love on Pinterest ‼ old linens, chandeliers to die for, furniture that you see in home show magazine and the price ???? Great! Prices are reasonable and not outrages. Customer service ... out of this world. The sales women was helpful and because I live out of state, she had some helpful hints to ship their great treasures back to California. This is a place I will visit time and time again.
google avatar

April R.

Yelp
I love the home decor side, but the girl over the clothing side the day I went in was less than helpful. I found a jacket I really wanted and it had a six inch tear inside. I brought it up to ask her about it and she said she would call in me a few days. That was two weeks ago... nice... missed out on a sale since she was so obviously busy...
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
Ok. I will start by saying that it is a VERY good thing that having just finished a graduate degree, I do not have much cash (and more than enough debt). That being said, this is the kind of place where you may just find that thing that you have been looking for for much of your life. The energy is awesome, too! No pressure, just smiling helpfulness. We will be back!!!
google avatar

Carissa F.

Yelp
Love this store! So many cool vintage items from clothes and shoes to couches and art!
google avatar

JM L.

Yelp
We stop in here every time we're in town. Cute little antique knick knacks. I just got an antique blue glass Ball mason jar. It's a good spot to spend some time in the afternoon. I've gotten gifts and hats and bags here for friends.

Brenda P.

Yelp
Great items, presented beautifully and friendly prices as well. What a great find. My favorite shop in St. George. Friendly staff as well!
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
Very cool shop with lots of original and interesting pieces. Lots of high quality pieces and friendly staff.
google avatar

Michaela S.

Yelp
This is an interesting store, the items are beautiful and very vintage-antique feeling. Customer service is a bit lacking though, I was in the store for 45 minutes and not a single employee attempted to greet me or acknowledge me. The clothing was definitely over-priced. It's consignment meaning not new so I shouldn't have to pay new prices for used clothing. But the store was very pretty and made for a great window shopping day.
google avatar

Shauna S.

Yelp
Fun antique store with furniture, records, linens, jewelry, clothes, dishes, etc. And candy! (New) You can special order fabric couches.
google avatar

Aurora B.

Yelp
This place is great. Really cool and unique items. Prices are fair, especially for clothing section.
google avatar

Diana O.

Yelp
Aesthetically, this is probably the best looking consignment shop in all of St George...and that's probably the most positive thing I can say about this place. I always frequent this shop when I come visit and every time I come back here, I like it less and less. I hate to say it, but the staff is not very pleasant or approachable; they may want to focus training staff on how to be more customer service oriented and not be so condescending with their potential clients. The prices vary from average to somewhat overpriced, but honestly I would expect to pay those prices here in California, not so much in Utah! The decor and furnishings are worth looking at and maybe buying here, and perhaps some of the vinyl, but everything else is insignificant and not as charming (why would I ever buy used modern brand clothes here!?); if you're an avid thrift shopper and local to this town, just go to the D.I. or Salvation Army. You'll obviously spend more time looking through a general thrift store but you won't break the bank and you'll likely find a greater selection of vintage items...this is not the place to find stuff like that.
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
It's an excellent thing that this place isn't closer to my home in Salt Lake, because I'm pretty sure both my wife and myself would have all our credit cards maxed out and our paychecks spent before they came in if it was farther north. One of my favorite home furnishing stores is Restoration Hardware. Urban Renewal is everything that Restoration Hardware is, with a larger array of styles, the same high quality, but about 25% to 50% off the cost...no I'm not exaggerating. I'd furnish my entire home, beach house, cabin, and my neighbor's house with the crap I saw here. If you're into upgrading the looks of your home, come by here. I will absolutely stop by every single time and waste $500 bucks every time we go down to Saint George to see grandma...and grandma might be getting more visits now that I know this place exists.
