Urban Residences Maastricht

While the apartment was spacious and in a great location, I would not recommend staying here. The furniture needed a deep clean, and although having a washer/dryer was convenient, it never fully dried clothes and kept giving errors. The biggest disappointment was the service – the receptionist was extremely rude. We expected AC but only had underfloor cooling with no fans provided, so we had to keep windows open. She even came to our door in the morning to demand city tax payment (which I think I overpaid since it was just 2 of us and she charged for 3 people), despite me providing my card at check-in, and was upset when we didn’t hear the doorbell. Overall, poor service overshadowed everything else.

Stayed 2 nights in May 2025, 2 adults and 2 young children. ||The accommodation here exceeded all expectations - so much so, we stayed an extra night. The unit was huge, it had a very fresh feeling with neutral colors and great natural lighting. Block out blinds were great for sleeping (especially to get our 2 children to bed). ||The kitchen was fully equipped and all the appliances throughout were Miele. Inclusion of a washer/dryer was really helpful (you do need to bring your own clothes washing powder). ||Car parking at the hotel for unloading was helpful and we’d suggest using the offsite parking. No lift made unloading a bit more difficult, but this seems to be common throughout Europe. The accommodation was a bit difficult to navigate with a stroller so we’d suggest this mightn’t be a good choice if you need accessibility. ||Reception were really helpful and responsive to our requests, even though it was a public holiday. ||The location was perfect and walking distance to so many different restaurants, cafes and shops.||Highly recommend this great place!

This is singularly the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in and it nothing like the marketing. We arrived at 3 pm to find the door to the hotel locked. We rang a number and were told there had been an emergency and no staff were on site( this was later proved to be a lie when the hotel manager told us they had decided to go home early during the Andre Reui concert!). We were never informed of these changes prior to our arrival. We finally gained access via a keypad and searched for our room. We had booked a delux duplex apartment and what greeted us was anything but deluxe. The room smelt, all of the white curtains and bedding were an off grey and stained. The furniture was old and damaged and everything was stained. The whole place was filthy. During our 3 day stay it was never cleaned. We tried to contact somebody at the hotel but nobody responded. We contacted Expedia and finally the manager rang. She was rude and aggressive and told us there was nothing she could do. Eventually she offered another room the following day but couldn’t guarantee it would be better. We cleaned the place and stayed there . Expedia have give. Us compensation. Do not stay in this hotel.

Very spatial room. We could split sleeping and living into different areas. Also, they offered a lot of utensils in kitchen so you can easily cook with IH or the oven. The location is perfect, the receptionist is pro and kind. If you try to book this hotel and you are wondering if you can drive your car into their garage. I can share the experience. I could drive my VW Tiguan into the garage easily. Even the entrance is narrow but I saw there was BMW X5 which is larger than Tiguan.

Great Location, But Disappointing Cleanliness and Service ! The apartment is in a fantastic location, but our experience was not great. Check-in and check-out process was poorly managed. We were even asked to leave the apartment before the official check-out time, and housekeeping was waiting at our door, making us feel rushed. While the apartment itself is beautiful, it is quite worn out and in need of refreshing. The cleanliness was a major issue—there was a significant amount of dust and dirt around the bed area, which felt very unhygienic. A deep cleaning is definitely needed.

Location is good. Room service was terrible. No room service during my 4 nights. I had to buy toilet paper from the nearby supermarket. First hotel that I had ever seen where the shower is inside the bedroom. They locked my room because the lady claimed that I smoked in the room and demanded that I pay a 75 Euros fine. Without a choice, I gave her my credit card. She then said, I'll accept 50 in cash. BIG QUESTION MARK ❓❓❓

Our stay at Urban Residences was perfect from start to finish. The reception was extremely warm and welcoming. My family of three spent two nights in a deluxe Maisonette and the size of the apartment exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and very well equipped. It was so great to have a washer and dryer! The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning was much appreciated in the heat. Maastricht is a charming city and our stay at Urban Residences made our visit a very memorable one.

We love this place! This was our second stay at the Urban Residences and, yet again, it was flawless. The staff are always so welcoming and our room was plush, well-appointed and gave us all the features we needed. There's a hob for cooking, an oven, Nespresso, washing machine, tumble dryer.... all quality items which worked perfectly.||The location is right opposite the Vrijthof Square and is absolutely perfect in terms of exploring Maastricht (one of our favourite cities anywhere). There's a great supermarket a 2 minute walk away, the train station is a 8-10 minute walk from the hotel, and the whole of Maastricht is on your doorstep.||This is a highly highly recommended place to stay.
