Urban Residences Rotterdam

We stayed over the Christmas period and had a fab visit. We stayed in a family suite which was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed and the apartment was very warm. The floor to ceiling windows give great views across the city and the building is in a very convenient central location for exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked through Expedia and there was a mix up with the booking. The staff at Urban Residence quickly resolved the issue. Recommended.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience, The lady at reception was amazing and so kind and welcoming I believe her name was (Mildred) .. she was very helpful and just a wonderful person! The family studio we had was perfect with and amazing view, clean and comfortable! Extremely happy with my stay here And will definitely return 😊

Lovely large family studio. Location is amazing right in the centre off all of the shops. Main bed was wonderfully comfortable. Sofa bed a little hard. Fantastic full kitchen. 2 sinks in the bathroom. Shower a little stiff to turn on and off but lovely and hot with good water pressure. Separate toilet. Lady on reception was extremely helpful and told us where there was an excellent supermarket (1 minute walk away) We had a wonderful mini-break in Rotterdam! Recommend Cannibale Royale restaurant.

We had some pleasant stays here a few years ago and often returned whenever we visited the city. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. We stayed for four nights and faced multiple issues every day. There was no hot shower water in winter, and while the shower was fixed after we reported it, a new problem emerged—a persistent leak in the bathroom. It continued for three nights, with the sound of dripping water audible even with the bathroom door closed. Additionally, the heating system in our studio didn’t work, the elevator hallway felt a lot more comfortable in temperature than our own studio, which is ridiculous. A technician later informed us that the system had been set to the wrong temperature. To make matters worse, the large glass windows, which are meant to provide guests with enjoyable city views, were filthy and seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The customer service was kind but also left much to be desired. We had to come down to the reception multiple times to solve issues and felt as though our concerns were not a priority, and there seemed to be little effort or urgency in addressing the problems we encountered.

We have previously stayed at the Urban Residences and were most impressed at that time. On this visit, however, we found the apartment to be badly in need of cleaning/decoration/maintenance. Several cracks in floors and chipped/marked paintwork. Shower head would not stay in holder so had to hold it. Sinks and floors stained and floor of balcony was filthy. We did not use it as it was so dirty. Very poor value for money and would not book another stay. Situation is great but otherwise not up to standard. Some staff very pleasant others ignored you.

Great location in the center of Rotterdam, the cleanliness of the rooms needs too much improvements, the receptionists are friendly and helpful, if you will stay in Rotterdam and you need the center of it then I’d recommend staying in Urban otherwise you can find other choices. Would give poor to average to the property, especially for the price. The location is great with access to downtown and some nice neighborhoods. Also like the views from the apartments. But they do a terrible job on overall maintenance. The sofa was very stained and so disgusting that we didn't use it, the shower leaked, there was peeling paint, one of the light fixtures was broken and needed an incredibly simple repair, the bathrooms were missing towels, and the balcony had no seating so wasn't very useful. Also found staff nice but not very helpful for all of us who were trying to check in early because of the rainstorm. Even though some rooms were available we were all told to wait til check-in time at 3pm even though the majority were there for a festival that started at that time. Not very accommodating at all. And didn't know the building has NO AIR CONDITIONING! We were lucky it was rainy and mild while we were there unlike our last trip because we would have suffered. Who ever heard of a modern day hotel or apartment complex/office building without air conditioning? We won't be back.

Absolutely stunning appartment, and in a great location I would advise anybody to stay here it is amazing.

I stayed at this property for a conference I had in Rotterdam. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very generous in size, plus a great balcony overlooking downtown. The price of the room per night is great value and it's right in the heart of town. If you rent a car or have a car, you'll be thrilled to try out the car elevator! It's a weird sensation, but cool nonetheless... I'd give this 5 stars, but the shower was horrible, with the water dribbling out at full blast. Allocate 30 minutes for a simple shower. Based on bathing, I'd give this Hotel-Apartment 1 Star, but again, the property is great and the staff are great.

No A/C, we had a very difficult time staying at the apartment it was pretty hot, and the bathroom sink was not draining properly. However the staff was friendly and the place was clean and in good shape.
