⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a great dinner tonight at Urban Stack in Chattanooga with my daughters! No wait, plenty of seating, and super fast service—which is always a win when you’re hungry. There’s a huge selection of burgers to choose from. I went with the mushroom burger (SO good!) and my daughter got The Big Cheese. Her fries were perfectly crispy, and I ordered the corn with smoked Gouda—delicious and full of flavor. Had a small issue with my burger and after talking to my waitress,Grace, they comped it and had the kitchen prioritize my next order. It was something that wasn’t really a big deal, but I received an apology from both her and the manager. They went above and beyond in the customer satisfaction department. Their burgers and wings were delicious as well. That was my first time there, and it made quite the first impression! I’ll be returning soon.

Delicious! The fried chick-peas were an interesting appetizer. Loved the burger and chili. Great service and fun ambiance! Had to pay for parking- but that seems common here.

I went in about 5:30pm on a Tuesday, It was pretty slow, so the service was quick! Looks like a fine dining restaurant from the outside, very chill on the inside. I liked this place because I’m on dietary restrictions as of now, and they had many options and substitutions! As you can see I got a lettuce wrapped burger, surprisingly the burger was full of flavor! I took the cinnamon and sugar off the sweet potato fries and the sauce girl in me got a side of ranch! Delicious!

Food. Amazing and super filling Service : excellent Atmosphere: perfect vibe We had a baby with us and two dogs and the resturant was able to accommodate us and let us eat on the patio as a family. I highly recomend this place for lunch brunch dinner and more! BTW Food was amazing. Did I already say that?

Fun atmosphere And great food. Our server was very attentive and brought water to our dogs, which were welcome on the porch. Love the decor.

What great burgers!! This place was amazing. My family and I were in Chattanooga for the weekend, we only dined out once and I am so glad this is where we went. Not only did they accommodate our group of 11 but they were able to make a group of carnivores, plant-based and vegans happy - which is a hard thing to do (hence why we don't go out as a group too much). We all left full and feeling good! The server was also very sweet and patient with us. Highly recommend!!

This is a great place to come for unique burgers like the Asian Q , mushroom melt, and some familiar flavors like Philly cheese steak and the New Yorker. As a group of four with varied ages ranging from 22 to 79, we all found something we liked. The appetizer hot pimento dip came with house made crispy chips, just wow! And if you run out of chips they will bring you more. The outside patio is covered and very comfortable even though right off the street it still feels cozy. Music was grunge Ska and a little loud.

There was great service at the restaurant, our server was so nice and professional. I did want to try one of their drinks that they said they were offering on their board outside but unfortunately they said it was a mistake and they bought it back inside. But ended up getting a hands-pun s'more's milkshake at it was so good! The atmosphere was great and very cozy it felt kind of like an industrial space and the ambiance was very homey at the same time. The burgers were ok but there was just something missing that I can't put my finger on. Overall it was a good experience and the milkshakes definitely take the cake!

Met here with a new friend and my boss/friend. We were able to have really engaging conversation as our server, Avery, was courteous and attentive and gave us space to chat. Sometimes servers come around too much! But, this was not the case here. The atmosphere is pretty chill and you will probably be positively overwhelmed by the menu. There are all kinds of burgers here! I went with the Steakhouse which is barbecued burger with a nice fat onion ring on it. Very very good. The burger was actually not as big as I expected it to be. This is a good thing. When eating with friends, it's always awkward being super messy and taking super big bites. Maybe that's the introvert/shy side of me? ‍ Anyway, I also ordered the High Tea which is a nice citrusy Bourbon drink. Mixed very well. Also, the burger comes with fries. You can change the side if you want but the fries are crispy and go really well with hot honey. I urge you to order a side of the hot honey. It's great! All in all, just a really great "easy" spot!

We stopped here on Memorial Day on our way home from Chattanooga. The food was good, decent price but all I remember were the kids next to us running around and tossing rubber bands at each other. All I could hope for was one not to hit me in my eye. Their parents didn't say much to make them stop and the wait staff didn't either. Hopefully if I'm in the area, and visit here again, I can remember how the food was.

I have eaten here a few times with family and we all really enjoyed the burgers! You can also get drinks, but I haven't been able to try them yet. You can get local beers if you're wanting something unique! Sometimes the wait can be long but you can usually get a table in 20-30 mins on a busy night. It's a laid back, casual atmosphere and great for a family and kids! I always get the gourmet bacon cheeseburger and it's delicious every time!

I tried to order from Yelp to discover Urban Stack doesn't use Grub-hub. I had to call Urban Stack after I received an error message along with my card being charged. The young lady was so helpful and informed me how to get a refund. I appreciate her turning my frustration around.

OUTSTANDING!!! Starting with our server Kaylee who is an absolute delight! She is all about OVERserving, which in spite of how it sounds is a great thing! I usually end my reviews with comments on the service but it was so good across the board I have to start with it this time! As I mentioned, Kaylee was an absolute delight and we ended up chatting with her for quite some time. We even ordered a couple extra drinks just to hang out and chat some more! It wasn't just Kaylee though. Everything we ordered from our drinks to our appetizer to our entree burgers came out extremely fast and was piping hot (not our drinks of course) and delicious! Our burgers, the Asian Q, the mamacita, and the mushroom burger were all cooked perfectly! The rest of the staff was super friendly as well. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a really nice selection of beers. We will definitely go back the next time, heck, EVERY time we are in town to visit our daughter!

A casual place with good burgers and interesting side dishes. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe and tasty food. I had a great burger and tried the fried chickpeas which were different... and good! Overall had a nice time and enjoyed the food.

Ok this place was a TREASURE! I've rarely been to a burger joint that was so vegetarian and even vegan friendly. You were able to sub any patty for the impossible burger and they also had an in-house veggie burger that my husband got and rated really high. I had a chocolate milkshake as well since why not? I was on vacation! The service was great and we left full & happy! The interior was cute and there was plenty of seating, including a patio that would be great in the summer.

We had a disappointing lunch. I tried the chili and side chef salad. My partner had French fries and French onion soup. The chili had a good flavor, but it was too overloaded with tomato chunks to enjoy. And the chef salad was odd. The meat and cheese was cubed so small and the blue cheese dressing was odd. It was the color of thousand island. I didn't enjoy it. My partner who loves French onion soup, only ate half of it. He said it was tasteless. It was all disappointing. The service was excellent and the restaurant has a great look.

I have gone to Urban Stack twice now and have been unimpressed. The first time I went there was a special menu soup that I tried as well as a burger and fries. Everything came out at once instead of soup first and everything was cold. That put me off coming back for quite some time, but the reviews are so good I had to try again. Today when I sat at the booth I was a bit shocked at how uncomfortable it was. Not something I'd usually consider but it stood out to me. I ordered a burger and fries. Everything was a bit warm, but not hot. The fries seemed like they had been sitting a while and were not fresh. They also were not seasoned. Beef was okay quality, it had some bites I wasn't thrilled with but nothing I had to spit out. Really just all around okay. Overall very mediocre. If someone said they really wanted to go here I'd do it, but I wont be back otherwise. Also no free parking that I am aware of. There used to be some nearby that was recently changed to require payment.

I ordered the farmhouse salad and one of their seasonal drinks tasted like apple pie. Everything was delicious. I'd go back and try other items. Our waiter was awesome.

We have lived in Chattanooga for 60 years. I cannot remember a worse dining experience. My daughter has owned four restaurants so we know good food and good service. Urban Stack has neither. We ordered burgers medium rare. After about 30 mins. or so we were served overcooked burgers so we sent them back, we almost never send anything back. Neither of us took a bite. While they worked on our order we ate some onion rings and fries, they were cold and not very tasty we both love onion rings but couldn't eat these. So our order came again over cooked. We ate them anyway by now it had been over an hour neither of us had eaten, it was 4pm. I looked carefully at the grey meat and thought it may have been old and lost it pink color. I mean how hard is it to cook a burger medium rare. We will never return. We will share our experience as many times as possible.

Sat at the bar. Very friendly greeter and bar staff. Many gluten free options. Had a gf lettuce wrap steakhouse burger, gf French fries. and drink. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Good burger joint. I had the burger with avocado, bacon, and cheese, cooked medium rare. The burger was very good and came with a bun that could hold it all together. The bacon was crisp and there was a sufficient amounts of cheese. The burger came with fries which were crisp and salty. Parking on the street was easy to find on a Monday night. Service was super fast and friendly. Highly recommended!

Looking a new place to have a quick late meal and I found Urban stack. This is not your ordinary burger joint by any sense of your imagination. The service and the food left me coming back tomorrow, if I'm here in Chattanooga! Downtown offers many places, but I found a gem here. Their variety of burgers, bourbons and whiskeys are like no other in town. Make sure you take time to visit them next time you're in Chattanooga!

When I come to town, I always come here. And it never disappoints. Large selection of beer on draft. The service is always great at the bar by the way. I get the same thing every time, the chicken sandwich. Quit possibly a top 5 chicken sandwich for me. And I've had a lot of chicken sandwiches.

Urban Stack is a solid option for food in downtown Chattanooga. It's a bit far from the tourist hub of downtown, but has plenty of nearby pay parking options. They've done a good job repurposing an older building, with beautiful brick interiors and an outdoor patio area. One of the big selling points of Urban Stack is that they use locally sourced fresh ingredients and meats are from humanely treated animals. We ordered a burger with onion rings and the Dirty Bird (chicken sandwich) with a farmhouse salad. The best thing is that you can substitute any side or salad in place of fries and just pay the price difference (more businesses should do this). The burger (4/5) was well prepared as per specifications, and while not the best burger I've had, was definitely a quality burger. The onion rings (3.5/5) were above average, with proper breading and some crispier than others. The farmhouse salad (5/5) was the star of the show with a multitude of healthy and tasty ingredients; an excellent salad preparation. The Dirty Bird (4/5) was a decent chicken sandwich, but for something advertised as "spicy fried chicken," it didn't have any discerning southern flair or much of a spicy kick to it. Overall, Urban Stack did the job of filling us up with decent quality food at reasonable prices, and I'd recommend it to others for a sandwich/burger fix in the downtown Chattanooga area.

Disappointing to say the least. The Italian burger was great, but the fries (pictured) were room temperature, and the sweet potato fries were hardly sweet. Cons: everything above Pros: fast and good service

We came here for lunch a couple of days ago and walked away very happy. I had a burger that had guacamole and chipotle mayo on it (in addition to the typical tomato, lettuce, and onion). It was delicious. The restaurant only allows ordering your burger as "pink or no pink", which I found to be strange for an upscale beef-centric restaurant. I asked if I could have mine "very pink" and they said they could do it. They delivered! It was just how I like it. They allow you to upgrade the beef patty to an American Wagyu beef, but I have read that American Wagyu beef can vary wildly in quality and isn't properly graded by any US institution, so I went with the regular party. I found the regular beef patty to be extremely juicy and flavorful, so I would recommend you do the same and save yourself $4. The only knock that I have against it is that our booth was a little uncomfortable. The seats were a little bit small, making it hard to lean back and relax.

The service was great! The burgers were dry and did not have any flavor, however the additions on each burger were very flavorful like the guacamole and the chipotle mayo. The milkshakes are also great!

While visiting Chattanooga for the weekend we were looking for the best burger spot we could find. We were excited to visit this establishment after reading all the rave reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The rating reflects the excellent service and the place is clean with public parking located behind it. They have a very extensive whiskey and bourbon list as well. The chipotle ketchup and pickle relish is good. My boyfriend likes vodka so he got a vodka and cranberry and I had a Strawberry Blonde. The drinks were decent. For food my guy ordered the wagyu burger with onion rings but he couldn't tell a difference between a regular burger and the wagyu beef which shouldn't be the case. We are foodies, so it's not for a lack of palette. I had a regular cheeseburger with fries. The buns are locally made, but much too thick and overpowering for the smaller size patties and probably take away from the taste of the meat. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, and it's not a place we will go back to. If you're just looking for a basic burger that's slightly above average, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a nice, thick, juicy, craft burger that wows you, look elsewhere.

Urban Stack is always a must-go-to when visiting Chattanooga. The service has always been excellent and the food? The food is amazing! The urban nachos are great for an appetizer, although I would prefer actual nachos over the potato chips. The steakhouse burger is a massive burst of an array of flavors. The burgers are always cooked to perfection. Never had a bad meal here. It's most usually very busy, but it's never too noisy to have an intimate conversation. My husband and I are avid burger fans and are always looking for a great burger. Urban stack deliver. Every. Single. Time.

We stopped by this place for a quick burger on our way out of town. There isn't a ton of free parking, but there is a paid lot right behind the building. It was nice to see they use as much locally based products as they can. Everyone with me got burgers they were happy with. I went with the bologna sliders since it said it was locally made. It wasn't bad, but looked more like pepperoni than bologna, which caught me by surprise. Overall, decent place for a quick bite.

Went based on Yelp reviews. Thought the burgers would be better, just ok. Also not very big. I don't usually finish a burger and fries at a place like this but I was able to finish everything. The unsweetened tea had no flavor, tasted like water. Service was good. Nice ambiance.

I have always loved Urban, it's a chattanooga staple. There is plenty of variety for anyone wanting to try a "different" burger. Their sides are always delicious and the service is fast. It's a casual atmosphere, so it's an easy night out or lunch spot. They don't take reservations but if you go before 6:15pm it's usually no wait or very quick. They also have milkshakes that are PHENOMENAL

I was craving a burger. The food was good. The customer service was the best part, I so wished I remember his name he was so sweet and informative. It was our first time and he went over the menu with us. MY BOYFRIEND wanted to watch the game so he gave us a section near the bar area, that looked close. He came back and checked on how everything was going and not that annoying waiter that asks every time you take a bite, it was well timed I feel like it's a 4 star based on his service. The burger was ok, it could've just been my choice. My boyfriend has the steakhouse burger and that looked amazing, he said it was really good. I was trying to customize mine and it was a slight fail. I don't remember what it was but I took pictures!!! Yes the salad I did the kale summer salad that was great! I wished I kind of just did the salad . It was refreshing!!!Enjoy

We came on vacation to Chattanooga. I enjoy a burger just like most people. This place was amazing! It's had an amazing service staff that provides insight over the menu and drinks. The burgers are very good! And the onion rings are delicious!! Make sure to the try the bologna sliders!! Ask for an extra side of pickles if you like pickles they have an amazing sweet/heat flavor to them!

Came here after visiting Rock City from Spring Hill TN. Very unique burger options, tons of options and the flavors of everything was outstanding Highly recommend

Inexpensive place specializing in burgers, which are quite diverse and good. Nothing fancy here. Comfortable easy going and fun. Good place!

This place is just ok. The sweet potato fries are really good. The burger is OK we got the sunshine one & the egg was fully cooked and the burger was not pink at all. Taste like a frozen burger at the store. We stopped here on the way to Tennessee aquarium.

We were wanting a good burger so we tried Urban Stack after reading reviews. The place has a nice feel to it with seating inside it out. We choose outside as the weather was nice. We were sat and after 5 minutes we were greeted by our server Tyler. Nice young man. We ordered our drinks and appetizers, chick peas and the sweet and heat cucumbers plate. These were good. My wife ordered the green chili burger and I the Chicago Bologna burger. The chili burger had very few chilies unfortunately. My burger came out well done after ordering medium. We both hot onion ring which were just ok. All said, don't know if we'll return anytime soon which is unfortunate as we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant.

We ran into this place randomly and I'm so glad we did. I'm a picky eater but even I found their gourmet burgers absolutely delicious! My husband's Philly cheesesteak burger was the best of the three our party got. My BBQ burger was a close second. Our daughter got the kid's sliders and I loved the flavor. Our server was very knowledgeable about the products and had great recommendations. We went Monday when they first opened and had no wait. We chose outdoor seating and it was delightful!

Best hamburger I have ever had! Sweet potato fries were perfect, and that spicy chipotle ketchup is the bomb! Had a really cool patio for beautiful evens to sit out on or a nice lunch. Got to try this one if you haven't!

Came tk this place to have a quick burger and Shelby really impressed me.... I'm a traditional guy and almost had a traditional burger... she told me to think outside the box, so I did and ordered a mushroom burger and it was very good!!! Had some fresh tomatoes that gave this burger a taste of "pizza" that was interesting.... Very juicy and well cooked.... I also had the ruben burger that was ok, this one was not ny favorite but needed to try both and see.... Later I had a Single Barrel Weller Urban Stack!!!! Boy.... Very very good... i did have to reduce it some as it is 107proof!!! This place is very nice and looks as it will have more ambiance in the evenings..... Cheers

Lots of burger choices. Kind of noisy, but still a fun vibe! Waiters were friendly and attentive.

This is an amazing place, I've been a few times. The burgers options are great and their gluten free bun is decent (it's rare to find a great one in a typical restaurant) which is a plus. I've had many burgers from the options and my fave is still the Philly Cheese, likely due to the cherry pepper relish. The pimento cheese is great and the pickle plate unusually tasty, and spicy. It somehow manages to be quaint while not being small in the slightest. There's outdoor, indoor, and bar seating options and a vast amount of options on tap. The service is quick and with a smile, and your water will never go empty.

After a day of exploring the sights of Chattanooga, Urban Stack provided a casual outdoor oasis from the heat. The food was very tasty. I would definitely eat here again when in he area. It was just around the corner from the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel and terminal. I was intrigued by the doors to the restrooms. My first elementary school had classroom doors like them--solid, substantial, and safe. The missing carriage light pendant over a toilet made me wonder if anyone was discommoded when it fell!

Nice restaurant! So many burger styles to pick from.. Asian fusion, southwestern, Italian, vegan, Philly cheesesteak burger... and loaded, fresh salads. Dogs are allowed on the patio. Service was wonderful... great burger spot!

Popped in for a quick drink and light snack before a wedding. Delightfully surprised at how delicious the drinks actually were (Spooky Sangrai and Smoked Cinnamon Old Fashioned). We sat at the bar and received super friendly and speedy service by Cooper who was great at recommending dishes and drinks and very helpful in ensuring we had a great experience. The hand cuts chips were DELICIOUS !

Best of the bunch on our TN tour as far as sizable delicious burgers with friendly servers and selections for the vegan types. Ended the meal with a s'mores cookie shake- thick and selecciona but needed a larger straw (should've asked for a spoon to go). Cool old town revival vibe highly recommended.

We arrived in Chattanooga just in time for a late lunch. Urban stack was, according to our server, an old train station. The inside is really cool and the patio is inviting. It was a nice day so we chose the patio. We really liked the menu choices and had a hard time choosing so we got a few and shared. We would highly recommend stopping in! We got lucky with paid street parking, but there is a parking lot close by.

The burgers were decent just not enough flavor. Service could be better. The ambiance is what I would expect a burger joint would be like. It's nice and casual.

Our second visit while in Chattanooga. We had the chick peas the first time and sad they do not have them any longer. We had the Urban Nachos for an appetizer and it was very good. We had a Mushroom melt, bacon cheese burger, Spicey vegan patty, Mushroom pepper relish burger, Fried green tomato burger. We all really enjoyed our meal with fries and sweet potato fries. This has become our go to spot when passing through on the interstate.

It's really not that great... the burger really has no flavor to it. The meat is rubbery. Not a fan for the price. I ordered grass fed beef and it was definitely not a grass fed textured beef. It's just something to eat. Don't waste your time. Honestly. Otherwise, my server was great and prompt.
