Urban Valley

Our stay at Urban Valley was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is modern, very clean, and beautifully designed. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well soundproofed – perfect for relaxing and getting a great night’s sleep after a full day out. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and well organised, and we truly felt looked after throughout our stay. The location is excellent – peaceful and green, yet close to main attractions and transport links, making it a perfect base for exploring Malta. We highly recommend Urban Valley and would happily stay here again.

We enjoyed our 7 nights stay in January at Urban Valley. Even on the stormy days, we relaxed in the indoor pool and sauna and used the fitness room. The dinner was fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant and the lobby bar was welcoming and we enjoyed our time. The manager and the whole team made sure the guests are happy. We received a free room upgrade to the junior suite. That was an amazing surprise. The bed is comfortable, the room has all it needs and it is very clean. The hotel offers free parking and free shuttle service to the city center. The hotel is located between Valetta and Sliema. You need a car, taxi or public transport to get to the point of interests. We would recommend staying at Urban Valley Hotel.

The hotel was lovely very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff were excellent ,very friendly and helpful. The location was very good for us. We liked being just away from the town in a quiet oasis. We found it a pleasant walk into Sliema town. We also used the free shuttle bus into valletta each day and from there used public transport to see the island highlites . The outdoor pools were too cold to use but it was the last week in November. The indoor spa pool was like a hot bath, too hot really and not really big enough to swim Thecarea where the loungers were was disappointing , cold, full of condensation and not at all spa like but as we went on a city break out of season the hot bath like pool was ideal for easing aching muscles after lots of walking. The food was also a bit of a disappointment after reading past reviews. Breakfast was great good choice, the salads at dinner were innovative and tasty. Dinner was lovely a couple of nights ,albeit all were less than lukewarm , but then it was as though the chef changed and quality and choice suffered a couple of nights we struggled to find something to our taste or that looked appetising other than the salad bar .|The room was excellent, lovely, quality furnishings comfortable and nice bathroom. Would definitely return though we loved the location, shuttle bus, nice room, and great staff . Ideal base for exploring the island .

We had a superb stay at urban valley. Rooms were smart, clean and well presented. Staff were excellent, polite and friendly. Breakfast and evening buffet was well presented, tasty and with a good variety each day. Overall, an exceptional hotel. My only criticism would be that you need to look at your stock of towels, as a few we had were distinctly threadbare!

We had a gala dinner on the 31st of December at Urban Valley Resort in San Ġwann with my family, and it was truly an amazing experience. The dinner was held at The Notch, and everything from start to finish was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was perfect for welcoming the New Year.||A special shoutout goes to Kurt, Adrian, and Dipak — they were outstanding, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Their professionalism and kindness really stood out, especially knowing they were working on such an important night. It’s truly appreciated.||Thank you to the entire team for making our New Year’s Eve so memorable. Highly recommended!

This is a review for the thistle restaurant at urban valley resort . We stayed bed and breakfast and the food was lovely each morning , however on New Year’s Day it was exceptional . Amazing seafood selection , fresh salads and cheeses , carvery of fish and meat plus a variety of many other dishes . I opted for langoustines, prawns smoked salmon and mussels as a starter , my husband had a delicious duck salad . We both had soup then I opted for slow cooked brisket in red wine jus with seasonal vegetables and potato dauphinoise. Beautiful. |Cheese selection and fresh baked desserts . Brilliant service and free flowing local wine .

We attended a gala dinner at the Urban Valley Hotel as Family Azzopardi, and the overall experience was excellent. The service throughout the evening was very good — attentive, professional, and well organised.||||A special mention goes to Adrian from the security team, who truly went above and beyond. He was waiting outside with an umbrella to make sure guests didn’t get wet, which was such a thoughtful gesture. On top of that, he was joking with guests and creating a really welcoming, fun atmosphere. His positive attitude and extra care genuinely made our night even more special.||||Well done to the team, and especially to Adrian — service like that does not go unnoticed. We will definitely remember this experience.

This was by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional - genuinely welcoming, attentive, and accommodating in every way. Martina at the front desk was an absolute delight at every encounter, and the rest of the staff were just as friendly, both with guests and with each other, which created such a warm, positive atmosphere. We visited in October, so it was very peaceful and most days we had the pool entirely to ourselves. Breakfast offered a great variety, and sitting outside in the sun to enjoy it was the perfect start to each morning. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. I’d stay here again without hesitation when I return to Malta. We felt completely relaxed and cared for from start to finish. Huge thanks to all the staff, especially Martina and Obi, for making our stay unforgettable.
