We were searching for a cozy spot to enjoy lunch and came across this restaurant on a beautiful street in Rome. The location was lovely. The interior felt warm and welcoming. It was a cozy spot to sit and unwind. We chose to dine indoors, and the atmosphere was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting. The Margherita pizza was decent, but the rest of the meal was disappointing. The steak tartare was too salty. It didn’t have the freshness or balance I’ve enjoyed in similar dishes before. It simply didn’t meet expectations. The staff was polite, and the ambiance was pleasant. However, the food quality hurt the overall experience. I wouldn't recommend this place for the food. If it weren't for the friendly staff and cozy vibe, it would be one of my worst meals in Rome.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Urbana 47 and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that our needs were met without being intrusive. Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the Pulles Pork , which was cooked to perfection. The ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality, and you could tell that a lot of care went into the preparation. To top it all off, the dessert was a true highlight. The tiramisu was the perfect ending to our meal, and I can't recommend it enough. Overall, I highly recommend Urbana 47for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I will definitely be returning!!

There's four more tables outside, no one inside. A total of 7 people besides me. Ordered a croissant and cappuccino, croissant came straight, ordered cappuccino again after 10 minutes. And then it came after what seems another 10 minutes. In the meantime, anyone who orders a coffee or a drink gets theirs. I'm not a tourist, just visitor having worked two long days prior, so this was my Roman coffee experience of today, the opposite of any other prior, and there have been plenty. Either you do things leisurely but then do so for all, or be fast and do so for all. Oh, and I hadn't finished when they cleared the table for the 12 o clock lunch shift. Perhaps be more consistent and faster next time? I'll be back in Rome, staying around the corner, but won't be back here.

Google
I find it a very beautiful restaurant and the service was friendly. We had the squid with lentils, caesar salad and pulled pork. The first two dishes were good, but the pulled pork was very oily and the ratio salad and meat was off, very little salad and a LOT of greasy meat. I got sick during the night. I cannot be sure, but it could be because of the pork dish. Because of this I unfortunately cannot give a good review for the food. It is also quite expensive and the portions are not big.

Google
Fabulous little side walk restaurant. Just we needed after a hot walk to the Colosseum. Service friendly food great and simple. Quaint location. What’s not to like?

Google
The quality of the food is not worth the price. We ordered four of the same dishes, and each one was a different size. The waiter doesn’t even bring menus to the table, and you have to go inside to pay—yet a service charge is added for each person. There isn’t even a toilet seat in the restroom. There are better places in Rome.

Google
Showed up to our reservation about 30 min early, and one of the waiters happily helped if out and let us sit outside and order drinks while we waited for our table. The service was really nice all around, and the vibes of this place were amazing. The food was even better! Would recommend for a nice date night dinner

Google
This is such an adorable outdoor dining experience. We enjoyed suppli to start, then followed with one of the feature menu items and the carbonara: we loved everything on our plates. Try the spritz Hugo for a fun cocktail.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this restaurant while gallivanting around Rome. The food looked good, so we decided to grab a seat on the patio. The Carbonara and Pesto pasta were both excellent, and well executed. As were the drinks. But the absolute highlight was their take on Tiramisu with gentillini biscuits , absolutely incredible and one of the tastiest desserts we have ever had. Service was quick and friendly. Around 50 euro for 2 drinks, 2 pastas, and a dessert. So good we went back the next night.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Lasagna, tandoori Eggplant Parmesan, rabbit, and pasta was amazing.

Yelp
Deceivingly large this restaurant has a quaint patio setting out front along the cobblestone alleyway. As you make your way through the brick arches and exposed medal ceiling ducts you realize just how large this places really is. Room after room tucked away around each corner was a few tables offering a bit of privacy. The back room is for the party people - with a bar like setting this adorable place could host a great party! We would return again for sure. We happen to come early evening on a Sunday so we were seated quickly and served each course in an appropriate amount of time. I can see how this place might get super busy- so make sure you check!

Yelp
During a week stay in Rome this restaurant was recommended by our AirB&B host. The food was great. Enjoyed Carbonara, pizza, lamb sandwich and lasagna. Service was par for Rome ... kind of slow at times but we kept coming back for the food.

Yelp
Fantastic. One of our favorite dinners in Italy. A slight modern twist on Italian classics without straying too far from tradition. A refreshing take indeed. There's a lot of great options on Rome, but come here if you want to experience a bit of culinary creativity in a modern setting.
google avatar

Brad E.

Yelp
Stopped here after tour of Colosseum. Slow to be seated, slow service, ambivalent staff. Pasta a 3 out of 5 but pizza was a solid 4. Would not return given other options in the area.

Yelp
Cappuccino was eh but I enjoyed sitting outside on via Urbana. The cappuccino tastes like milk completely, so it's not very good. At such a cheap price €2, it's okay but not ideal. I haven't had the food, but they do have a pretty extensive menu.
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
Was amazing. Great ambiance, excellent service. Kid friendly. Kids had spaghetti and loved it. We spit the rabbit kabab (burrito) was absolutely amazing. We also split the pizza. Incredible.

Yelp
This was a super cute and delicious restaurant. I didn't realize how big it was until I went to use the super funky bathroom. We sat outside and had what is starting over in the EU, brunch. I got eggs Benedict, but I have to say I loved that you could chose what kind of eggs you wanted. Whether organic or cage free. I can't remember what the 3 choices were, but still pleasantly surprised. I also got shaved black truffle all over my bfast because I could!! My husband got their chicken club sandwich, which is the best sandwich we've ever had. I love the mayo over there. So much lighter and more delicious tasting. I also got a bloody Mary, which I normally don't like, but of course they made it delicious. I was very jealous when they put up their lunch/dinner menu. Guess i'll have to go back.

Yelp
Recommended. We didn't have a reservation and stumbled across this hip place on a Saturday night. Looked too busy but they were able to accommodate us. The service was prompt and food was excellent.

Yelp
This is a trendy restaurant that feels authentic; the food was inventive and superb. It has a hole-in-the-wall vibe which creates a nice atmosphere. There are a handful of tables in front and the restaurant expands after the storefront into little niches which make the space feel cozy. Ginger flavored pumpkin cream soup with broccoli balls was really interesting and delicious. Homemade ravioli with ricotta, licorice and hazelnuts was just OK. Homemade green gnocchi was very good Homemade Fettuccine with wild mushrooms also delicious. The cheesecake with persimmon sauce was good

Yelp
First, I am a bit surprised that the reviews aren't better on Yelp for this place. It was one of the better meals I feel like I had in Rome. I love the tucked away street that this restaurant is located on and the decor is very cute. It is a lot bigger inside than I thought it would be when I peeked in from outside. We came by after spending a few hours at the Colosseum and Roman Forums and were looking for a relaxing meal. The fried zucchini flowers were okay, but not something I would order again. Wasn't really sure what to expect when we ordered it since this isn't something I've seen before. We didn't try any of the pizza, but had 3 different pastas: cacio e pepe, pasta alla gricia, pasta all'amatriciana. All three were solid choices, but the we all agreed that the pasta alla gricia was the best, followed by the pasta all'amatriciana. We think that the pork added to these two dishes and the cacio e pepe, although good, didn't have that. Portion sizes were standard and fair and we had enough space for gelato somewhere else after. Who wouldn't want some room for dessert after? we ordered aperol spritz here as well, which I found to be on the sweeter side. It didn't have as much of the bitter tang to it, which some people like but it was refreshing.

Yelp
Amazingly quaint and beautiful surroundings with an Organic Wine!! The food is authentic and super delicious!

Yelp
We sat outside and the patio overlooks one of those incredibly adorable streets in Monti. I had gnocchi pomodoro and my husband had the spelt linguine with shrimp. He wasn't crazy about his, but my gnocchi was delicious. Our red wine was wonderful.

Muriel P.

Yelp
What a charming restaurant with creative cuisine. We were wandering down this atmospheric street in search of a small bite and found heaven here. Delicious melted cheese with spicy jam. Yum. The tiramisu...inspired. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant with friendly service.

Yelp
This place was awesome! We stopped there our first night in Rome, it was suggested by our hotel. The decor was very cool and the food was fantastic! Most servers spoke English which we appreciated. It was so good we came back a few days later!
google avatar

Yelp
The reviews for Urbana 47 are too low. My wife and I had a great dinner here in Rome. The salads, pasta, wine and meat were all good quality. It has trendy Italian atmosphere both inside and out. The waitstaff was young, energetic and friendly.
google avatar

Ana F.

Yelp
Ran into this place while waiting for our Airbnb host. With that being said we didn't read the review before going in, It's not the best food however the restaurant it's self is nice. Our food was SUPER salty and kinda on the pricey side. Definitely not a place i would go back to.
google avatar

Yelp
We happened upon Urbana 47 as we were trying to escape the eateries closer to the nearby attractions. How lucky we were! The food was amazing (ordered green salad, pizza and pasta dish) and the desert (tiramisu) was incredible. Definitely deserves a higher rating, don't pass this place up!

Yelp
This was one of our best meals in Rome and I am surprised that the average reviews aren't much better. Note that the least-good reviews are almost at least several years old. I had a fantastic appetizer of lentils and squid and some fantastic lamb-based bolognese The pizza was great The chicken was great and their gluten-free pasta was delicious. So was the gluten-free chocolate cake. The environment itself is really fun, too. Sort of like a little bit of an urban-industrial vibe but done deliberately and done well. The place is definitely a good value for the food and service that is delivered. The husband and wife who seemed to own operate the restaurant were personally engaged and very friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
The food here was mediocre and over priced for what we were served. The pizza was extremely thin and just fell apart as well as the pasta being undercooked and no where near al dente. They charged us for water even though it wasn't from a bottle and just tap, I would not recommend this place as the food is below par. I ordered the cacio e Pepe and the pasta was floating in butter, to the point that it made me naseous from how much they had added to the pasta.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
This would have been rated much higher if I had not got food poisoning here last night. I ordered a pizza and when it arrived much of the sausage was raw. I did not eat the obviously uncooked bits but it didn't matter. I won't get graphic but the past 24 hours have been unpleasant to say the least. I should have said something to our server but wait staff wasn't easy to track down. The rest of my party fared well and enjoyed their food...maybe just don't order anything with sausage? ‍
google avatar

Yelp
Service is mediocre to bad. And the food was terrible. No flavor, very basic, and way over priced! We spent 2 weeks in Italy and had amazing food! So we decided to say something about the entrees to the owner. He was extremely rude about it and told us we were wrong. There's so many good restaurants in Rome, some even on the same street. Don't waste your time with this place.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Had a wonderful evening here, despite a screaming baby a few tables away. Shared a delicious octopus on a bed of savory lentils. My wife had the barley risotto with seafood, while I had the rabbit cacciatore. Both were flavorful and plentiful. A side of eggplant was also quite good. I would gladly go back to repeat that meal.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Really disappointed with our meal. The restaurant looks nice and is in a hip neighbor but by far the worst meal we've had in Rome. We ordered a pasta, ravioli, potatoes and the rice balls. Nothing was good and both pasta dishes had sauce out of a can!Service was also pretty terrible. The waiter didn't know any of the menu, ingredients etc.
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
The dough they use here in the pizza is great. We talked with the owner and you can tell he really cares about the quality of the food he serves. He sources the flour for organic places and uses a mix of type 0, 2 and Semolina flour in his pizzas. You can smell the difference in the dough. The gnocchi is all pretty awesome.
google avatar

Quincy W.

Yelp
This place is a place that you don't want to miss. The waiters are very polite and are fluent in English, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is out of this world! Personally, I would recommend the lasagna. It's so flavorful and delicious! Stop by here for a fun night and a wonderful meal!!
google avatar

Yelp
Wondering the streets of Rome and sit down and this very cool place. The drinks, food and atmosphere were fantastic. We dine with locals but they made Americans seem very welcomed.
google avatar

Zhou Q.

Yelp
The price is too expensive than same type of restaurant, but they have very good dining ambient, the place is big with modern decoration, off of shelf pasta and can food are available for purchasing, menu has English is very convince for us to order,
google avatar

Yelp
I lived in this area for nearly 2 years and this place has been one of the solid, no-frill, but still cool places to meet up with friends after work. The place prides itself in local produce (think farm-to-table concept) and b/c of that the menu changes frequently. They will always have a dish of pasta, meat and fish though so no worries. I love pasta so I've always ordered whatever pasta on the menu and an app and for one person with a friend often stealing my app, the portions are perfect. The dishes here are a mix of Roman traditional dishes with a "fresh" hipster take. I've always appreciated the freshness of the pasta and the vegetables here vs. the other bigger restaurants near the fountain area in Monti which are more local and often for tourists. Interior is modern but also rustic both before and after the recent reno, so the personality of the place still lives. Don't expect the "orgasmic" (for that you need to go to Renato & Luisa) Roman food experience here but you will get the organic, smart sized portion and still yummy food. There is a reason why many of the locals and I come here often. :)
google avatar

Petri B.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite places in Monti, but something has changed. The service was so bad that the waiter was not able to answer the most basic questions about their dishes and thought that Pale Ale was a city, not a beer type. The pork I had was just plain, no taste whatsoever. And the cauliflower purè tasted like...well...just cauliflower. I asked the neighbouring shopkeeper what is going on and he told me that their former Italian chef is gone and has been replaced by an Indian chef. I'm inclined to think that maybe he should stick to cooking Indian dishes.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
The stars are more directed to the food than the service which left something to be desired. To be fair, it was quite busy so likely not on purpose, but still. The ambience was very cool, industrial look, a little dark, but definitely hip. All the dishes we had tasted good and were well prepared & presented. The service was just very slow, mostly at the beginning to be acknowledged. Example, I had to go find out own menus. Since they also offer a counter/street food service, maybe try that instead
google avatar

Erin K.

Yelp
We just popped in for some drinks after dinner. The place is trendy and intimate - a good atmosphere for a relaxing evening. We would recommend this as a stop by for drinks. We can't speak to any food though...would probably go back and try something to eat one night.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
I sat outside at an uncovered table (no umbrella). Ten minutes into lunch a woman overhead started shaking out her carpet, covering me and my food in dirt from her floor. The waitress gave me 3 euros off, so I had to pay for the rest of my dirty food... I didn't ask where I could take a shower..... Terrible, terrible service.
google avatar

Diana W.

Yelp
I was looking around for good pizza since it was my last night in Rome. I stumbled across this as I saw it was organic and they used local produce. Great pizza. The decor is designed very well, and it's definitely quality food. I spent more than other places nearby but it is definitely worth it, you can taste the difference. The staff were also very friendly.
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
Stopped in for a snack mid afternoon the food was absolutely amazing! Perfectly portioned food with fabulous flavor. All from local farms. The decor was so cool. Everything about this place is great!
google avatar

Marina R.

Yelp
Very cool, unique spot in the heart of Rome. Loved to be seated in the Cinema area. Sandro makes perfect cocktails, order many. I had an appetizer that resembled grilled cheese and very good salad, then I had fish. Both beautiful, and surprisingly filling. Half through my meal a jazz band started performing, it was cozy and perfect.
google avatar

C B.

Yelp
Meh. Waitress was surly, pasta was very undercooked and over-salted. Gazpacho and mussels, however, were very good with lots of flavor. Save your money and go elsewhere.
google avatar

Nanna N.

Yelp
Worst experience in Rome so far. I had Cacio Pepe e Scampi (one of their daily specials). The shrimp were undercooked, and so was the pasta. When we told our waiter, he dismissed our complaint and tried to excuse it by saying that they'd recently changed their menu. Terrible experience.
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Sunday brunch was delicious. Had fried polenta w/ meatballs. Meatballs were soft and flavorful, while the polenta's texture was perfect. My sister had lasagna w/ hazelnuts and fresh vegetables - bechamel was made perfectly, and the interesting use of hazelnuts worked very well to balance out the indulgence of the cheese sauce. Desserts were equally delicious, and they MAKE ESPRESSO WITH A PULL MACHINE and it is good. Cute and cozy atmosphere, delicious food, highly recommended.
google avatar

Stephen W.

Yelp
Cozy and welcoming environment. The pasta and pizzas are tasty, although the portions are small even by European standards. The service is really good. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey for what you get. If I am paying these prices, I usually expect at least bread with dinner and full pours of wine but Urbana 47 didn't even offer that.
google avatar

Alexandria P.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast during our second day in Rome. Definitely a great meal (bread, cake, espresso & Prosecco...what more can you want while in Italy?) The decor was cute...the block it was on was great for people watching.

Nina K.

Yelp
Great diverse menu. Fresh pasta. Unbelievable pizza. Knowledgeable staff. We had rice balls, fried zucchini flowers stuffed, ricotta raviolis and grilled lamb.
google avatar

Damian M.

Yelp
A very hip little Italian restaurant in an area I would say has more of a local vibe than touristy. The overall look of the restaurant is very cool. Not a typical white tablecloth italian dining room, but more of a trendy look. Well designed. So, all that aside, let's get to the service and food. Service was good but not amazing. Our waiter seemed a bit pre occupied. On to the food. No Bread in an Italian restaurant was a bit strange but I'm not sure if that was just the night we were there or what. Food was super tasty and not typical by any means. Very Small serving sizes for the prices though. They need more fresh veggie options as well. They didn't have any salads on the menu when we went. That's always a huge plus for me. Would rate it a solid 3 1/2 stars, but giving it four in this review because that's the only option. I will be back to see if they can offer up a full on four or even five star performance.

Alex D.

Yelp
Ate here with some friends while we were travelling in Rome. The restaurant was close to our AirBnB, and we had been getting coffee from their café in the mornings. We decided to try their dinner menu, but we were disappointed in the meal that we had. We shared the Organic Lamb, the Semolina Gnocchi, and a pizza with potato, smoked cheese, and prosciutto. The pizza was delicious, but the gnocchi and lamb were below average compared to other places we had dined in Rome. Apart from the food, we did have good service, and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.
google avatar

Efe S.

Yelp
Place was close to my hotel that's how a I had a chance to eat. Wines are good foods are good. A good place to kill the evening. Pizza bar opens late though. Until 7 you ant have it. However pastas would take your hunger away.
google avatar

Jarvis A.

Yelp
Trendy restaurant, in a trendy area of Rome. I came here for lunch and there was no wait. However, I constantly passed the place in the evening and it was always packed, so be warned. I food was good, which was a consistent theme for me thanks to my fellow Yelpers. I can't imagine you being disappointed by the food or service. Common Italian curtosey applies; ask for bill, long dinners, waiters let you eat.

Maria L.

Yelp
This place caught my eye as I was strolling through Monti; returned later that evening and had a lovely little meal at the outside tables. The fresh ravioli was perfect. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Rome!
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
Had high expectations.... And left sorely disappointed. We had three different small plates to begin: calamari, mozzarella bruschetta and polenta with "spicy" broccoli. All were extremely bland, no seasoning or flavours. I'm not sure why they labeled the broccoli as "spicy" on the menu as it tasted like boiled broccoli with nothing added. For mains we tried lamb, Parmesan cod and pollo. The Parmesan cod arrived and looked/smelled exceptionally unappetizing - like a white mushy stew with a strong fishy odour. The other two dishes were also equally disappointing. Not sure if the regular chef took the night off, or if food devoid of flavour or seasoning is a new trend, but this is a busy, moderately priced restaurant that does not meet expectations.
