UrbanHauts was a great place to stay for 3 days while visiting Trieste with my family. The online check in means there's no front desk and the hotel is more of an apartment stay. The kitchen comes with all the glassware needed to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine, and the bathrooms have lotion, soap, and shampoos. The hotel has been recently updated, so about half the photos on TripAdvisor aren't correct. Additionally, we had a great travel cot set up on arrival for my two-year-old complete with fluffy bedding and pillow. The location cannot be beat as you are a 5 min walk from the main square, a plethora of restaurants, and 2 min from the ferry port to go explore other ports of Trieste. Only downside was little to no A/C, having the windows opened proved impossible on a Saturday night as the party goers were still loudly coming home until at least 2am. Sunday and Monday nights were much quieter. Would definitely stay here again if we visit in the future!

Ideally situated in the heart of Trieste, this wonderful apartment had everything a solo traveller or couple would need. Immaculate throughout and with a welcome gift of chilled wine and water, initial impressions were extremely good. Over the next few days this extraordinary building yielded more welcome surprises- the library was an oasis of calm in which to unwind at the end of the day. Remote staff were excellent at responding promptly and efficiently to my request. I’ll definitely stay there again when I find myself in this beautiful city on the shores of the Adriatic.

I would strongly recommend this property. It is owned by an Austrian company which has converted the whole building into a sort of aparthotel. Our 1 bedroom apartment was clean and spacious and attractively furnished with a comfortable bed. ||The kitchen was minimally provided with equipment and utensils, but there was a fridge and a kettle. Some basic items such as salt/pepper and cooking oil would have been useful. You would need to buy everything yourself if you wanted to prepare a cooked meal. No safe deposit box. ||The site is unstaffed, although there is a pleasant reception area. Contact responded promptly to emails. you have to send passport details in advance to get in. They then give you a code for the key box. No left luggage facility, but you can pay €5 per item to store luggage at the cafe opposite. I booked direct. ||Great location just off ‘bar street’ in historic centre. Watch for traffic outside in narrow street. Good shutters on windows kept out noise at night.

I was a bit worried before I arrived when I had read the comment from J suen! But I was very happy with my stay, no problem with the check in! They sent me e-mail two days prior check in and I had filled out the required information and had gotten the passcode! No worries!

Did not mention it’s self check in hotel .No pass code by email , no person there No one answer phone call at all (called for 30 mins). It answered call after 30 mins but cut my line saying he DOES NOT KNOW ENG. worse still, then I repeated calling , he directly cut my line without answering Called Agoda, Agoda say it’s the hotels fault for not sending the passcode . Pls don’t attend this hotel unless you want to get hotel door closed in front of your face, and cut all your calls and refuse to assist at all

It was a last minute trip for my family to Trieste. Fortunately and very gladful that I managed to book a room with Urbanauts. It was also one of the best choices I have made. It was so easy and convenient for the check-in process, and the location is very strategic where it is walkable to the main attractions. There is coop nearby as well for us to grab some snacks or drinks. The building itself is nicely furnished with a lift, our room toilet and kitchen are equipped with all the necessity that are very useful to us. I highly recommend this place to stay and will book with them again in the near future !

We so enjoyed our stay at Urbanauts in Trieste. The building was wonderful and on a beautiful street. We loved the cleanliness of our apartment, its efficiency and the delightful widows opening out to the street. The ease of checking in and out was a plus. In addition to our pleasant stay, was how willingly the Urbanauts team accommodated me when I left a hat there by mistake. They immediately answered my questions and handled the return quickly and simply. Our stay there was lovely experience!

Our family stayed at Urbanauts in 4 “cozy” rooms that are so big, they’re more like suites. They are beautifully designed and well appointed. For those with mobility issues, there is a lift to get to the first floor, and an elevator/lift for higher floors. We received a nice bottle of wine and a bottle of water in the small refrigerator in the kitchenette. We enjoyed the complimentary wine, thank you! There was plenty of items to use in the kitchen, although we did not need them. The beds were very comfortable, and the adjoining bathroom was set up well. There was a lot of space! We all enjoyed our rooms, and the location was fantastic. Family members on the 6th floor also enjoyed skyline views. There was a neat library on the lower level we enjoyed. We were able to walk to many nearby shops and restaurants and had a lovely dinner at a nearby restaurant after checking in. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. Check in and check out were fairly easy. We were there for a cruise, and when we checked out, we simply walked a few blocks to the port. Thanks Urbanaunts for making our stay special!
