Urbano Bistro Cafe & Restaurant

We walked in about 8pm for a table and I'm so glad we chose here, the food is outstanding. We had steaks which were cooked to perfection, and everything was made with love, each individual part of the meal was delicious. The bruschetta we had to start was also incredible, each one flavoured so well. It was so good here, we came back the next day for brunch 😂 Brunch was alsp delivious well balanced and flavoured! Thw service was wonderful! We were only in Rotarua for 1 night and have no regrets about eating here twice.

Urbano Bistro offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. When we asked to change tables, the staff kindly suggested seating us on the bar side, which turned out to be much quieter. The cosmopolitans were excellent and very 😍 generously poured, and the food was truly delicious. A special mention goes to both the lamb and the chicken, which were perfectly prepared, presented and full of flavour. Not the cheapest option in town but certainly worth it. The service throughout the evening was impeccable — highly professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

A completely cozy, quiet, and irresistibly delicious little spot where you can linger over a cup of coffee paired with a tiny, adorable one-bite cookie. For lunch, I went for the chowder seafood soup and the Urbano salad — everything was unbelievably fresh and delicately flavorful. The waiter was incredibly sweet and happily answered all my curious questions about the dishes. I’ll definitely be coming back — no doubt about it! ❤️

It was pretty quiet when we went because we’re Mexican, so we eat dinner late, but I ordered the fish of the day and wow 🤩 delicious! The fish was perfectly cooked and the sauce was creamy and flavorful! Everyone else also seemed to enjoy their food with the exception of the pumpkin soup which lacked flavor. Good dining experience overall!

Highly recommend this place to everyone who want to celebrate a special day! I had the lamb there and it was juicy, tender, and savory! Entree shrimp was fresh and bouncy as well. Their service was beyond the top! Christian is so professional and friendly! We had good time there and definitely will go back again!

Urbano Bistro delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The ambience was really peaceful, creating a relaxed and enjoyable setting. The service was impeccable — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented and full of flavour. A special mention to the black pudding in the Big Breakfast, along with the Catch of the Day and the Eggs Benedict, all of which were amazing and cooked to perfection. Pricing is fair, especially considering the quality of the food and service. An easy 5-star experience and a must-visit when in Rotorua. Highly recommended.

OMG it was very good. We didn’t think much of it. Came because the hotel recommended… We had Eggs Benedict and the Omelet of the day (spinach, onion, cheese and bacon). The bread tastes like it is homemade…Also 2 coffees. Everything was great and tasty. Price affordable. Definitely recommend.
