Lovely campsite with access to the beach, nice hot and cold showers. Went there in September so not the peak season which means you can easily have no neighbors so quite a quiet spot to relax. Only downside would be the access from the road (highway) which can be a bit scary as cars go fast. But you just need to be patient and wait for the right moment 😉

Large amazing campsite short walk to great beach clean facilities and even a hot shower if required. Not my first visit and won’t be my last

Great location in regards to the beach, there is a bit of traffic noise if the wind is off shore it’s a bit noticeable Not too bad Lovely spots to stop The lady in check on was so friendly

One of the best beaches for walking & swimming. Plenty of space in campground, facilities provided are good, longdrops are clean.

Arrived today and set up the caravan and awning. There are no specific sites just pick your own and pitch. There must be a 3 metre gap between sites.the guy on the mower was very friendly and helpful. 99 percent of the showers are cold but there is one set of hot showers that cost $2. Plenty of water on site and it is safe to drink. All rubbish is pack in a pack out. There is no electricity. No pets, no fires, we are here for a long stay. Unfortunately there is a second to my review and that is don't be here on long weekends as people don't care about distances and pitch where ever they want to. I have 3 fire extinguishers and a very well equipped first aid box Doc you need to administer in a way that it is safe for all campers. I won't be back on a long weekend ever again. I'll pay the difference and stay in a camping ground.

Amazing campsite run by the local council. Plenty of sites to camp, rabbits, wild goat's and Kiwis live in the bush.

Came here for one night in our campervan. Beautiful location, maybe a bit close to the SH1 so offshore wind brings Road noise, but otherwise peaceful and next to a lovely beach. Lots of open space to pick your spot. Facilities are okay and quite basic. At $15 per person it’s really good value. Recommend

An okay large camp site, no direct view to the beach from the camp, have stayed in far better camps for the same fee, will suggest staying somewhere else
