Horrible customer service. I filled out to get my drivers license from since April of 2025 we are now in October it’s been 6 months and no update. Everytime I go to the facility they tell we’re going call you in 2 weeks to get your actual drivers license and still I have no drivers license and I work at a job where my drivers license is NEEDED!!!

I came to the BMV to get my permit. I didn’t think I was going to be here for about 3 hours and this is my second day coming back. The lady even gave me and my mom the wrong directions to the notary. I honestly wouldn’t come back if I had the choice to. BMV please do better.

The new location is on the money, well spenda. It's a well organized and the customer service windows are spread out to make the service go smoothly. I went in to register two cars and l came out in less than twenty minutes. The staffing was adequately with the amount of customers. Great job 👍🏽

Its not that hard, R.

They don't have to be so terrible. Honestly, why it takes 3 hours to simply pay for a renewal on your car is really not understandable. Three years running and it is bad. The people of the island deserve better than getting treated this way. No wonder everybody is so angry and mad at the government. It's going to be worse than terrible so anything you get better than that experience, chock it up as a win and celebrate.

Been a while since I had to deal with the BMV. I was really worried that it would have taken an all day affair. But it only took me about an hour and a half to complete everything. This includes registering a new car to the island, getting the moving permit, presenting the car to the inspection lane in sub-base, and finally returning to the BMV to complete the paperwork. I also like the fact that now everything is printed in front of you and if any corrections can be made quickly. This a a big step up from before.

I renew the vehicle registration for the first time online. Avoid trying to go in person due to Covid. I have questions and concern regarding the registration. I've been calling the ST. Croix office BMV , no one answered and not even an answering machine picked up. I sent various email to the email address provide on the website with my questions, and concerns. I set it with a delivery receipt. it was delivered to over 40 email addresses and not one reply to date. this was 2 days ago. I understand due to the current circumstance they are delays, or even short staffed, but we don't know these things as we are not able to get in touch with anyone and/or online website should provide a message regarding this issue.

Our experiences was very very frustrating. Imagine for 3 months coming back and forth to the office waiting if when my husband can apply a state id or a driver’s license.According to the in charge when we came their for the first time my husband can’t apply even if he has a complete required documents needed like passport, SSN, DS-2019, I-94, rental agreement, driver’s license from our country and driving record because he is only my dependent. She needs to verify first to the director. Imagine for 3 months of waiting nothing happened. My husband has a J2 visa. As far as I know from USCIS, J visa can apply any of those Id’s if he has a complete documents needed. I even gave her a copy which I read from the USCIS website of whom who are eligible. She said that the rule in the States immigration is not the same in USVI. I told her there are a lot of people whom I know, their dependents who’s here in the islands with the same documents of what my husband have are given an opportunity to apply and got their id’s. She said they are lucky because they are given. Unlucky for us.The last time when we go back to follow up, the in charge asking additional document which is a working permit. Imagine for 3 months of coming back and forth to the office it is just that time she asked. Unlucky my husband’s working permit was just expired. Another frustration because she said again that he can’t really apply for it.I told her, why now you asked instead of asking for the first time we came. She said if we can bring the working permit or certification for reapplying then they will allow my husband to apply. I can’t do anything because that is what she want. My point of view was, why the office is not consistent of the documents needed. Other doesn’t have a working permit which according to them the office is not asking for it when they applied and they are given. In our part it is really really unfair. We came there bringing all legal documents.During the last time we go there I almost fainted because I was very frustrated. I felt sorry for ourselves “we are unlucky persons”. I hope no one will experience of what we had.
