Our tour was a profound experience. Our driver and Dre were excellent. This tour is something I highly recommend for anyone visiting the capital. The knowledge shared reinforces the truth that there is no United States of America without the vast and numerous contributions of the African American. Given today's political climate and the active effort to sanitize our history, this is a tour that is imperative for all people.

Google
Tyrone and Calvin were safe and efficient drivers. Evan was an excellent guide, with informative and interesting commentary along with a couple funny jokes. They made sure we were comfortable and this tour was well worth the money. We saw all the sites we wanted to see and got lots of great photos.

Google
I highly recommend DC At Dusk tour with Dion. He had all the fun facts and great energy. I signed up thinking it would be a fun way to play with night photography, but we got so much more! Best tour guide and bus driver! #13

Google
The DC At Dusk tour was professional and enlightening! Chad and Tracy made the experience enjoyable with their adaptable approach. Each stop, from the Lincoln Memorial to the Marine Corps War Memorial, offered beautiful views under the full harvest moon night sky. It’s a great way to explore the city after dark. Thanks, Chad Smitson and Tracy Miller, for such a memorable night!

I would highly recommend the Best of DC Tour VIP with the Boat Tour and National Archives. I felt like we hit almost everything we wanted to see on this one tour..we had a wonderful day! We had an open air bus ..loved it! And also toured the US Capitol building and had a wonderful lunch at the Washington Harbour after our boat tour. NICK our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable of everything we visited. He was very nice and accommodating to my youngest son that has disabilities due to a traumatic brain injury as a child. My son just bonded with him right off. Our bus driver that day was amazing as well! She was so sweet, helpful and accommodating as well. I have attached just a few photos but I took tons. Amazing and very special trip for our family! We were there recently on May 14, 2025. We were there during Police Week to honor my late husband that is a fallen officer. They made our trip so much better during the emotional days we were having!

Google
Idecided to book an African American history tour in Washington, DC with a stop at the National Museum of African American History and Culture…and it was absolutely worth it! Dre was not only incredibly informative. I loved soaking up the history, learning about the rich culture and contributions of African Americans, and exploring some iconic landmarks (and hidden ones too). I highly recommend this DC African American heritage tour to everyone. I’ll be booking again when friends and family come to town. A fantastic, educational, and fun tour for all ages!

Google
We absolutely loved our day tour yesterday! He had guide Brittany who was sweet and very knowledgeable. The driver Kenny was nice and respectful gentleman making sure we got everywhere nice and safe. The day was long and we had a boat ride which was a nice break to relax. We had lunch at the harbor area before going on the 45 min boat ride which was a good duration. My family enjoyed the tour despite it being a long and hot day , Brittany did great keeping up with everything . The cool topless bus was super cool and different from any tour we went on! This 6 hour tour with boat ride is soo worth it to see so much in one day !!

Jackie Kevitt

Google
Noah and Tonya demonstrated exceptional hospitality. His historical insights were particularly engaging. The only area for improvement would be to enhance proximity to the White House. The boat ride was just okay not much to see but it was a nice break.

Yelp
What a great tour. We took the evening tour. It was beautiful. The driver and tour guide were great. Professional, friendly, and fun. I learned lots of facts I didn't know previously. Felt more connected to my country's history. On top of that they looked out for all of us. Safety and well being was a priority. I highly recommend Sean the driver and 13.

Yelp
BLUF: DC by Dusk Tour was an efficient way to see about eight monuments under moonlight and many other sights. One of my friends and I went on the DC by Dusk Tour with Sam and Sean and loved it! After a long, hot, humid day of walking around DC it was so nice to unwind by being driven around in a clean and heavily air conditioned bus that provided chilled water. We loved the narration of Sam and we're grateful to Sean for safely driving the bus around the city! We enjoyed visiting the Capitol, White House, WW II Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, MLK Memorial, Marine Corps Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial and Lincoln memorial during the evening hours. Our tour started at 7:30pm and we were back to our parking garage before it closed at 11pm. Sam was super awesome corralling the cats in a charismatic way and telling us about history as we passed by various sights and buildings between monuments. Shout out to Sean too for dropping us off so close to the monuments, keeping the bus cool and maintaining a well stocked cooler of refreshing water. I loved seeing both the sights of DC under team work and the teamwork of this great duo. I had such a good time that I am already eying up another USA Guide Tour like the Scandal Tour or the Christmas Lights Tour.

Yelp
Small Group Tour of DC - Open-Top or Glass-Top Luxury Bus I recently booked a tour for my husband and myself through Wyndham tours organized by Viatours which we have used before.. It was a very hot day (real feel- 81 to 104) and we were very disappointed in our tour and guide, Rob. Although he was knowledgeable about history , he seemed to like to hear himself talk. There were 4 seniors (including us) and he paid no attention to the fact that it was very hot. He made a stand looking at the Vietnam war memorial for at least 20 minutes in the hot sun, and even when I asked to move on he wouldn't. he told story after story about the names on the wall, and it he had looked at his audience he would have noticed the heat people were suffering and the lack of interest. After that he took us to the Jefferson memorial and wanted everyone to climb the stairs after that long stand in the blazing sun. I asked him what we would see after that and he mentioned 3 more memorials and said "And I will continue to tell stories." in a nasty voice because I had asked to shorten the stories about the men and women inscribed on the Vietnam Memorial He also told some very inappropriate "wife" jokes that were degrading to women. I was insulted and disgusted. Another issue was that he said we would not visit the National Archives let alone the VIP access described on line: I recently booked a tour for my husband and myself through Wyndham website .. Step aboard our unique glass-top or open-top small-capacity luxury tour bus for an unforgettable journey through the heart of the nation's capital. Enjoy VIP access to the National Archives Building, followed by a refreshing boat cruise showcasing the city's stunning skyline. In winter, we get to explore the Kennedy Center for lunch where we can see exhibits and galleries, stunning views from the terrace and shop in the gift shops [show your ticket for a discount]! Immerse yourself in the rich history and grandeur of the National Mall on a captivating seven-hour adventure. Witness the majestic beauty of every memorial and monument, as our knowledgeable guides reveal the secrets of iconic landmarks such as the White House, the National Monuments, and Memorials! We left the tour at that point, very unhappy with our purchase, since this was one of the most expensive tours. When you click on "itinerary" on the website, nothing shows up which leads me to believe that each guide just does their own thing. We paid over $200 for a very unsatisfactory day based on the reviews on this tour. We thought that among the iconic landmarks we would visit Washington Memorial, which we only saw from afar. Yelp
Overall very good. Driver and docent were entertaining and very informative. But the experience started off very badly when the company dropped the ball in picking 6 of us up at our hotel. Had to Uber over on their dime in a small suv. No apologies from them, no answers as to why.

Yelp
Rating: 5.0 03/2025 Booked the Discover DC tours online via third-party. It was discounted and it was very easy. In no time I received an email with my tickets and I printed them and downloaded the E ticket on my phone. The day of the excursion we made sure we were early on the meeting site . There was a line for check-in for they give you different color wristbands based on the type of tour you paid. We were fortunate enough to be with Mr. Dion as our tour guide and Mr. Calvin (he would "come on down" as if we were in a game show )as our driver. The bus was comfortable, very squeaky, but they provided us with water throughout the day. Mr. Dion was knowledgeable and funny and very thorough. He took attendance with each and every stop and inside the bus. He used a microphone inside the bus and who was learning clear outside. We saw so many things and so many places in six hours . I am grateful for the water and the bathroom breaks. The tour allowed us to get from one place to another without the hassle of driving or taking an Uber or finding parking. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Me and my Friend went to the DMV for her birthday and we took THE BOX THE BUS TOUR and our guide was Raphael he was the best!!! Very informative, Patient and Detailed! The tour lasted 4 hours and I enjoyed every bit of it! The tour consisted of a tour of the capital, The White House, MLK Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and a tour of the best spots in DC and it is some special treats that are provided during the middle of the tour! You will not be disappointed!!

Karrie M.

Yelp
Nick was amazing. He knows his stuff and made it a fun filled day in DC. If you have a day, check the VIP Tour of DC.

Dena J.

Yelp
Although it poured down rain and the wind whipped at us from every direction, our DC Night Tour was a highlight of our trip. Buzz and Shawn were fantastic, providing us with a safe, informative trip around the National Mall. This is a MUST DO before you leave the nation's capital.

Yelp
USA tours did a great job Joey & Leonard were wonderful. Disappointed that Mount Vernon mansion was 90% closed for renovations and nobody mentioned this when booking the tour

Yelp
My wife and I took a night monuments tour with USA Guided Tours on Valentine's Eve this year , and we had a wonderful time learning about the monuments and history of Washington, DC that evening. The 40- or so seat tour bus was warm and very comfortable to be in during that cold February evening, and our driver and tour guide was very good in guiding us to the sights and explaining the monuments we see with insights and good amount of humor too. Highly recommended this tour company for sightseeing tours in Washington DC, and on the chance we get to visit the city again, we will certainly do the daytime tours as well.

Janet R.

Yelp
Noahm was great - very interesting and lots of facts about the different stops. Pace of tour was great

Yelp
We lucked out and booked one of the best tours ever!! Rocky and Curtis took great care of us and really made this experience so memorable for our family. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable we couldn't have asked for a better duo!

Angel S.

Yelp
Dre is the bomb. Wealth of knowledge and great presentation! Can't ask for better! Highly recommend!

Denise G.

Yelp
The tour went well. Our tour guide Deon and driver Leonard were great. The air conditioning on the bus was not working well so the experience was very hot.

Brian J.

Yelp
Derek and Shawn/Sean were great, very informative and made it entertaining. The tour at dusk added to the experience. 10/10

James M.

Yelp
The Dc at Dusk tour was very interesting. The guide was knowledgeable, the glass top bus comfortable. They picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel. THEN they went over and above to let us know that N left her phone on the bus, calling us that evening and bringing it to our hotel in the morning. WOW - THANK YOU!!

Tobey T.

Yelp
Purchased the VIP Best of DC with US Capitol & National Archives reserved entry tour for our group of 9. Very disappointed that we were not taken closer to the White House due to time constraints which is a bunch of bs. 2. We were just taken inside the national archives and left there to explore on our own without any guided tour. Our tour ended at 3:30 pm when it should've been 4:30 pm .

Yelp
Here's a great tour to view NYC's landmarks by @usaguidedtours The bus leaves from Manhattan and travels through the city to show you the Big Apple I think this tour is great for tourists who don't have to worry about planning the itinerary!

Ted R.

Yelp
Sam and his partner were the best! Super informative, funny and made the whole group feel safe and in great hands! Hight recommend.

H Z.

Yelp
Nick and Leah did a fabulous job with getting us to all the National Monuments, filling our heads full of interesting facts, and sprinkling in humor along the way! The Capitol tour was amazing, ending with the National Archives was perfect, and walking through the many memorials reminded us of the price that's been paid for our freedoms. It is a tour worth every penny! :)

Barb L.

Yelp
Dctourgod Nicholas Tourgod McCall and his van driver (beautiful woman) were both exceptional. Nick knew lots of history, and jokes and he kept us on track to see everything. I highly recommend him and his driver. Sorry I did not get her name but she had a knee brace on 8/2/2025 was our tour 1st one of the day. It was an 8 hour tour.
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Thank you Nick so much for the incredible tour each and every day! Your knowledge of the area and passion for sharing its history really made the experience unforgettable and the jokes were hilarious . It's clear that you love what you do, and it truly shines through in your storytelling and interactions with the group. Keep up the fantastic work Nick, you are the best! Kudos to Eric for getting us to our destination smoothly and on time!"

Yelp
Raphael was a great tour guide. Very informative and knowledgeable. I learned a lot on my first trip to Washington DC
google avatar

Generosa C.

Yelp
Katiana was our amazing tour guide who was knowledgeable on all the points of interest and made learning about them so much FUN! Curtis, our driver, got us to all of our stops quickly and safely. We definitely felt safe and comfortable with him behind the wheel. This tour is a must and if you're lucky you can experience it with Katiana and Curtis!

Yelp
Best tour I've ever had! Brittany & Maggie were an awesome team, keeping us well informed, on time & safe! I absolutely recommend setting aside a day and covering all the amazing inside information Brittany has to offer!
google avatar

Travis F.

Yelp
Sam (tour guide) and Tanya (driver) were awesome, great service, free waters, and covered all the major monuments while providing historical context throughout.
google avatar

Yelp
We ended up taking two very similar tours in Washington dc. The USA guided tour with Evan as the guide and Maggie as driver was superior. Maggie spotted the coach so close to the curb for easy exit it was unbelievable Evan had great facts reguarding every stop and monument. Truly enjoyable for all ages

Yelp
Hey Rae !! I had the good fortunate of treating my German friend to a short (weekend) stay at the Mayflower Hotel in D.C. where we learned about this tour we took. My friend repeatedly described the tour as EXCELLENT. We would not have managed so many monument and memorial and generally important sites in D.C. in such an abbreviated time that was so thorough. Rae kept it fun too! Politics were avoided thankfully so there was no negative divisive overtone, and whatever did arise was quickly dropped. A young man in a 2020 Donald J. Trump hat was perfectly safe, and was not accosted in any way. We did the night time tour and so -- sure some things are not so visible -- but it was also sort of a more magical 'feel'. The mural in the Lincoln memorial was difficult to make out at all, and that was the only disappointment in "lighting" at the monuments that I'd vote (contribute to fund) to add lighting. Very thoughtfully, Rae our tour guide and Calvin our bus driver were using flashlights to keep us safe -- and calling out the time left on the "walk" crossing timer things. There was a whole lot of on and off but was surprisingly smooth.
google avatar

Ariana R.

Yelp
Amazing time! Dion and Anthony were great had us on time to every location and held an amazing amount of knowledge! Just made the tour go smoothly. Great time! Definitely wear comfortable shoes and clothing just to make the walking a breeze.
google avatar

Jennifer E.

Yelp
I took a tour of DC today and it was great! Our tour guide was Brittany. Our driver was Joe. Both were very upbeat and pleasant. Brittany was very knowledgeable and gave background on each site we visited. Joe also helped me pick the best seat since I was the first arrival. I will recommend this to all my family and friends!
google avatar

Shannon O.

Yelp
So knowledgeable and fun, Leonard was our drive and I felt safe, and Joey was our tour guide and I loved all her knowledge about everything we saw, and they gave us plenty of time to view the monuments!! Thanks for the fun!!!

Shannon B.

Yelp
Clearer communication when booking a tour. The request for accommodations question should let people know that you don't provide a wheelchair. And the manager to say that we would have had to pay extra for a wheelchair. I've been to multiple museums here in DC & they all provide wheelchairs at no cost. So the box to put in accommodations would mean that they would provide a bus that is ADA equipped but the bus we took was not ADA equipped. And then no empathy or partial refund because we couldn't exit the bus at every stop.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Terrific tour of all the D.C. staples and monuments. Tour guide dished out some corny but funny jokes that made a lot of us chuckle along with free bottled water and great A/C on the first half of the trip. Towards the end they turned off the A/C but it was a nice night, so I did not mind. Reasonably priced and if you want to get as much of D.C in as you can and not want to deal with all the driving, parking, etc in the most touristy areas I think this is a brilliant move. As always people SYOY!!!
google avatar

Maxi P.

Yelp
Great tour! Maggie was our driver. She was awesome and out tour guide was Dion. He was very knowledgeable, funny , had great stories and insights. Even my 10 year old was engaged and interested the whole tour. They did an amazing job.
google avatar

Jo V.

Yelp
The tour was so great. They hit up majority of all the spots. Everything at night was magical and not too crowded. Nick was an excellent guide and Theo was our driver. Bottled water was provided and there were bathroom stops. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Marlena C.

Yelp
I went on 2 different tours. Both were fantastic. Elvis for the African African American History tour was great. Very informative and patient. Josh and Erica were the best for the night tour! I would absolutely recommend using this company.

Kirk F.

Yelp
Chris is great for Mt Vernon lots of fun facts! Very knowledgeable and quick witted! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
Recently enjoyed a glass top night tour of the monuments and memorials around Washington DC. Rochelle was our tour guide and Sunshine was our driver. Both were amazing! Rochelle was so knowledgeable and was able to share insights and little known facts about all of the sites we visited. Couldn't recommend more highly!
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
The tour was beautiful. The monuments at night are a must see. Our tour guide Raphael was great!!

Anna L.

Yelp
Josh and Erica are awesome!! Highly recommend the night tour. Amazing views and comfortable ride
google avatar

Yelp
Our guide, Evan, was amazing! His knowledge and speaking skills made our tour an immersive experience. Hearing the backstory and details of the city and its monuments brought so much more meaning to everything we saw and every stone step we stood upon. Our appreciation for not only the remarkable individuals who created this unique nation, but the foresight and intent of the designers and builders in creating lasting and meaningful monuments to commemorate our nation's forefathers and also the individuals who bravely and fiercely made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. Thank Evan our guide. And thank you also to our drivers who took us safely through the city. We highly recommend booking your DC experience with USA Tours through Viator.

Yelp
I took the African American History Tour in Washington, D.C.. I usually don't do group tours, preferring to meander my way through things. I'm so glad I made an exception this time. Above all, I want to shout out Dre, our tour guide. This guy has an encycolpedic knowledge of not only African American history in DC, but of history period. He doesn't just read from a prepared script. He engages everyone in dialogue, explains context, and provides insights beyond the historical events themselves. My brain is still spinning from the information he shared. I've purchased 6 books he recommended. I learned so much about so many things I would've walked right by on my own. I'm very grateful. Dre deserves a raise! Highly recommend this tour. And, of course, ask for Dre!

Ellen B.

Yelp
A wonderful experience! Highly recommend the night tour! Request Trina and Thomas! Trina was an incredible navigator and Thomas an exceptional tour guide!
google avatar

I. J.

Yelp
We took the night tour. It was great! My guided tour was Christopher and driver was Ed. Great service and very knowledgeable. A great tour to see many of the monuments and at night. I do recommend this tour.

Apryl M.

Yelp
While visiting Washington DC we took two tours with this company. The Discover DC 6-hour Day Tour with Terry and driver Thomas was exceptional! Terry is so knowledgeable and made everything very interesting. We got to see all the major monuments and memorials and felt like it was a great introduction to DC. The bus is comfortable and we were offered plenty of water and bathroom breaks. Stellar day all in all! Our next tour was the Mount Vernon Day Tour with Nick as our guide. Although we thoroughly enjoyed Mt. Vernon, had this been our first experience with USA Guided Tours we would probably not be recommending them. Let me start by saying that Nick has a great personality and seems to know his material, but on this day he had three "trainee guides " with him and he spent his energy on them rather than "guiding" us. We felt rather abandoned once we got to Mt. Vernon, and rushed along with little or no commentary. In conclusion, this is most likely a good tour company, but it may be hit and miss, depending upon whom you get as your guide.

Yelp
This review is for the : "Washington DC in One Day: Guided Sightseeing Tour". Excellent way to see the most of Washington D.C. in one day especially if you only have a day or two. It's also a great orientation of the city for further exploration. It's a full day with many stops (quite a bit of walking ) that allows you great photos. Restrooms are pointed out by the guide at various stops. There are no building entries (Capital ,White House etc.). The bus was air conditioned, comfortable seating , and had a fully stocked cooler of bottled water. You are allowed a small backpack (bring snacks) etc. Our guide (Dion "13") was so informative snd provided great historical insight to all the sites we visited and passed along the way. The boat cruise (wine , beer , and simple drinks were for sale onboard ) was very pleasant and lasted about an hour. You have a break to grab lunch at the waterfront complex.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
I did the Discover DC tour; our tour guides name was Deon. Five star tour all the way. We visited some very prominent monuments and DC attractions. Worth every penny.

Rebeka C.

Yelp
My husband and I took a two guided tour of DC with USA Guided Tours. The first Tour was our first day in DC. We wanted to see the sights and get an idea of what to expect on our stay. Rebecca and Antonio were so impressive that we decided to take the evening tour with the same company. We were fortunate to have Antonio as our driver again, and Derrick was an amazing guide. We would definitely recommend USA Guided Tours and if we get the chance will use them again! Thank you!!

Marnie R.

Yelp
Mr. Map was very informative and funny! All the sights se saw and the parking locations were great!
