"If you’re interested in the architecture, Modernism Week usually happens once a year in the spring, but there are tours year round. I haven’t gone on any, but I like to bike around and see the homes: There’s the Bob Hope house by John Lautner up on a hill. It’s this crazy dome shape."

USO is a great place for military. They have sleep area, games, video games, food and snacks. All free to active and retired military and their family. There is a shower room, computers, wifi, and printers, nice comfortable recliners. 29-PSP provides free rides to and from the base with reservations in advance.

Such a valuable and useful resource for all service members but especially young Junior Marines that are trying to get home. The staff is welcoming and always happy to help, nothing but a positive experience anytime I stop by

Came to this USO totally lost. Hadn’t got contact info or any sort of way to get ahold of the people I needed to in Twentynine Palms. They had great advice and helped me get where I needed to go. Plus they were super friendly and the snacks were great and well stocked. Best USO i’ve ever been to by far

I was two minutes late for my flight 5 in the morning and my new flight wasn’t until 4pm. This is one of the best USOs I’ve been to. They have amazing hospitality and the volunteer named Virginia was very sweet and welcoming. Highly recommended

This is a great USO. They have lots of snacks and and a few other food options including hot dogs and sandwiches. They also have a pool table and some video games. Upstairs they have an entire huge room with comfy chairs to relax and\or nap.

Yelp
One of our perks as a United States military veteran is the USO facility at many U.S. airports where we can get a snack, rest etc. When I travel I make it a point to stop in to the USO before continuing my journey. Today was no different. I visited the Palm Springs, CA USO as I prepared to return home from a business trip. This USO Iis in a separate building on the other side of the car return lot. It is huge!! The volunteer staff are exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Ron Meire (sp) gave me a tour which included showing me a news clipping of him that was posted on the bulletin board. The clipping was the announcement of his enlistment in the military in 1967. He was assigned overseas to South Korea. . His dipping was among other news clippings of others who have served.. Ron, it was a pleasure meeting you today---thank you for your service, and thank you for continuing to serve!!! I salute you, sir!!!

Yelp
Update: if I could I would give them 10 stars THEY HAVE A SHOWER!!! I love this USO, mainly because the people are extremely helpful and kind. The facilities are great with multiple food options the gameroom is cool and the bathrooms are clean. I had a flight change that pushed my leave time from 630 AM to 500 PM and this was the perfect place for me to chill and just re-engerize.

Yelp
One of my favorite USOs. I've stopped by here numerous times the past few years. Most of the time picking up Or dropping off Sailors/Marines from emergency leave. Primary customers are the Marines and Sailors based at MCAGCC Twentynine Palms. Positives: + Service- Friendly all volunteer force. Most are vets/retirees offering a happy smile and a hot meal. Some of them experienced the suck(Camp Wilson/ITX/CAX/Mojave Viper) and genuinely are glad to see you survive. + Lounging around- Decent sized space to lounge around for a small airport. Lots of seats in the kitchen area and upstairs. + Free- USO is a by donation organization supporting the troops and beneficiaries. Coffee and a light hot dog/ice cream float to fill your hunger. Don't need to buy over priced airport food. + Parking- free designated stalls for those using the services. Thank you Palm Springs USO for the hospitality!

Yelp
Not all organizations that use "the USO" name are in fact the U.S. Congressionally chartered public service organizations (USO National) that offers/provides a whole host of community support programs and services for active duty military members, U.S. military reserve members, National Guard members from more than 52 state, district and federal territories, and DoD military retirees ... and their family members! A case in point is the Bob Hope USO organization (Headquartered in the Greater Los Angeles Area), which operates the USO center at the Palm Springs International Airport. I am a retired active duty Air Force veteran with more than 20-years service and possess a current retired military (picture) ID. I have served as USO Airport Center volunteer in years gone by, too. Recently, I was traveling between Palm Springs International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on a major air carrier. When I went to check into the Bob Hope USO Palm Springs Center, I was turned away/denied admittance because I would not show the Bob Hope USO Palm Springs volunteer my air travel boarding pass in addition to my current military retied ID. No other USO airport center, in the country to the best of my knowledge/personal experience, adds to the standard requirement for a current, valid military ID for entrance to any USO facility ... a same day airline's boarding As a matter of personal privacy, safety and security, I will only show my travel documents and government issue picture ID to authorized TSA agents, law enforcement officers and airline customer service agents ... period!!

Yelp
I love the Palm Springs USO. It is my second home. The food, volunteers, and resources available to service members are awesome. The current location is great and it needs to stay where it is. Keep this USO alive and well funded!

Yelp
One of the best USO :) The volunteers are nice and very welcoming. Although it was a short stay, we had such as relaxing time over there.

Yelp
This USO is one of the best I've been to. The volunteers are incredibly helpful and welcoming. As soon as I arrived and checked in they showed me where to store my bag and gave me a tour of the facility (which is much larger than most airport USOs). On the main level there's a canteen (stocked with multiple kinds of sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, various sodas, water, chips, energy bars etc), restrooms, a shower facility, and a pool table I believe. Upstairs is the lounge area with five recliners, a couch, a large table, various other seats, and a big screen tv. There are also multiple computers and a restroom up here as well. This USO is well maintained and very clean; it's definitely worth visiting if you have some time to kill at the airport! Unlike most USOs this one is not attached to the airport, instead it's in a building close by. It's probably a five minute walk and the signs to it are easy to understand so there shouldn't be a problem finding it. Enjoy! :)

Yelp
I am impressed with all the upgrades, and as always; friendly USO volunteers make this place great.
