It goes without saying that the view from our outdoor table at the top of the stunning Oberalp Pass was absolutely breathtaking. Surrounded by high alpine peaks and serene landscapes, it created the perfect atmosphere for a memorable experience.
What truly surprised us, though, was how this cozy spot far exceeded our expectations. We had anticipated basic food and dessert options, but the friendly and attentive staff quickly proved us wrong with some fantastic recommendations.
We started with a non-alcoholic grapefruit drink—a unique blend that stood out from the usual soft drinks, water, or alcohol. It was both refreshing and different—definitely something worth trying!
But the real highlight? The desserts.
The Cremeschnitte was homemade and offered a delightful twist on the classic Swiss pastry—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Then came the apple cake with ice cream, also made in-house and served so elegantly that we almost didn’t want to dig in. It tasted even better than it looked: warm, comforting, and deliciously unique.
All in all, this place gave us so much more than the standard pit stop we expected—it delivered creative food, welcoming service, and stunning alpine views.
