Utö Värdshus Hotell & Konferens

We have been in the habour with our sailing-yacht and had diner at this beautiful restaurant. As it was my husband's birthday I choose a table at the inner veranda. A beautiful decorated quite room, where only an elder couple was sitting celebrating their 60th weeding day! This is the place to be for special moments. The dinner was excellent and the service perfect. We highly recommand Utö Vardshus.

Delicious food and drinks in a great atmosphere with a very helpful service! The fish stew and the steak were scrumptious

We had one of the "lodges" which comprises a main room with a double bed, sitting area with armchair and two seats bed settee and a mini kitchen. All the furniture and kitchen stuff came from IKEA, looked good and was very comfortable especially the bed. There was a separate single bedroom and a wet/shower room. No thoughts on rooms elsewhere on site. Breakfast was served in the main building and was very decent. A large buffet of everything, the best scrambled eggs and a waffle maker. You can also squeeze your own oranges. We also ate in the restaurant and had good fillet of beef with the usual trimmings and nice chips. Generous portions too. Some attention has been given to access certainly in the lodges with wide doorways and fairly level threshold at the front door though not so good for the decking. There are a lot of activities for the young close by, down by the harbour. Would be happy to return.

What a great hotel. I was pleasantly surprised after reading some bad reviews. It was perfect for me and my friend who were doing a hiking holiday in the Stockholm Archipelago. This was supposed to be the most touristy island and I expect it is in mid summer but pre-season it was really quiet. ||We had a cabin with terrace and picnic bench overlooking the village and sea. Plenty of room inside and an extra small bedroom besides the twin beds in the large lounge/kitchen area.| |We had a meal on the evening we arrived and it was superb. I am vegetarian and had a dish of roasted cauliflower with a chickpea sauce. It was delicious. My friend had the fish and was very happy with that. With wine and dessert the bill was roughly the same as going out in the UK. Breakfast was amazing the following morning and I was sad to leave. Wish I had booked for two nights. The staff were so friendly. I notice they do good value packages for weekends. It is certainly worth considering if in Stockholm. It is only a 30 minute car ride plus an hour on the ferry to get there.

Fantastic restaurant! Tasty food, price is similar to Stockholm city, The stuff serving us gently and thoughtfully. Beautiful sea view, nice quiet garden. Recommend!
