Horrible experience, three out of six days - during a heat wave - without AC. Promises to send technicians during our stay or any fans at all never materialized. Daughter with a severe pulmonary condition had a breathing episode on one of those nights due to the extreme heat. Broken, rusted-out grill was a major issue, as we had confirmed multiple times that the unit had one in order cook outside to keep indoor temps down. Dirty, poorly equipped and furnished home. Two rooms with burned out or broken lights. Exposed nails in multiple rooms. Heavy wall hangings left leaning in unsafe positions. Truly horrible staff who seem to serve zero purpose. Intentionally circular communication designed to frustrate the guest into giving up. Repeated multiple complaints, calls, emails and texts asking for any help at all were completely ignored, other than dropping a grill off two days before stay was over. Avoid this company at all costs. Not worth it at all.

You’d think a 10k per week rental would be functional and clean, unfortunately not even close to the case. A dryer that is still broken from a year ago when we reported it during our last trip. Broken toilet seats, broken door handles, dirt & grime on all floors, disgusting bathtub that doesn’t drain. The blinds on both sliders are broken. Dining room lights don’t work. Sand in the beds on “clean sheets”. Wrappers, hair ties, earring under the bed upon arrival. Coffee pot doesn’t have correct carafe so it won’t actually drip the coffee into the pot. Contacted the management company last year with issues and they apologized and said they would take care of it. A year later, all the same issues. They don’t care, don’t waste your money or your breath. Find something NOT run by this junk management company.

We stayed at Scrimshaw 409 in Corolla, NC. Vacasa failed in several ways. 1. The house was overall not clean, per pictures (dead flies, unclean surfaces, dirty refrigerators, blood stains on a bed, nail clippers on floor, significant dust throughout, moldy door curtains and shower curtains, etc). When we arrived the cleaners were still there and we got a call from Vacasa that our check in was delayed. We waited an hour for the cleaners to finish, which is partly why it was so disappointing that it was in such dirty conditions despite the delay. 2. Air conditioning worked intermittently and was hot in the pm hours. 3. Broken step outside, missing wood anf popped nails on wood flooring that was dangerous. 4. Reported and called customer service several times and made ticket with no response for cleaning requests. Agent said we would get a call back for cleaning that never happened. 5. Fridge was warm up upon arrival and ultimately warmed up but made some cold storage items spoil. The cleaning was the biggest issue. It was not acceptable and very disappointing that cleaners were not sent back, as requested. I spoke to several agents that made promises they did not keep, including the local manager, who promised to call back about a refund. I never got that call. I would not let my family or friends use Vacasa again.

Re: a stay 8/11/24 to 8/14/24 in DE Mallard lakes. I will mainly let the pictures speak for themselves. I will tell you their management is horrible rude and dismissive. Four days later, they picked up the four garbage bags of linens from outside the home, and I called several times. We had to keep moving the bags. Took 4 hours to get people to come clean the home that should have been clean before we got there. Dirty dishes in sink, bags of linens outside the door for four days. No towels, no toilet paper, no cleaning supply, missing sheets, blankets, and pillows thrown on the floor in the closet. There is so much more to see and say some pictures attached. Stay away from anything Vacasa managed. If using airbnb or vrbo, check to see who the management company is as well. Sadly, I doubt the ower knows any of this.

DO NOT BOOK VACASA. Completely disgusting and dirty. Piles of old dusty trash on the patio as well and dirt everywhere. The dishwasher and hot water to the sink didn’t work. When plumbers came out they said VACASA INTENTIONALLY turned off the hot water which I’m not sure how that’s allowed or legal. We booked them through VRBO and are extremely disappointed that VRBO allowed this. We will never be using VRBO again.

They are not sympathetic at all after they take your money for a property thar is falsely advertising as a lake house . They didn't even offer to put us in another property knowing we had no where to go. It looks like an abandoned property and they are advertising a beautiful lake house. Mice and fleas but mice droppings all over. Mice running across floor. Total scam

Golden Sands 2013, Ocean City, MD. First off, the condo was actually ok, it served its purpose. My issue is with the Vacasa reps, building maintenance, and front desk ladies at walk in. They have water sensors in the bathrooms, which is fine, I can understand having that, However, maintenance wouldn’t even knock when they would come into the condo if the alarm sounded, which it did for EVERY SHOWER, even when there was no water on the floor near sensor, And they did this 2 to 3 times a day for the first three days. We took showers with the bathroom doors open for the rest of the stay so this would not continue to happen. This place was rented by an adult over 25 who was staying during the entire booking with her daughter and friends, who are over 18 but under 25. Nowhere in the contract does it say if I am at the beach or shopping and my ADULT daughter wants to come to the condo to make some lunch or change her clothes, that I have to leave what I am doing and come up here with her. The Vacasa reps bothered my group 3 times during this stay, And threatened my adult daughter that we were in breach of contract, even though I was literally staying the entire time. Our booking was apparently before open season and they gave us two parking passes, Dated until the end of our stay, However, the day before our last day, we were called several times to move one of our vehicles because it’s only one space per unit. Why do I have a guest pass dated until the next day if I can’t park two vehicles there? The front desk lady said it was a mistake??Overall BEWARE OF BOOKING THROUGH VACASA. Terrible, terrible company and a shame they bought out a ton of places to rent from.

My trip was cut short due to allergic reaction. Good things about this condo include that it was steps from the beach, somewhat updated, had pretty countertops, and had new appliances. That’s where the good characteristics of this condo stop. This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. When we entered the dimly lit hallway, we were welcomed by three bags of dirty linens. The hallway was so dark I had to use a flash light to put in the code to check-in. There were crumbs everywhere, food stains on almost every piece of furniture in the living room, carpet stains, a water stain on the wood floor with worse to come the more we cleaned to sit our belongings down. There was dust hanging from the kitchen light fixture, stains on the walls, stains on doors around doorknobs, chipped paint on walls, patio furniture missing feet, and rusted. In the plaid bedding bedroom: there were tiles used for a recent renovation were in the closet of the bedroom, the closet door was broken and therefore difficult to open, and the windows were dirty and had mold buildup on them. My brother informed me that the hallway bathroom toilet was not properly secured to the floor. There was no liner for this halfway shower. There is a missing switchplate on the light switch of the laundry closet; because of this, we could see that there is a screw going through a hot wire. This is incredibly dangerous, and I can only hope this gets fixed and not covered up by a switch plate. The master bedroom was in the best condition in the condo, but there were still many issues. The carpet was stained, the closet door was difficult to open, the blinds had veins missing and many that were there were cracked. The bathroom fan light flickered when used. One of the lamps did not work in this room. I was not a fan of the ‘artwork’ displayed in this room. The bedroom with the white bedspread was by far the worst room. The room's carpet was stained throughout, one lamp didn’t work, the closet door was broken, the cushion of the chair had stains all over it, stains were on the walls, the window had mold on it and was in general disrepair. I had to use a flashlight to actually look through this room it was so dark. There was also a very notable ordor in this room. I’m unsure if it was mold or from a cat, but am positive it may have been from both. I was supposed to stay in this room, but did not due to it triggering my allergies. The first call I received from Vacasa had given me hope that my trip wasn’t entirely ruined. The customer care person said they might be able to get me a half or full refund and find me different accommodations. I understand that it was a car show weekend finding different accommodations that would fit our needs would be unlikely. Then after speaking to her manager, I was told that a lot of the pictures I sent over were “wear and tear.” While wear and tear does happen over time, if the property has gotten to this point I think the “wear and tear” should be repaired before any guest stays at the property. I was also told that the carpets were the responsibility of the condo owner as their cleaning service doesn’t clean carpets. I was offered cleaning to come back and a $100 refund. When I was dissatisfied with this offer, I was offered 10% off my next stay. Since this is the standard that Vacasa holds: I will never be back. I wish I could add pictures to this review as a warning to other people. We left at 8:00 PM on our second night here due to my allergic reaction preventing me from spending more than 15 minutes at a time in the condo. My graduation trip was ruined from staying here. At a minimum, the Vacasa property I stayed at should not be rented out again until: -The light switch screw situation has been addressed by a reputable electrician. -The carpets are cleaned or replaced by a professional. -Stains on chairs are cleaned. -The place is fumigated for mold.
