23 Best Airbnbs in Florida 2024, From Panama City Beach Down to the Keys | Condé Nast Traveler

"This rental is much more than just a resort-style stay with two houses on one property—it is a playground that everyone can enjoy, as I discovered when I stayed here with a big group of friends in the summer of 2023. The amenities are endless and include (but aren't limited to), a heated saltwater pool, tiki bar, firepit, kayaks, hammocks, and volleyball court. While each home has two bedrooms, there are three pull-out couches on the property that can accommodate guests. Each home has a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a large vanity and jetted tub. Down the road, there's a dock that residents often go to fish or kayak to smaller islands found in the Keys." - Madison Flager,Paris Wilson

11188 was a gorgeous and perfect spot for my hubby and I to spend our 4th of July vacation! Lots of places to sit, relax, and enjoy the views. When it got too hot, we would sit in the living room among one of the many large windows and have a drink. As well as, an outside awning that would extend out to give us some shade and cool off the patio. Boat slip right outside so you could easily load the boat with drinks, towels, and then off fishing, snorkeling, or sandbar. The house offered a kayak, floats, fishing poles, snorkeling and other items if you were interested or forgot your own gear. The kitchen had all the cooking and utensils we could need, even an outside grill. Since we had our offshore twin-engine boat, we needed and had plenty of parking for our truck and trailer on-site. In the yard and on the dock, lots of iguanas to look at and feed. We enjoyed several evenings watching the manatees, peacock fish, and lobsters right off the docks! An amazing place to stay!!!!!

Vista Marquesa was a fantastic house for multiple families. The kids room with double bunks was perfect for the kids. We enjoyed the ocean view every morning with a cup of coffee and the nightly stars on the deck over the water. The access by boat is unparalleled. The beautiful wood dining table was just perfect for family dinners. The beds were by far the most comfortable beds we've ever had at a vacation home. The location was great to our favorite restaurants and the grocery store. We will definitely look to stay at this home again in the future.

This was our second year in a row staying with Vacation Rentals of the Florida Keys. The house was incredible and even better than the photos online. We spent most of our days in the amazing pool and spa, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and fishing off the dock. The beach was a short walk from the house and grocery stores, souvenir shops, and bait stores all a short drive away. Kristen Brenner was our property manager and was really easy to work with. The booking and communication prior to arrival was great and she responded within a few minutes when we had questions. Overall, a five star experience for us again this year. Can't wait to rent from you again next March!

Shangri la was just as pictured. Very spacious for 2 couples and one teenager. Enjoyed the pool (we opted for no heat) although the sun doesn’t hit it until just after noon. Lots of wildlife right there - saw manatees, jumping tarpon, iguanas, bull shark, parrot fish and mangrove snappers. Good location - close to some good food and drinks. Jessy was very helpful and accessible. Overall, a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in the little paradise on earth in Marathon with my family. It was perfect for our fishing husbands and my sister and I had fun with our kids in the pool and kayak and paddle boards. We would also walk to Sweet Savannahs for the best ice cream and shop around. My husband enjoyed the ease of getting the boat in and out, the freezer for bait and the outside sink. Jessy was our property manager and was always so quick to help and respond. We appreciate her making our trip so special and so detailed with easy to follow instructions.

This house has a FABULOUS location and had an awesome pool! We absolutely loved being so close to the water- seeing manatees everyday, kayaking, and renting a boat (Cpt. Pip’s will deliver right to the dock!). Fishing & sunsets were phenomenal! We loved that the pool also had a heated option- we warmed it up a few nights. So many amazing restaurants so close by- we went to most by boat! The layout is a bit odd off the bat…but after the first day we didn’t even care. Location is so amazing you’ll get over it quick! If you plan on cooking a bunch, the kitchen cookware is not the best- I’ll just leave it at that. Freezer ice machine doesn’t work, so we had to buy bagged ice. All the kitchen appliances appeared new, so that was nice! We ate out most nights, so the kitchen situation wasn’t really an issue. Coffee pot leaks from the water reservoir, so probably not the best idea to try and have it ready the night before- we learned that on day one, lol. House is a bit rough around the edges, but we didn’t spend much time in it anyway other than to sleep. It served its purpose, and we had the best vacation with our family!! The rental staff was quick to respond to any texts or questions we had- definitely appreciated! Marathon Key is beautiful. Can’t wait to visit again!!!

We had a wonderful stay in the Keys. Perfect location for us. It was relaxing and peaceful. We loved the newly renovated Seaside Cottage. It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed and more. Convenient to coffee, breakfast, boat rental, shopping, and Key West. This is our third year in Marathon celebrating my wife’s birthday and her retirement. Plan to stay here next year!

7/12/25 rented El Tesoro which is canal house. The canal is barely accessible by boat at low tide. A barge blocked the canal for three days of our trip preventing us from coming and going as we please. The rental company said, well you can leave on the boat before 8am and come back after 3pm. OR you must call the barge company and request they move the barge. Another house had to call and waited over an hour for it to be moved. What an absolute inconvenience. We had to put the boat at a marina so that WE could enjoy OUR vacation on OUR time. The rental company called it an unforeseen event and did NOTHING to rectify the situation. We asked if they would contribute to our added expense of marina and they ignored us and never responded ! Horrible customer service!!! Not even willing to even have a conversation about the situation is very unprofessional.

Yelp
Okay so here's the deal. I rented a very nice home from these people and everything went smoothly in securing the property. They provided adequate communication and we arrived at the lovely home with no problems. I will tell you, as past owners of 2 beachfront properties on Pawleys Island, SC and know intimate in's and out's of renting, as we did rent them out from time to time, my wife and I took careful care of the house and property. When there were 2 small issues, the said company jumped on it and expressed appreciation for our help in reporting the issues and they dealt with it per mel. Because of their promptness, we will definitely will be doing business with these folks in the near future...or so we thought. I will tell you the price was not cheap and included a $1,000 safety deposit. But fine, we were initially happy with the experience. My daughter loves art and decided to do art on the painted carport, a 2'x4' area located towards the front of the carport. I want to report there were tire marks noted when we arrived, but, it's a carport after all. We came in a Yukon XL with a Yakima Rocket box on top, so we could not park in the carport, thus, we parked outside the whole week. No problem. But, the issue we had was the day we were leaving, One of the nice ladies who works at said company called and asked if we had a good stay, which I concurred and commented on how well they responded and how we were going to use them again. Unfortunately for me, I did NOT get her name as we were in the throws of packing to be out on time, which we were. I did tell her of the "artwork" done by my daughter and if she would like me to clean it off. I told her where it was and what my daughter used, which was colored chalk. I told her it would be no problem and in fact was going to scrub it off anyway, obviously, as I did not want to incur a charge. She ASSURED me it was fine and not to worry...see where I am going with this? So everything is good, or so I thought. Some days later I received an email, no call, and they informed me the "owner" was upset that there was paint on the carport. I knew exactly what was going to happen and kicked myself for not listening to my inner voice and cleaned it myself. I responded that the nice lady called and I told her specifically of the artwork and if I should go ahead and clean it off and how the lady told me "not to worry about it" and it would be "fine". I do need to point out our daughter used water to spread out the color, which gave it a "painted" look. But was in fact colored chalk. I emailed twice after their original email and stated she had used water which gave it a painted look. But No email was received, no communication from "Vacation Rentals of the Florida Keys" was ever sent to me. I knew we had a problem and I knew more than likely what they were going to do. And they did. I received my security check in the mail yesterday minus $250.00 "for repairs"! Are you freakin kidding me? Really? First off, they should have communicated with me via email, text or better yet a phone call. But no...just crickets on their end and a cold envelope with the check. No response, no personal small note or anything came with the check. Again, just the "for repairs" on the check stub. I had a reasonable expectation that they would have been honest and forthright in dealing with this but, sadly for them, their behavior speaks for itself. It was unfair to say the least and again they made NO attempt to contact me to rectify , other than the check minus the $250. They have shown "very poor" business acumen for sure. Had they been honest and fair and if in fact the water stained the paint at all, (which I find hard to believe). No pics were sent to me to show the issue and the "mystery woman" who I spoke with should have footed the bill. Heck, I would have have payed half, which is even more fair. So my advice in dealing with this company is to "beware". My story is completely factual and not embellished in anyway. We will not be renting with them, obviously. Hopefully, although I doubt they will learn from this. Hope this helps folks. In closing, I left a stellar and glowing review on some damned website and if I can find it, will make an addendum. Shame on "Vacation Rentals of the Florida Keys". Was $250 worth this honest review? They should have been professional and called me.But chose not to. And so it is.
