What a hidden treasure this place is. We weren't sure what to expect as travellers from Australia but were pleasantly surprised. The village itself is small and doesn't seem ready for tourists, but the hotel was gorgeous. The staff were friendly, the rooms adequate - good beds, good shower - always a winner for us. The bathroom is small but it's enough. The restaurant is excellent. The food was the best we'd had in a long trip through Norway and Sweden - highly recommend it. And the surrounding area is just beautiful.

Villa Vågå is a great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, an amazing breakfast and the restaurant with delicious evening meals. Among the numerous Norwegian hotels we stayed at, some five stars, the Villa Vågå’s breakfast and especially the bread, was the best we had anywhere.

Well located to explore Jotunheimen and Dovre. Nice modern rooms and a nice pool. Friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. Special shout out to the ladies at reception who are super warm, welcoming and helpful. Also to the chef - the evening meal was absolutely delicious, and one of the best we’ve had in Norway (we’ve been living in Oslo for 1.5 years and are foodies!).

I stayed in this hotel just one night but it was a nice stay. The room is very small but cosy, the bathroom is modern, the only flaw is that it doesn't have any towel hanger. The breakfast had a large selection of food and it was very good. There's also a small pool but it's not heated.

First of all, it should be noted that the website has basically nothing to do with the hotels offer. You could say benevolently that these are two different worlds. Furthermore, our impression is that the guest is being systematically deceived in this stay!|In order to charge completely exorbitant prices for a bad service the guests seem to be a necessary evil here. The advertised pool wasn’t in operation! The restaurant, for which you still get dinner times at check-in, is actually closed. |The room was small, relatively cold, without a table, chair, or closet. All night there was some aggregate running in the house, I think it was the venting of the interior bathrooms, which were probably cheaply built and/or poorly adjusted. The bathroom is small and the door could not be locked. The door was simply out of order!|Breakfast was average but rather at the lower end of the rating then good. The fried eggs were cold but you have to admit that the bread was very good. Breakfast was served until 9:30 a.m. At exactly 9:30 a.m., the music is turned off and one of the few colleagues in the house appears, points out that the breakfast buffet is now being cleared away and after the staff served themselves.|For this distressing, bad overnight stay we paid about 200.00 euros, including breakfast!

Good day to everyone, who reads my vision of a hotel where you can feel at home - sincerely and from the heart. This is not the first time I have vacationed here. When you get to the Villa Vågå Hotel it’s immediately warm and truly good. Staff who are always friendly and will not pass you by. Will always help. An atmosphere where you invest yourself and the staff loves their work. Beautiful interior, cozy sofas, beautiful color combinations in the decor. Soothing music... Inspiration hotel. A hotel where you feel like at home. I really love Scandinavian style. Everything is organic, high quality and in moderation. At the same time, it remains comfortable and at the same time with style and its rich taste. Very delicious cuisine. What an interesting type of breakfast the hotel offers... Here are the photos below. Thank you for the comfortable beds, for the light in the eyes of the staff, for the fact that everyone is important in this hotel. I'll come back! And you captivated me with your pictures and motif. I have already arrived and started drawing myself. Thanks to the second home - my "Villa Vågå Hotel".

You find Vågå Hotel in a cross road, with Circle K as close neighbor. From outside it looks like a tired hotel, but it’s inside is fully refurbished, extremely small bathroom, no ventilation in bathroom or room. Window have to be open, and then you are kept awake due to the traffic outside. ||Nice restaurant, with two dishes, one meat one fish. Excellent food, but waiter’s had no clue about all the different beers or wine they have that can go with the two dishes 😉.||Breakfast was OK, but no warm food. ||SPA is out of use||The hotel is way overpriced.

The hotel is fine for an overnight stay, the rooms are clean. Most of the staff present when I was there, don´t speak good Norwegian, some not at all. But they were fairly friendly and helpful. The dinner served there was perfectly ok. The breakfast served in portions was not that good, and the waiting time was way too lang.
