We stayed here for 1 night on our way to oslo from Trondheim. The hotel has a very nice pool, nearby grocery store and their dinner was delicious, definitely get the grilled lamb. The bathroom was a bit too small, maybe it's just our room (234) bc on the website they show very nice bathrooms. Everything was newly renovated and very clean. The room would benefit from having a mirror to get ready. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a room in the area.

We had a pleasant two night stay, the bathroom is modern and clean with comfortable beds and a great breakfast. The town is cozy with many necessities. One minor feedback is that the hotel could improve the noise insulation between the rooms, at times we could hear our neighbours snoring snore. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, we booked online direct with the hotel, we took the option of the breakfast and an evening meal. We arrived and were greeted with a friendly smile. The check in process was seamless, we had a quick tour around the main rooms for breakfast and dinner, then shown the amazing pool and gym area. Our meal was amazing, the food was very impressive, both in presentation and taste. Breakfast was buffet style with a great selection of fruit, hot and cold meats, yogurts and cereal. Checking out was quick and easy, we only wish we could have stayed longer on this trip. We would defiantly recommend and return.

I don’t know what te negative reviews are about. This is a very nice hotel with super friendly personal. In the restaurant, choice is limited but everyone will find something and the food is very good!! Located between Rondane and Jotunheimen it is the perfect gateway to 2 of Norways most amazing national parks.

My family and I arrived around 7:15 pm, nobody was at the front desk, and it took around 15 minutes to talk to someone. The girl at the front desk was not very nice, she just told us about the dinner time, and also said that we have enough time to be there for dinner. After we got the room, we went down to the restaurant and the time was 8:10, the same girl came and said that we are sorry it is too late, because the kitchen will be closed at 9, and we can not accept you. Throughout our whole trip, we have been to eight hotels, and this was the first bad experience we've had.

What a hidden treasure this place is. We weren't sure what to expect as travellers from Australia but were pleasantly surprised. The village itself is small and doesn't seem ready for tourists, but the hotel was gorgeous. The staff were friendly, the rooms adequate - good beds, good shower - always a winner for us. The bathroom is small but it's enough. The restaurant is excellent. The food was the best we'd had in a long trip through Norway and Sweden - highly recommend it. And the surrounding area is just beautiful.

Well located to explore Jotunheimen and Dovre. Nice modern rooms and a nice pool. Friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. Special shout out to the ladies at reception who are super warm, welcoming and helpful. Also to the chef - the evening meal was absolutely delicious, and one of the best we’ve had in Norway (we’ve been living in Oslo for 1.5 years and are foodies!).

Villa Vågå is a great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, an amazing breakfast and the restaurant with delicious evening meals. Among the numerous Norwegian hotels we stayed at, some five stars, the Villa Vågå’s breakfast and especially the bread, was the best we had anywhere.
