Vagabond Backpackers - BBH

Graeme was super friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and events - a great host. The place is tidy and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable. Best part of all is the freshly baked bread in the morning. Unfortunately there was a group of tourists staying that didn't respect the quiet after 10pm and partied late into the night outside our room making it difficult to sleep. Place could use a bit of maintenance and perhaps a spring clean.

Very friendly stuff and a good place to stay! We had a double room with an own kitchen for a quite good price! Minus one star for the guy who stalked me (the owner??) for leaving my heavy backpack in the lobby during the last hours before our flight...

I recommend this hostel! Very friendly staffs, who are also backpackers. It is a great hostel to meet backpackers. Never miss the tasty bread in the morning. The housekeepers are awesome, and always keep my room clean. They have two adorable cats.😍 Thank Vegabond for being my first home in NZ.

A nice place to stay for longer time. Theres not much luxury but everything you need. Awesome stuff. Rooms maybe should get overhauled. Best thing - fresh bread in the morning. Have been there 01/2015.

I did not stay at the hostel, I merely looked at the notice board since I was trying to buy a used car. The staff were quite friendly though, and the building and location were quite beautiful.

Great value rooms, some are a little lived in with long term residents. Bit of a party house, definitely appeals to the 18-25 audience. Expect some parties and washing up waiting to be washed up!

Very friendly place. Room are clean. The louge is cosy. Showers are ok but it's missing a hook to put your clothes
