Townhouse Leipzig A Vagabond Club

It is a beautiful boutique hotel with warmly designed lobby, library/sitting room and breakfast restaurant. The location is super, in the old town across from the Thomas Kirche. The room was spacious with a small equipped kitchen (would be good to have a kitchen cloth/towel available), Important note! The view from outside is really very gloomy because there are no lights in the restaurant after 11.00hrs. Looks very desolate and unwelcoming, as if the hotel is closed. I would strongly suggest to keep the lights on to display a good atmosphere.

As a loyal TOWNHOUSE guest, I chose this brand in Leipzig without hesitation, although other The Management Symphony members stayed in a different hotel. However, a premium location doesn't guarantee a pleasant and satisfying stay! The words of the review from the end of July describe whole situation during my stay two months later. "Service and staff could definitely do with some more finetuning and attention ..." etc. Yes, the problem is PERSONNEL and I will be more specific in the letter addressed to the hotel owner. It's a shame, but I won't return to this property unless the attitude towards guests changes.

As a loyal TOWNHOUSE guest, I chose this brand again and without hesitation. Mistake!! I didn't read previous review from the end of July. The elevator was out of order again and the staff could definitely do with some more attention ... Yes, there is no operations supervision/ no management at all and the attitude towards guest by some of the staff is alarming. I will be more specific in a personal letter.

We spent 1 night at Townhouse Leipzig in late July 2025.|The hotel is hosted in an art-nouveau building right in the old town centre and in front of the Thomaskirche, known for its historic links with Bach, one of the famous sons on the city of music.|So ask for a room overlooking the church!||Rooms are a bit oldish and quite compact but rather comfortable. |Amenities include free minibar, tea and coffee facilities, and a kitchenette. ||During our visit the elevator was under repair but we were not informed before our arrival. This could have been a serious issue for disabled or elderly people. Quite a big service mistake!||Breakfast is not very rich in choice. They offer a small buffet, which could be definitely improved, plus an a la carte menu to order warm dishes. ||Service and staff are a bit hit or miss and could definitely do with some more finetuning and attention. ||Choose the Townhouse for its great location and competitive price, but don't expect a flowless stay.

Found this hotel by chance and it was an extreme positive surprise: roomsa re spacious clean and cozy. Breakfast is made it fresh in the morning and the Moldavian waitress was extremely kind in explaining the menu and all the choices I could have. Highly recommended

This is an excellent hotel and good value for money. It has spacious rooms and common areas and a great history. Best of all though are the staff. Alex and Corin on the front desk were outstanding. It is also well placed location wise. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Our new benchmark for awesome hotels. Everything about our stay was amazing. Location, service, rooms, breakfast. Get a room looking out over Thomaskirche if you can. JSB will look right back at you, but isn’t that why you’re in Leipzig anyway?

Well-equipped and nicely decorated hotel, perfectly located in the center of Leipzig opposite the Thomas church. The hotel has no parking garage, but the Q-park garage is less than 3 walking minutes away. There's another garage 2 minutes further away, for which the hotel offers a special fare. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the fact that within 2 minutes we were at the heart of the Christmas market. Our (ball)room was in the older part and original beams were visible; room soundproof though. Apart from the hotel Leipzizg surprised us in a very positive way; we'll be back for both!

If you love Bach, this is hotel for you! Imagine have delicious coffee just feet away from St. Thomas Church and Bach's statue. The hotel is easily located near the town square, (we arrived by train and were able to walk there very easily with our luggage). The service is WONDERFUL, and the rooms are clean, quite, and have everything a traveler needs to be able to relax. There is an elevator for the upper floors. The breakfast is delicious and has many choices for all dietary preferences.

Breakfast was pretty good! However, there was a very unpleasant smell in the entire sitting area (kinda like wet dog or cat). If that bothers you, stay away! But very good Desayunos Eggs!!
