I normally don’t give reviews (but hypocritically rely heavily on them) and was surprised this place didn’t have a higher score. We only went here because another place with more stars was closed for vacation. I told my partner to send me his photos so I could do this place proper. The service was fantastic, food was fabulous and all authentic dishes. We had the octopus, gnocchi with mussels, their traditional Portuguese soup and dessert. EVERY DISH was flavorful and amazing (forgot to take a photo of the soup). Will def go again if we find ourselves in Ponte Da Barca.

Lovely spot overlooking the river! Best food in the area, with the service being very friendly and home-like. Everything made fresh. Fantastic flavor combinations! In our 10 day visit in the area, my husband and I went back multiple times. Thank you Rafael & ladies in the kitchen! We will be back. (The food was enjoyed so much that we forgot to take pictures)

It used to be an old favourite of ours but now it seems under new management. The inside is very bare but the patio area is still the place to eat. It's lovely sitting outside looking over the river although the chairs and tables are starting to look a little worn. The food is pretty good. I had the beef, served with a bowl of fava beans and rice stew. The meat was juicy and tender. My wife had salmon and gnocchi. She would have preferred less gnocchi and perhaps with a salad, but pretty good. The dessert - ricotta, was excellent. Service was very good - we were the only people there which was a bit surprising at the end of May. It came to €70 with wine so it was rather pricey but we will be back!

Unquestionably, one of the best restaurants in Portugal. The starters were immersed in rustic flavours... Our main courses, simply a rich symphony of everything you'd hope for... and to top it off, cheesecake desserts, with a delicate yet easy consistency. The staff were beyond kind, helpful and above all awesome. And on a side note ... Without reservation, the steak was the best I've had in Portugal. I'm really look forward to returning!!!

We had a really bad dining experience here. When we arrived in the middle of the day, the place was nearly empty (only 2 tables had guests in) , yet the host rudely told us we’d have to wait 15 minutes for a table without offering us a seat inside while it was scorching hot outside (36 C). When we finally sat down, we were given a mediocre table by the stairs, while all the nice tables with a river view sat empty for our entire visit. Service was consistently dismissive and careless. We asked for lemonade with sugar, were told “of course,” and then never got the sugar until I had to ask again , 15 mins later, and without an apology. The same thing happened with ketchup. Requests were brushed off, ignored for 20 minutes at a time, and only reluctantly fulfilled. The food was just as disappointing: bland, overpriced, and poorly presented. The “steak” we ordered came with what felt like packet-style fries and an unseasoned nut mash that was never even described on the menu. For what we paid, the quality was shockingly low. The overall atmosphere made it worse we felt unwelcome from the start, as if they didn’t want us there. When it came to paying, the rude man who first talked to us, just pointed at the card machine with no smiles or thanks and just turn his back on me. Bear in mind I speak portuguese, so it was not because he couldn't speak my language. Between the rude reception, the indifferent service, and the bad food, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. There are too many good restaurants in Portugal to waste time and money here. I only put 2 stars because the view is lovely.

Rude service. I tried to have lunch here with my Mother. It was practically empty at 1:30pm…we sat on the terrace and ordered an appetizer and a main (a big steak) to share. We also wanted to order wine, but they told us we could not eat there unless we ordered a second main course. They really insisted on it, so we left. It seems silly to pass up customers when you are so empty.

A really excellent restaurant reflecting the views of many on here. The staff were superb and both professional and efficient. The food was great and quite large in portions. The views from the terrace on a warm and sunny day looking at the Roman bridge are quite something….followed by a gentle stroll along the river…perfect!

I love this place, the food is good, the atmosphere is great and most of all the staff are very nice. My husband and I encountered a problem. My husband forgot his phone in the room of the hotel the code of the door is sent to his phone and the staffs of the hotel helped us, They never left us until we got inside. My husband and I are really thankful to them. I can't wait to get back there this summer
